Ok.  I am not usually picky but this is driving me nuts.  First off I am using Captivate 13 on a PC.  When I open the program from my taskbar shortcut, after the initial "splash screen" the application opens on my primary monitor and opens at the full height of the screen minus the space for the taskbar at the bottom (see first screenshot).  I then drag it over to my other monitor but it stays the same size and will not maximize the application window even if I drag the window to the top of the screen or click on the maximize window button (see second screenshot).  In order to get the app window to take up the full height of the screen, I have to click on the maximize button and then manually drag the bottom of the window down to the bottom of the screen.  It would not bother me except sometimes the thumbnail view on the left and the timeline view at the bottom get cut off unless the app window is maximized.  I have tried adjusting my shortcut setting

I just want to let Adobe know that by not making a more distinguished name for the new captivate they have made my last 6 months an onboarding a nightmare.It's been 6 months of me training dozens of instructional designers and multimedia developers the difference between the two pieces of software.I'm regularly told I don't know what I'm doing because when people "google it" or use "chat gpt" and it tells them they can do things that I've told them they cant... Then I have to explain the results they are getting are for captivate classic, not the new captivate... 6 months of this...Adobe... why do you hate your userbase this much? Yes, I've seen Adobe claim it will eventually have all the same features as classic... When? Show me. Give me SOMETHING, to tell to the other people in my company. Honestly as soon as this project is done, my goal is to never touch captivate again. Does anyone have a work around that would stop captivate from adding random [silence] tags to my imported captions?I tried adding static background noise to fill the silence and it still puts in a silence tag. And yet if I import the exact same audio and caption file into articulate storyline, it does not add a silence tag... Why is this even a thing in captivate 13?

I’ve been working on a Captivate project for several months. I recently upgraded from Captivate 12.x to Captivate 13, and after a few weeks of working on the updated version, my Header (which includes a Table of Contents icon) started causing the application to crash. Now, every time I try to edit or fix that icon, Captivate freezes in a entirely blank window and I’m forced to quit the app. This happens consistently.I’m working on macOS Sequoia. In Preview mode, Captivate shows the icon as a “default image not found,” but when I go to Visual Properties > Appearance > Icon to update or replace it, the app crashes immediately. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and is there a workaround or fix?

Regarding the use of video in CP 2024. The videos do not play automatically, or I can't figure out how to do it.Regarding the mobile video positioning, I see that the frame isn't at the top of the video window, but rather in the center. This doesn't seem convenient. The Cp parameters don't seem sufficient for correct positioning.

Has anyone had issues with the accordion widget not aligning text properly? I keep aligning my body text to the left, but on preview it places it awkwardly inward. I can't find any setting that would cause this. The only solution I have found is to completely rebuild it, but I dont know what triggers it.

Hello,I have been experiecing intermitent issues with our course quiz completion data reporting to an LMS. Learners will pass the exam but the data is not sent to the LMS, so their completion is not recoreded. They take a screenshot and it shows they have passed the exam.  Are there any ideas for troubleshooting or workarounds to ensure that the data is sent to the LMS and the completion is recorded? Thank you!   

Hello everyone, I’ve encountered an issue while using timeline animation in Captivate. After setting up the timeline and testing the animation slide using the Preview Slide function, everything works as expected. However, when I preview the entire project starting from slide 1, the animation timeline behaves differently compared to the individual slide preview. Has anyone experienced this before or have any suggestions on what might be causing this issue?

I've just uploaded a draft course to our LMS-- ELMO . When viewed as a course in ELMO, the slide was a lot smaller than the screen (large margins or white space on all four sides) and it makes reading the text especially for text heavy slides, very hard. How do I resize please. I'm a first time user of Captivate and we're using version 13.

I have an HTML5 object with JavaScript that I would like to incorporate into Captivate 13. The JavaScript code is meant to tell the slide to show an object when conditions are met. In Captivate Classic, the code to do that was:  parent.cp.show("objectName");  I am able to get captivate to hide the object by inserting the code: cp.hide("objectName"); Which confirms that I have labled the object correctly. But clearly, the syntax that worked for Captivate Classic will not work here. What am I missing?

Good afternoon Community! I have tried looking around the Community to this answer, but can't seem to find anything that helps. I am currently running 12.6.0.63, completely fresh install. I create a new project, put in a multi column text box with the default text and save the project. When I click on "Preview" it just goes over to a grayed out screen with the spinning loading icon, as if something is trying to load, but never does. If I attempt to exit the program (I can only click on the upper file bar at this point) it will ask me to save, but is hidden under the loading icon and will not allow anything, forcing me to Ctrl+Alt+Delete out. I have all the necessary firewall exceptions in place;I have tried to reset to factory with the utils;I have changed where I am saving files, from networked drives, to local drive, onedrive...anywhere I can think of;My licensing is up to date and works fine;I have uninstalled, deleted ALL registry keys related to this;This has happened to

We are running a Magento 2 multi-website setup. On our default store view, the XML sitemap is generated correctly and includes all categories, including sub–subcategories.However, for some of our other websites, certain sub–subcategories are missing from the generated sitemap. The categories exist in the admin panel, are active, have URL keys, and appear properly in the frontend navigation. But they are not included in the sitemap for those specific websites.Has anyone faced this issue before, or is there something specific in Magento’s multi-store sitemap logic that could cause sub–subcategories to be excluded?www.gardenlux.nl  one of our website that have not generated the sub categories sitemap urlAny guidance on debugging or known fixes would be helpful.

When opening GENERATIVE AI, to use avatar, the following message appears (service not available). I have checked all the AI ​​functions in the preferences, I have even restarted Captivate. Hey, y'all. I've used the JavaScript below (inspired by Paul Wilson!), which has worked well to automatically scroll my long scroll projects. It works as designed in both Preview and within our company's LMS. However, it doesn't work in Share for Review. Anyone else experience this? Hello,I am working on a project in Captivate New and am finding that the ai voice volume seems to fluxuate from caption to caption. It sounds fine at 1st then when it shifts to the next caption may sound lower and then back up to loud the next.I am having to chop dialogue up to mantain the standard for number of words displayed per caption, per ADA guidlines, where it is recommended not to exceed more than 2-3 lines of text with between 32-42 chanracters per line.  I am using the same Ai Voice for the entire slide. Has anyone else encountered this issue and what is a solution or work-around you found to resolve it?   

I am working on a project where the client wants the project to start with closed captioning off, but allow the user to turn it on and off again if they wish. I thought this would be simple...but it appears that it isn't. If I use the toggle to turn closed captioning off at publish from the Project Properties, the CC button in the playbar remains grayed out and clicking on it doesn't reveal the captions if the user wants them on. The same is true if I publish with captions on but use an On Enter action on the first slide to turn captions off via setting the Project.ClosedCaptions variable to False. If I publish with captions off and then use a button to allow the user to turn captions on via setting the Project.ClosedCaptions variable to True, this does activate the captions- but then the playbar CC button does not work to turn the captions off again.  Is there any way to publish with captions off as the default, but allow the user to turn them on and off

Hi Community! I have a project with several brief video demos. At the end of each demo slide, the video "jumps" back to its first frame before transitioning to the next slide. There is no reflection of this in the demo (I don't accidentally click a "back" button on my browser) nor in the video editor (the video end is clean.) I don't have an image or video "hidden" in the back or the slide background, either. However, it happens in the Captivate and SCORM cloud preview modes. I have played with slide length, video editor, and re-recorded the demos to no avail. Any ideas?  Thanks in advance!  

I was wondering if this is 'normal'. I'm trying to add captions to some videos in my course, and assumed I would be able to see the wave forms to be able to time it correctly to the audio in the video file.But instead for some reason all I'm getting is a grey bar... and when I try to play the audio to try and time it... it jumps and does all kinds of weird things that make it impossible to retime.  I tried closing and reopening my file, and same thing. This seems to be a permanent glitch. But if someone knows a work around let me know. 

 In the old versions of captivate you could not select the published text, as it was an image. It is possible to do it now in version 13. When publishing I verify that it is still not.
