Hi there, I'm encountering a pretty significant bug in Captivate 12 that could cause major issues in one of my projects. And yes I am using the most recent version of Captivate 12, and working from a local drive.My course uses the header for displaying the course title, as well as having a hamburger icon in the top right representing the TOC that the user can toggle on and off with instead of using the playbar.However, my course has become quite large (127 slides long, 493 Mb) and I noticed that for some reason the icon in the header is no longer visible... it is there, but it is acting like the color has changed on the icon. When I go to select icon to change the color, the program crashes and says "An unexpected error has occured, which may cause Captivate to behave unexpectedly. You can restart Caaptivate with Backed-up project." However, even starting it up with a backed up project, this error still occurs. It lets me change the text and solid fill, but any time I touched 'icon' it

Hello Again Captivate Community,I am back here again pleading for a Hail Mary with my project.  Hopefully I can explain it clearly.  This is regarding the 'new' (no longer new really ;)) Adobe Captivate.  I am using Version 12.2 because at the time of the 12.3 release, my project files became buggy and non-functional.  As a result of this experience, I am insanely hesistant about upgrading to version 12.3 until I finish this massive project (34 'e-Learning modules or 'episodes' in total) and release it.  Perhaps 12.3 has this solution to my problem.  My project has both pre-built question slides (programmed as graded quizzes) and custom slides that I created.  These pre-builts are not all located within one section in this e-Learning course.  They are broken up and interspersed with some custom slides I created.  This feature (this design) of the project is greatly desired; I am trying my best to work within those parameters.  This

I have an Adobe Captivate 12.6 - Matching slide with 4 options and 4 answers.When the learner first arrives at this slide, if they click submit, the ( Incomplete Flag triggers ) and they see the Incomplete Message  which indicates they need to answer the question before continuing. The problem is if the learner fills out one of the four options, and clicks submit without filling out the remaining options, they will get the incorrect Flag since the answer is wrong. Is there a way to keep showing the Incomplete message until all options have been filled out?Basically, forcing the learner to fill out the question requirements entirely before submitting.

Quick question — when I publish a Captivate project as HTML5, the audio sync seems slightly off compared to what I see in preview. Has anyone run into this and found an easy fix?

I'd like to have a quiz at the beginning of my course which, if passed, will just send the learner to the completion page and let them skip the course content. If failed, they would need to view the course content.Is this possible in Captivate 12.6?Thanks!

When I insert an MP4 video into Captivate, the playback looks noticeably lower quality than the original file. I’ve checked the size and format, but it still seems compressed after publishing. Is there a way to keep the video quality closer to the source?

We want to change the question feedback based on the answer the learner provides. If the question is: what is one of the forbidden spells in Harry Potter?PatronusLeviosaLeviosahAvada Kedavra We would want the feedback to say: "This spell summons a magical guardian" when they answer "Patronus," but "This spell levitates objects" when they answer "Leviosah" and "This spell doesn't do much of anything" when they answer "Leviosa." How would we do this?

Hi,I am using AI voices in Adobe All-New Captivate v 12.6.0.63 for training purposes.To sync audio with the animation, how do I add pause and break in the AI voices generated audio?Please help! The VTML tags were helpful in Adobe Classic; I am not finding the option to use the same in All-New Captivate. Your guidance would be greatly appreciated. 

I have created a 42-slide training module with 15 question slides on a Windows 11 machine and updated Captivate to 12.3.0.12. When I preview the training and publish it, I get a blank white screen on load. The first slide contains an opening video. During the creation, the preview worked fine. I see responses to similar issues, but the results are not relevant, given the age of the issue.   When I attempted to update Captivate, it failed at 96%, so I backed-up my files and uninstalled the platform, then installed the latest version.  The results are the same, with the latest update installed.

Has anyone developed SCORM courses for Dayforce? We are having issues with our SCORM packages that worked fine in Workday. There is no option for opening in a new window, so we're playing with the best size to develop. We're also having issues with completions and launching a second lesson. Just curious if anyone has worked with Dayforce as an LMS and has some best practices. Thanks.

I’m testing a responsive Captivate project and some text looks fine on desktop but gets clipped on mobile. Is there a simple fix without rebuilding layouts?

I recently had my workplace install Adobe Captivate so I can create training presentations however when I launch it, it shows the Adobe Captivate image, then it flashes grey, then it flashes black and never proceeds from the black state. I don't know how to fix this, it just gets stuck on this and nothing ever happens.  

Looking for a quick answer here to see if there is any javascript available to enable a button in a project to play the project 1.5x, 2.0x etc. This would not be for an embedded video, but globally play the project when playing in HTML5 these faster speeds. I can find the fps script, speed script, etc - but all of these really impact the timeline resources exclusing the sound narration. Thanks! Dave

I am attempting to upload my course on a LMS. The projects publishes and zips correctly on my computer. When I upload it to the LMS, it fails to upload.  However, I have noticed that when I select Quiz - Enable reporting for this project and publish the project, it then uploads to the LMS.  Does the Enable reporting for this project have to be selected to upload a projecto a LMS? 

We recently updated to Captivate 11.8.1 because our Mac users will be going to Ventura. We are now having problems with our closed captioning. The text is black no matter what color you set it in the settings.  This does NOT happen on the 11.8.1 version for Windows, so it's obviously Mac related. We are stuck with this version and we caption all our training which will be going live in a month. Anyone have a fix or a workaround?

OK, let me go straight to the point:Look at this image: I have a valid serial number for Captivate 11:I download the product, install it and... NEVER ASKS ME FOR THIS SERIAL! Instead, I login using the same Adobe ID associated with this serial and purchase and... ta dah!! appears in trial mode.Please is there ANYBODY out there that is able to reply something meaningful to this mess????? Thanks 

I'm a creative cloud user and just downloaded the captivate free trial. It keeps freezing and crashing and is unusable. I have a brand new Mac that is updated and says it's compatible.  i tried every suggestion I could find on these message boards and online. NOTHING is working. Even if I get it to open and begin working I can add one word to a slide and when I go to save it freezes my entire computer and I have to manually restart.  i also found adobe support is practically non existent and their AI chat bot is worse than useless. does anyone have a magic secret for getting captivate to function?  Please oh please I have spent my entire evening just trying to get this to work. 

I created a several test simulation in the "New" Captivate without success (I'm running the latest Ventura on Macbook Pro). The audio works inside the application and in preview, but not when I open the html file in my browser. Am I missing something?There's no way to toggle the audio setting in the preferences in this new version. There's a dropdown menu for an "Audio Virtual Driver:" but there's nothing there to select. I do not know how to fix this problem. I would appreciate any advice!

I've made a project on the New Captivate, everything went fine while working and previewing, but when I publish the project, the fonts I used change completely to Times New Roman. Should I use Arial only? I don't remember having this issue on Captivate Classic. Am I missing something?Another issue I ran into, my project has audio in the timeline, it works fine on Windows but there's no audio on mac, at least not on Ventura, not Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Brave. My project has a video embedded and the audio works when published, but the timeline audio is missing on Mac. Is this a bug?Thanks in advance for any help you can provide here. 

Good Morning All. Our company originally had 2019 Captivate Classic and the "Return to Quiz" feature worked like a charm. Our company decided to install the New Captivate and keep the original Captivate Classic that we had been using. The benefit of using the New Captivate was evaluated to not be a workable fit for our Team at this time. So we the developers are continuing to use the 2019 version. BUT the "Return to Quiz" feature does not work. ANY fixs out there. We are currently having to use "Return to Quiz" buttons on the remediation page, and advanced actions on each quiz question to get it to show when the learner choses the wrong answer.
