HelloI assume Adobe is going to take steps to ensure that Illustrator complies with the EU Cyber Resilience Act so that Illustrator can continue to be sold in the EU when it comes into force. Are you going to provide advice for plugin developers regarding their responsibilities in order to comply?Thank you 

Illustrator 30.0 lagging on MAC OS Tahoe 26.1I won't write much. This issue has been contanstly talked about on the forums and on reddit for the past 3 months, which has been flagged by the developers.Hopefully, we will see a compatibility fix between illustrator and mac os Tahoe very soon. All I ask is the developers update us on the current situation regarding this issue.

I worked on this presentation in Illustrator, and I was saving periodically (the file is saved on the cloud, not on the desktop). Today, I finished a few pages, saved the file, and went to get lunch. No crash, no nothing. After I returned, I opened the file, and all the text was gone. The shapes I have created are there, but all the text is gone. It is not hidden in another layer, I worked on one layer only. When I closed the file, it showed up as a recovered file. When I tried to use the type tool, it came up with a notification that says " Can't create type". Tried uninstalling and installing, but did not work. Tried going to Creative Cloud online and opening the document there, but it opened the same file again. All other files seem to be ok, just this one.

Every time I open a new .ai file in Illustrator, it’s set in CMYK mode and Proof Set Up View CMYK. The problem is that this mode is much more dark than before.I also work in a cloud and I check this issue with my coworkers. We both have the same settings (Colour mode European Purpose 3 in Bridge), CMYK mode for printing, GPU off… My screens are calibrated too.However, when I print, the results is notably much more clear than in screen. Last time, my illustrations were so dark that they look also black. If I want to see what I a doing, I must change to RGB and cross my fingers for my illustrations and edited photos have the same clarity as in screen. Any idea what I could do?Thanks

Sempre quando abrimos o illustrator se inciar com a tela inicial com os trabalhos recentes e etc, e ja nao aparece como antes, e quando quero abrir uma nova mesa de trabalho nao me deixa e tambem quando vou SALVAR COMO segue igual, me aparece a opcao de clicar mas eu clico e nao acontece nada, por agora estou salvando como copia. Depois de 3 anos essa é a primeira vez que me acontece.

There is a fundamental issue in Adobe Illustrator that needs attention. The keyboard shortcuts for Arrange  Bring Forward Send Backward Bring to Front Send to Back  simply stop working. They are correctly assigned in the Keyboard Shortcuts panel.They worked before.They are still mapped correctly. But they do nothing. Meanwhile, right-click → Arrange works perfectly. So Illustrator can execute the command — it just ignores the keyboard input.

This is really strange (and a problem when working with packages).The same shadow effect applied with the same parameters produces two different results.How is this possible? Are we doing something wrong? See the attached image. 

Some shapes consist of many parts with different colors and cutouts. To keep them separate, I have to group them.But sometimes, when I ungroup all the objects on the page, everything falls apart and gets messy.So, I use the Pathfinder to merge simple, single-color shapes.But for complex shapes with strokes and different colors, this doesn’t seem to work—merging them just combines them into a single object.Is there a way to solve this problem? It’s a bit like Smart Objects in Photoshop.Please see the attachment for a sample. 

If there are a lot of icons, they end up too scattered, making it difficult to control alignment and spacing.Like in InDesign, you can embed them freely and use the object positioning feature. 

Hello Adobe Illustrator Community,I am seeking advice regarding font embedding in EPS files created from Adobe Illustrator.As per our client requirement, all fonts in the final print PDF must be Fully Embedded and not Embedded Subset. We have successfully achieved this for the main book content by generating the PDF from our pagination software with full font embedding enabled.However, we are facing an issue with image elements. Wherever Illustrator-created EPS images are placed in the book, the fonts used within those images appear as Embedded Subset in the final PDF instead of Fully Embedded. As a result, the entire book PDF contains fully embedded fonts except for the text within the EPS-based figures.While creating the EPS files in Illustrator, we have enabled the "Embed Fonts" option. How do I recover a file I started 4 hours ago and have not saved, but some how I pressed command/w and when asked If I want to Don’t Save) (Cancel) (Save) . the lates update SWITCHED “CANCEL” AND “DONT SAVE” AND MY WORKING FILE IS JUST GONE!!! GONE 4 HOURS GONE! seriously, does Adobe developers even use their own product??? these programs are becoming unusable with all of this weekly /daily updates. This is not the only problem Ive had lately this just tops it as cant even recover my work.And I don’t want to hear You Should Have saved or have auto saved. THAT IS NOT THE POINT. I pay way too much money for this company to screw with my paying job

In InDesign, I always like to set Ctrl+Q as the shortcut for the Selection tool, so I can quickly exit text frames.But in Illustrator, configuring shortcuts is nearly impossible. So I have to use Ctrl+click to temporarily exit the text frame.Old habits die hard—sometimes I try to press V to switch to the Selection tool, only to realize I’ve accidentally typed the letter V inside the text frame.Do you guys have a better method?

Might be a simple thing - but how do I get the Rotate and Scale tools to both be visible at the same time in the Toolbar. At the moment it looks like I can either have one or the other live and I have to click on the little arrow in the bottom right corner to toggle between them. When I have the Rotate tool active and click on the 3 dots at the bottom of the tool bar (to edit the Toolbar) the Scale tool is greyed out - so I cant add it as a separate tool in the tool bar? Why is this? And is there also a way to have both active at the same time. The same question applies to the white pointer arrow and the arrow with the ‘+’ next to it. Why cant these both be in the Toolbar at the same time? See image below - showing a greyed out Scale icon that can’t be added whilst Rotate is shown in the Toolbar.

My object/shape dimensions used to appear in the top right control bar. Now, they are gone & don't appear in transform menu either. But "Turntable" does. How do I get my object dimensions to appear when I select that object? Thank you. When I will turn the Control bar off and then on, my object dimensions appear, but when I click off the object and then back on, the dimensions disappear again. Is the appearance of the “Turntable” function in the Transform menu where the dimensions used to be part of it? How do I turn off Turntable to test this?

I treid reinstalling the app, restarting my laptop , running as administrator and updating windows. After updating windows it opened but when i tried to open a file form my documents it stopped working again and said the same message. The wierd thing is my photoshop is working fine. Somebody please help all my work is on here.

Comparação, Nota-se a existência de uma linha brancaTudo bem pessoal? Venho enfrentando esse problema desde versões que vieram pós a 28.4.1 com meus mockups.Como podem ver, eu rasterizei algumas formas nas medidas originais dos arquivos que utilizo no trabalho, e depois de rasterizadas fiz cópias baseadas no tamanho que são impressas para agilizar o processo e não precisar redimensiona-las toda vez. Usando a versão 28.4.1 e anteriores, o processo segue sem problemas, após exportar as imagens estão prontas, porém pós esta versão, os arquivos que eu exporto seguindo essa receita começaram a vir com linhas brancas que não são visiveis dentro do programa, apenas após exportar.Noto também, que isso não acontece caso eu tente exportar imagens diretamente colocadas no Illustrator, mas acontece com qualquer mockup criado a partir de uma forma rasterizada, alguém sabe me dizer o que é?

I want to adjust the opacity of the objects on Layer A so they serve as a light background, and then trace over them on Layer B.Is this possible?If the objects on Layer A already have opacity settings, can I preserve and restore those settings?A script would work too. Shift + Ctrl + F10This seems to work only on the selected object.

On Macbook, in Illustrator 2026, when you double click on the color box to choose a color, if you use the color picker from there (the one that only picks color, not the stroke qualities), there’s the following bug: you choose whichever colour, but when you go to click on the “ok” button, the color picker will pick the grey color of the button. It’s still picking even when you’re clicking inside the window; you can see by dragging the window from the top bar, which will result in colors behind the pointer being picked. The only way to pick a color correctly is to confirm it with the “Enter” keyboard button instead of pressing “ok”. Any solutions?

Hi guys,Quick question about color profiles. I designed some brand assets in Illustrator using RGB, but when I drop them into my Premiere Pro timeline, the colors look slightly washed out and don't match the original design.How do you guys manage color consistency between Illustrator and video post-production?
