I have been using the keyboard shortcut for non-breaking spaces for ages (Ctrl-Alt-X). Since the latest update, the shortcut does not work. I tried to customise my shortcuts, but it would not let me.

Hello, I have a design I created using the transform mirror tool. I created the guideline using the pen tool and reflection across that axis by drawing with the blob brush tool. Now that the design is finished, I don't know how to get everything that was drawn to combine into one vector so that I can fill individual sections and recolor it. If I delete the vertical reflect line, it causes both sides to come to the center. Even after selecting everything on the mirror layer and expanding, it doesn't remove the mirror function. please help!  

Colors in Illustrator don’t match colors elsewhere. I go to color settings and this is all I have: I tried to follow the instructions at the top of the dialogue box. Bridge crashes when I try to do this. I’ve already uninstalled/re-installed Bridge; it still crashes when I try to follow these instructions.  Side note: Why can’t I select “North America General Purpose,” as I’ve seen others have selected? From the settings drop down, I go to custom: Now, my previous version of Illustrator had an option called US Web Coated (SWOP). As you can see, that is no longer available to me. I have tried to download the ICC Color Profiles from Adobe.  These options do not appear when I try to load them via “Load,” per my  1st screenshot.  What can I do? The panel frames and basic UI (search bars, buttons) render, but the actual list of scripts is entirely blank. i have illustrator 2024 but i need 2023 or previous for a plug in. when i press previous versions on the download page nothing comes up.

How do I remove all the lines when I make a square? I think it's some setting I've messed up. 

I already knew CEP, but I just learned something new called UXP.However, I can find documentation for Photoshop,but I can't find documentation for illustration.When will it be released?

Hi Adobe team and community,I'm developing a UXP plugin that currently supports Photoshop and InDesign, and I'd like to add Illustrator support.The confusion:The official UXP versions page (https://developer.adobe.com/xd/uxp/uxp/versions/) clearly lists Illustrator with UXP support:Illustrator 23.0 → UXP v5.5 Illustrator 27.0 → UXP v6.3However, various forum threads from 2024-2025 state that "UXP is not available in the released version of Illustrator" and that it requires beta access.My questions:Is UXP now publicly available for Illustrator (as of February 2026), or is it still beta-only? If it's available, where can I find the Illustrator UXP API documentation? I can find docs for Photoshop (require('photoshop')) and InDesign (require('indesign')), but nothing for Illustrator (require('illustrator')). When drawing with the paint brush tool it stops drawing after about 8 seconds. If i drawer fast or slow it only drawers for a short time. I timed it to find that it only draws for 8 seconds. If I then start drawing again it will draw longer but still stop after about 30 seconds.

Hello,   I am creating 300+ icons and when I export them for screens there is always an extra pixel. Ex. they are supposed to be 24x24 but they save as 25x24.   I have tried multiple trouble shooting techniques that I have read in forums but nothing I have tried seems to work.   Has anyone found a solution to this?   THANKS!   {Renamed by MOD}

Hey all.  This is probably a really easy answer, but it’s late, my date got screwed, I’m irritated and blah blah blah.  I’m working on an annual report for a non-profit that I work for.  I need to create this text effect and am not sure how to do it.  I know I should just figure it out, but I already wasted two hours working on another concept that was more than I was capable of pulling off.  So, I’m a bit behind the 8 ball here time wise.   I would appreciate any help. thank you! 

Somehow, I created this transparent editable text layer but I can’t remember what I did or where I learned this, so I am hoping some experts can help. All text is editable. Nothing is masked and nothing is grouped. When click, both layers appear as a compound shape in the transparency panel. Blending is normal. Opacity 100%.  

Hi, I have a problem with my illustrator CC 2025. I have try to use the gaussian effect on vector object and when I apply multiply and adjusting the transparency, the effect changes. Can you see the difference with the first image and the last? Once I play around with the transparency of multiply blending, the gaussian changes effect differently even I change back to the same setting as initial starting.  Does anyone has this problem and solved them?

Hi, I have several specific swatch colors saved in the panel.I need to set the color of multiple selected elements to a specific Swatch color, but the Recolor Artwork menu doesn’t show me a list of the swatches I made. Please see attached screenshot. Is this something even possible to achieve in Illustrator?

The Layers panel displays thumbnails incorrectly. There are two main issues:1. The selected layer in the panel doesn't match the selected element in the document. To fix this, you need to change the pane properties (size) each time.2. The thumbnails look like the attached preview. 

Illustrator 30.0 lagging on MAC OS Tahoe 26.1I won't write much. This issue has been contanstly talked about on the forums and on reddit for the past 3 months, which has been flagged by the developers.Hopefully, we will see a compatibility fix between illustrator and mac os Tahoe very soon. All I ask is the developers update us on the current situation regarding this issue.

Hi,Does anybody know how to paste an object into the perspective grid?Just to be more clear, I know how draw objects from scratch that will snap into the grid (Perspective Grid, there is a tool for that SHIFT+P) , but I have no idea how to copy and paste an existing object into the perspective grid so it snaps to it and act as any other object would normally do after drawing it by using the perspective grid.Your help much appreciated.Thanks

Like the title says, This seems to be happening randomly, and frequently.I will be working in my document, drawing new shapes, adjusting fills, etc. (design stuff)And when I go to change a text element, it's been duplicated (in place, directly on top of the original text field) and converted to curves.I have gone through the tedious process of manually deleting these duplicated layers hundreds of times. It just keeps happening.I have restarted my macbook pro.I have been saving as .aiMy adobe illustrator is up to date.

Hello! I have an issue with patterns in Illustrator - I can't resize patterns within a filled shape (preferences 'transform pattern tiles' is ticked). If I resize the whole shape using the bounding box corners, the pattern will change while actively changing the scale, but when I release, the pattern pings back to the original size.If I use the transform scale option, sometimes it works! But other times when the dialog box is open, the scale of the pattern changes in preview, but once I click okay, it pings back to the original scale. I hope this is clear and makes sense. Does anyone know if there is a bug? It's disrupting my workflow.

I think I’ve finally narrowed this down!I’ll cut to the chase:• Custom Action #1:  Transform Panel > Flip Horizontal• Custom Action #2: Transform Panel > Flip VerticalTriggering Actions #1 or #2 with the play button in the Actions Panel - or a hotkey linked to the action - is successful if:• The Transform Panel is open in a Panel and is the Active Tab• The Transform Panel is completely closed (triggering the actions then open the Panel floating somewhere in the workspace)Triggering Actions #1 or #2 with instantly cause Illustrator (30.2.1) to CRASH if:• The Transform Panel is present in a Panel in the workspace, but is not the Active Tab Whew!That’s a load of frustration off my mind!My Fix: I now just keep the Transform Window open in its own small Panel all the time. I never use it anyways, and would prefer to just keep it closed, but it’s annoying to have it pop up every time I flip an object, so keeping it stuffed quietly in the corner is the next best thing.
