Questions

When I am trying to use the Mockup tool, I will place an image and then place the Vector Logo on top, select both items, and ask Illustrator to CREATE MOCKUP.  When the mockup is created, Illustrator is putting a white box behind the vector file, on top of the image. See attached images

Tenho dois problemas que vem do ano passado pra cá, após as atualizações.1 - Após algum tempo usando o Illustrator o clique com o botão direito do mouse para funcionar e não abre mais o menu de opções que deveria abrir. Isso é resolvido fechando o aplicativo por completo e abrindo novamente, mas é algo muito irritante. Já foram lançadas várias atualizações ao longo do ano e isso nunca foi corrigido.2 - Quando você passa o mouse sobre uma ferramenta ela exibe uma janela com animação explicando o uso da mesma. As vezes essa janela fica travada ali mostrando uma animação, mesmo eu estando trabalhando com outra ferramenta em uma prancheta, só desaparece se eu voltar com o mouse em cima dela.

When using freeform gradients the dither checkbox seems missing. Is this a bug or a missing feature? 

Opened a file shows only on Home Screen. Couldn't open it on it’s own window.

When is Illustrator going to work stably and stop lagging after just an hour (or less with bigger files) of work? I have a m1 max with a ton of RAM, but that doesn't stop it from lagging and crawling constantly. Holy moly, what am I paying for?! The relink button on the Links palette cannot have a keyboard shortcut assigned to it. It should. This would save many people hours of time and frustration. And it would allow many people to use Illustrator for placing art instead of InDesign, which has too many other limitations for serious illustration production work. This is NOT the same as the place command with “replace” selected. The Relink functionality allows you to select multiple objects and update each of them one at a time, from front to back. Place doesn’t do that.When updating a bunch of files, this is the functionality that is needed. I use Replace multiple times a session, sometimes dozens of times in a session, and clicking that tiny button is annoying and slows down my workflow significantly.Adding Replace to the keyboard shortcuts menu is fairly straightforward and could be implemented and tested easily. This would also allow for additional automated testing to be done on workflows that current require manual manipu

Hi there to All,Is there a way to apply a background colour to a charcter style in Illustrator? I’m after an effect like so (please see screen below), which I’m currently achieving by having placed a colour-filled rectangle behind the text. The trouble is that when I alter text (add/ remove some) and the text changes position, the position of the rectangle doesn’t change and I have to manually adjust it. It would be so much chandier if I could somehow integrate it with the text, so it all moves together…Also - is there a way of adding a custom colour into the ‘Character colour’ palette (in ‘Character Style Options’> ‘Character colour’)? (I tried adding it as a swatch first, but it doesn’t seem to work).Thank you!

I would like to create an upside down portrait artboard.let’s say you have two artboards side by side one is normally reading. if it had page numbers they would be at the top of the artboard. I then want to create a second artboard that is rotated 180 degrees from the first one.  So looking at it in illustrator the page number is now at the bottom of the page and upside down.But if you go to print I need the printer to understand that they both need to print with the page number at the top

I’m getting odd artifacts when using pathfinder where the overlapping objects meet tangentially at an edge. I’m also going to try Shape Builder to see if I can get different results.[edit] Same thing happens with shape builder.Below, two circles  - I’m trying to remove the yellow from the red; the highlighted thing on the right is the closeup of where they meet at the top. The paths, however, look fine.Any idea what might be causing this?thanks 

Hi everyone,I'm working on a financial illustration in Illustrator and need to calculate a blended interest rate from multiple loans with different balances and rates.For example: Loan A: $50,000 at 5.25% Loan B: $30,000 at 6.75% Loan C: $20,000 at 4.90% I know I can't simply average the percentages because each loan has a different balance.Is there an easy way to calculate the correct weighted/blended rate without doing all the math manually every time?Thanks in advance!

Hi! all of a sudden my Illustrator crushed. I've tried reseting the computer, Uninstalling and reinstalling an older version but nothing seems to be woeking. I've managed to open a simple png but the minute itry to open an Illustrator file it stucks everything 😞 would appriciate some suggestionsThank you

Hi,How would you create what’s in the attached image?Ideally still as an intact path and not an expanded path that has been sheared and rotated.Also is it possible to then modify the stroke?For example, have it be a gradient or modulate the width of the dashes.Kindly,Jeremy

My Illustrator app suddenly does not work in any way. Everytime I open up the program, the app freezes upon the first click, goes unresponsive, and eventually crashes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, I have tried resetting the preferences, I have had a screenshare support sessions with an Adobe Agent, i've updated the drivers to my graphics card, I've tried opening in safe mode, running as administrator, and I've even tried installing previous versions of AI, none of which has gotten me any closer. Occasionally, if the program does no close after 5-10 minutes of being unresponsive, I will be able to open or create a new file and work on the program relatively unhindered, but whenever I try to save that file, it will take me another 5-10 minutes, even if the file is blank.  I also have been able to use other Adobe programs like PS and InDesign just fine without any issues. This has been solely an Illustrator issue. Any help is appreciated

Since updating to 30.4, any time I attempt to crop an image (very often due to shrinking embedded photos for the correct DPI) if I unintentionally make the crop selection too large, it no longer snaps to the corners like it used to, but defaults to generative AI. I never want to generate. Will there be a way to turn this function off in preferences? It is affecting my workflow to the point of having to downgrade back to 30.3. 

Can someone digitally fold the attached layout template (in PDF) for me? It should look something like the attached jpg, which is the prototype of my packaging. 

I want to select text that matches a regular expression with a length of 0, such as `^`, `$`, or `(?=a)`. If the length is 1, it can be selected using TextRange, but InsertionPoint does not have a method for selecting text. I want to print my pdf file on Adobe Illustrator with my HP Envy 1600 All in One printer but the print dialogue box will not accept composite as the mode 

Just like in InDesign, when you package a file from Illustrator, it would be nice to automatically be able to also rip a PDF so people can review the design before launching AI. thanks for considering

Why can't I use the brush tool in Illustrator   {Renamed by MOD}

I have a computer with a 20-core processor, but Illustrator only uses 2 cores. What should I do? Change the settings to use all cores. Please help.
