HalloIk heb recent een Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge aangeschaft en probeer Adobe Illustrator te downloaden via Creative Cloud. Tot mijn grote teleurstelling merk ik dat er voorlopig enkel een heel beperkte webversie beschikbaar is en dat de volledige desktopversie niet kan worden geïnstalleerd op dit toestel. De Galaxy Book 4 Edge draait op Windows 11 ARM met de Snapdragon X Elite chip. Hierdoor zijn veel populaire apps, waaronder Illustrator, nog niet compatibel. Volgens Adobe is er momenteel geen native versie van Illustrator voor ARM beschikbaar. Ze raden aan om feedback te geven via hun UserVoice-platform zodat dit sneller opgepikt wordt door hun ontwikkelteam.Voor mij is dit een groot probleem, omdat ik Illustrator nodig heb voor mijn examen in januari. Het is zelfs doorslaggevend of ik deze laptop zal behouden of niet. Mijn vraag is dan:- Zijn er concrete plannen of een tijdlijn wanneer Illustrator beschikbaar zal zijn voor de Galaxy Book 4 Edge?- Zijn er tijdelijke oplos

I upgraded to Illustrator 2026 yesterday, and today it's telling me it can't open many of my files because "the account you signed in with doesn't have access to this file. Contact the owner for more info." What?? I'm the owner....I didn't create a new account...what is going on?? Somebody please help, I'm locked out of so many important files. 😭

I have a JPEG of a 1939 Wyoming map that I'd like to overlay with a line of the route my father took on his motorcycle.  Rough idea attached below with orange line sketched in amateur freehand with my mouse.  Ideally I'd like to have the line precisely match the old Highway with drop shadow, glow, and the like. Perhaps use Illustrator to make a line with Bezier curves etc?  But that seems onerous.  Any ideas welcome - thanks in advance! 

Dear community,I can’t make any progress on my own anymore and need help.A few days ago, I updated Illustrator to the latest version, and since then I’ve been getting these strange errors in my paths (see attachment). I’m using a drawing tablet (XP-Pen Artist Pro 12) and the latest Illustrator version on Windows.Since these errors only started appearing after the update, I tried installing older versions - but that didn’t help. Of course, I also reinstalled the graphics tablet driver.Does anybody have an idea what else I can try?

I'm using Illustrator 2026 and finding myself struggling with artboards. The name is now on top in a bright font, and as I add graphic elements that are bigger than the artboard, they cover the name so I can't see it. I also can't select or move the artboard. How can I fix this?

I’m trying to apply the same appearance from one object to a group of objects, but the appearance only applies to one piece of the group instead of the whole thing. How do you do this? When I alt-drag an appearance, it only applies to the singular part of the group of objects that I release the click on.

I tried restarting my computer, Illustrator, changing the name of the file, changing the predetermined program associated to .ai files but nothing works. When I try to open it, it says "Reading illustrator files" but nothing happens after that.

Okey I'm genuinely lost on this matter. I have an assignment where I have to animate an illustrator file (a hero guy where his arms and cape move). I already got the illustrator file but it's my job first to put both arms and cape in separate layers so I can animate them since they're all in one big layer. Here comes my issue, I exactly copied the steps my lecturer did. I made a new layer ''right arm'', I selected the right arm cut it and went to my layer ''right arm'' and clicked ''clicked to target'' and used the shortcut ctrl+shift+v to paste in that new layer but instead it made a whole new layer for me called ''isolution mode'' and I don't know? I followed the exact same steps my lecturer did so why does it not work for me? PS the screenshot is in Dutch but you should get an idea what the layers mean.

One 'feature' that really bugs me about Illustrator is that you can make many changes to a document, save it as a PDF, turn off Preserve Editing Capabilities, and Illustrator will mark the document as 'saved', allowing you to close it without prompting.The risk is that you can easily lose work by exporting a low-res proof, and then accidentally closing without any warning or prompts that you will lose the editable file. It would seem like a simple fix, don't mark the document as saved if saving without full editing checked. BTW is a NOT a fan of how Illustrator does dual formats ai/pdf

Is there any on-going issue with the Montserrat font family?It is not listed on CC that it is expiring anytime soon, but I've been getting some weird issues on AI, with some of the variants of the font not showing on the list (ex. Bold, Semibold, but the italic versions are there).Today I had to uninstall and reinstall the font twice...Oddly enough, the font seems to work perfectly fine on InDesign.I'm running on a 2024 iMac with the latest Sequoia OS. All Adobe apps up to date.Anyone?

Hello everyone,I'm trying to write a script that changes the default fill content. It is pretty straightforward for RGBColor and CMYKColor (and NONE), but I'm finding difficulty finding a way to place a gradient or a fill by name (they exist in the swatches so a if there's a way to set a swatch to the fill can be a solution.

hi There, I am using Adobe illustrator and a new mac book pro. However, the lasso tool is not giving me any options - such as polygonal lasso etc, also some of the tools are greyed out when i open the "all tools" section. I cleared my library cache as advised by the ai assistant with adobe - but still its not working. Any help would be be much appreciated? thanks !

Hello,I believe that the Blob brush "merging feature" with the same fill color is a bit too aggressive, so much that I'm considering it a bug. In the attached example, I have the neck selected and I intentionally set it to "Draw Inside" because I only intend to paint inside of it. the problem is that "Draw behind" gets circumvented when I paint with the same color (the darker color here) that an area outside the "Draw behind" area has (the face shadow). In such a scenario, the expected behavior is that we remain within the masked area, and the blob brush would only join with paths with similar fill that are within that mask.Should I post this bug in https://illustrator.uservoice.com/ or would it be seen here?

The (CMD+2) Lock shortcut all of a sudden is not working. REALLY ANNOYING. I have tried resetting preferences, restarting mac and renaming the shortcut. All did not work. I can change the shortcut to (CMD+3) and it works, but I can't for soem reason put it as (CMD+2) once I delete the shortcut. I use this shortcut all the time, really frustrating that it now does not work. Any ideas? Version 30.0

Hi everyone,I work for a print company and we’re experiencing a serious issue that has only started happening in the last couple of months, despite using the exact same workflow for years without problems.   Our Setup / WorkflowWe design in Adobe Illustrator We send the AI file directly into Agfa Asanti (RIP software) Asanti sends the job to our printer All software is fully up to date (Illustrator, Asanti, OS)   The IssueWhen we load an Illustrator file into Asanti, some artwork elements randomly shift position normally being images including PNG, JPG and TIFFS but all varying from different file sizes.The original AI file is perfectly correct and shows no issues. We have found to fix it we just need to resave the same Illustrator file again and re-import it and it's fine. This never used to happen. Does anyone know of a setting where I can prevent Illustrator from automatically selecting Rotate Transform and Round Corners as the first option in views >50%?I want to grab an object with the selection tool and move it somewhere else, but these pseudo-intelligent features make it impossible to do so because something always gets in the way. Either it starts rotating or it starts rounding corners. But simply moving an object from one place to another where I can see the entire workspace is currently almost impossible.

Like this feature, but, I frequently need to work with other shapes that need to say keep the top or the side and have the rest of the body extend (not just the corners).  Could you create a SIMILAR TOOL, that you could keep certain zones like Top half, right half, bottom half, left half? This would let me use more of your templates for my work. 

Hey, hoping someone might have some insight here.Illustrator crashed on me while working on an untitled file (yes, I know, lesson learned). When I reopened, the recovery dialog popped up showing two files — one saved file and my untitled one. It went through the progress bar like it was recovering both, but then only opened the saved file. The untitled one just... vanished. No error, nothing. Turns out Illustrator deleted the recovery data after "processing" it.Luckily I have CrashPlan running, so I managed to grab the .aid file before it got wiped. It's 4MB and definitely has data in it — I can see the "AI Crash Recovery Data" header and document metadata when I look at it. I've tried the enableContentRecovery preference trick, tried making the file read-only (which stops the deletion but Illustrator just ignores the file), and even tried an updated version of Illustrator. NO sé qué esta pasando con Illustrator en su versión 30.0, pero es una locura la cantidad de memoria que esta utilizando. Tengo un archivo de Branding con puros vectores simples, literalmente pesa 100 mb, pero de alguna forma utiliza 20 gb de RAM. Tengo una Macbook Pro con 36 gb de RAM y la computadora a penas puede con el programa. Alguien tiene el mismo problema?

Messieurs dames, bonjourJe suis en train de me former à Illustrator, en m'entraînant sur une décoration de casque. Présentement, je suis embêté par un petit élément : j'aimerais faire un dégradé du rouge vers le noir sur un motif. Sauf que je n'arrive pas à le faire sans qu'il n'y ait cette partie grise que je trouve très peu esthétique, comme je vous le montre sur cette capture d'écranJ'en viens à votre aide pour savoir comment arriver à faire un dégradé où le rouge se fondrait dans le noir, pour en arriver à un résulat similaire à celui-ci, sans interstice gris. Some Illustratrator files are rendered with a very small thumbnails in Bridge with only ~30 x ~20 ... how can I change this in Illustrator?

Normally we save the AI then Export to svg then close  AI. Now when closing AI it asks to save unsaved changes even though there aren't any changes as all we have done since we last saved it is to Export it. This message is misleading because before it was a good reminder that we had not have saved what we had changed before we did the Export, but now it's totally misleading as it does it even when we did save it just before the Export. Is anyone else finding this new warning misleading?

I want to be able to continue moving guide lines in Standard mode without having to unlock them every time. I lock guide lines when I want them to be fixed. However, this is not the case when drawing for the first time. I couldn't find anything about this in the preferences.
