I work on an iPad 8th generation with a Logitech Crayon. Palm rejection works fine in other apps like Notes and Sketchbook, so this is not a hardware issue. In Illustrator for iPad, palm rejection fails. When I rest my hand on the screen while drawing, it is recognized as input and creates unwanted lines. This makes normal drawing very difficult.The color picker also often breaks and returns pure black instead of the selected color. Restarting Illustrator fixes it only temporarily; the issue comes back shortly after. Has anyone else experienced these issues (palm rejection not working / color picker turning black)? How did you solve it?

I am having trouble in opening files created or edited in other computers, it doesn't open with images that my cooworkers have linked. In the computer they created the file it opnes junt fine, but in other ones, the missing link message appears. We always save the images and the file in the shared disk.If anyone knows why this is happening, it will help a lot, as we lose a lot of time relinking all images.{Renamed by MOD}

My illustrator became wonky with my text box bounding box. For instance, when I hover the cursor with selection V, there are no longer options to resize or rotate the bounding box of a text box. As well, the options to click back and forth between point and area text are no longer there. Another weird effect is the only way to change the size of the text box is by selecting anchor points individually. Other pieces of the puzzle: I've restarted illustrator a few times + restarted my computer and it's still happening. It happens in existing saved files as well as creating new ones.  Attached screenshots. Hoping I may have something checked accidentally...

Hi everyone, I’m working with very large artwork (around 50,000 px wide) in Illustrator. When I export to SVG, Illustrator automatically scales down the viewBox (for example, from width="51530" height="7355" to viewBox="0 0 5153 735.5"). This changes the XY coordinates in the SVG, but I need the original artboard dimensions and absolute XY coordinates preserved. Is there a way to export SVG from Illustrator without this automatic scaling, or is this a limitation of Illustrator? Thanks!

I’m working with a script in Adobe Illustrator to import CSV files and assign their values to variables in a document. I have been working on a figure for a paper, and I am now having a peculiar issue with one of my pasted images. I had been able to click on the image to select it; however, once I resized it, I could no longer select it, unless I selected the corner of the bounding box. The other images can still be selected and moved, but the one image cannot be moved or selected anymore. Any suggestions?Thanks!

For some reason the knife tool will not work when I create a shape, no matter how I create it, I can create an ellipse or a rectangle and it still won't cut.Has anyone else had this issue?

So I've been using Illustrator for over 22 years now, and only remember having this issue once before.I've checked the forums, Google, and I found one person with this issue 5 years ago, but there was no solution found. I haven't been able to find someone with this exact issue yet. So either I'm searching for the wrong thing, or?So I'm trying to select an object, and no matter what, Illustrator will select an object behind it unless I'm zoomed in very close to said object, for example:     I'm trying to select that shape inside the red circle, (that grey shape with a black outline). And no matter where I click on the outline or the shape directly... it selects the complex pattern behind it (which is actually multiple shapes behind it) So no matter where I click on that grey shape, it tries to select the pattern below it.All objects are unlocked, on the same layer, and in the same group.It doesn't just do it for the pattern, it does it with a ton of other objects too. We have legally bought the font Skolar Sans Arabic, how ever it doesnt propely work on the files, every time i open the files the text in the mentioned font appears corrupt, i have attached a screen shot of the case.Earlier we have frankly and temporarily fixed the problem by removing (uninstalling) skolar sans arabic, and surprisingly it continued showing and properly working on the files, and accordingly i have completed a huge number of files for the project this way.lately last week after IT team have installed the adobe 2023 and the skolar fonts on my computer, things got all messed up again, and trying to go back to the old way of removing the font and using illustrator 2025 also didnt work.I am currently stuck, i can't work on any of the alreday done files neither proceed and start with new files.Please help with that issue.

Hi. Over the last several days I've been working on some illustrations and both files have disappeared for no reason. I'm working on a 2020 M1 Macbook Pro - 13-inch, with the touchbar (if that makes a difference). TLDR: I've lost two .ai files (over 10 hours of work) which I'm sure I saved. I looked in every conceivable place they could have gone, including the trash bin and a full system search, combing through all .ai files on my machine. One disappeared within 20 minutes of saving the file. The next one disappeared (after saving) when I restarted my mac (in an effort to get the first file back) without actually closing the Illustrator project.  THE DETAILS: Things I'm Sure OfThe files were saved before I closed Illustrator.There was nothing unusual about the files. I did not use any third-party plugins that might have messed with them. All shapes and elements in the file were created inside Illustrator except the JPEG I used to trace some elements.&nbsp

Hi there, I'm not getting any answers when I searched the community post here. So, am creating a new post.I'm not able to open my illustrator program even though its been updated to the latest version. So, I tried to unistall using both on my windows control panel and also the via the creative cloud desktop app. It failed. It kept showing that there is a conflict in uninstalling the program. Why is illustrator always having some kind of issues? Using Illustrator 25.3.1 on MacOS Big Sur 11.4. I am placing linked PNG illustrations on an artboard. At first, I can click anywhere on the PNG image to select or drag it . After some time the image will only be selectable by clicking on the border. I haven't been able to pinpoint a particular cause for the change, but it makes moving the placed PNG very difficult. I generally have to switch to outline mode to find the border. I've attached a screen recording of this anomoly. 

Hello everyone,I have a problem with saving. When I have created a new logo and then want to save it, it works as usual. If I need a new folder and then create it during the saving process, Illustrator hangs or aborts and then closes. If I'm lucky, the new file will still be there when I open it again.Does anyone else experience this or what can be done about it? Reusing an older version has not helped. The same error happened here.Kind regardsflunny 

I have samsung laptop. I can use blender, fusion 360 etc. It does support it, but Illustrator doesn't. My computer is 14 years old and in good condition, albeit slow. I want to design, but your program doesn't support Win 8.1. You could at least release older versions as an alternative. We don't have the money to buy a new PC. But I think you should consider your customers' requests. 😞

I am working on Windows 11, latest version of  Creative Clod and now and then my AI has a weird bug - the text I type and copy paste changes letters to some random ones, like some sort of offset or so. But I have not applied anyeffects to the text. Restarting Illustrator helps, but this is very irritating, how do I prevernt it from happening?

Hi please help.I guess my question may be, can you use the same adobe license in 2 different user accounts for Windows 10?I have created a second windows user account. I can use my adobe services without any issue in the original user account. There is a google drive for pc connected to that user account already, but I have a different google drive that I want to access. I cannot figure out how to connect 2 g drives to the one user account although every google search says you can do it, so I created a new windows user account. I set that account up using the email address relative to the google drive I want to connect. All was good until I opened up illustrator and saw my creative cloud folder was empty. I hit the blue icon and was taken to the account page, which was the correct adobe account. I could see my files, however I could not open them in illustrator in the new windows user account I created.  I was able to create a document in that illustrator, and save it. So wha

It takes too long for me to copy and paste objects in Illustrator. and not in all files, but some specific files are revealed; there is too much time spent copying and pasting, and there is one problem displayed when I open the file. Hi I'm trying to prepare my plug-in to support Illustrator 2022.For that, I use the SDK CC 2022 When I'm using the plug-in EmptyPanel provided in the examples, this plug-in is correctly loaded in Illustrator.But when I'm adding  Qt 6.2 with only QtCore and make a simple qDebug() << "Hello World", it fails to load it. It displays a message into Illustrator that there is an error when loading the plug-in.In the console, it complains that it cannot find QtCore, but I have correctly copy it into Frameworks folder of the plug-in. I even copy it into the MacOS folder. I have also checked the install name.It is also correct @rpath/QtCore.framework/Versions/A/QtCore I have also added in the Info.pList the following entry to authorize loading external libraries <key>com.apple.security.cs.disable-library-validation</key><true/> What am I missing ? Is there any additional requirements about loading external libraries ?

I design motifs for a computerized quilting machine. These are all line oriented (no fills or fancy work). In the process I use a lot of guides lines to align elements of the design. I also use many layers for various parts of a design. Some of these layers are strictly for guide lines and titled "Guides". These guide layers can be moved (or used to be able to be moved) to be under my drawing lines and very convenient for drafting the design. Sept. 11, 2025, I updated Illustrator. ALL my guides (no matter where I drag the guide layer are on top of my drawn line. This is very distracting and really complicates the design process. I need to know if this is how any guide lines will now be oriented or if this is a bug. Is this related to "snapping" updates that came with the recent program changes.  Is there a way to get back the ability to develop guide layers so they can be dragged below my drawing lines? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I have a number of folders in my Library which appear to be related to older versions of Illustrator and Photoshop. An example would be named Adone Illustrator 25 or Photoshop 2021.Can these folders be trashed?

This is my 2:nd test on this subject, I think the Ipad app was a lot better at Sketch2Vector than the Redirecting Creative Cloud way on my computor (with the latest version of Illustrator on it).  The left side of the uploaded image was in color but by pressing "Apply" it was lost.. this did not happen on the Ipad version.  Let´s see if there are other ways. New user.  Prefer to have a manual/PDF to download and print/read instead of online videos.  We purchased Adobe Illustrator and run Windows.  Not even sure what or where to even start.  Any feedback appreciated.
