Problem:In Illustrator, the logo appears with a white background.When exporting to a PNG with transparency, the white background disappears and only the colored logo remains.In PDF, the white appears normally.You want the white to remain visible in the PNG, but it becomes transparent.

This has been a known issue for at least three years.I swear you guys seem to change the things that no one cares about (rearanging the tools pallets for the umpteenth time)  but you won't fix any actual bugs?If I didn't need your products for work I would happily drop them.  Fix your bugs.

For some reason I can only select small images by grabbing the edge of the image. At large scale i'm able to select the image both by hovering the image and the edge of the image. But as soon as the image is scaled down, The selection won't grab the image until i hover it's edges. Any idea how to fix it?

Hey, so i got a problem. Few days ago i accidentally pressed some keyboard shortcut and i dont know which, and it made everything pixelated (as shown on picture), before i pressed the unknown shortcut, everything was smooth. Please help, i would appreaciate if somebody knew the shortcut or setting. Thanks to everyone who will help in some way.     {Reanmed by MOD}

An issue selecting a printer PPD in Illustrator is preventing PostScript printing. The printer is a Ricoh IM C4500 with PostScript Level 3 RIP built-in. macOS Monterey with Ricoh drivers install and print correctly except from within Illustrator (26.0.1).PPD is not selectable and Print as Bitmap is selected and deselecting does not change the setting.Choosing Adobe PostScript file activates the PPDIllustrator is not seeing the Ricoh as a PostScript printer and I haven't figured out a workaround.I know this is most likely a Ricoh/Monterey issue but I appreciate any suggestions.

I've been working on a file that seems to not let me put the pen tool where I want it to. It's not a really small file so I don't understand why it's doing it. I've looked at most of the settings but can't figure it out. I need to be able to draw a landscape and van that are technically correct, but every time I try to place the pen tool where I want it, it won't place it in the spot I click. 

Hi all, I have a text glitching issue that has been occuring recently.It has happened multiple times, on my home and work computer, on different documents, with different typefaces/fonts. Say I have a textbox with text, I highlight one line of text - for example, the first line of text, to apply some changes to font weight for a subheading perhaps... The change may be applied okay, but the NEXT line of text, NOT highlighted, turns into a mess of symbols/glyphs, with negative tracking applied so the characters overlap. NOTE It is not an issue with me selecting incorrectly due to a baseline shift, the entire document may have no baseline shift applied. No matter what I do, I cannot stop this occurring once this 'glitch' kicks in. Hi everyone,I’m running into a frustrating issue in Adobe Illustrator and wanted to see if others have found a workaround.Previously, when relinking missing images, Illustrator had a checkbox that allowed it to automatically detect and relink all missing files from the same folder, based on matching filenames. That checkbox seems to be gone in my current version, V29.4, and now I’m forced to relink each image manually, one by one.Here’s what I’ve tried:Placing all missing images in the same folder as the AI file (or in a “Links” folder).Using the regular “Relink” dialog, hoping it would detect the rest automatically.Searching for preferences or settings that might restore the old behavior.No luck so far.Has anyone found a way to batch relink missing images from the same folder without that checkbox?Bonus points if you’ve used scripting or automation to solve this. I’m also open to technical solutions.

Is anyone having any problems using the 3D tool in illustrator?The perspective is almost in reverse. Not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I have never experienced this before.

I'm having an issue where a black background prints and shows up in a PDF of a file where there is no black background. Also, when I opened an SVG file created by someone else, a black background appeared where there shouldn't be one. I'm including screenshots of the illustrator file  (no background) and the PDF (black background). Any ideas?

The jpg image is rasterized and in its own layer. I can rotate it, shear it, transform it... But the perspective warp will NOT apply! What am I missing? Using current Adobe Illustrator 2020

I used to be a heavy Iluustrator user but haven't touched the program for about 20 years. I'm trying to draw over a map with the pen tool. When I last did this I created a new layer for each segment but now it looks like it wants me to create a new path. I'm sure this is a much more efficient way of doing things but I'm a bit lost, can anyone point this Illustrtor oldie/newbie to to turorial on this? Basically I want to draw lots of paths and be able to independently style them.

I’m trying to figure out how to make the text transparent on the design behind, like a cutout. Is there a way to do that?

Anyone know why my Ai file show up this?? i saved this 2 days ago, but today i opened it show this to me, i did not deleted my file but whyy. Is there any solution ??? 

I don't actually know for sure if these are smart guides or some other type of guide, but after the most recent update, this cross-hair started showing up over my cursor when the rectangle tool is selected:I always use only grid for snapping and have toggled Smart Guides on/off, restarted the program, looking around in preferences, etc. But I can't figure out what setting this cross-hair actually is, if it isn't a Smart Guide. I've never seen it before and it's extremely distracting. It shows up in every workspace and every document now.

Surprised this software still doesn't have a simple toggle arrow button in it's Transform menus.Like, swiping values between the Horizontal and Vertical planes with the Move tool.Seems like an easy addition!

Tengo un inconveniente con la presión en ilustrator y mi Wacom, no funciona, realice pruebas en Photoshop y si funciona la presión, no se a quien corresponde el problema si Wacom o adobe.Mi sistema operativo es Mac os x Catalina 10.15.7.Versión de ilustrator 2021 (25.4.1).Versión driver Wacom 6.3.44-1.Aclaro que en las configuraciones de ilustrator, en el apartado de dispositivos si está activado la tableta Wacom. Quedo a la espera de sus comentarios, gracias.

Hello.Mac Studio 2022; Chip Apple M1 Max; Memory 64 GB; macOS Sequoia 15.6.1AI 29.81.I have two problems: 1. When opening certain files, Illustrator crashes on startup. These files were created this year, they have a last modified date in january/february. I updated, tried GPU Performance both on and off, reset preferences, enabled content recovery with no avail.I tried opening them on another machine and same behaviour. They worked for sure in February of this year.UPDATE: I downgraded to 29.6 and now it works.Maybe this needs to be addressed in v 29,61; 29,71; 29,8; 29,81 !2. In some other files that actually do manage to open, text boxes seem blank (video attached).They are there and full of text, if I copy and paste into new textboxes the text magically appears, but then sometimes it goes away again. Hello, I've ran into problem with bounding box, which doesn't match with the edge of a shape, as you can see in a screenshot nr 1.  It causes an unsatisfactory result after exporting selection in PNG format.Where can be the problem and how to fix it?
