Hello Adobe Support, I’m using a Canon 5D Mark IV and I usually shoot in JPG. I’ve noticed that when I import my JPG files into Lightroom Classic, the colors appear noticeably different from what I see on the camera’s LCD or when viewing the image in other basic image viewers. The color looks flatter, less saturated, and not as true to what was captured in-camera. I understand that RAW files often lose the in-camera Picture Style when opened in Lightroom, but in this case, I’m working with JPG files, which should already be processed by the camera. Is there a way to preserve the exact color and tonal look of my original JPGs when importing them into Lightroom, without any changes to the appearance? I’ve tried checking the profile in the Develop module, and Lightroom applies “Adobe Color” by default. Changing the profile helps a bit, but it still doesn’t match the original JPG appearance from the camera. Is there any way to import JPGs into Lightroom without Lig
Lightroom 14.5.1.1 won't open for me on Windows 11. When I click the icon, it opens an invisible window named "mainwindowview" in the task switcher. Task manager also shows the programme as running, but it is not visible and does not show as open in the taskbar. Steps already tried:Completing all Windows updatesUpdating graphics card driverUninstall & reinstall Lightroom ClassicReinstalling & repairing all C++ add insPlease can anyone advise any other remedies. Thank you
I'm shooting with the Canon R5, and the RF 16-28mm f/2.8 IS STM, and I'm struggling with the Lens Profile that Lightroom Classic this lens. Is anyone else finding this profile to be awful? As with a number of Canon's RF lenses, this lens required significant software corrections to be made to the Raw files. Particularly at 16mm, there is heavy distortion and vignetting. Adobe's profile for this lens, however, introduces its own issues. The default vignetting corrections result in bizarrely overly brightened corners. Shooting a scene with a clear blue sky, all around the image periphery there is a glow caused by this over-correction. Using the slider in the Lens Profile tab to reduce the vignetting correction only helps to reveal another problem: that the vignette on this lens is non-linear (the extreme corners are very dark, then there is a rapid improvement, before a gradual further reduction in shading as you move towards the centre of the frame. But Adobe's profile seems to be linear
I just updated the newest Lightroom pocess, which automatically updated my catalog (which is pretty large). Now, all of my images appear in washed out thumbnails. In Library, they look like that constantly, but the correct, edited images show in the Develop module. When I export an image, Windows opens it in the flat, washed out images. Can anyone help? I have almost 50,000 images that I need. Thanks
I have a massive catalog of over 100k images. Most are on an external drive while my current work is on my laptop.I have tried to split the archive off by using Export Folder, but it wants me to select a destination & I don’t need to move all those TB of files because I’m happy where they are.I could export the current files to a new catalog, but, of course, same thing.I have had a couple of instances where the catalog has become corrupted. Lightroom fixed it, but it is both worrisome & time consuming. How can I split a catalog into 2 with selected folders in each without moving the actual files?
I’m a nature photographer and until now I’ve been shooting in JPEG, but I’ve recently switched to C-RAW. I want to upload my photos to Instagram in the same size and quality, but no matter what export settings I use, the image never looks like the original. The only time it looks right is when I set the image dimensions to small in Lightroom, but that changes the size of the crop, which I don’t want.I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.
My entire photo catalog from Lighroom is missing. Thousands of photos.
Using Windows 11 and Lightroom Classic 15.1.1 I’ve had success deleting the Lcat files, but having to do that everytime is becoming a pain. I have also tried resetting preferences while launching Lightroom CC which doesn’t do anything in my scenario.
ok so i never realized on my computer that lightroom classic was saving all my raw files to my computer, so yesterday it ran out of storage. i looked on google countless times before asking chatgpt if there was a way to fix the issue. long story short it told me it was safe to delete my mobile downloads.lrdata file, but it deleted all the raw files on lightroom classic. i’ve gotten it to redownload/ sync about 2000 pics, but i don’t edit on lightroom mobile that’s my big issue, i only import. is there a way to get all of my raw files back onto lightroom classic until i can move them to a hard drive. mind you i had about 25000 saved… so this is a nightmare
The only altered attribute was "Temp / Tint". The problem was resolved by unselecting the photos and then reselecting the same photos. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
I am having so many syncing issues, and am hoping someone here can help me figure out the issue. I recently moved about 200K of my 250K photos to a new hard drive, and relinked all of them in LrC. There were no issues with relinking, and there are zero missing photos. Every photo has a smart preview and its original. However, when I add these already imported photos to a new or current collection, they will not sync. In the upper right corner, it says all photos are ‘Synced’. But when I go to the Sync Activity window, it shows thousands of photos ‘Uploading’ in the window. I’ve tried rebuilding the sync data several times and let it run over night. I’ve also tried deleting the Sync.lrdata file and letting it resync. I’ve also optimized my catalog, and tested the integrity. Nothing is working. These photos I am trying to sync appear in the All synced Photographs section, but will not sync when added to a new collection. If I import new photos to my library and add those to a collectio
Hey everyone, I just got a drone - a mavic 4 pro - and some of the files are a little noisy, so I tried to clean them up just like I do with all my Z7 pictures. Unfortunately it looks like those files are not supported yet (maybe because the drone is rather new ?). When applying denoise, the ISO noise becomes considerably worse instead of disappearing. And the further right you move the slider (more denoise amount), the worse it gets as well. Here are picture examples (this is on 100mpx main camera 28mm files, not 25mpx ones - so maybe the quad bayer has some impact here ?) : Is this a known bug ? Is it gonna be fixed anytime soon - and did anyone else encounter it ? Best, Greg
I installed the latest update a few days ago. This is for Lightroom Classic 15. Ever since that time, when I try to read metadata from files, it never completes. I can highlight 5 images at a time and successfully get it to complete, but if over 6 images, it starts and never completes.
I added a lot of metadata to files in LR. I had intended to start the year using this before Bridge. So I was going to then save the metadata to files, so that I would have it in Bridge. I got a warning that it would overwrite and data there. In the 1st folder I went ahead but in the 2nd I realized that I had already cropped a whole lot in Bridge and this would likely overwrite that work. I tested on a couple and they did lose the crop. I didn’t want to overwrite and lose all the crops. So then I had to re-add all the metadata again (such as location, keywords, descriptions, etc) in Bridge. Should I now re-import them back into LR to get the crops and metadata added in Bridge?
Hi All,In LR5 I have added keywords to photos as well as videos. In Windows Explorer detail view I can select “Tags” as a column and see and search on the keywords for image files. But this does not seem to work for video.(I can search videos via keywords inside LR5.)Is it a limitation of some kind? Or is there something I’m missing?Thank you for any suggestions.
In Lightroom Classic, I held down ctrl key while trying to drag sliders with the mouse. The sliders either did not move or would move one number in a direction one time. I did this because I forgot that alt, not ctrl, performed the function I wanted. What does holding down ctrl while clicking sliders with the mouse do? Did I mess anything up in Lightroom Classic or my database by doing this? I cannot find any information about this. Thanks.

I’m writing a Lightroom Classic plugin with lua, which generally works quite well. However, I have an issue with a very fundamental thing:Displaying an error dialog that simply has a single close button. No matter what I try, at least on my Mac I always get an OK and Cancel button. What am I doing wrong?LrDialogs.presentModalDialog{ title = Global.moduleName, contents = myContent}Thanks Klaus
I'm using LrC 13.2 and Win 11. The camera is an OM System OM-1 producing .ORF raw files. When shooting raw+jpeg or a separate raw and jpeg of the same scene and settings, then importing directly into LrC, the raw is rendered quite a bit more saturated than the jpeg, particularly in the greens. They should be about the same. I've used the camera matching profile "Camera Natural".When doing the same exercise in OM Workspace, output derived from both the raw and the jpeg, are almost indistinguishable. Another poster on Digital Photographic Review, has independently noticed the same issue.Below are two images to demonstrate. The one the left is derived from the jpeg, the one on the right from the ORF. Both are from a single shot as a raw+jpeg. I can offer them in higher resolution but I suggest you borrow and OM-1 and try the exercise yourself yourself.

New to LR and trying to learn and don’t understand why I am getting a page like this. Can’t do anything. Images all overlapping.
I wrote a free browser userscript that automatically expands nested replies, expands the input box of new replies to fill the window, changes the initial reply ordering to oldest first, and shows up to 30 top-level replies at once. See here for details:
