This has happened before - I open Photoshop and I get the error message that PS couldn’t load the actions and then they are now gone.  Please tell me there is a way of recovering these.  I generally back them up every month or so, but I had just created a couple of new actions last week and I haven’t backed those up.(I am so sick and tired of this program glitching and either dumping the actions or dumping my keyboard shortcuts that I have set.  I have saved my custom workspace before and EVEN THAT is getting dumped at random, for no reason.)

On moving onto the AI assisted in Photoshop I keep getting the attached message..After closing Photoshop and then re-opening things are ok and the image opens. Does anyone know what the message means? It means nothing to me.

We use a lot of action sets for work and I need to move them between computers. Previously, when i would record a script or a Guide Layout in a PS action, as long as i put them in /Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2026/Presets/Guides, they would only display the name and not the exact path. This meant when I updated PS versions, the guides and scripts would relink seamlessly. This is no longer the case. Now my options are to re-record opening the script, load the preset, make one small change, then change it back, then press OK. This records the values but i lose the visual name of the custom guide showing in my action set. ALTERNATIVELY, i have to re-record the guide to the newest version location (which means i’d have to do that each time i update). Storing the guides outside of that location opens up a can of worms for when i move these action sets to another computer. Anyone have tips? Is this a bug? 

Photoshop stopped working . I have updated to v27.11. Photoshops starts opening and then disappears with an error message that flashed and disapears. It is clear  from Adobe users that this is a general problem. PLease fix it.

I own PS 4 & PS 5 - I can’t get PS 4 to work photomerge so I tired PS5 Well the swell guys at adobe, say I can’t use PS5 (THAT I BOUGHT AT FULL RETAIL) because it’s been activated too many times and that I have to go on the old PC and de-acitivate it...Well guess what? I CAN’T THE PC’S ARE LONG GONE!!! NO WAY TO TURN ON A MACHINE THAT’S EITHER BEEN PARTED OUT OUT THROWN AWAY!!!!!! I HATE HAVING ACCOUNTS!! I HAD TO CREATE THIS ONE TO ASK THIS STUPID QUESTION!!!I AM NOT ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND HAVE NO INTEREST IN ANYTHING ADOBE HAS NEW!! I AM NOT PAYING FOR A SUBSCRIPTION TO USE SOMETHING I CAN GET BY WITH AN OLDER VERSION THAT I PAID FOR!!!! How do I get around this to use the software I paid for!?!?!?!?! Thanks ARRGHHH I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!

I’m trying to use File → Export → Export As… to batch-export multiple files in WebP format. In Photoshop version 27.2.0, the format dropdown only shows PNG, JPG, and GIF. How can I enable WebP as an export option without having to add a script?Here is what I see:  

When I make a selection and choose “remove” Photoshop takes a long time to consider and then informs me I need to check my internet connection. My computer (Mac M4 Max) is up to date and has sufficient RAM and I have strong stable internet connection. This problem seems to be pretty persistent. Other AI options seem to be working but remove isn’t.

Hi all,I recently the blue screen of death on my computer. Thought that i created a restore point the day before installing CS6, but nothing was found..  I guess, i’m wondering if i’m down to 1 computer that i can use now? No way to remotely remove dead computers? Nothing shows up in my active devices in my account. If i am sol.. This sucks. We paid a lot of money for our copies of CS, that are legit and not pirated. Yet we can’t install it locally or remove devices that we can’t physically deactivate them on? I could go on this rant for days, if i understand correctly that you get 2 devices and then your key is no longer good, and you have no ability to remove dead computers.. I own my copy, at the same time i don’t own my copy? wtf??… -_-;; Anyway, any clear answer on if i’m sol on that device would be helpful, or if there’s a way to activate the full version locally since it pushes you to login after typing in the key.

Photoshop cannot open TIFFs without crashing — this needs engineering attentionEvery TIFF I have tested opens in Camera Raw—even with TIFF handling disabled—and Photoshop crashes when I choose Open, Done, or Cancel. This affects both regular Photoshop and Photoshop Beta on my machine.My configuration: Photoshop 27.10.0; Camera Raw 18.7, build 2743 MacBook Pro, Apple M1, 16 GB memory macOS 15.7.5 My processor, memory, and operating system meet Adobe’s published Camera Raw requirements.  Since updating to version 27.6.0, the "Quit" shortcut has been grayed out, and the program cannot be closed "manually" either. I have to "force quit" it completely. Is this a new feature?  

This behavior is EXTREMELY annoying and is one of the reasons I use Affinity Photo application instead of Photoshop.  There is absolutely NOT reason to keep a file lock on a file that I have closed from Photoshop.  When I close a file, the file lock should be released, not doing so if violating Microsoft best practices. Don't even start to suggest this is for "better performance" due to poor coding ethics/techniques. The ONLY way to release the lock on the file is to exit Photoshop complete and wait about 2-5 minutes for it to release the lock.  This IS NOT acceptable and violates just about every coding best pratices that exists over the past 40 years (I'm a senior software engineer, so I do know coding best practices).

For about 4 months now, I intermittently receive a program error when trying to crop an image imported from ACR.I’ve reinstalled PS, updated Windows and NVidia graphics software, reset the Crop Tool, and unchecked the Graphics Processor option in Preferences...nothing has fixed the problem.It doesn’t appear to be related to AI enhanced images as my files have had only exposure corrections and come as files directly from Adobe Camera Raw. It has become more frequent, and I’m currently unable to crop any image without an error code which renders the images blank upon saving.Please fix this or advise a solution. Photoshop is becoming completely unusable at this point.

Photoshop v 27.11 and Beta - pen pressure now only works with use windows ink enabled in wacom tablet with or without PSUserConfig file

Is there a way to hide and unhide the Contextual Tool Bar with a simple keyboard shortcut? I need to always quickly open and close the tool bar.

This happens everytime. Restart and it keeps doing it. 

I had Photoshop 26, Premiere 26, and InDesign 26 all installed and running fine on my MacBook Pro (not sure of the exact build numbers, but they should have been the most recent.) Yet, for some reason the Creative Cloud app was acting as if they were not installed. They were not included in “Installed on this machine” under and they would not auto-update or even give me the option to update manually.I waited weeks hoping it would resolve itself, and then finally just caved and installed the latest versions manually. To do this I had to click “Install” down under “Featured apps in your plan” instead of the usual “Update” towards the top.But now, all my presets, preferences, plugins, actions, workspaces, shortcuts, etc. from my previous versions are COMPLETELY gone. And there's only one settings folder and one application folder for the “26” version of each app, so it’s not like I can even access the previous files to migrate manually.And yes, I’ve always had “Import previous settings an

Hi all,I have been using Photoshop and Camera Raw for fairly basic photo editing on a MacBook Air for a number of years. Sharpening image and Denoise function are two frequently used features. In the past couple of months, the denoise has stopped working. I have tried updating the operating system, Photoshop and Camera Raw, but no luck.In settings of Photoshop, my GPU (M1) appears to be compatible and although old, my Mac seems to meet the basic requirements for Photoshop. As of 1:00 PM PST today. Topaz Gigapixel for Generative Upscale giving an error message: "We have encountered an issue and cannot complete your request at this time. Please try again.  I'm running lattest version of PS 2026 27.1.0. I've tried signing out of Cretive Cloud signing back in, restarting both PS and my computer, also cleared using Edit-Purge-Clear All Cache. I only get this error message when trying to use the new "Topaz Gigapixel" upscaling. This feature was working just fine earlier today. I can still use the "Firefly Upscaler" at both 2x and 4x. I'm testing this feature for my company and need to get this fixed asap. Any help fixing this asap would be much appricated.  

Hi,I’ve been having an issue in Photoshop where the adjustments tab periodically becomes greyed out, making it impossible to add an adjustment layer by clicking on the the appropriate type. Restarting Photoshop resolves the issue temporarily. I’ve tried a number of troubleshooting steps including trashing and rebuilding preferences and reinstalling the application but nothing has resolved it. Photoshop 27.5.0. MacBook Pro M3, MacOS 26.4.1. Any help to resolve this would be much appreciated. 

I tried 'Generative upscale' which is a third party feature. Firstly, it didn’t work at all. Secondly, it broke Photoshop, which now crashes on creating a new file. No choice but to uninstall, reinstall, and never use this feature again - at least, until it's been integrated as a safe Adobe feature and not this third party trash. For the record, generative upscale would be extremely useful if it worked!
