Hi everyone,I've been working on larger Photoshop projects recently, and I've noticed that once a file grows to dozens, or even hundreds, of layers, keeping everything organized becomes almost as challenging as the editing itself.Everyone seems to have a different workflow, so I'm curious how experienced Photoshop users handle it.Do you rely on:Layer groups and color labels? Smart Objects? Naming every layer? Layer Comps? Libraries? Keyboard shortcuts for navigation?Or is there another habit that's made a noticeable difference in your workflow?I'm interested in approaches that make projects easier to revisit weeks or even months later, especially when collaborating with others or making revisions.I'd love to hear what works best for you and whether there's a tip you wish you'd adopted much earlier.Thanks in advance!

I’ve created a script that will create a layer group from a selected layer and the group will take on the name of the selected layer. Sharing here for anyone that can use it. When woke my imac this morning (OS 12.6.5) I found Photoshop uninstalled. I'm the only user and my bill is all paid up. My other Adobe software remains intact. It just wasn't there!I went to the CC home page and it said my other apps were up to date and that I could install PS, as though I never had before. So I did, no problem installing.   HOWEVER, 20 years worth of presets, brushes, macros and actions are all gone. That was a LOT of usability/productivity to have taken away without warning. Is there an easy retreival? What gives?

This is a followon from my original post a few years ago: https://community.adobe.com/questions-712/c2paws-files-now-being-created-with-every-document-saved-why-1165120The problem seemed to resolve itself about 24 months ago and since then, I’ve been free of this mess, but this week Photoshop updated to 27.8.0 and the .c2paws files have come back again. Every filetype I open now generates these files - tif, psd, png, jpg - you name it, they get created. Before the ‘AI’ bots reply and tell me it’s “content credentials” - no - it’s not. I turned this off three years ago and it’s been off ever since. I even toggled it back on and off today to see if that would cure it. It doesn’t. I’ve rebooted. I’ve re-installed PS 27.8.0 - nothing works. This is a plague on my machine now. I have hundreds of these files that have been created in the last few days without me noticing so now I’m having to once again run a cleanup script just to un-clutter all my project folders. 

I've been using Adobe for over 20 years, and I've encountered more issues in the past year than I did in the previous decade combined. I can’t be the only one feeling this.

Lens Blur option if Camera Raw filter is not working,  showing an error "Something is wrong.....etc" without any error code.

I have an OTF package of Helvetica Neue and I had installed it, but every time I opened a file which contained some text using Helvetica Neue, Photoshop or Illustrator displayed that "resolve fonts" screen. All files I downloaded including mockups, layouts, icons and others which were using HelveticaNeue, there wasn't a match with their "helveticaneue" and the one installed on my computer, and those Helvetica Neue variations are always the same.So, my question: Are there "standard" files for Helvetica Neue? Sounds like every designer in the world uses the same Helvetica Neue (a TTF version maybe) and I just can't find a file that matches the most used one. I downloaded Helvetica Neue from a lot of sources on the internet but they come different, then I have to see that annoying screen asking me to resolve fonts missing.If you, designers, use some common website to download fonts including the popstar Helvetica Neue, I really appreciate!!

I downloaded Helvetica Bold font from this site. In sqare bracket it says that [Free Sans Bold]. The name added to Ps is FreeSans . Is there any way change this name to Helvetica Bold in Ps? or How to handle this type of  situation?dafontfree  

Hallo, ich wollte in Photoshop einen Hund mit Hilfe des KI-Scharfzeichnen-Filter etwas verbessern. Habe den Hund mit dem Auswahlwerkzeug ausgewählt und den KI-Scharfzeichen-Filter angewandt. Der Hund wurde scharfgestellt, aber Photoshop hat das ganze Bild verzerrt bzw. eine dopplung des Bildes mit einer anderen Ausrichtung erstellt. Was mache ich falsch?Selbst wenn ich keine Auswahl treffe, macht er das. das Scharfstellen in Lightroom führt auch zu ganz kuriosen Verzerrungen. Selbst wenn ich das Bild von Photoshop in Luminar Neo übertrage um dort etwas zu bearbeiten, um es am Ende wieder in Photoshop zu bearbeiten, führt zu Verzerrungen. Das tritt seit gestern auf. Dabei habe ich nichts verstellt. HIer mal ein Beispielbild. Könnt Ihr helfen?Danke Euch  

1. I use Adobie Photoshop 2026, I renew it yesterday, but this bug was also present in previus version of Photoshop.2. Mac Sonoma 14.6.1. Hello,I am experiencing a serious issue in Photoshop that is making it almost impossible to work.While creating layouts with artboards, random ghost text/duplicated numbers start appearing all over the document.The text shows up on random layers and random places, even where no text layer exists.Once it starts, the file becomes unusable and the problem spreads to every new file I work on.Also can be opening random image/photo and it can have text from previous file where all over the image. What I observe:The duplicated text looks like fragments of existing text (prices, numbers, symbols)It appears across multiple artboardsIt is not linked to a specific layer it can appear on any other layers with image or with other layers with text.It cannot be selected or deletedSaving, reopening, or duplicating the file does not fix itIt visually “burns

What happened to Auto-select tool and Layers Panel?Many years when I select layer on canvas with Auto-select (ctr+mouse click) it also expanded Layers group on the Layers panel to reveal in which group is selected layer.For some time it has not been working anymore and is not revealing layer in Layers Panel!

Action now produces a bluish, washed-out image instead of improved tones. Worked recently but now fails. Photoshop 27.9.0 on M1 Ultra/macOS 26.5.2. First Action step alone causes issue. Manual Levels Auto corrects it. Auto Tone shows same fault. Tested PSD/PNG/JPG.

Using PS 2026 it will not open dng files. I have reinstalled both PS and dng converter, and cleared preferences for camera raw filter. Camera raw cannot be updated. Supposedly dng files,can be opened in PS 2026. HELP

my computer updated automatically to Photoshop 27.9 yesterday. Want to revert back to the previous software version. The 3 dots that are below the PS symbol to request to install an earlier version are no longer there. Any ideas what to do. Thank you 

Recently my windows machine updated, and now none of my PSD files have their corresponding file icon on the thumbnail. It will show the thumbnail just fine, but the file icon is missing. Other programs display their file icon just fine.An example of a PSD file present in the explorer, but missing its file icon in the thumbnail.An example of a different file type (.clip) that displays a thumbnail and file icon. I’ve told Windows to always open PSDs with Photoshop. I’ve also turned the option to display file icons off and on again.Would like any insight others have into fixing this. It’s not ideal to not know at a glance which files are PSDs, and I would prefer not to display file types in the name of files.

How do I get the ‘Open in Photoshop’ button back in Camera RAW?

Updated to v27.9 and now i can not resize my images within camera raw ( 18.4.1)I process in CR, from camera, and when i try to adjust the size, using the corner or middle adjuster,  it is not working. Working ok prior to update Any Ideas ? Thanks

I have a canvas 8000x11412 pixels the image is the same dimensions. When I go to print it doesn’t fit the paper. Which fwiw is A3+.  The printer settings say the correct document size and that output paper is the same. I have an earlier closely identical image which previews and prints fine. I think there is some hidden setting I have inadvertently set.This is a shot of the image When I go to print the preview just shows a small part of the image  

Hi Folks. I often need to design stickers and I'm finding that when I print them they are smaller than what I've actually created in photoshop. I will design the actual sticker/image and then drag it onto a blank A4 page where I size it (in cm's) and duplicate it if needed. However when I print it, even though A4 is selected in print options they always come out smaller. I usually get a prompt saying something along the lines of "image too large, resize to fit" or words to that affect.Is there something I need to be doing in print settings to ensure they print true to the size I've created. Any help in this matter greatly appreciated.

Not sure it's a bug, but there seems to be no way of deleting a stop in the vector shape gradient editor.(see screenshot)It’s also the same in the property panel The available actions are: click to highlight the stop or double click to open the colour picker, but the DEL key doesn’t delete the stop after being highlighted, and there’s nothing showing when right clicking on the stop.In fact, there’s no extra settings for position and delete like there is in the standard gradient editor. It lacks consistencyI resorted to create my gradient in the standard gradient editor, save it so I can use it in the fill and stroke settings. Photoshop version 27.8.0 on Windows 11

My PC lost power exactly as I was saving a large catalog. The file is 784 MB. I cannot open it in Photoshop, Photopea, or third-party repair tools.I verified with a hex editor that the 8BPS header and XMP metadata are intact, so it is not filled with zeroes. However, when I used ImageMagick to extract layer [0], it output a solid black PNG.Can anyone with advanced hex/scripting knowledge see if the individual layers are still recoverable?<Link redacted>

How can I remove this useless amoral garbage from my photoshop? I not only never asked for this, but specifically don’t want this. Feels *** to force install this wretchedness into all of your products and just say “deal with it.” My computer can’t handle this, and shouldn’t have to.
