New version of PS wont keep the layer mode drop down selected when i click it, I used to be able to cycle through the modes using the up down arrows, now i have to click each one and release to see it. I have the latest update to Photoshop, version 27.0.0 and I still do not have the Harmonize button on the contextual task bar. It's not in any menu. Where the heck did they HIDE it? When I open the CC Desktop App and view Updates, then click on "View More" beside Photoshop, it shows it to be in the update. Yet it IS NOT THERE...  I view youtube videos by Photoshop Cafe and Jesus Remirez and they are using the shipping version of Photoshop, one is using a Mac, the other is using Windows machine, and they both have the Harmonize button on the contextual task bar. WHY DO I NOT HAVE IT? I have the latest version and there are no more updates, I checked with the CC App for new updates, and there are none. You can see that it is not in the toolbar like it is supposed to be in the screenshot of a picture I'm working on of my great neice. None of the layers are smart objects. Why do I not have this feature? 

My computer crashed while I was working on Photoshop. When it restarted and I tried to open the file, I received this pop up message "Could not open "filename.psd" because of a program error." I checked the file's previous version but there was none. Please help me. 

Odd reults with group effects, I've done this a million times in the past. If i have a stroke on the layer then group it and add another the group sees it as a rectangle. This is odd, if i zoom out you no longer see it however whats very odd is that if i save it as a .png you can see the error? Ever since I updated to the latest version of photoshop, the select and mask tool is giving me weird results. It is recognizing the subject in the photo, but it is recognizing it in the wrong location. Its as if it is selecting where the subject was before the image was moved to a different spot on the canvas. Photos attached.

Hi. The below issue has been happening for a while. Yesterday for example, I freshly re-installed Windows 11 again along with my Adobe products and it happened on first try. In Photoshop, when using Filter --> Camera Raw Filter --> Presets,Photoshop will freeze or sometimes display an our of memory error.) Does not matter if I disable onboard GPU.I'm using studio driver. Game driver made no difference either.All drivers updated.

Lost my toolbar icons after last update, there are still 'markers' where the icon should be. Also lost control over the quick adjustment icons, but not the using the pop up icon under the layers panel

Over the years I have bought many PS actions and spent time creating my own. Now with v27 none of them work! Usually they fail on patterns. I know you'll say revert to an older version of PS but my question is why are you releasing a new version of PS which loses compatibility with commands in previous versions? The implications of this are massive going forward!!

It is no longer possible to open multiple print files (e.g. from an exhibition stand) in Photoshop afterwards to check whether the transitions are correct in the print files.How can it be that a basic function such as opening a PDF in Photoshop is no longer implemented correctly? Does Adobe actually test anything before releases?Environment: current Mac, Photoshop 2025 (not beta) PDF X-4:2008, i.e. a completely normal standard. I can open the file, but there are so many display errors that I cannot effectively check it. I understand that you also make simpler tools for online creators. But damn it, there are still people who have learned how to use it and who still work as generalists in these areas. So can you please stop constantly making your software worse?

My company designs and makes unique ceramic vessels for upscale interiors.  I have used Photoshop's ability to generate appropriate backgrounds of our work, but recently, the performance has become severely degraded.  I have tried all the approaches I can think of in the prompts, but nothing helps.  Why is the software getting worse rather than better over time?  Any suggestionss?  Three recent examples attached (there were about 15 more similar results all with either significantly varying or only modestly varying prompts.  Here's the prompt that produced "_2_attempt_a.pdf": "Place this 17" high ceramic vessel on a fine table in the lobby of an upscale country inn. Insure a perspective that does not require you changing the vessel".

Hola, quiero informar que en las últimas actualizaciones he tenido muchos problemas, la computadora se puso más lenta y algunas veces hago diseños y no quieren guardar, se queda pegado para guardar un archivo (Photoshop). Igual me pasa en InDesing, se tarda más de la cuenta para guardar archivos, que anteriormente he realizado otros más largos y pesados, pero no me pasaba antes.Espero que el problema con el rendimiento mejor en lo próximo. Hi everyone, this might sound a bit unusual, but I’m working on a research project where I need to measure the total area of two different gradient-like pigments on leaves using Photoshop. I’ve tried selecting color ranges, using in-image rulers, analyzing histograms, and other approaches, but I’m still unsure as to of how to get "good" measurments. I’ve attached an example to show what I mean by pigment differences, the green vs. purple areas are what I’m trying to measure. I would really appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to accurately quantify these areas.Thank you so much for your help!

UPDATE: INVALID BUG. The conclusion about periods in the directory names creates the trouble I have, seems to be wrong. There's still a problem with my setup, but it looks like I found a better workaround than clearing cache on every start of Bridge. See my comment. ORIGINAL POST: For years I have been swearing about having to press Ctrl-Alt-Shift every time I launched Bridge, because if I didn't choose to clear cache when launching Bridge, it would hang shortly after.I have tried doing a complete CC reinstall and many other experiments. Nothing solved the problem until I just got the idea of changing the name of my directories...I have had my images organized in subfolders under main-folders named "pictures.incoming" and "pictures.archive" (on a secondary drive - don't know if that also makes a difference). Es geht um den Tiefen und Lichter Filter. In meiner alten CS6-Photoshop-Version konnte ich beim Regler Schwarz beschneiden Zahlenwerte mit drei Kommastellen, z. B. 0,001 eingeben. In Photoshop 2026 nur ganze Zahlen, z.B. 1, 2 ... Das ist sehr schlecht. Was kann ich tun?

Hello, When i try to open a raw file from lightroom in photoshop, i keep getting this error message. Does anyone know what i can do to fix this?  

When applying a gradient fill, Photoshop doesn't show the result til I change the tool back to the arrow tool. Shouldn't it just show the result right away?

I have tried numerous times to install the new Nik 8 Collection to Photoshop but the tools simply do not appear under Filters as they should. I have uninstalled Nik 8 and tried reinstalling. I have uninstalled Photoshop and reinstalled. Both are the most current versions. But, no success. The Nik 8 collection tools work perfecetly in LIghtroom. I have checkled the file path to be sure Nik 8 is installed in the correct folder, and it is per DxO support team instructions. So, what am I missing?
