got blue screened while trying to export a jpg with minor adjustments from camera raw. event id 41, source kernel power. no idea why and idk if itll happen again but i  know wanna why and if theres anything i can do to stop it from happening again. my computers not the issue i have 16gb ram, a 4050 and an i7 and ive been using photoshop forever never had this problem but never used camera raw to edit a jpg tho so not sure if i did something wrong.

Hi Everyone! I recently built myself a PC, and plugged in my drawing tablet (Goamon PD1161) and I started to use Photoshop, but everytime I drew with it for some reason or another the pen would quickly drag up to the top left corner of the canvas and draw there. I wondered if this had happened to anyone else, or if it was an issue with my tablet? If anyone has any ideas that would be amazingly helpful, as I've tried to reinstall drivers, unplug and plug it in, refresh settings, and I truly don't know where to go from here. Thank you for your help 🙂

I've been noticing a small bug in Photoshop on Windows for quite some time. When I press Windows key + V to paste an image from the clipboard history, Photoshop sometimes pastes the wrong image—not the image I selected from the history, but the one before or after it. Whereas what I clicked should have been pasted... This happens in many versions of Photoshop and causes confusion. Please fix this issue in a future update.

Can I obtain the rendering box size and position of a text layer using UPX? By "rendering box," I mean the box that tightly surrounds the text (like the red box in the image). This concept is similar to "absoluteRenderBounds" in Figma. Hello, I was wonder what would cause the Pen Tool to default to the "Combine Shapes" option in the Path operation? Whenever I use my Pen Tool, I need to have it set at "Exclude Overlapping Shapes" but something is causing it to always set back at "Combine Shapes". I am operating on a Windows machine.

I'm sure this is very easy but as a new user I'm struggling to find how to do it. I want to draw a curved line using the curvature pen tool and add an arrowhead to one end. What is the best way?

I created a new Action called DB to just remove the background, merge to get a white background then save and get the pop up, which is not part of the planned action. All I want to do is save as a jpeg. See attached screen shot. Help please. Brian]

Hello,The line width tool can be decreased/increased with [ and ], but unlike the brush size, its value increases just by 1 pixel regardless of the current value. I wanted to write a function to decrease/increase depending on the current value just like the brush tool. Although I was able to read the current value, I found no way to change it programmatically.

Unfortunately, it's now June 2025 and this issue is still ongoing—at least for me and a few of my colleagues. I'm running Windows 11 (23H2) with Photoshop 26.8 (though the Beta version 26.9 has the same problem). I'm having to restart Photoshop multiple times per hour just to get Liquify to work again.I've already tried a fresh install of Windows on a brand-new Dell laptop (13th Gen i9, RTX 3500, 32GB RAM) with a clean install of Photoshop, but the error still appears after editing just a few images.Clearing the cache, changing scratch disks, and adjusting performance settings haven't made any difference either.Adobe, please help—this is seriously impacting our workflow.

I'm trying to reverse a path in Photoshop. So a simplied version is a two point path, in which a stroke fades along its length.  I want to reverse the direction - flipping the image will work, but only for this simple example. Not a long term solution. I know this can be done by taking said path into Illustrator and reversing Path Direction. I'm looking for a Photoshop only solution. I know about changing shapes from Combine Shapes to Subtract Front Shape. Hello - Why cant we have a larger area to edit out file names in? this hasnt changed since vs 2 of photoshop and it has always frustrated me. we have very long file names and it would be very very helpful to see the whle filename at once instead of having to scroll to the end to edit it or check it or change it! why do we only get a very small window to use when the whole area is free to use? This applies to all the Adobe products!

Hi everyone! I'm looking for the best way to batch export my photos in Photoshop for Instagram and websize, with as little quality loss as possible. Unfortunately, scripts makes the photos less sharp  (apparantly it's an old system) compared to manually exporting them. But that takes a lot of time when you have a lot of photos to export. I learned about the Image Processor Pro plugin for Bridge, originally made by Russell Brown. However, when you look it up, there's several websites that offer the plugin or something like it. The original website of Russell Brown looks a bit old, so I'm not sure if it contains the most recent update, as there's no dates attached. However, I do of course want to be sure that the site I download the plugin from, is safe. Can any of you help me out? Thanks in advance! Any other tips related to exporting workflow in PS would be greatly appreciated too! 🙂

When I'm using Photoshop, I'm typically on the clock, under the gun, and nicelely stressed to get the project in front of me done productively, and beautifully. Your app is a production tool. My time for wonder at new functionality passed about 25 years ago.  Why do you obsolete standard features and functionality? Like, the new Gradients tool works in profoundly different ways. After 20 minutes of horsing around online, I found the solution: toggle to Classic.  Meantime, I'm losing time, burning cash, wasting my client's resources.  When Boeing makes a fundamental change on one of their airliners, do they neglect to tell their pilots? Oh, wait. It just occurred to me: Photoshop 25: Welcome to the Boeing 767 MAX of graphics programs. 

Bei mir ist dasselbe Problem. Allerdings habe ich auf der Startvolume keine 800GB frei, sondern nur mehr ungefähr 100. Dafür habe ich ein externes Volume zusätzlich angegeben und insgesamt stehen an die 200 GB für temporäre Dateien zur Verfügung. Bei mir kommt die Meldung unmittelbar nach dem Start, wenn ich die ersten kleinen Aktionen durchführen möchte.    Das ganze PS Abo ist vollkommen sinnlos und ich muss wegen dieses Fehlers auf Alternativen umsteigen. Dafür brauche ich kein Abo.

Also, changing their "booleaning" options between "Combine Shapes" and the other options. Is that possible via scripting? I tried getting the code using ScriptListener but it didn't work in a script.

Hello! I had this dumb issue where Photoshop would freeze at startup and when a file is open. I cannot right click properly with my Wacom Intuos Pro pen anymore in Photoshop or Photoshop Beta. Both are fully updated, my computer is up to date, everything is fine. I can still right click in other Adobe programs like Illustrator and InDesign as expected. I'm not totally sure when this happened, but it was very recent, within the last week. I think this bug may have been introduced with a Photoshop Beta update (26.9), because I don't remember updating regular PS (which I use most of the time) when this suddenly became a problem. I had recently updated PS beta to the most current version when I noticed the issue. Today, I updated regular PS to the most current version (26.8) with hopes it would fix the problem. It did not. For reference, I use the bottom button on my wacom pen as a single left click, and top button is set to right click. With the current bug, the top button behaves like a single left click, same as bottom button. All my settings are correct in Wacom
