Ok, bear with me please as this is the first time I’m asking a question but I’ve been a photoshop user for over 15 years. I am having problems in the last month that after editing a bit several things will happen at once- My alt no longer works (I am usually using it before adding layer mask in order to hide all when I notice it). Any brush type tool (brush, heal, dodge, etc) as well as quick select and lasso, etc will only register the initial place I click and will not drag. Meaning one pin point whatever size and nothing else. IT seems to be only in photoshop, although I did notice in Camera raw none of my sliders are working. I can adjust by clicking or manually entering numbers but I cannot grab and drag it across the sliders which I used to be able to do. That is a constant and doesn’t happen just with the glitch happens. When the glitch happens, restarting photoshop will fix it temporarily. I cannot find one thing that sets it off, after MULTIPLE days of testing things.
What is the difference between super resolution and/or sharpening in Camera Raw, and AI Sharpen in Photoshop? Are they the same but at a different place in the workflow, or do they work differently? I’ve been using Super Resolution for a few years to be able to make larger prints, but the file sizes are then too big to apply the AI sharpen tool in PS. Trying to determine if a Better workflow or use of different tools would assist me. Thanks!
Hi everyone,I tried the gen expand feature on this image, but the expansion(upwards) doesn’t quite match the original image. The water droplets don’t have the starry sparkle, and the water doesn’t have that greenish-blue hue.Is there a fix?Thank you
This version has so many bugs, I don’t even want to use it any more and am switching back to 2025. Just to name a few, it crashes every time you try to print directly from the program. The last month alone, it has cleared my actions 3 times without an app update. It crashed randomly when our workflow is always the same. I have files that work just fine with older versions, but with 2026 it acts like my files are corrupt. Updates clearly aren’t helping either and I have my workspace and preferences the way I like, but even with syncing the actions continuously get cleared. If this ever gets fixed I’ll consider switching, but in the meantime until 2027 comes out, I will be sticking with 2025.
I tried opening Photoshop this morning but I kept getting a message that it cannot open. I went to my Creative Cloud and it said Photoshop was not installed. It directed me to use Photoshop on the web browser. I downloaded the DMG file and opened it (working on a MAC) and it now works but ALL my Actions, Presets and Brushes from years of collection are gone. How do I get them back?
I am trying to erase an item from a photo which has been working and now all of a sudden it says the operation cannot be completed….I dont understand and I cant figure out how to update or reset it
Hello, I have a question about inpainting with Generative Fill in Adobe Photoshop. Two months ago, I could simply use a rectangular selection tool on a photo, and the AI would inpaint it flawlessly, with seamless continuation of clothing color and skin tone. Now, however, the results are messy the inpainting doesn't match the surrounding image, and sometime generates an entirely new, different-looking person within the selection.
Instale la version 2021 (22.0) y al querer licuar ua imagen no puedo hacerlo. dentro del filtro no se ve mi imagen y se ve todo gris. No puedo usarlo. No se como solucionarlo
If Simulate Pressure isn’t working as expected in Photoshop, try this quick setup:Use the Pen Tool (P) to create an open path. Press B to switch to the Brush Tool. Go to Window → Brush Settings. Open Shape Dynamics and enable it. Under Size Jitter, set Control to Pen Pressure. Right-click on the canvas and choose Stroke Path. In the Stroke Path dialog, select Brush and enable Simulate Pressure. Click OK.This should allow Photoshop to create a tapered stroke that simulates pen pressure along the path.If the result still looks uniform, double-check that Shape Dynamics → Size Jitter → Control is actually set to Pen Pressure, and make sure you’re using a brush that supports size variation.

PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE… FIX this error!I get this error a lot with the Liquify and Camera Raw Filters. I also upgraded to your latest PS version and it’s slow and filters don’t work correctly and it generally [cursing removed], thus I downgraded to PS 27.6!I pay $70 a month for the “privilege” of using Adobe products and this particular error has been prevalent for the last year. ssue summary:Photoshop 27.9.0 appears to automatically enable Proof Colors every time I open a new image. This causes the image on the main canvas to look significantly brighter, desaturated, and washed out.Steps to reproduce:Open Photoshop 27.9.0. Open any image file. The image opens looking washed out on the main canvas. The same image looks correct in macOS Preview and also looks correct in the Layers panel thumbnail. Go to View → Proof Colors and turn it off. The image immediately returns to the correct color and contrast. Open another image. Proof Colors appears to be enabled again automatically, and the new image is washed out until I turn Proof Colors off again.Expected result:Proof Colors should remain off unless I manually enable it, and newly opened images should display with their normal color and contrast.Actual result:Every newly opened image appears washed out because Proof Colors seems to be enabled automatically. Turning it off fixes the current image, but the issue rep
This only started happening I think with the previous (25.4?) update, or at least a couple months ago. Basically the Layers panel always starts collapsed after opening a new blank document. See screenshot below. I have to double click it to expand it. At first I thought it was an issue with my custom workspace, but then I tried enabling Essentials (Default) and resetting it, and it still does it! Things I've Tried:Switching to Essentials (Default) and then selecting "Reset Essentials" to be sureEnsuring the preference for "Auto-Collapse Iconic Panels" is uncheckedEnsuring "Auto Show Hidden Panels" is checkedEnabling / Disabling "Lock workspace" Things I've Noticed:For both the Essentials workspace (and even my custom workspace), if I hit Reset workspace, the Layers panel DOES expand how it should. However, if I then close Photoshop and re-open, new documents again start with it minimized. The panel is indeed collapsed, not just shrunken like you'd drag it small. Because w
Since updating to the latest Photoshop 2026 (27.x), the keyboard shortcuts (Mac) no longer work. However, they still work properly in Photoshop 2025 (26.2).How do I fix this?
Using Photoshop 27.4.0, Mac Tahoe 26.4, using my computer when working in Photoshop. I used to be able to use Command H to hide the application as I worked between LR and Ps. That shortcut continues to work on my older computer, on my new laptop, but for some reason no longer works on my Mac Mini. The only way I can minimize it is to click on the yellow circle in top left corner. I’ve gone into Keyboard Shortcuts, to View > Extras which shows the Command symbol+H. How do I get the shortcut back the way I want it to work? Thanks in advance.
One particular font on my system (Highway Gothic) suddenly has a bug on Photoshop. I’ve used it daily for 2 years and it continues to work without issue on other applications (including Adobe Animate). On Photoshop, this particular font resizes the text cursor so ridiculously large it’s unusable. This began last week randomly. See the attached screenshot – default settings, 6 pt at 300 DPI, the cursor is more than double the size of the canvas. Have tried deleting/reinstalling the font, deleting Photoshop’s font cache, the settings file, updating, resetting the character panel, and restarting my computer. I can’t get this font to go back to working normally.
When attempting to use the “Rotate Object” tool, it starts the process and right when I’d expect it to allow me to rotate the object it puts me back to before I’d hit transform with a pop up that fails to load. I initially thought it could be a credits issue however I have ample credits and have used the tool before. If I’m missing something I’d appriciate some help. There should also be a video attached to this. Thanks.
it says damaged file
I'm reporting what appears to be a GPU rendering bug in Photoshop.I recently purchased a new HP Omen laptop specifically for Photoshop work, but I'm experiencing a persistent graphics issue that only occurs in Photoshop.SystemHP Omen Laptop Windows 11 AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU AMD Radeon 610M (integrated GPU) Photoshop 27.8 (also tested with 26.11.6)IssueRandom black horizontal lines appear only inside the Photoshop canvas. The artifacts usually appear while:Moving the mouse Panning the document Zooming Moving or transforming layersThe important detail is that the artifacts are limited to the image canvas only. The Photoshop interface (menus, panels, toolbar, etc.) remains completely normal, and the artifacts never appear elsewhere in Windows.I've attached a screenshot where the black line is visible only inside the canvas.Sometimes the issue becomes worse:Photoshop freezes. The screen briefly goes black. The laptop suddenly restarts. There is no BSOD.Importan

The ai sharpen feature that comes with photoshop is not working. can someone help trouble shoot. Ive installed previous versions, tried opening photoshop via cloud app and not working either. Asked AI chats and followed the many suggestions but not working. Ive done everything but uninstall and reinstall.
When using the default, “Soft Round Pressure Size” brush in Photoshop, I am experiencing an issue I’ve found out to be called the “shoelace” or “aglet.” You can see it in the images I’ve provided, but essentially, I have these small “aglets” at the ends of my strokes when using pen pressure as the control for the size of my brush. These “aglets” appear no matter the setting, driver, hardware, user profile, or pen-tip adjustments that I’ve tried so far. In my experience, what I’m seeing is a light “hotspot” when I put my pen down (if using opacity/flow below 100%), and when I pull up, I get the aglets. I am in a digital illustration class, and my professor uses this brush for our exercises, making it difficult for me to keep up with the class.Below I will list out, to the best of my ability, my relevant hardware/software specs as well as the diagnostic tests I’ve tried. This happens across all hardware and driver installs: Software -Windows 11: version 10.0.26200 build 26200 Driver: NVI
I just bought the new samsung book 5 pro 360 with the ultra 7 and intel arc graphics for using photoshop. it has 16 gb of ram and let me tell you, it runs like a turtle. this laptop cost almost 2 grand so I feel like it should be able to use Photoshop without any issues. I dont even know what is the cause of this, I have tried searching for advice but nothing super helpful comes up. Has anybody else got this laptoip or experienced this. Mike
