On my computer with Windows 11, I am running the CS6 Master Collection, which I purchased in 2012. Recently, I can start Photoshop, but I can no longer use it. It freezes and blocks the entire computer. Even after reinstalling Photoshop, I get the same result. The other programs in the bundle are still working perfectly.Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get Photoshop working again?

Hello,Photoshop Generative Fill shows “This feature is currently not available”.My subscription is active and I have Generative Credits available.I already reinstalled Creative Cloud, reset firewall, signed out/in and accepted Firefly terms.please help me

I’m working in Photoshop on a product photo that includes a high-gloss black acrylic board with metal chains and gold elements hanging in front of it. The problem is that the specular glare on the acrylic overlaps and intersects with the chains, and any attempt to select the board also selects parts of the chain. Key constraints: The acrylic board and the chains share similar brightness and color in places The glare overlaps the chains (not cleanly separated) I do not want to manually trace or lasso the chains or board I want a non-destructive workflow (adjustment layers / masks preferred) My goal: Reduce or control glare/reflections on the black acrylic Keep the chains, gold bar, and lettering completely untouched Ideally use tonal, luminosity, object-based, or mask-driven techniques rather than hand masking Is there a recommended Photoshop workflow for protecting complex metallic objects and adjusting the surface behind them when selections overlap like this? Screenshot attached.Phot

Topaz Photo AI and Topaz Photo Studio will not open when working with a photo. Version 2025 and vs 2026 Photoshop crashes on open . No problem up untill the end of January 2026!

My smoothing option is not greyed out it can be put at 100% but the behaviour of the brush stays the same as with smoothing turned off. I just want this "Lazy Mouse" how can I get this to work? Because on my old PC it worked but now on my macbook it is just not working since I installed it. It is just smoothing out the last part of my drawing which is weird as well (shown in the video)Here is a video showing my issue: https://imgur.com/a/lHrpMMS

Hi, I would also like to point out that since the 27.3 update preview of vibrance and saturation slider does not work properly. Preview only show on half of the image and if I start to play with the sliders the whole preview stars to fall a apart and I dont really know what am i doing. The whole adjustment becomes unusable.

Build a new PC, asus x670e-e,  ryzen 7950x, 96 gig ram, Windows 11 24H2, GF 4060ti 16GB. Every other Adobe app and game and so on works fine, just Photoshop, no matter what version does not load. There is not a splash screen coming. Out of 50 times starting, rebooting and so on it maybe opens ones. Tryed beta, 2022, 2024, latest... i am going crazy! fresh installed windows, falshed bios, changed bios settings and so on. Where could i find logs, why it does not load? In task manager it just idles 0% cpu, 22,3 mb ram, 0 net 0 disk... i close it try again... starting in windows save mode it mostly loads. Updated all drivers, too ofcause... lightroom, illustrator, all other apps work....

J’ai constaté depuis hier que lorsque je fais un réglage du rayon dans Tons foncés, si je souhaite modifier un réglage dans tons clairs, ou plus bas un des autres paramètres disponibles, mon réglage rayon de tons foncés se remet systématiquement à 0.Ce qui n’était pas le cas auparavant.Quelqu’un d’autre a-t’il constaté le même problème? 

How to change the default save location for linked smart objects? Every time I convert an embedded smart object to a linked one, I have to reselect the folder manually, because the save location always defaults to a fixed folder instead of the one I chose last time.

I was trying to Upcale in Photoshop (Creative Cloud subscription) as LRC does not allow upscaling if the denoise option has been used, and there is no Generative Upscale option in the Image dropdown. What am I missing? All apps have been updated

When installing DxO Nik Collection 8 it does not appear as the photoshop plugin. DxO have been helpful however the issue seems to be that this file (UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.exe) should be in the folder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\RemoteComponents\UPI\UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent) when Photoshop installs and no matter how many times I install photoshop from creative cloud this does not exist. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi everyone,I’m facing a strange issue in Photoshop 2024. The Generate Background option under Generative Fill stays greyed out even when I have a clear selection active with the lasso tool. Generative Fill itself works if I type a prompt, but the specific “Generate Background” shortcut never becomes clickable.I’ve checked that I’m signed into Creative Cloud, internet is working, and GPU acceleration is enabled. I also reset preferences and tried a fresh document with a simple subject cut out, but the option still does not activate. I’m on Windows 10 with the latest Photoshop update.Has anyone run into this where Generative Fill works but the Generate Background option refuses to enable? I’m wondering if this is tied to document size, color mode, or some hidden requirement I’m missing.

Hi,I paste into a .psd photo a second scene with grass and trees and tarmac, to replace non period humans and barriers, and see that the added grass is more saturated and yellowy, perhaps also the trees, however I need the grass to match the existing grass colour wise.What method to achieve this ?I dont want to just alter hue as the sky and all else will change as well.Some means of indicating to pshop I want to alter just the grass.Having to do a selection and go up all the blades of grass is not my preference, something quick is better. CheersMerlin

When I open a 16-bit ProPhoto RGB image in Photoshop and add a Clarity and dehaze adjustment layer the Dehaze function wildly over processes the image in comparison to what Dehaze would do in Camera Raw (as a Filter) or what it would do back in Lightroom with the same image. Converting the image to 8-bit in Photoshop and then adjusting Dehaze gives the behavior I would expect. ** Science bitOS: macOS 15.7.3 (24G419)Mac: Apple M1 Max based Mac Studio (2022)Photoshop: 27.3 and 27.3.1Lightroom Classic : 15.1.1   ** ScreenshotsHere is the image in Photoshop prior to any edits (just LRC processing and then Edit In Phoshop…) I now add a new Clarity and Dehaze adjustment layer with default settings (everything is fine) Next I set the Dehaze to +3 (a subtle amount when applied in LRC or ACR) and the image has been significantly over-processed If I remove that adjustment layer and make the same +3 Dehaze move using Filter -> Camera Raw Filter, I see what I would expect  Thanks. I updated to the latest Photoshop 2025 and Camera Raw.  I was following a tutorial on new features with Camera Raw, but when I clicked 'detail', there was no option for Denoise (all the options to change each are there).  In the tutorial instructions said after clicking 'detail' there should be an option for Denoise to click (auto denoise) was not there.

Im using PS 26.11 on the new Mac OSX Tahoe 26.0 but the problem was also on previous OSX.Photoshop is doing freaky previews on PSD layered files as you can see in the pic below, its like a combination of layers on the PSD file.   The real problem is photoshop Droplets no longer work so I bought an app called RetroBatch to make high and low jpegs for my clients, but the jpegs look like these crazy preview images.  Its really effecting my business as my work looks corrupted.   Anyone have any clues for a fix? I suggest Adobe fixes Photoshop completely or put its pricing back down -50%, sure the AI is cool but if it can't deliver basic layered PSD's what are we paying for. 

Instale la version 2021 (22.0) y al querer licuar ua imagen no puedo hacerlo. dentro del filtro no se ve mi imagen y se ve todo gris. No puedo usarlo. No se como solucionarlo
