Questions

My brandnew Photoshop Elements 2026 can not handle CR3 files.A message appears that thsi file type is nos supported, although it does appear in the list of supported file types. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Regards, Erna

Hello, I just joined this Adobe community today, 10/17/25, and I really don't know if this is the right  community for me. I've been logged in for about an hour, and it seems a bit confusing. Maybe I need more time to explore this forum.  I curently use Elements 2018 and 2024, on a Windows desktop.. I am looking for a free, public, offical Adobe Elements forum (if there even is one out there), to ask general questions. Questions/help on photo editing, etc. Questions to people with more knowledge than I have. Am I in the right place? Or is there somewhere else on the internet where I should be looking for an Elements forum? Thanks for any any assistance you can offer me.

Ich verwende PSE 2024 auf Windows 11 und solange ich damit arbeite, funktioniert alles bestens. Sobald ich einen Arbeits-Unterbruch von vielleicht 30 Minuten einschalte und das Programm weiter offenbleibt, kann ich sowohl den Organizer wie auch den Editor nicht mehr benutzen, das Programm funktioniert nicht mehr, der Organizer ist blockiert (lässt sich mit dem Task-Manager beenden), der Editor lässt sich normal schliessen und eine Fehlermeldung erscheint. I'm pulling my hair out with Mac Elements Organizer 2026! The Organizer window has a MAJOR difference from LR, and that is that I can't select the PARENT FOLDER, and see the contents of ALL NESTED SUBFOLDERS containted within. This makes viewing and organizing a complete PITA, as I can't just veiw my ENTIRE catalog of images, then make selections over that entire group of images. I'm also missing the file count for each Folder. Hope someone can help! In the attached photo, I've selected Food and Cooking, and the Media window is blank rather than showing me the contents of all the nested folders; ie. bbqhq, coffee, etc.

SYSTEM: MAC OS 26 TAHOEADOBE'S SOFTWARE: Adobe Elements 2026 Update Service After weeks of digging deep with diagnostics, Apple tech, and other software support techs, today I was not surprised to diagnose YET ANOTHER issue with Adobe's software!!This time, I discovered that if Adobe Elements 2026 Update Service is enabled in the System Preferences: App Background Activity panel, SPOTLIGHT WILL NOT RETURN FILES RESULTS! The symptom is, when you use spotlight to search for a file, no results are returned. NO amount of Terminal work, force rebuilding indexes, trashing files, etc. would work. Once Adobe Elements 2026 Update Service was toggled OFF, BINGO...files started appearing after I forced the Spotlight index to be rebuilt by Adding then Removing the volumes in Spotlight's Privacy panel. You'll notice by the two attached screenshots that no files are returned until the above is disabled.

I have installed Elements 2026 on a mac and the option to import from a memory card / card reader no longer appears, any idea why?

Bonjour, Jr'ai installé PE 2025 sans problème. Lorsque je veux ouvrir celui-ci, il me demande mon login et mdp. Après introduction de ceux-ci , il revient à la page d'acceuil et lrosque je veux le lancer, il me demande à nouveau mon login et mdp, et cela indéfiniment. Que puis-je faire? Merci pour votre aide. Many times when opening a Camera Raw file into the Photoshop Elements 2026 Editor on Mac Intel  laptops with installed Camera Raw 17.3.1, the Menu Bar (top of the screen with File, Edit,Image, etc) freezes meaning it doesn't respond to clicks to reveal the menu items.   Seems to be the same bug that has been reported in the Photoshop forum: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-ps-25-12-on-macos-15-menu-buttons-freeze-after-using-camera-raw-liquify-intel-macs/idi-p/14870909#comments     When the Menu Bar is frozen it turns into bold text like in the screenshots below:               Usually one can unfreeze the Menu Bar by using a keyboard shortcut for File>Save for Web or File>Contact Sheet II or Filter>Correct Camera Distortion. Then the Menu Bar text turns to the normal regular text and unfreezes as in the screenshot below:         This is on a 2015 MacBook Pro running macO

Last month I got a new PC with Windows 11.  In addition to other programs, my IT guy installed (I thought) Photoshop Elements 2025 & Photoshop Premiere Elements 2025 - purchased as a bundle/package and paid for a three-year license.  Today for the first time I tried to open and use it.  When I clicked on the Photoshop icon on my desktop, I got a screen that showed the Organizer, Photo Editor and Video Editor icons.  The Organizer opened, but when I clicked on the Photo Editor button it told me to download my free trial.  And it wouldn't go any further.  I opened my Adobe "my account" page, and it shows my name and that I have this package, expiring next September, but it then has a download button.  Does that mean that the download process was not completed by my IT person and I have to figure out how to do the rest of this stuff all by myself?   I did then click that download button, but I have no idea what to do next.  I looked in

On Adobe's Danish Internet page there seems to be a flaw. When I go to the Photoshop Elements section and want to upgrade my 2025-version to 2026 I only get one option: Upgrade to PSE 2025. Not 2026.Apx. one hour ago I wrote this to Adobe on the chat, and the representative just told me that Adobe is not selling licenses anymore - only subscriptions. After that he just left the chat. Very rude behavior!

In pse 2026 the brush thumbnail changes to the default view/size (stroke thumbnail) after choosing "large thumbnail" after restarting the editor.I've reset the brushes and do not have any custom brushes I've manually installed.Another user in a FB group report this yesterday.

I bought PS Elements and just installed it.  When I opened the program Adobe asks me if I want to try it for 7 days or buy it. I already bought it. What do I do? I bought directly from Adobe and have the email receipt.

Juli aktiviert.Danach habe ich einen  neuen Rechner bekommen, bei dem ich dann das Mainboard erneut tauschen mußte.Jetzt wird mir immer angezeigt daß ich die maximale Anzahl von Computern erreicht hätte. Wie kann ich die alten Aktivierungen löschen? Vielen Dank

Can load Elements 2022 on Windows 10 on both a desktop computer and a Laptop but not on Windows 11. Gets to 46% loaded and then stops with Error Code 127

Elements 2025, trying to print borderless, only doing two sides of print, help please.

How do I replace a saved file without having to constantly rename the file? (Save in version set with original is unchecked).  In PS2025, when I used Save As to the file, it replaced it - it did not create multiple versions.

I'm trying to install Photoshop elements on to my new laptop (Windows).  I go to my products, I click download.   It downloads the .exe file, but when I try to run it I just get a blank white box.   it doesn't do anything, load anything or give any prompts.   I have tried different browsers, enabling pop ups and also going to the file, right clicking and run as administrator.   I have also tried downloading it on our other laptop in case it was an issue with my antivirus but I get the same thing all the time.   Anyone else had the same issue?  Is there a solution?   How do I get it installed on my new laptop?

I am new to Photoshop Elements 2025.I was forced to upgrade because my previous Elements version was not compatible with Windows 11.There are many differences -- some are just changes, others are IN THE WAY of what I want to do or how I want things to look/work.Is there a way to advise Adobe of my struggles and to suggest improvements for future Elements releases?

Bonjour, En mode automatique, pour calculer le facteur d'échelle de l'interface utilisateur, Photoshope element utilise les paramètres de l'écran principal au lieu des paramètres de l'écran sur lequel il est affiché. C'est un bug et surtout un problème si tous les écrans n'ont pas le même pourcentage d'échelle. En mode non automatique, il propose 100% et 200% mais pas 50% ou 75%. Y-a-t-il un moyen de forcer ce paramètre à d'autres valeurs en attendant que le bug soit corrigé.Et savez vous comment faire remonter ce bug ? Merci.

I am new to 2025 --------- unable to move the taskbar to the top of the screen.Online instructions say to click and drag the handle on the left side -- but my taskbar has no handle or title.I tried custon workspace but that didn't help.What am I doing wrong?

When I am pasting in something I copied wit the marquee tool. I need to be able to *SEE* the area to poisition it correctly.Those pop-up black boxes that indicate the horizontal and vertical positions are often IN THE WAY.Is there a way to disable or hide them?

For almost two weeks now, you can no longer access Adobe Stock if you want to change the background in Photoshop Elements. How can I solve this problem?

My fathere-in-law had been using Photoshop for many years, starting with elements 9 and upgraded on a regular basis. Unfortunately  he recently passed away and I want to move his photoshop and his catalog to a new computer. I tried to log in using his email but Adobe says that email doesn't have an account. I have his latest CD's for installation, but without finding where his product is registered  i can't install it on my computer. I created an account using his email and installed creative cloud on his pc, but it still doesn't recognize his products. Any suggestions on where I go from here would be appreciated. 

I cannot import MP4 video into PSE Organiser. The video plays ok on my PC so, presumably I have the right codec installed.Can anyone help?Thanks,Jim
