Hi everyone,I’m really stuck with something and it’s driving me crazy. I have a long timeline with all of my dailies for an ongoing project, many hours long. Whenever I try to export even a very small selection (via In/Out), Premiere forces a “Rendering Required Audio Files” process that appears to go through the entire timeline, not just the portion I’m exporting. It does this every single time I export, even if: I made no audio changesI already exported the sequence yesterdayI’m only exporting a few seconds It looks like Premiere is regenerating audio previews for everything before it will allow the export to start. This adds anywhere from 15–30 minutes (or more) of wasted render time before the export even begins. Screenshot example attached, showing only a few seconds selected, yet Premiere renders the entire sequence’s audio first. I do not understand why this is happening:Are audio previews being invalidated constantly?Is Premiere requiring audi

Whenever I right-click on a sequence, and choose “New Sequence From Clip,” a new sequence will be created with the original sequence’s video, but it won’t bring over any audio whatsoever.

I’m having an issue where comments that are added to clip markers are disappearing/changing.  I’m using a workflow/method that has worked almost flawlessly for years.  For instance, I was logging an interview and adding markers with comments to the clip in the Source monitor.  I’ll hit M to add the marker and I’ll add my comment.  If I have to add to or edit the comment, I will do that in the Marker Panel while I continue to watch the interview.  About half way through the interview, I went to check something in an earlier marker and I noticed that any comment edits I made were gone.  A similar but far worse thing happened the other day with a different interview when all of the comments changed to “Comment.”  All of the markers are still there but the very detailed log notes/comments are either gone or altered and that’s a very serious problem. All of the XMP options are unchecked and I am definitely adding clip markers.  I’ve tried all of things I’ve seen mentioned on various forums

Hi everyone,For the past few days Premiere Pro keeps giving me black, unresponsive panels, and it's getting worse. It's not just one panel — multiple panels go black and scattered, and I can't click anything in them. Some panels appear behind the main Premiere window (I have to minimize Premiere just to see them), and sometimes a panel even floats loose on the desktop, fully black and detached from Premiere (see screenshots).This happens even in a brand-new, empty project, so it's not a corrupted project file.What happens:Multiple panels turn black, scattered and unclickable. I’ve got a drop-frame (DF) 29.97 sequence (semicolons indicate DF):When I export out of this sequence, I can only get non-drop-frame (NDF) video (colons). The sequence has a mixture of DF and NDF sources. If I export a section of the sequence that has only DF, the exported video is DF. But if the export includes NDF video, the exported video is NDF. Unfortunately for me, my broadcast client requires DF, no way around it. I have tried:Rebooting Updating Premiere to 26.2 Sending to Media Encoder and toggling Metadata on, then tweaking those settings, including Export Options set to Embed Output File or Minimum required.  Toggling Set Start Timecode (which shows 00;00;00;00, semicolons) Emptying Media Cache Creating a new Premiere project and recreating the sequence Shaking fist at the computer gods who mock me.Any ideas or thoughts would be amazing, folks.

If I have proxies on and use a lower-quality version than the original clips, would this affect the accuracy of the Object Mask tool's results (especially when Tracker is applied)? Or does the tool still address the original files as the app does for rendering?

My audio wave forms always seem to disappear, when ever i close premiere pro and open it back up, wave forms gone, when I attach proxies, wave forms gone, I move the timeline or zoom in waveforms gone…….. I’ve tried clearing media cache, render and replacing, even reimporting the files but nothing…… how can this fuckass program that we pay a ridiculous subscription price for have so many fucking problems, don’t even get me started on the constant crashing for just trying to cut up footage sometimes…. I use a Macbook pro M4 for editing recordings from OBS which should be more than enough than what I need done in premiere pro for basic cutting and editing

I must have inadvertently changed a setting in Premiere. Weird --- the in and out frames while slipping would mostly fill the frame. Now---they’re much smaller rectangles. 🤔

I’ve been regularly compiling short video clips into approx. 10 min videos using Premiere Elements 2025 (and ver 2022 before that).  The source of the clips is varied, typically from trail cameras (1080 x 1920 @ 30fps or 1296 x 2304 @ 20fps ), occasionally from a pixel phone (sometimes 1080 @ 30fps, sometimes 4k @ 60fps), a Nikon Z8 (4k @60fps).I normally drop in a 1080 x 1920 @ 30fps clip to set the sequence setting before dragging in the remaining clips.  I usually output to 1080 or 720 at 30fps.  Been doing this for years without issue.  Something has changed.  Starting a few days ago numerous, but not all, clips are very blurry in the preview window.  Rendering does not help.  If I export, the blur remains as in preview. Premiere 2025, Win 11, Dell 3030, NIVIDA GeForce RTX 3050Adding a single clip usually results in a clear preview, adding multiple clips results in numerous blurry clips but not all from the same camera or same settings (properties).  Interestingly, sometimes a blur

I'm used to working on Avid systems where the length of the timeline is determined by the last asset in the timeline, where it ends. I'm editing commercials and don't need or want a 10 minute timeline. Does anyone know how to change the duration of the timeline, like you can in After Effects? I've tried everything I can think of and It seems like it is not possible.... Thanks!

when applying reverb to a clip, the reverb stops abruptly when the clip stops,   this makes the reverb effect fairly useless in a lot of cases i think, and necessitates creating an individual audio track  using reverb as an insert in order to get the desired effect.it would be nice if there was a way to toggle between "end when clip ends" and "keep going after clip ends"   for those long reverbsit would also be nice to be able to do this with delays etcmaybe there is a way but i just didnt find it yet...

While scaling images in Premiere the uniform scale is not working even though it is checked. The images are being stretched vertically but not horizontally. I have never had this problem before and have three instances from others with the same problem. I have found that if I snip the picture from the screen I can scale with no problems but the original photos on the timeline will stretch and be disordinate.

Hello, am I the only one who sometimes gets a message saying that Adobe Premiere can't open a certain editing file because it was created in a newer version? But I only have one version of Premiere—always the same one—and the editing was done in that same software. Why does it sometimes refuse to open my file and, more importantly, tell me that it was created in a different version of the software in that case?

The in/out frames (2 of them) in the Program monitor while using the slip tool used to stretch to fill most of the frame. Recently, I’ve been getting much smaller rectangles (frames) that preview those in and out points --- and one small rectangle in the upper left,as well. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Maybe I inadvertently changed a setting? Ernie

I feel like you should be able to attach proxies to full resolution media based on video and not just audio - I have hours worth of proxies that a DIT made and the audio channels don't match the source files so I can't connect them. I can do this the traditional way, working with proxies, until picture lock, unlinking and then re-linking to full resolution media, however I'd prefer to have both on hand in Premiere.

couple of days before I updated my adobe premiere to version 26.3 .Now if i try to add horizontal grid line , it appers vertical

Now that Echo was remove as an obsolete effect (and I know I can bring it back but it’s just for a time until Adobe fully remove those obsolete effects completely in the future versions) how do you make a slow shutter effect in your videos?I tried the new FI Echo glow but it has no settings for it. The only workaround I found was Frame blending, but you have to first slow the clip down at a certain rate, then nest it and speed it up at the same rate. This is too clumsy. Manual animation of Directional Blur or using AE for such a simple task is also nonsense. Overlaying the same layer again and again with blending is no good too because you have to make too many duplicates.What else?Thanks, Adobe, for removing the simple Echo effect with no alternatives by the way...  

Hey guys,Whenever I download a high-res video (2K/4K) using yt-dlp and import it into Premiere Pro, I only get the audio track on the timeline (or the video track is completely black).

Hi guys. New here.So I have a new laptop and bluetooth mouse. When I use PP on the laptop screen everything is perfect. But when I use PP on my 27 inch Benq screen I have an issue with the mouse cursor. It is fine and the normal size when it's just the arrow moving around the screen, but when you go to use the cursor to say trim a clip or drag a clip up and down, the icon become large until you have completed the move or task then it goes back to the normal sized arrow.Any ideas on what's happening and how to fix it ?Cheers

Since more and more customers especially from events I film at, ask for clips of overview shots or just people dancing etc. I always grade them and edit them perfectly to make sure the clips are perfect. Now I do know about the nesting each clip to batch export it in media encoder I was wondering if there is a faster way? Since I am also using an adjustment layer above all the clips and constantly matching each shot and then selecting all the layers to nest is just getting a bit annoying.I also know that you can make multiple sequences for each clip but if you have to export 50+ clips it's just so much work for something that could be so easy. Is there a way or maybe a future plan where you can just select your sequence and say I wanna export each clip on this timeline individually with all the effects and adjustment layers applied?

I’ve tried your agent (even remote access), I’ve tried uninstalling via the SYSTEM APPS, via the CC tool app in my desktop, I’ve tried the cleanup tool, nothing works. The CC app thinks it is uninstalled but it is not as I can open it. I am on WIN 11, Premiere Por 2026. Can you HELP?Should I uninstall the ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD? I think the problem is it. Hi everyone, So I have a production with several projects (music, episodes, broll, interviews, etc). It's a large project with over 100 interviews. I have one project per episode (3 in total) and they all share the same source materials (over 100 multicam interviews). In one of the projects, I'm able to edit the transcriptions of the sequences with no problem. The other two projects I'm unable to do so (I click on the words on the tranxscript and nothing happens). I can't figure out what I've done differently between projects... I'm working on Premire pro 25.1.0 and my machine is Mac Studio Apple M1 Max with 32 Gb RAM running Sequoia 15.3 Thanks, Marcos H.

Can anyone tell me why this happened, and how I can get the color scheme and labels back to exactly how they were before I upgraded? 

Premiere Pro 26.3 repeatedly asks for Desktop access, even though Full Disk Access is enabled.I'm using macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 on M1 MaxThis issue started 3 days ago. Before that, all 2026 versions of Premiere worked normally.I've tried reinstalling Premiere, it didn’t help.Full Disk Access is enabled.My macOS user has Read & Write permissions.Restarting my Mac temporarily fixes the issue, but the error returns the next time I launch Premiere.Premiere Pro 2025 works perfectly, but I need to use the 2026 version because my projects were created in the newer version.Is this a known issue with Premiere Pro 26.3 on macOS Tahoe, and is there a fix or workaround?

Not sure if this is how Premiere works or not, but here is what I WISH I could do. Please advise!On my main timeline (let’s say it’s 1 minute long) I have a still image, Layer 1, basically as a backdrop. On the layer above, Layer 2, I want to place a small animation, let’s call it “ball”, which is a sequence of its own and the animation is within that sequence. It’s not a movie clip. Just an object whose position changes on the sequence timeline. What I want is for the main timeline to carry on and at some point I want it to reference the “ball” sequence and play only certain frames, but to repeat over and over while the rest of the main timeline goes on. Then at some point, reference “ball” sequence again, but different frames and repeat as well.The ball sequence is only about 4 seconds, so I just want to reference and repeat. I don’t want to duplicate it over and over on the main timeline for certain reasons. Is this possible? Thanks!
