Questions

What I'm looking for is the text appearing letter by letter, not a wipe or a mask or something. I've searched tutorials but all I found was wipe effects dragged onto the text. I'm new to Premier but good at after effects, where there are text animation resets. Does premier have something like this aswell? I found graphic templates but not text animators specifically.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to efficiently sync the durations of multiple stacked clips to the playhead. Some of the clips are shorter, and others are longer than what I need. I've tried pressing E, Shift+Q, and Shift+W in Premiere, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. Please see the short example (from another application) in this video: youtu.be/HZ82zTZRK9I?t=509 

I've included a crash report, but since the past few days Premiere Pro keeps crashing while rendering or exporting a sequence. No matter the project, no matter the used videofile types, no matter the export settings. It always crashes halfway through.I've cleaned cache, re-installed older versions and updated, checked graphic drivers, but it still keeps crashing everytime and Premiere Pro stops responding.I'm working on an Apple M1 pro Macbook with 32gbMacOs Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90)Please help!

The drive containing "my documents" folder was migrated to OneDrive. Premiere is now of course giving me this error. I have checked within windows security to make sure that the "controlled folder access" is not causing any issues and it is currently turned off. Seems I just need to point Premiere to the new folder location but can't find any setting where this can be done. What would be the best way to remap so adobe recognizes the new location of my documents folder?  

I accidentally pressed Command + W when my timeline was selected in premier pro, and this caused all my things on my timeline to disappear. I need help!I've gone and tried to do the history method to restore them back, but it doesn't work. Is there like a version history button in premier pro?(I lost so much work!)

Hi I already posted about a problem on my Macbook Pro. Premiere Pro won't start on that machine.   On my Imac Pro it runs. However, when editing I have a problem.   When I split a clip and trim it, the beach ball will appear for a couple of seconds.    If I try to move a clip on the timeline forward or backwards same thing: the beach ball appears for a few seconds.   [Typo in title fixed by moderator] This make the editing ectremely long.   Any help?   Thanks

Hi.  I posted this a while back and was told to wait on a response from the product team. It has been a month and I have not heard anything back. I have several Adobe certifications - including one for Adobe Premiere Pro - that I am seeking to renew before they expire. The Adobe account under which I had earned them was associated with a student email account that has since been shut down and rendered inaccessible. That means I can't access that account, log in to use the Adobe online tool to update my email, or use the reset my password function (which would require retrieving a code sent to the old address). I opened a case with Adobe's certification department about this issue and they directed me to Certiport, the third-party service through which I earned the certificates. Certiport has updated information on their end but said I need to go through Adobe to get my email address updated for my Adobe account. I've spoken a couple of times with Adobe Sup

When I create a new caption style and then attempt to either save it as a new Track Style or else Push to All Captions on Track, it does not save the Align and Transform properties.  So positioning of the captions does not apply to other captions on the track.

Hi, I have a Mac Studio - M2 Max with 64GB of Ram. I'm running Premiere Pro 2024Most of my projects consist of video templates (mogurts) for graphic motion of titles. Video Previews: Quicktime > Apple ProRes 422 Proxy > 1920 x 1080The issue I'm experiencing is when I render every other clip or so, it takes FOREVER and/orthe render window pops up and for like 30mins nothing happens, then if I cancel it, the mouse still works, but I can't click on anything in the software. I try and "force Quit" and it shows its not responding. So I think it's safe to say, the software has been freezing during the rendering process.  It's been more of an issue when rendering in the timeline rather than just exporting. But that's been very slow too. I was hoping this new computer would help with shortening the rendering time, but it seems like there may be some other issues with the software.  Attached is the window I get stuckon for a long time. I just got a new computer and when I installed Adobe CC onto it, it updated to the 2019 versions. That's fine, but now when I open up files from my old projects there is this gross blue outline around any .mov animation that I made in After Effects. I usually only render alpha channels in AE and then can move the animated objects around the Premiere file. Also whenever I have one of those animations fade in or so any sort of movement instead of fading normally a blue solid of the fade appears and then it turns into the color its supposed to. I've attached a few images as an example of what I'm talking about. You can see the fading issue in the gif I posted. The house on the right is supposed to fade in after the outline is done to fill the color, but instead, it just pops in blue then turns white. I am looking for a way to have two identical instances of the Program panel open at the same time.  One instance of the panel would be docked in the normal Premiere workspace while the second one would be open on a separate monitor. Does anyone know if this is possible? The idea is that I dont need the Program panel to be very large as I am working in the timeline, but would like to be able to play through the footage on a larger display without having to rearrange the workspace.

Hi, I have a MOGRT with texts flying onto the screen, which was made as centered in AE and also looks like that on the thumbnail of the Graphic Templates menu.But when I drop it on the timeline, the upper text is offset... longer text as much as they get cropped even, so I cannot align it manually  😞 See the screenshot attached (also for computer specs and app versions).I have cleared the cache (of PR) and updated both PR & AE (and exported new MOGRTs after)... any other advise? Thanks

I upgraded from version 25.2.3 to version 25.3 yesterday.  I can no longer import m2t files, which I have been importing for YEARS.  I also cannot close Premiere Pro; I have to use task manager to get out of it. Needless to say, I have gone back to Premiere Pro 25.2.3 for now. Windows 10 with latest updatesNVidia GTX 1070, Driver Version 572.8332 GB Ram

Until Premiere 23.6, there was a capture function for importing videos from external devices. It's currently unavailable. Do you know if version 23.6 can be downloaded?

Hey I'm working in production workflow in Premiere 24.3.0  My premiere scratch disk keeps resetting to same as production which is wreaking havoc with my lucid link workflow. I really need my scratch disk to stay set to my external SSD. on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra.  with 128 gigs of ram Mac os 13.6.1 Ventura Any Ideas. this is driving me a little insane.I've rebooted, deleted prefs, cleared caches... nothing works Thanks!!

Hello,I recently started getting the spinning wheel of death when using Premiere.  I'm editing a simple HD slide show. It's a very small project. I'm on a MacBook Pro with 32 GB of RAM.I've tried all of the potential fixes - clearing cache, closing open apps, allocating more RAM to my computer, etc.when it starts, I'm unable to force quit. My computer then freezes and restarts automatically.The only other thing I can think of is that I recently updated to Sequoia 15.5. Any suggestions? Thanks!

In the past, I used to be able to pan an individual audio clip so it was coming out the left or right speaker. It's very handy when a person or animal walks past the camera on a certain side. But now, it's not working for me anymore. I'm probably doing something wrong at a very basic level, but can't work out the solution myself, so any advice would be welcomed.   So, I used to go into the Panner in the effects control panel, and take it to 100 if I wanted the audio purely from the right speaker, or -100 if I wanted it purely from the left. Or keyframe it to ramp from centre to left/right, depending on the situation.     Now, the audio comes out both speakers equally no matter where the slider is set. The audio track type is 'Standard' though I've tried on 'Adaptive' and it's the same. The panner disappears from the Effects Control panel in Mono tracks, and I'm not working in 5.1. When I inspect the audio channels of the clip, it shows it being mono with just one c

I'm trying to use the write on effect on a video but it does not appear in the effects panel. Even searching write on or write-on makes it not appear. I tried to ''manually'' look for it by going into, video effects > generete, but no where to be found. I am new to the software so I might be doing something wrong but even searching online I can't find a solution.Thank you for your time

Every time I launch Premiere it wants to report a problem that doesn't exist (that I know of). Everything is running fine yet it always pops up asking me to report it. Nothing in Premiere indicates there's an error of any kind. This is a minor annoyance that I've put up with for awhile but it does get a little old. Anyone know how to get rid of it? I'm running it on a 2025 Mac Studio M4 Max with 48GB of ram in OS 15.6.1

Whenever I open Adobe Premiere, Adobe Media Encoder or Adobe After Effects the programs won't open and instead just hang on the startup splash screen and immediately stop responding. Adobe Illustrator will open but freezes and crashes as soon as it opens. I had a similar problem last year. I contacted an Adobe support technician who tried helping me by going through my PC for over 5 hours and trying everything from resetting all preferences and settings, reinstalling all Adobe Apps, deleting all Adobe Products and settings off the system and reinstalling them etc. At the end of it they told me my user profile on my computer had been corrupted somehow and that was the reason for the Adobe apps not working. I switched to a new user profile back then and Adobe apps worked perfectly again but the problem was, as this was a new user account, I not only had to set up all my Adobe settings and workspaces again but also everything from my desktop and shortcuts and browser settings et

Hi everyone,I'm having a problem with a current editing project – I've attached the relevant footage.It involves tracking the person in the frame as they stand up and sit down, and I'm setting two keyframes for this.However, the image stutters slightly at the beginning and towards the end. I haven't had this problem in previous projects with the same setup; I can't figure out what's different about this file compared to previous ones that could be causing this stuttering.Restarting didn't help. Does anyone have any ideas? Am I missing something?Thank you!
