I created a link that opens a PowerPoint show file .ppsx and it works great.  Click the link and the PowerPoint show pops right up.   However I need to do the same thing with JavaScript from a button where I hopefully can specify the path to where the PowerPoint .ppsx file is.  I've tried: app.execMenuItem("Open");   and app.launchURL("file:///C:/Users/weswa/Dropbox/Great Western/GWappByESA_AA/Run Files/Photos OBC.ppsx");  This one opens a new window where the file has been downloaded and then can be opened.  Not as quick and direct as the link. Need JavaScript code that will open the .ppsx file imediately like the link does.  Any suggestions?  Thank you in advance for any assistance !

HiI have Acrobat Pro, Enterprise edition, up to date installation. Continuous release version 2025.001.20630, 64 bit, Comments api version 25.1.20630.0, running on Windows 11 as an installed app on my computer. When a coauthor inserts a space using the insert text comment on their Acrobat, it looks like this, which is very clear! The compositors know to insert a space! However, when I insert a space using my commenting insert text, it looks like this:without the ending underscore--yes, I have typed a space in the commenting dialog box. The same goes for inserting a new line and the paragraph mark.  According to all the online Acrobat help I've found, my installation's insert icons should look like the top picture, not the bottom one, when I insert a space. How do I fix this? It's confusing for the compositors when I have to insert a space since they go to the comment box and all there is is blank space.  I've tried switching between the old and the new versions and

We are seeing a recurring issue where users will try to open a PDF in Acrobat Pro or try to launch Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and it will not respond.After several minutes, the following message appears:A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error.  Task manager shows a suspended Acrobat background process. We get users back up and running via killing the process, then repairing the install and having the user sign out and back in with their Adobe ID; but the issue recurrs without rhyme or reason.I feel like we are spinning our tires with Adobe Support.  Our ticket has been escalated multiple times and is sitting with Adobe Engineering, but they have been very slow to respond and we need a resolution.Has anyone here run into this issue?  Any ideas on resolution?

There are many annoying features of Acrobat DC as compared to the prior versions of Acrobat. However, one of the most annoying and time consuming is the need to click "Post" at the end of each comment that you're writing.  Is there a way to turn this off  on a default basis and have comments saved automatically?   If not, are there keyboard shortcuts that can be used to be able to select the Post button and/or close the comment box without having to manually click on the Post box and the X in the upper right to close the comment. Is this "feature" also present in the latest desktop version of Adobe? If not, is it possible to switch from Acrobat DC to the desktop version?

Outlook mit dem Formular als Anhang versende. Das hat die ganze Zeit super funktioniert. Jetzt haben wir in der Firma das "neue" Outlook und da funktioniert das nicht mehr. I suddenly have an issue with missing fonts in Acrobat, and therefore not rendered in a PDF document. Most specifically, Arial/Arial MT are "missing". I am running the most recent version of Windows 11 as well as the current versions of Acrobat and Illustrator. (I tried opening the PDF in Illustrator as a possible workaround only to find I got the same error message.) Attached is a screenshot of the message and also a screenshot of my fonts in my Font folder. I, obviously, have both flavors of Arial on my system. No Adobe product renders the PDF/fonts, though my non-Adobe software do. For instance, opening the PDF in Affinity 2, the fonts are rendered, but in Photoshop 2025, no fonts appear on the page, just a couple of rules. When placed in InDesign, again, no fonts, which a notice says I am missing. This just started happening. The only thing that changed is that I realized a lot of my Type 1 fonts were no longer available in my Adobe software and I used software to convert

I have set the document properties initital view to Document Title. Unfortunately, the file name is displayed in Acrobat Reader not the document title. Any suggestions?CC2022, current OS updated in March.

I have a problem with exporting a large 600 pages file from PDF to MS word, I have a windows 10 Laptop.It is a trial version of acrobat dc. Is there a file size limit?If not possible, is there other useful tools?

Lately, the highlighter tool in "Comment" won't stay active.  I can highlight one thing. Then, say I read a bit more and see something else to highlight, I have to go back up and click on the highlighter to activate it again.  It used to stay active until I deactivated it by unclicking it or choosing another tool.

I am creating a form in InDesign and Acrobat.Drop down menu items can be two or three sentences long.Acrobat cuts the list item off at 100 characters.Can I increase the maximum character per length? If not what solutions exist for having multiple line answers as part of a door down list?

I've tried to install Adobe 2020 on 2 different Mac. One on 15.4.1 and the other on 15.6. Adobe installs normally with no issues (I put in the license key, etc). The issue is when I go to run it the first time and Adobe launches the Adobe Licensing Application to have me log in. I'll put in the information to log in, but after I hit enter, the app crashes every time, on both Macs. I've reinstalled it multiple time and even installed creative cloud and logged into there first, but 2020 still requires me to log in separately. ChatGPT tells me that the licensing application is now incompatible with Sequoia, even though I just installed in on a Mac a couple weeks ago that's on 15.5. Is anyone else having this issue or know what's changed?

Everytime I download a file to Adobe Acrobat, I get the following message, "There was an error opening this document.  This file is already open or in use by another application."  Neither of these are true.  I've tried on many files.  I've also uninstalled and re-installed Adobe Acrobat, but got the same message.  Any suggestions? 

Summary:PDF has Accessibility tags, the content has a reading order in the Order pane, and the page content exists in the Content pane. Nothing that should be readable is artifacted. Hello, I´m working with an important .PDF Document and need to use the Inter Regular Font. I allready reinstalled it several times from different sources, but still can´t get/see the inter regular font in adobe acrobat classic. I see and can use any other inter font, but no regular. Whats the issue?

Hi. I am using Adobe DC and I want to make a document that is 7 pages long, into one long document. I've never done this before and can't work out how to do it. I'm sure there is a way and I am just missing it..I need to upload this document as an easy read to a webpage so don't want people to have to go between pages. Thanks in advance.

After the new release update, specific embedded fonts were not recognized. Complete words and sometimes random letters are missing.  I can't change the font in the software that creates the PDFs  and it worked up until 7/17/25 

Using Acrobat Professional 9.5.5 on Windows 7, I have suddenly lost the ability to resize the Save As Windows, whether from a print to the .pdf printer, or using the Edit-Save As Key. Documents open normally as defined. But, when trying to save the .pdf as something else, the Save As Window opens in "full-screen", covers the source document, cannot be moved by dragging the top margin, and even though the 45-degree re-sizing arrows exist in the corners, does not respond to the commands to re-size. The only updates recently acquired are for Adobe Flash. I have checked all settings in the Properties and Preferences Pages, but find no solution. Is it time to reload the application (and all 20 or so application updates)?

I am running Adobe Acrobat Pro under an uptodate Windows 11 Pro machine, on continuous release, and have never had a problem in >10 years. In the last couple of days it became unresponsive, which cleared if I waited. However, this got worse, when I used some pretty large PDF's. On researching the point, I disabled Protected Mode and Advanced Security. Shortly thereafter, the App just showed a dark screen with a dash, a square and a X at the top. I've tried these steps, all to no avail: repair; uninstall and reinstall; uninstall, run cleaner and reinstall. The icon appears in my Taskbar, and if I right click it a list of recent files is there. If I try to run one, I get an error that 'there was an error opening this document. An internal error occurred.' Any ideas on a fix would be welcome and appreciated.  Ian
