My main issue is with Acrobat, PDFs. Please don't insult my intelligence and tell me it's a sophisticated software. It's not!!! And yet even as a nursing student everything I upload has to be a PDF, and I'm forced to pay to use this paper-combining "software"!!! It's one thing for a corporation to make life easier for people, like discovering a cure for cancer.It's ANOTHER subject for a company to CREATE A PROBLEM, and then innocently offer the cure at an obnoxious price. WHO decided to make PDFs the king of everything, and make this silly software so expensive!

i have a paid acrobat reader version, however it doesn't open a pdf file. Instead I got a page asking me to download an acrobat reader.

Hello,I have a problem with electronically signed documents.Opening them in Windows on a user account containing Polish characters shows a signature verification error message (attachment 1).When opening the same document on an account without Polish characters everything verifies correctly.I am also attaching debug.log (attachment 2). Have any of you had this problem before? I would like a solution that does not require, for example, the creation of a new user.

I’ve already followed some guidelines by disabling caching, turning off Protected Mode at startup and disabling JavaScript, but I haven’t noticed any improvements. Hey,I want to print some package labels that are formatted on half a piece of paper, with the label on half of the PDF, to a 4"x6" thermal printer. The first attachment file is an example of how the PDF is sent to me, flipped on its side and the page size is a full page, with the label taking up half the page. I've searched for the best way to resize a PDF to 4"x6" on Acrobat but when I try to select "Organize Pages" then "set page boxes" and set the page size to 4"x6" it says "page size may not be reduced" as seen in the second attachment file. I check the page size under properties and the size is 10.98"x8.27" so it's larger than the 4"x6" size I want to reduce it too. In the third attachment file, I've tried to go to "print" then under "page sizing & handling" I select "actual size" and then under "orientation" select "Portrait" but then I can't move the printing box (top left of page) to where the label is located (middle right of page). I double checked that the

This already happened the second time. I was doing my usual thing on my PC when the command prompt suddenly appeared with the following: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\Execute\3634\AcroServicesUpdater2_x64.exe" It just stays there, not closing or anything. I had to manually close the window. I am concerned if this is legit from adobe or maybe malware. Please note that I am not techie in checking malware and viruses though. I would appreciate the response on this. Thanks!

I'm trying to add OCR to a PDF of a comic scan but it keeps recognising the wrong things, and doesn't recognise all the texts.Can I select and delete all the wrong OCR and possibly add it myself?

When double-clicking a PDF in Windows 10 File Explorer, Acrobat gives the above error message.  The same problem occurs when choosing "Open With..." from the context menu and choosing Adobe Acrobat.  Choosing "Open With..." using other applications such as Firefox or Chrome does not produce any error.  Choosing "Edit with Adobe Acrobat" from the context menu opens the file without error.  Opening the file from within Acrobat using File/Open does not give any error. The problem is recent, reproducible, and persisted after doing a repair installation of Acrobat.

I have acrobat pro on my iPad Pro. The iPad is connected to a TV via a lightning to HDMI connector. I want my HD format pdf presentation to display full screen on the tv. I can only get it to mirror. How do I get full screen?

Please help! I have two identical scanned templates A & B. I need to know if they were created in PDF or Word. Some lines are longer where they typed text. The lines under typed text aren’t straight. The template A’s  input lines at the bottom of the page goes to the next page. I think someone created them in PDF and someone typed text without using PDF software.But I am not sure. How can I find someone to take a look at? Are there any specialists who can examine that?  Thank you!

I work as a writer and collaborate with various stakeholders on large documents which require copy review. Oftentimes, I need to edit copy in an existing comment in Acrobat.  About a month ago, Adobe Acrobat began automatically changing the author name to my name when editing the copy in someone else's comment. I do not want this to happen. Now, I have to manually go into the properties and change the author's name back to the original person. It's really annoying.  Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a way to turn off this auto-update author name in the Acrobat comments? Thanks.

I've suddenly been riddled with the issue of acrobat not being able to combine my work files. These files are pdf as well and I've been using this same process to combine files for the past 2 years without fail, until now. I've tried signing out and back into the app, and also deleting the app and reinstalling it. I spoke with chat support and they suggested I trying this community to see if I can find an answer. Thanks to all suggestions.

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to create a check box or radio button or ok button that will simply circle the choice made instead of a solid ball or check or x in the center of it.  I have included the document and a picture pointing to where I am trying to implement this.  Please let me know if you can help me. Best regardsJ

Running Acrobat PRO freshly loaded as part of CS6 shuts down once I try to open a file or use it in any way. However I can open files and use it IF I first disconnect the computer from the internet. All other apps on CS6 work normally (photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator etc). This off line work-around works for a while and then acrobat Pro fails to open at all. It looks as if Acrobat Pro is not activating properly while all the other apps are activated normally. I would be extremely grateful for advice on how to fix this.

Hallo, I have a 7 day Trial Abo for Adobe pro and want to cancel IT in time. Adobe sends me to Google Store. But in Google Store noch active Abo is shown. I understand this question probably does not belong in the photoshop community.Who know which catagory it goes in?  I picked the photoshop community because it has a lot of followers.I use a few adobe products through creative cloud.  And adobe seems happy to install their bloatware all over my computer and the apps on my computer.My MS Office programs all have adobe bloatware.I will picke Excel as an example.  Adobe installs an "acrobat" menu on the ribbon in Excel.  Never need it.  No need to have it there.It is simple to remove 1 time.File => Options => Add-ins => Manage - Com Add-ins => Go = > Uncheck - Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM AddinI have done the above 100 times... and as soon as some adobe update runs...  it is turned back on.What a complete rude thing to do.  How do I get these adobe Add-ins permentantly turned off.

I'm trying to use Adobe to edit a PDF (specifically to cut it in half so it'll fit in an email).   Whenever I open Adobe, I get a message asking if I want to make it my default PDF viewer.  There's a toggle to remember my choice, but it doesn't do anything.   Once I get rid of this window, I get a popup ad for the new features, "What's New".  I can't interact with this window in any way.  When I click the X, the window reappears again immediately.  When I try to scroll, or right-click in the What's New window, same thing.  About 20 seconds later, I get an error message reading "Acrobat has encountered a problem.  Some features may not work as expected."   Does anyone have a good alternative program?  I just want to split this PDF in half, nothing fancy.

I am using Adobe Pro to create certificates for trainings that people have taken and it is important to make these certificates accessible.  The accessibility requirements for my organization require that the 'Show' field in the 'Initial View' tab be set to "Document Title" and the 'Language' in the 'Advanced' tab be set to English.  However, when I change these settings, save the document, and then split the document, the newly created documents don't retain the modified settings in those two tabs.  Frustratingly, the 'Description' tab changes ARE retained, so it seems like it should be possible to make it so that the other two tab settings are also retained. Does anyone have a workaround for this?  Otherwise, this leaves me with having to open each newly created certificate individually and change those settings for each one, which is a lot of extra work for no reason.  Thanks for any help people can provide!
