Hello all! Java Script beginner here, not even really a begginer, I only ever used the one script below that I'm now having troubles with. So let me know if you need more info to be able to help with my question.I recently created an editable PDF for a client that needed the highlights for editable fields removed. I used the standard Java Script to hide the highlights:var rths = app.runtimeHighlight ;app.runtimeHighlight = false ;Then I also set Document Actions > Document Will Close to this:app.runtimeHighlight = rths ;to ensure that specific Java Script only works for that specific file. So, once that document was closed out of the highlights would show properly for all other files. This worked for a while but at some point I noticed I stopped seeing highlights in all editable PDFs which shouldn't have happened because of the Document Will Close script. I'm not sure what happened in the process but I always used both scripts noted above as I was making edits to the

Hello there, when I convert an Excel spreadsheet to a PDF, the PDF displays all thousand separators as commas. Can this be changed?Number like this: 10.350are changed into this: 10,350Thanks for any tips!

I think that's an interesting approach to what is requested but not quite what is needed. I have the same problem.   When you choose "Auto" as the font size for a fillable field and then a user starts to use the field, the font begins appearing at a particular size. For me, it seems to be 14pt.   Then when the user reaches the character limit of the field, the font gets smaller as expected.   The question is, can that initial "default auto" size be defined and if so, how?   I attempted your idea. I want a fillable field that initially defaults at 36pt and reduces as necessary. I created a field with 36pt and set it as the default. I then created a new field (which defaulted ot 36pt) but then made the font size auto. Unfortunately, the "default auto" is still something like 14pt.   Other suggestions?     [Branched to new thread by moderator]

If I click "Select As Default PDF Handler Acrobat freezes How do I succesfully set Acrobat as default pdf handler?

Every time I open Adobe Acrobat DC, that pop up message shows up. I don't want nor need Adobe Pro. This wasn't happening a couple of days ago but now it suddenly does. I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it multiple times and it still does the same thing. The pop up comes out every time, when I click the red X, it gets frozen for a few seconds and it quits. I can't even read nor print PDFs, much less do anything else. I have attached screenshots of my MacOs system and laptop information as well as what I see when I open Adobe Acrobat DC. Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated. I hope Adobe is not trying to force us to buy and subscribe and that Acrobat DC will become useless and obsolete. Smh

My name is Mark and I canceled my Subscription with Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe turned around and Kept charging me $29.37 a Month and I need to Talk to someone At Adobe to Listen to me and Help me to get this straightened out. Whenever I open a new .pdf A window pops up asking if I want to set Adobe acrobat as my default .pdf application when it is already set as the default. I have checked to make sure it is set in preferences and that all the doc types are checked. What else is there to get this to stop happening? 

I have forms I'm creating and the automated form builder sets all the tool tips to match the field titles, but I need all the fields in the same column to have the same tooltip.  How do I change all the fields in the column to the same tooltip at once without having to go one by one idividually.   I'm using Acrobat Pro. No paid solutions please.Thank you.

I am creating forms in the form builder and am having to change the font type and size for every form because it keeps defaulting to Helvetica and Auto.  Because Im using the auto-detect feature, I can't do the trick where you create one field and set it to the font and size you want and mark that as default. And doing so in one document doesn't seem to keep that default for future documents anyway.  I've gone to Preferences>Content Editing and changed the font and size there but that didn't affect the fields.  Basically, how do I set the font type and size for the Field Detection feature in Prepare form?

I have been trying to fill out a form using the text boxes. When I input a text box, that same text box will duplicate to another page (sometimes multiple pages). When I delete the duplicate text box, it will delete the original one I created as well. I have confirmed that autofill is not activated. I am using Adobe Acrobat DC. I have noticed that a few of my other forms have changed format as well compared to how I previously saved them. I have not deleted and reinstalled the app as of yet.  Any ideas? Thank you!! 

Hello, I am having an issue with Adobe Acrobat Standard license when opening all PDF's. When I open the PDF's, I get the error in the attached image. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe twice, updating Windows, rolling back the version of Adobe to DC June 2024 (24.002.20857) from DC Jul 2024 (24.002.20933), SFC, DISM, checked compatibility settings on .exe of the app, turned off protection mode in Adobe. Nothing seems to pop up in event viewer or Process monitor. Mind you, clicking OK on this pop-up does not close the application and does allow the PDF to be edited normally. Any help would be much appreciated. The error if you can't see the picture is: Windows - Application ErrorThe instruction at 0x0000000071C80670 referenced memory at 0x0000000071C80670. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program.

I am currently trying to fill a large 200 pages pdf using the fill and sign feature on Adobe Acrobat. The pages that need filling are only about 25. From page 38 to page 65 of the pdf. The fill and sign feature works well, even auto-detecting the form fields and checkboxes and typed text appears as it should be and is editable. The issue I'm having is the created textboxes reappear randomly across other pages of the pdf and to add, not in fillable fields, just randomly elsewhere, and in different pages. For example if i fill in the text "Sunshine Corporated" into the field asking for the company name, which is actually needed on almost every one of the pages to be filled, that text box will spawn elsewhere in the document, severally. Even in pages before the one filled. And just randomly. Pg.2, 14, 52, 78, 121, 122, 180, for example. Not even in fillable fields. I'll just be scrolling through and finding textboxes I filled in the forms showing up in singularity in other place

I am trying to make the comment text larger in the comment pane in Acrobat since I find the default size too small. After some time working fine, Acrobat don´t open PDF files anymore. To solve this, I kill the acrobat process and It restart to open files normally. But It happens constantly and I have to kill the process several times on a day.It´s occour on Windows 11 version 24h2

I've been using this function for 2 years without any issues. All in a sudden now any time I want to combine pdf files the process never finishes. Can someone tell me why or what I need to do to fix this?

I have a multi-page pdf template and I need to insert QR codes that encode the version of the document and the page. The version will be in a form field, so I was looking to use Javascript to encode these QR codes. However I can't get the code to pick the page number. I also encountered this issue after the latest Acrobat. What helped me was repairing the installation from Help Repair Installation and clearing the temporary files in Acrobat. After that, the combine feature started working again.
