I am unable to save edit or export my pdf's today using adobe acrobat
I'm wanting to create an Guided Action that will extract a single page from (a large number of) multiple pdfs. I believe the Extract Page should be found under Pages or Document Processing in the Actions menu, but I don't see Extract Page any where. Is it no longer a part of Actions? Is there another way to automate this? Thanks!
Hi All, I have a question regarding the "comments pane". Is there a way to resize smaller like the bookmark pane? I can enlarge it by dragging the edge to the left side but when I drag to the right it will stop to a certain point. Thanks,Giovanni
Good morning,I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro on Windows 11 (Version 25.001.20997.0) and have been experiencing persistent performance issues for several months. The application is extremely slow to open, and nearly every action results in a “Not Responding” message. This occurs when clicking the menu icon, opening files, and even when attempting to print. In effect, the program becomes unresponsive during almost any basic operation.I have followed all recommended troubleshooting steps found in Adobe support materials and online tutorials, including uninstalling and reinstalling the application. Unfortunately, none of these actions have resolved the issue. As an example, this morning it took approximately one hour to open and print eight small PDF files.I would appreciate your assistance in identifying the cause of this issue and providing a permanent solution, as this level of performance is significantly impacting productivity.Thank you! Beverly
Apparently when I made my Adobe account I used my school email, but as a personal account. I couldn't figure out why I didn't have access to features (notably, being able to make a document OCR/searchable). My IT tech said logging in with school email --as school account-- should take me to our university's login and then I can access all the features via the school license. I get the login page, but my credentials don't work because that email is wrongly associated with a private account. How do I fix this? I am an educator/professor.
Hi! My company uses the Shared Review functionality in Adobe Acrobat, Version 2025.001.20997. One of our offsite colleagues connects to the network via VPN. When he clicks Publish Comments, the following message displays:mary_n_fingerlakes_0-1767989316691.pngHe clicks No and then the following mesage displays:mary_n_fingerlakes_1-1767989557332.pngHe is not sure how to handle these messages. My suspicion is that he should click Yes in the first dialog box since other reviewers may have the document open at the same time. Is there any way to avoid getting this message or is it standard when working in a shared review? I've read through some posts and found that VPN may cause issues with the shared reviews. I am not sure if that is what is happening here. Is this a known issue and if so, does anyone know of any workarounds? Any clarification or feedback would be very much appreicated. Thank you!
I am making a form with toggled check boxes. I see this stylish x on a lot of other forms but I am not about to find the font myself or replicate the same still with a check box. Please help. Check box.JPG
Windows 11 Acrobat Pro latest version. When I launch the app, it opens no problem, but within 10 seconds, the app freezes. It doesn't matter if it's just opening or I double click a PDF. I think Acrobat is trying to load something. After about half a minute or a little longer, the issue clears up and it's running like it should.Any ideas?
Hello, I purchased the subscription yesterday, my main goal is to protect the PDF file from being copied or converted back to PPP. so to protect it.I encrypted my file wit password and closed all options to copy/ edit/ print to be only with password.I tried to copy any text and it was not allowed, that's perfect. But I tried myself external website to convert the file from PDF into PPP and it is successfully converted the protected file from PDF to PPP. so this goal is not acheived. I see other people when secure their files, all external websites can't cover it to PPP and even te text is being like special chacters. how I can do it? thanks too much in advance
Hello,I am using Adobe Reader (the latest version) in the classic interface. I just switched to a WQHD+ Dell monitor and now the font is ridiculously tiny in the tool bar and menu items. I have Auto-Detect selected for "scale for screen resolution" and for "resolution" on the Page Display Preference Page, I have "Use system setting" selected. Please advise on how to resolve this issue.
Is it possible to download the list of people who signed a particular ragreement?
This is quite a desparate last ditch attempt to help one of my users who has been plagued with Adobe Acrobat issues since we switched their laptop. It's quite a varied array of issues and it's quite hard to summarise them all but I will try! We've had some issues related to some specific fonts (Effra for example), and editing some existing documents. Whenever you try to change numbers it will randomly become wingdings/symbols. Sometimes they will get an error when they try to save (Error 109 - will include screenshot) which is incredibly frustrating as they will complete a tremendous amount of work on a document, then not save itself and there's nothing they can do with it. I found a similar thread with the same error code, that suggested using Adobe cleaner so we used the Cloud cleaner, as well as the AcroCleaner - then re-installed and it has been exactly the same since.I also know it's not the document itself as when we send that exact document to a colleague, it works absolutel
We frequently fill out forms with text boxes and send them out to client's for e-signature. The text wraps to fit the box, and all text appears as one standard size prior to e-signing, however once is reaches the client (and when it comes back to us) alot of the text has shrunk to illegible levels, or just runs off the page, as though it has not wrapped! We have tried filling out the forms both inside and outside of adboe before sending for e-sign, it does not make a difference.
I use Acrobat Pro, which worked fine on my last laptop. When I got a new laptop in July 2025 and installed Adobe, I noticed that Acrobat wouldn't save my preferences and settings. I have to keep the app open to avoid resetting preferences each time I open a PDF. I am signed in, my avatar shows in the top right, I edit preferences for default view, I pin thumnails, collapse the tools menu on the right and I select to open additional pdf's in a new window instead of a separate tab. Of course the setting for opening additional pdf's in a new window requires that you close the app and restart, so I'm unable to apply that setting. I work with hundreds of PDFs daily, so constantly reapplying these settings severely reduces my efficiency and productivity. What would cause my preferences to not be saved upon closing the app? I have an HP Elitebook laptop, running Windows 11, 64bit. Creative Cloud installed the 64 bit version of Adobe.
This software can't be the best pdf editor around. This program is as lame as flash ever was. Whebn I try to index a folder full of documents, it take 1-2 days and when Its done there is no catalogue. It searched through all the documents and copuied them to a different folder, but created to catalogue. And now if I open one of the documents allegedly indexed, the only difference is it takes the edocument 5 minutes to open. There is no catalogfue and I can't tell if there even an index because if I clickinsert index or guided action I get nothing but a blank tool bar. And then there's the "not responding" message that acrobat displays for anything more complicated than reading a pdf. I've got 128 gigs of ram, 23% being used and 15% of CPU and this garbage app still can't seem to do anything without locking up. The more I use this garbqage app, the more I hate it. I'm, just going to down an old adobe version before subscription and cancel this subscription. I'm tired of paying

I posted a query about a bloated pdf, which was explained by the fact that I had edited it heavily. I've seen a number of posts about the same matter, to which the reply has been that pdfs must not be heavily edited. It has occurred to me that pdf-users ought to be informed of this fact. So far as I know Adobe never warns or informs pdf users or potential pdf users of any limitation on the capabiliity of pdfs to be edited. Stoothoff
Hello Team,I’m facing a consistent issue while converting PDF files to Word (DOCX) using Adobe Acrobat.Issue description:Many PDFs contain line-end hyphenated words (for example: techni- cal, inter- national).During PDF to Word conversion, all hyphens are merged, and the words are merged incorrectly. (for example: techni-cal, inter-national)This includes both visible hyphens and soft hyphens.Expected output should preserve the hyphen with a space (e.g., techni- cal).Environment details:OS: Windows 10Adobe Acrobat version: 25.001.20997Conversion method: Export PDF → Microsoft Word (.docx)What I’ve already tried:Multiple PDF files (scanned and digitally generated)Different export and OCR settingsOpening the PDF directly in Microsoft Word and saving as DOCXBatch conversionsThe issue occurs consistently, especially with scientific and academic PDFs, where preserving original hyphenation is critical for text accuracy.Request for guidance:Is there any Acrobat preference or advanced setting t
I've created forms that use the simple form field action of showing a hidden field on mouse up. It works when on a desktop/device using a mouse or touch pad mouse. I realized it was not working on a touchscreen (my phone) even when using the Adobe app. After internet research, I also added the on focus trigger. It's still not working. Everthing I've found online says this should work. I also tried on blur with no luck. What am I missing? Thank you for your help!
I frequently have to convert and combine multiple Word docs to pdf. Sometimes this is hundreds of Word docs at once so I can't be saving each individual one as a pdf first. The process is super slow taking hours to convert in Adobe and often the app will crash part way through wasting me hours of work time as I cannot do anything else involving PDFs in the meantime. My process is as follows:Download zip folder containing the Word docs Extract all docsHighlight and select all docsRight click Select "combine in Adobe"Wait for docs to appear in a list in Adobe Click "combine"Wait many hours Save as pdf Keep fingers crossed it doesn't crash I'm currently combing 384 pages and have been waiting over an hour. It's only converted 171 files at this point. Is there any way to speed this up and ensure the app does not crash?
Hi all. I have been using adobe sign for almost two years now at my work, regularly uploading all sorts of files - pdf, xlsx, doc, ppt, etc for signatures. I've never had an issue, no matter how many files or the mix / combinatin of files that I've uploaded. Now back to work after the holidays, and none of us at work are able to choose any file that isn't already a pdf because adobe is saying that it's having trouble converting the files to pdf. What the hell is going on?? I don't have time to open every document one by one and re-save them as pdf. This is affecting multiple departments at our company.
We noticed an issue. When you open a PDF in MS Teams (Adobe Acrobat Teams app is installed) it's opened in Teams with th Adobe Teams app. In here you can choose to open de file in the Desktop app. This will open Acrobat but shows an "error" that there is no SharePoint connctor and you have to add one. However, when your in your files within Teams and click on the 3 dots behind a pdf file and choose directly for 'open in desktop app' it works just fine without the need of an SP connector. Is this fixable? We use the latest versions of all Adobe app (in Teams and desktop).
I have a paid subscription - Adobe Acrobat Pro with two licenses. When I try to open a PDF on one of my computers that I had the Pro on, but since logged out of Pro on that computer, I almost immediately get an error message and the PDF closes, and I have to log in to Pro in order to open it. Why is this? Anhy solution?
In editing the 700KB PDF I replaced many of the fonts, and many, many subsets of the new fonts were embedded in the revised PDF. So now the list of embedded fonts in it is huge, some subsets being duplicated or even triplicated with different encodings, and some fonts not used at all in the file (e.g. sans serif fonts) as well as the font that I replaced in editing the file also appear in the list,. I've made screenshots of this huge list of fonts, which I would attach to this post if that could be done. I'm attaching a folder containing screenshots of the list of fonts in the Properties of thefileApart from the fact that the file is now bloated because of the embedded fonts, it has also been deemed unacceptable for POD publishing by Ingram Spark because its list of fonts includes AS USED BUT NOT EMBEDDED fonts which in fact are not used in it. I wonder if anyone has ever encountered this sort of problem.
Running Acrobat Pro on Windows 11. I am trying to modify the Adobe PDF Conversion Settings in the Adobe PDF Printing Preferences dialog box. The selection boxes to the right of the four options for Default Settings, Adobe PDF Security, Adobe PDF Output Folder, and Adobe PDF Page Size all are missing on the right side of the box. See below screnshots for what i would expect to see and then what I am seeing. Screenshot 2026-01-06 021907.pngScreenshot 2026-01-06 012441.png
