Questions

When I select "Edit PDF" and then select "Add Text" and then try to click in a blank space on the page, the entire page or an editable section is selected instead.  It's like the "Edit" is turned on instead of the "Add Text" button.  I used to be able to click anywhere on the page and add my text.  I make notes on all my PDF files that I save (like date and phone call made, date and email text, if a medical claim, how much I paid along with date and how I paid the bill).I've found the only way to add new text is to try to find a blank area, type new next and then drag and drop that text box to the location I want it.  Or if I had previously added text, I can copy and past that text box and move it to where I need a new text box and overwrite the text.Why is the sytem thinking I still want to Edit and not just add new text?I added a screenshot where you can see that "Add Text is highlighted.  I wanted to add a new text below my note of how I paid on 10.17.23, bu

I'm using Acrobat 2020 and Windows 10..This Adobe help page says I can apply strikethough to text as follows:Use the Select text tool to select the text you want to mark up. But I don't have a Select text tool. I have an Edit PDF tool, When I select that it allows me to select the text I want to edit. From the markup toolbar that appears, take one of the following actions as desired:But I don't get a toolbar called "markup" when I select Edit PDF. Lost PC to lightning (along with a multitude of other items!) and need help on reinstall of Acrobat Pro. I have serial number but do not remember version and cannot find disk. Saved "install file" tries to add newer version and serial number does not allow. Ideas are appreciated.

I am having constant issues with Adobe Acrobat saying "An internal error occured" everytime I scroll through your files or try to open something. It keeps making my file explorer go unresponsive and not sure how to fix this.

Hi again -- This is a follow-up question to my post from last week, Re: Customizing Tooltips in Adobe Acrobat Pro.  @Tariq Ahmad gave me some great tips on how to customize my tooltips by turning my Adobe Acrobat Pro PDF into a form. As suggested, I created buttons to make my images and text interactive, so that when the user clicks these buttons, a corresponding document opens on our website.  When I click a button, the background color of the images and the text distort (see attached example) briefly and then the corresponding document opens successfully.  I don't want the background color of my images and text to change when the mouse is clicked. Are there any button properties I can modify to solve this issue? I've attached my draft form.  Thank you in advance.

Hi all, I have the following problem. I have used the AI Assistant in Adobe Acrobat for several documents and generated a longer chat history. Now I have switched to another laptop and can no longer restore the chat histories, although I have saved the document again in the cloud. The help function states that you can access the conversation histories across sessions and the document opens as before and contains the complete chat history and all associated follow-up questions. However, this is not the case for me. So how can I access the chat history again?    

Hi all, There seems to be an issue with the commenting feature for the online PDF files. Previously, I was able to generate a link from wtv adobe software i was working on, share the link, and whoever that can access it can comment on it. Since last week, I've not been able to mark my comment or pinned my pin at a particular spot at the online PDF link. And there seems to be a change in the layout where there is this black banner showing up at the bottom?Calling out for help if anyone has any idea on how to solve the issueblack bottom banner layout on the right, pin is still there but it doesnt work when you pin the comments over to the PDF 

We do not consent to giving access to our pdf contents to the generative AI beta. How do we disable this feature as an organization? How did anyone think this was a good idea, especially considering pdf files commonly contain tax, banking, and medical information?  I am interested in joining any upcoming privacy lawsuits.

I need to use this tool and it's not working.

When I hit delete more than once in a row (to edit text), the application crashes every time. 

I am guessing this file contains unsaved redactions after Acrobatc crashed recently (not sure). i don't want to lose my redactions. If I continue to edit, the message persists. Is there a way to make it go away (turn it off)? Or just "apply"? (I did that, and I lost only two redactions, so pehraps all is well.) Never had this occur before.  Tx

Adobe Acrobat does not display field values when the document contains XFA. The field values of the attached document are successfully shown in Firefox and Chrome.

Ich habe nun schon X mal meine Zahlungsdaten neu angegeben und Adobe bucht auch feucht fröhlich weiter ab... scheint ja also zu gehen... aber warum kann ich nicht kündigen?Einfach eine Frechheit!

PDF mail merge is not available on the version of Microsoft Office Word for MAC.  It is also not available on Pages.  Is there a solution?   Thanks 

Adobe Acrobat opens every time I export a PDF from an MS Office app on Mac OS. I don't want it to do this. It never used to do this. And there is no option to turn it off. Does anyone have a resolution or am I going to have to find an alternative to Adobe? 

Nach Neuinstallation lässt sich Acorbat XI Pro nicht mehr installieren, da das Programm keine Verbindung mehr mit dem Aktivierungsserver von Adobe herstellen kann. Kundendienst hat Korrektheit der Seriennummer und Aktivierungsfreigabe bestätigt, kann aber auch nicht weiterhelfen, da das Programm vor 9 Jahren gekauft wurde. Wer kann weiterhelfen. 

I can`t type in the "@" of my mail address into the login field. I also can´t copy it from somewhere else and then paste it.I can do so and regularly log in to the cloud via my browser.I updated, reinstalled, but nothing has worked so far.Please help!

Since the update I have not been able to copy and paste text from PDFs, it creates large boxes all around the page and on top of each other, almost like its recognizing everything as images. As a work around I tried printing the PDF to Adobe PDF and at first I thought it was finally recognizing text but then it translated the characters like below.             (that is supposed to be the word sustainable)Has anyone else been having this issue?

  The standard insert signature button is not working on Mac OS. The device has the latest updates (Acrobat is also updated). When it is pressed, nothing happens. On Windows, with the same license account, everything works as expected.  Expected behavior: to show a dropdown with signatures and scans of signatures as on Windows, or to show the possibility to add a new signature.
