RoboHelp

I am not a RoboHelp user but follow the forum because of my work with FrameMaker and XML. Is it possible to export RoboHelp content to XML? Is RoboHelp based on XHTML? Thank you.

In editiing an index I cross-referenced names using 'See also'. In later indexing this feature no longer applied because the second name had been removed however 'See also' against the 1st name remains and I just cannot remove it. When I try InDesign just crashes!

Hi,I have added a title to my output preset, but it disappears in the search results in my frameless output. In the screen below, the help added as a title via my output preset disappears in the search results, as shown in the second screen. Had a very strange problem start today. I do this 3 times, for 3 languages.modify, compile and launch view examplefor one of the three project, the modifications are not shown, the two others are ok.generate options are identic, path also...even if I erase the old target file, it is still showing a wrong result.if added a printscreen with the source and the result.I'm baffledbr Olivier

I am following the steps mentioned in article: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/robohelp/using/publish-salesforce.htmlUsing my RH I am able to create a profile, log in to SF, and even on the SF backend the admin could confirm that I am able to login via RH.However, for some reason the highlighted details are not getting populated:Any idea what may be failing? Is there any specific access needed? I have the knowledge manager access on SF side.

Currently, the merge project in the latest version of RoboHelp includes 13 child projects with its parent project. Of the 13 child projects, 12 are comprised of chapters and sections, while the remaining child project is dedicated to forms. The forms have been integrated into the chapters and sections throughout the project. It seems that there is an issue with the search functionality, as it does not allow for searching within each individual project. For instance, when attempting to search for a specific form, such as a 'Bond' form, the search results display everythign containing the word 'Bond' rather than specifically isolating the desired form.

When I start Robohelp I get a message saying that I only have 6 more days on my license?  What?  My subscription uses a credit card that doesn't expire for quite a while.  Why would this quit working?  I have two other Adobe subscriptions which are working fine with the same credit card.  Just for fun I changed the credit card but I am still getting this message.  The nice Indian lady I spoke with at Adobe today couldn't explain the problem but said it might go away in a couple days.  Just wondering if anyone else has this issue just with Robohelp.   

How to add diff page numbers for ToC and actual content in PDF in Robohelp?

As per title, I do not want the cover page to be considered a countable page, so my first content page restarts the page numbering, but I don't see an option anywhere in the template settings (or on Peter's site) to make the template account for this, so my last page footer now says "Page 11 of 12". Can I adapt this somehow, or is the solution to remove the total count?

I am unable to get my customer css topic layout to output to word correctly. This is my HTML output showing the correct layout using the css and this is how it outputs to word. The current version I am using is 2022.05.28.    

Hi I'm using Robohelp 2022. I added a keyword to an existing index. Then Iadded a one page topic and two topics that were bookmarks inside a differentpage. I then generated the .chm file. under Microsoft HTML Help.  Next, I opened the .chm file, went into theindex and double clicked on the keyword. It showed a popup list with threeitems. The three items had the same name so I could not tell which topic they goto unless I duble clicked on the individual items to see what they are.I went back in author mode and edited the topicproperties under the index keyword and it had no effect on the name that showedup in the popup list. How can I change the names in the popup list? Here is the topic popup list in qustion.  

Built a project using conditional output to seperate framless output and pdf output content. I built a conditonal expressions using my conditional tags and everything works great with the exception of the mini tocs located in topics with bookmarks. My mini tocs are still showing up in my frameless output despite conditional expressions and tags applied. NOTE: Other content in the topics assigned the same conditional tags is excluded in the output correctly (see screenshots).

Has anyone used the translation feature with OpenAI via the Custom Provider API option? I am getting feedback that Microsoft Tranlsator is not doing a good job and I would like to use OpenAI/ChatGPT.

I am in the process of migrating to RH 2022. The automatic conversion of project file from 2019 to RH 2022 failed. We had old files that were corrupted as well as a large amount of images. After several attempts by me and Adobe support engineers we could not get the project to compile. The output required is CHM. The Adobe team recommended to migrate files by importing the project files/folders manually. This has worked so far until I had to import HTML files that were created from MS Word.  These files have mso styles, which I think are inherited from the orginal word document. The outputs do not reflect the new css I have created, but the mso files that were included as baggage.   I discovered that I can manually delete those styles from the topic from the developer view. The mso styles usually add anywhere to 1000 to 3000 lines to the HTML code! I think it may be best to clean these HTML files before importing them. Manually deleting all these lines from eac

I’d like to reuse the same tag definitions and conditions in another project without recreating them manually.Controlling Search Filters and Structure Visibility:Specifically, I’d like some topics (such as a landing page or portal page) to appear clean and full-width — without the left TOC panel, search box, or filters — while other topics should display the standard navigation structure with search and filters visible.In other words, depending on the requirement, I’d like certain topics to open directly (standalone view), while others open with the regular navigation and panels visible.Is there a built-in way to do this, or a possible workaround?Thanks in advance for any guidance or examples!

I recently upgraded a project from RH 2017 to RH 2022. Most things seemed to migrate fine. I just discovered, however, that some of my topics aren't included in my Responsive HTML5 output. And some of the new files I create also aren't included in the output. I could really use some help.  Some information: The missing files are all in the TOC, with the "Hide in online output" property plus a condition (as a visual, color-coded reminder). The output preset uses the correct TOC, and I don't specify a TOC-level topic layout. The individual topics use one of three different topic layouts. The missing files are quite simple, one-paragraph files without any page-level condition tags that would exclude them from the output. The files that aren't included are in a specific subfolder (which contains files called as context-sensitive help and that all use a specific topic layout ("csh-layout")). I'm seeing I'll need to build or hunt for files with Table Styles to be imported - are there no prebuilt table styles to start with that can be modified?  Thus far the free template table styles seem to be built for much more 'minimist flash' than a more basic setup.     Am I thinking it may be easier to do a high res, blown up screenshot from MS Word instead of trying to fuss with getting a table to be somewhat similar?  

I recently created and generated PDF Output in my robohelp project. I got the TOC going for the PDF, but when I generate the Output for the PDF, only the "Sections" or "Books" appear in the TOC and *not the "Pages" when I view the Output. How do I get the "Pages" or "Topics" that are in my TOC to appear as well?

I have been successfully generating PDFs from Adobe Robohelp for several months now. Last week, Acrobat updated to the latest version, and now I'm receiving the following error generating a PDF.
