Solved

The following has been tested on both Windows11 24H2 and macOS 26's latest LrC build(14.5.1), and also for both external and internal drive to store the catalog. My catalog is somehow big, 60GB, but not too big. I find that LrC keeps failing for backing up the catalog. After a track, I find that it successfully copied the catalog. But when zipping the catalog, it will fail and says that it may be disk space or permission issue. But I tracked that at the time it fails, there's still plenty free disk space, and right before error, the partial zip file created has a size of just slightly smaller than the unzipped files, meaning that zipping seems to just to be succeeded but somehow runs into an error. So currently I have to fall back to manually copying and zipping backups, but not let LrC one-click do this.Because catalog optimization happens after a successful backup if not manually triggered, I have to manually issue catalog optimization. And it was when I find another bug. Unlike an er

I have had an ongoing issue for over a month. When I go to convert my InDesign files to pdf, it does not do anything. It is just sitting there doing nothing. Then when I try to close the file, it tells me it can not close because of a background task, etc. I have had to continuously go to task manager to shut down InDesign. This is really a problem for me. I am using Adobe InDesign 2025

I don't know what its English name is.So I often can't find it.Perhaps it should be called TextFrameOptions. https://www.indesignjs.de/extendscriptAPI/indesign-latest/#ObjectStyle.htmlIn the English version ID, is what I see on the interface the same as the name in ExtendScript? Perhaps it's here? But I'm not sure which one.https://www.indesignjs.de/extendscriptAPI/indesign-latest/#ChangeObjectPreference.html

Hi all, I am not sure for the following noob question. If I open up some raw photos in lightroom or photoshop, it will use the prophoto colour space for preview, if my monitor is calibrated to the Adobe RGB profile and I export the JPG with ARGB profile tagged to it, it will view perfectly on a normal sRGB monitor as it knows that the values are for ARGB, so the new device reads the ICC profile and knows how to display it correctly on a sRGB (via some internal conversion?) and that the issue of colour mismatch some online forums are talking are simply a result of not tagging an ARGB image with a profile so the untagged image will have the value directly interpreted in an sRGB space and thus colour shifts? or if I intended to put it on web or share to friends most of the time I should alwasy just export it in sRGB profile?

Hi, I am trying to create a PDF cost to employer calculation form. I have calculated the employer's pension contribution, but I am stuck on calculating the NI employer's contribution and how to set this up. So I guess a kind of IF statement or equivalent e.g. So I currently have (annualsalary) field and then a sub field called (annualsalaryNI) which is hidden where I have deducted the first £9,100 from the annual salary field which is currently exempt from NI contributions then anything else from this which then  exceeds £9,100 needs to be multiplied by 13.8%. Can anyone help at all? ThanksJ

Hi I can't get the path blur blue arrow to appear. I've quit it, uninstalled it, tried it on a variety of files and nada. I'm on a mac 10.12.4 and PS is 2017.1.0 The computer is less than a year old.Oddly enough the tools seem to blur the image somewhat, it's that I am blind in doing so. Also the cursor seems to stick on one that looks like a pin. Thanks for any help Chuck Dykeman

I need to cover up specific content in a document with a blank box, and then export the PDF without being able to see the content under the box. Right now I can open the PDF in Acrobat and delete the blank box and the content is still there underneath. This even happens when I export with the Acrobat 4 with PDF/X-1a:2001 settings.  Is there any way to do that?  I know can put the content on a layer and delete the layer before exporting, but that's a very impractical solution. I would prefer to just export what is visible in the document.

I've been asking ChatGPT best way to edit 369 files. I explained I used to in photoshop, but that I've seen photoshop did away with the 3D tab. Chat GPT said Creative Cloud used let's you install older versions of photoshop, but only the last few, each year. It also said it thinks Asobe no longer goes back far enough to versions of OS that allow 3D editing.  Is that true? Does owning photoshop not let you go far back enough to versions that had 3D? Thanks.

Hii would like to run a script to highlight the text variables frame just so that when i am working in the file i can see what is a variable and share with the client on what variable text that have in the file.I know i can do it as a character style as below, (i have used orange to highlight the variable tex) but i really want to just highlight the box that the varible is within. Note not the text frame itself the actual variable frame that indesign adds pctured inside the text frame below. Please can anyone help with this

Hello, On my new computer, also using Windows 11, the toolbars are really really small.I tried increasing the display magnification to the maximum (300% from the recommended 200%), which made a little difference. Changing the screen resolution didn't help.  How can make the toolbars big enough to read?

Issue Since the latest update of Premiere there has been a major performance change in editing while listening to audio in a sequence. Problem Summary: When a sequence is playing, any edit to the audio in any place on the sequence, causes a drop in playback for about 1 second. This is a new issue not present before the 2024 timeline visual update.Details: When cutting audio quickly, I have the timeline playing and I'm editing out junk ahead of the playhead. Previously this allowed me to quickly clean up a recording and check my work simultaniously. However now, EVERY edit, be it a cut, or a drag on the edge of the audio clips, causes audio playback to drop out for about 1 second. I make so many edits that I cant even hear what's being said due to 90% of the playback being dropped out. Its really slowing down my audio clean up workflow. Imagine cutting before and after a breath, then adding 2 cross fades. That results in about 4 seconds of missed audio playback. What I ha
