Except AI normal map I mean. Once AI is done it looks like much more convenient to mix materials in Painter . More options with filters and ancors . Painter works less clunky. Cool brushes to tweak height blend etc. Am I missing something? Wonder could I export AI layer as sbsar and use it in Painter? Will it work?
I'm going through a tutorial on Substance Alchemist. In it he is showing how to use an imput image to create a color pallet. Has that been removed? Or changed to work some other way? I looked through the various layer tools but didn't see anything that seemed like it would do the same thing.
Hello, I imported a PNG file in Substance Sampler, that was created as a vector file in Illustrator. The file was added as an image to bitmap, with a base material in the layer. When I add the embroidery layer, the image shows up, but as a grey shape. The threads or the color is not showing up. Does anyone know why this is happening? Attached is a screenshot of the grey shape, but it's supposed to be red/white/blue and with thread. I also attached the PNG file that I exported from Illustrator. Thank you
Hello dear devs! I know this had been asked many times, but i wanna ask if adding a custom mesh will be a feature any time soon? because i want to know how to look, as example, my tire, but it's pretty hard to understand it on cube or cylinder, because i got my own UV. Thank you
All of a sudden Sampler will not launch, from Creative Cloud or from the start menu. Painter & Designer will launch. Hello there ,sampler became very slow after sunden .Ive tried to remove / rename appdata folder to see if that will change anything but its still same . I got newest drivers from nvdia , my GPU is set main processing unit . Thanks .

Below is the log. I can see the installer creating the folders in \adobetemp and populating them with no problem. My Substance Sampler (purchased through Steam) is all of a sudden incredibly sluggish and slow. Almost impossible to use. I've attached the Log file, and hope someone can spot what is wrong!And also another issue i would love to get fixed!I can't delete materials or images imported into my library. I choose "Delete", and get the warning that it'll delete the original file on the disk, but nothing happens. Hope to get help soon, as we're using it for production.Thanks! 😉
When I change the main resolution of my material in Sampler, the normal to height filter produces a very different height map. At 512p, the height map is very dark. At 4k, it's much brighter (very much). I use this height map in a water level effect, so the final result of the material is completely different when I switch to another resolution.

Hello everuone! I'm pretty new to 3D Sampler, but I've noticed while messing around with some textures that these weird jagged lines appear. As I'm jsut practicing this is a free texture that I've used before in other programs so I know it's not an issue with the maps themselves (plus it happens with every photo I try). I'm hoping there's a way to fix it.
So I spend absolutely ages in Krita/Photshop making textures seamless on a highly detailed level and when I use B2M mode - totally fine but when using AI mode I get hard seams. Will this be eventually be addressed or anyone know if there is a pro level work around and also it would be nice to know why it does what it does. Is it the height/normal Ai map effecting the seamlessness. Thanks in advance 🙂

Hello, I'm trying to toggle between my 2D and 3D windows, but I'm having trouble.For one, the pop up that says "2D View" or "3D View" is very big. It covers the little symbol that I need to click on to make my window 2D or 3D views. Second, I can't change or add my 2D window at all.I also have Sampler on my personal computer, and it works fine. I attached a screenshot of the issue. Does anyone else have this issue, and what did you do to fix it? Thank you!

HelloI have textures (vegetation: bark, leaves etc. of Xfrog origin) which are not square and which do not respect the size power 2 (256 512 1024 etc. on at least one dimension ... (for example 437 x1024)Is it possible to create in sampler (with Btm) the textures that I am missing (normal displacement ao) in the same format as the basecolor map I have?(I would not remap all existing complex geometry) Thank in advanceJean-Luc
I've tried several times to export a simple leather .sbsar material for use in C4D. I watch the progress bar in Sampler. It creates the folder but no files are created inside. What am I doing wrong?
In the help files it mentions something about exporting materials or 'collections'. I can't find anything about collections at all. But the question is, I have 4 materials in a project and want to export them all at once. How do I do that? Thanks - Aten
I magnified the texture I made in Designer 3 times. When I get 1k output from Substance Alchemist, it's 8k output. This is the correct one. When I take a substance sampler, it outputs 1k if it is 1k. Please help 😕😕
Hello there! In our company we have been implementing a pipeline with Substance 3D Sampler as the core for the creation of materials and for some weeks now we have been spontanously losing work. Here you have a following of the events that usually cause this problem:We create a material that works as a base for a terrain/road/whatever.We copy and rename the material to create a new version to have varition.We do the modificatins to gain the variation (different random seeds, twicking of the parameters, etc) and we save the document .ssa. When reopening the document, the work on the new variations disapears, with the layers no longer in the document and everything ereased (except the render previsualization in the project tab). This has happened a handfull of times now and we are starting to grow some concern on the work time lost due to this issue. For now we will be saving multiple version but we hope that this problem is resolved in the future,
Just realised these forums break the default browser spell checking and no way I can see to edit my previous post with all the spelling errors so sorry about that. Finally figured it out if anyone else runs into this, the instructions on Custom Filters | Substance 3D Sampler (adobe.com) say to do the following. Which is what I did however by default that does nothing because unless you reference material_input somewhere it won't get exposed and therefore wont expose the material slots.You need to reference it for it to start working so I ended up doing this.For Material1 group I explicitly set the visibility to false as a reminder because Material1 refers to the Material in the stack below the filter so that's where you put your base material then the filter on top. You can then reference that base material through all the custom inputs you have added.Then for the additional slots where I want to be able to add materials into the filter I a
