Version: Photoshop Beta 28.0.1 (20261026.m.3727)OS: Windows 11 (build 26300.9711)Steps:1. Any layer → Add layer mask → select the mask.2. Gradient tool, Radial, black to white → drag on the mask (don't commit).3. Brush (black) → paint a stroke on the mask.4. Gradient tool again → drag the gradient's center point.Result: the brush stroke from step 3 disappears.Expected: the stroke stays on the mask.The same happens with any change to the live gradient's settings, not only moving the center point: dragging color stops or midpoints, changing stop opacity, etc. The brush work on the mask gets reverted every time.VIDEO  

The "Export As" window is glitching, which sometimes makes it go behind Photoshop. Additionally, its size does not stay adjusted as usual and it is always smaller. I have to resize it every time I open the program and use the "Export As" function.Another problem is that the file preview is pixelated, which does not happen in the regular version. This started in this last beta update; it didn't have this problem before. Furthermore, the image only looks good if I set the zoom to 100%. However, I cannot see the full image with good quality like before because it goes past the borders. Trying to expand an image of a piano keyboard, so selected the empty area to fill and clicked Generate without a prompt so it would use the image as a basis, The progress bar popped up and moved along and then nothing - no error, no fill, no change. I checked that the image layer was selected and repeated but same (non-) outcome.

Issue: Layer masks are very broken and have been for many weeks.Photoshop version: 28.01. OS: Mac Tahoe 26.3Steps to reproduce:Create a mask on a layer Try to use black or white to hide or reveal the mask It doesn’’t work most of the time Expected result: You create a mask then use black and white to hide or reveal that layer. Actual result: Ive been using photoshop for 15+ years and this has always worked the same until recently. Now using black or white to paint on the mask barely ever works. If it does it’s only randomly after messing with all the settings. Then it will randomly stop working or will glitch and no mater whether you are using black or white it will reveal the mask. So it’s wildly broken and I can’t even find a work around it simply randomly decides when it wants to work or not and how. This is THE primary tool I use for my work and its so broken it’s been causing me great stress. please fix asap. there are several other posts about this but sinces none of them have be

The brush tool is not working when painting on a layer mask. Opacity, blend mode, brush setting, color (black/white) all normal. I either have to change tools, change layers or make some other change to get it to start working again. Totally random which “fix” will get the tool working again.Also, when in Quick mask mode, a black or white brush will paint white. Again, all settings “normal”.Running 28.01 Beta. M4 Max OS Golden State v. 27.2

When I am brushing in or out on a masked layer, after one or two switches between black and white, it stops switching and I can only brush in or out. It makes it impossible to use masking on my layers.  It doesn’t happen every time, but probably about 75% of the time.

Bonjour, J’utilise Photoshop Beta dernière version et il y a un bug récurrent très pénible avec le pinceau. Quand j’utilise le pinceau en blanc ou noir sur mes masques de fusion, Photoshop bloque sur une des couleurs ( blanc ou noir ) et ne peint qu’avec cette couleur là. J’ai beau réinitialiser les couleurs, switcher ou changement manuellement dans le nuancier avec valeurs aléatoires, ça peint toujours la même couleur. Par exemple, quand je suis en noir pour masquer, bah il continue de peindre en blanc qu’importe ce que je fais. Et des fois c’est le même problème quand j’essaye de peindre en noir.  Merci et à dispo !

When trying to save a file in Photoshop Beta (28.0.1) on Mac. The program freezes up and becomes unresponsive. Things to note are below:The top menu works, but everything is greyed out. I have to force quit the program, as it won’t quit via the menu or by right-clicking the icon. It doesn’t save the file.

i am trying to make a depth map. I followed tutorials to use Neural filters and download the beta depth filter. It does not show me the sliders and options at all and outputs a result that i have no control over. I quit the program all the way out and out of the background to restart, then i cleared my cache and redownloaded it and restarted it, and still- no sliders or options appear that allow me to adjust the output.

In PS 28.01 there appears to be a minor issue in how the color channels are displayed in both Levels and Curves layers in their new layout; RGB displays correctly as a multi colored circle, the red channel is displayed as a blue circle, green is correct as a green circle and the blue channel is displayed as a magenta circle. I'm seeing this on a Win 11 PC, I dont know if its a Mac problem too?This just appears to be an icon display issue as the channels are in their usual order

Remembering that this issue ONLY affects photoshop beta not the standard version. When you click the brush tool , remove tool, clone tool (to a point) the cursor goes off at 45 degrees! I have checked on the web about this issue with no answer to this, or more importantly how to correct it. When using the clone tool holding the shift key to set the target clone it works fine on that selection, but again when trying to paint it shoots off 45 degrees. I have un-installed & re-installed, no difference. The mouse is active & working, it’s just when I click to paint etc? Been through the setting on the web to no avail. looked at mouse setting on the pc, but that can’t be the issue as everything else works including standard photoshop and lightroom  I don’t know of anything else to try. I cannot use the arrow keys to move a point in the curves dialog box. We used to be able to select a point on the curve and move it using the arrow keys. PS Beta 28.1M4 MaxOS Tahoe 26.5.1

 photoshop and photoshop beta will not load selected layers from Lightroom (edit in, open as layers in photoshop). photoshop opens, but application is not responding. This was working last night, but not today. have restarted, troubleshooted, etc.

Hello, currently in PS BETA version (macOS 27.2). Shapes and solid color don't work correctly, in "ADOBE RGB (1998)" color mode, copying some colors as a HEX code doesn't work, or when I have Solid Color, before when I had a color and wanted to change it from my saved colors in the swatch, it was a simple solution, I simply clicked on a square from the swatch with the eyedropper and it was immediately colored, now it doesn't work, and as I wrote, I have some colors saved for which the RGB color code is not displayed to me like earlier. Never had a problem with it until now since the new version.
