You have the right tool - you need to turn your adjustment layer into a clipping mask. In the Properties panel you can click on the weird little icon or you can right click on the adjustment layer and choose make clipping mask.

Ok - you have a little "gotchya" in there. In your screenshot at tthe top of the layers panel next to kind - you have the first icon selected and the little red dot is at the top and red. Your layers panel is filtering your layers and only showing you image layers so you can't actually see your adjustment layers. You need to turn that thing off - and never use it again! I hate it - I never use it for this exact reason - I'll forget and it will hide my layers. Let me know if it fixes it...

You have your text wrap set to invert. Select the object, Go to the Object dropdown menu > text wrap > text wrap options and uncheck invert.

Adjustments tab - do you mean the drop down? You can't do it that way - it's destructive from the drop down menu and keyboard shortcut. You can use the adjustments panel to create a new Hue/Saturation adjusment Layer or use the icon at the bottom of the layers menu to create it. Yes: y Yes : No

I have the same behavior. The type settings have always been sticky - meaning they stay the same until you change them again. I'm now getting Myriad Pro 48 pts as a starting default. ' Kevin - I closed my files and opened the character panel. I was set to Arial 150 - the last one I used. When I opened a new document, it kept the Arial, but I watched it switch to 48pts. Very strange behavior.

When painting, are you smudging? Maybe in a new layer and have all layers selected and are accidentally painting some of the other layer into the new layer? Can we see a screen shot of your whole screen, including layers?

There is no magic button that will do this for you. You can create your brush strokes and add bevel and emboss layer style. Play with texture to make it look like canvas. Here is a sample I was playing with - I used the smudge tool on a new layer, use different layers for the effect, add texture.

I like to use my libraries to organize my brushes. It's super simple and you just click on the brush you want to use. If you open the brushes window, you can drag and drop them from there, but only one at at time (which does get tedious). Unfortunately for me, today I'm getting an error trying this - but I persisted and it finally worked. Don't know what the fussy error was all about.

I do this with an action for my digital scrapbooking pages. I create pages that are 12" x 24" and then crop one side to 12x12, undo and crop the other side to 12x12. Each time I save the cropped version as a copy. Your image must be set up like didiermazier said - 16/10 ratio. Using your crop tool, set it to 8x10, place it on the left side. Crop. Save a copy. Undo, repeat on right side. If you have a bunch, turn it into an action.

You need to open your Creative Cloud Files folder in Bridge, on a mac, just drag and drop the foler onto Bridge to see it. You can also navagte to the location in the Files tab to open it in Bridge. I was able to open a file from my cloud files via Bridge into PS and then drag and drop another into it via Bridge. So the answer is yes, you should be able to do this.

Do you have collections with images synced from LR? Turn off sync from the collections and any other images that are synced in LRC. This should stop any syncing from Classic to LR. Are you starting fresh with LR? How many photos do you have in there?

You are posting in the Lightroom forum. It wouldn't make much sense to use Lightroom for a month and then not use it. It clearly says it's not a monthly plan, you just pay monthly for annual plan.

You need a better explanation and screenshots for what you are experiencing. We can't figure it out with you have posted. What tools are you using, what is the expected behavior and what are you actually experiencing? Can you post screenshots with the entire screen - selected tool, layers, etc.

PS remembers the last tool you used. Whatever tool have selected when you quit is the tool that will be selected when you open. If you had panel open, they will also be open and in the same place. If you want to start fresh each time, set up or reset your workspace. Have the panels open and placed where you want them, the tool selected you want to start with and save the workspace. I actually really like the properties panel. There is one in Illustrator and InDesign as well. You can set up all 3 apps to have the same / simlar interface. Makes it much easier for beginner to learn all 3. It does take a minute to get used to it all for us old timers :).

I don't use the options bar for type anymore. Just ignore it. As long as it's the correct size... I make type, immediately switch to my move tool and then change the properties in the properties panel if I have a few settings or the context bar if it's just the font and size. I teach my students to do it the same way. Using the options bar is potentially prone to messing any type you may have created previously.

There is a check mark in your screenshot in the options bar - what happens when when you click it (it should all update to 150) and your layer should be named with your text. You haven't "finished". When you enter numbers into a box, you want to hit the tab key. This will apply the numbers and move your curor to the next box. You can also change the text attributes with just the layer selected and your move tool as the active tool - using the properties panel or the context bar.

You should be able to change the size in any one of thos areas it should stick. Makes no sense that you have to change it in each one. Can you share a screenshot with your text layer selected your type tool as the active tool and all 3 areas visible - properties panel, options bar and contextual task bar...
