Have multitrack templates disappeared from Audition? I used to be able to select a podcast template but there aren't any templates at all available any more (I'm using a Mac and Audition v 13.0... but templates were also missing on other recent versions).

Does the Adobe Audition 3.0 not support the 64bit VST-s?

I've just experienced a curious problem with auto creation of .mp3 tracks from a .wav master recording. The recording had been given cue marks to define 11 tracks. Four of the tracks (1005,1006,1010 & 1011) auto created in .mp3 format (using the merge/export tools) were not from that recording but from previous recordings located in other folders of different dates but with files of the same idents as the new ones. It's a weekly production which needs to output 1001 - 1011 and has worked accurately until now.  Any ideas why this week's problem? .. and how to avoid? Meantime I'm going to archive previous recordings so that they can't get used again.Alan from Shrewsbury

Hello everybody! Beginner audio magician here, i just got the program a couple days ago, so explain like im five please.I have been trying to recreate a sound effect for a while now in other editors like Premiere Pro ( i know, not an audio focused program, but you can do some stuff in there too). With my limited audio knowledge it sounds like the audio waves are edited in a way that they move dramatically to low tone and high tone to create this " wavy" effect. Can somebody help me out please ? How to recreate it? Or just tell me the name of the effect?Thank you very much in advance!

 I've been looking for a better way to automate ducking and use a technique favoured by sound engineers where they “filter” the music to make the voice over stand out. I’m going to call it Deft Ducking( for digitally enabled frequency tunneling ) Basically, sound engineers, instead of just lowering the music track, add a parametric equaliser is to the music track and adjust to make a “hole” in the frequency spectrum where the human voice has it’s most power.This “hole” frequency will be different for a male and female voice. In older versions of Audition, before there was automatic ducking, one method of doing this was by using a side chain in conjunction with a “dynamic processing” effect.This allowed automation of the ducking and didn’t need key framing.Two things however:The “dynamic processing” effect is the only one that comes with Audition that works in the side chain.It takes some skill to set this up. So, along came auto ducking in Audition.Select your

Hi, I use a macbook pro 2019 and i have a lot issue whit audution. Usuarly ius very slow, if i press play a need wait a lot. I can make any configuration to improve the perfomance. Is something terrible to edit podcast.  Premier works well. All the sofwares is good, but audition is terrible. At my old mac pro 2015 I was ok. But whit this new one o lost a lot time waiting woks.  Help me 🙂  Tanks,

How to choose the RMS setting when calculating the amplitude in Amplitude  statistics window ？I am calculating the amplitude of a sine wave ,but the peak or rms equals between each other while choosing 0dB=FS sine wave,but not be the same number while choosing 0dB=FS squre wave.It doesn't match my understangding of the crest factor, isn't it be 1.414 for sine wave while 1 for squre wave?

Multichannel Audio Workflow There are improvements in multichannel audio workflow. Read on.    Audition will now create audio effects at their native channelizations. Previously, Audition would create an audio effect as a “ganged” instance on Multichannel tracks and Adaptive clips. This means that on an adaptive clip on a timeline, audio effects were created as 32 channel versions, and the UI for the first channel was used to control channels 2-32.   This worked fine for audio effects that could have those controls ganged, but did not work well for any audio effect that needed strict audio channelization or relied on meters to react across channels.   Examples and more info about the new multichannel workflows.

Any talk of them implementing a midi feature? Would be nice to use my creative suite in music production as well. Final cut suite comes with logic so you would figure creative cloud would want to match it somehow. Would be super nice to be able to lay out some midi tracks and actually use audition! 

I have only downloaded one of these so far, DAW Control.  It's not fully supported for Audition so a lot of the buttons don't do anything.  I still love it, but I want one that fully functions with Audition.  The companies don't seem to be very upfront about what their app supports.  Has anyone else found an app that fully works with Audition that you like?

Audio is not playing in mac...it'll record, play back however no audio is heard. 

I am trying to reinstall a original Adobe Audition 3 from cd on a new pc. The install says my serial number is invalid, yet I verified that it is registered on the Adobe site in my account. Please advise. Thanks much, Shep

When I choose edit clip in Audition from Premier CC 2019, audition launches but the file does not load. 

Opened up Audition from PP to edit out some noise in a video I am working on. Hello,I have Adobe CS6 installed on my Mac. A few days ago when I tried to start AA, pop-up windows appear:  "A previous Audition session quit unexpectedly. You can continue the session now, delete it or cancel it to continue the session at another time.I click the "Continue" button and another pop-up window appears: "Audition's primary temp volume cannot be found. Please Review Audition´s disk cache preferences" and then I can't continue.I already tried to reset using the Shift technique but the same initial pop up continues appearing.My Mac has the Majove operating system and I haven't had any problems until now. Do you recommend uninstalling and installing the program again?Thank you for your help

 I'm a novice to Audition but have put out a few podcasts and not had this trouble before. I'm using multitrack and edited/recorded everything onto it ready to export. Only the option to do so is greyed out on the menu. I've checked the dropdown boxes and all are set to 'Master' so that doesn't seem to be the issue. Not sure what to try now really. Any help would be much appreciated.   Thank you! 

Hello! I am editing a podcast with an audio file in the Host track and an audio file in the Interview track. When I started editing, everything was going fine, however, twenty minutes in, the Host track stopped playing audio, even though I can see the wave visuals -- the vertical bars do not move at all. When I click into the Host file's Waveform, I can hear the audio fine. When I play the Interview track in Multitrack, that file plays properly. I can even scroll back and play earlier audio from the Host track in Multitrack earlier in the clip and it's audible, but Audition will not play any audio in the Host track beyond this twenty minute marker. Thoughts? Ideas? I'm stumped. 

After saving my audition project as usual, I tried to open it and get the messageError: The file is either corrupt or using an unsupported formatXML FATAL ERROR: (line: 1, col: 1) [ (file directory).sesx] invalid document structureI have no idea what this means, I'm new to the whole adobe infrastructure. None of the audio files have been moved, and I don't know what a "document structure" is or what could have changed about it between previous drafts. Perhaps adding DeEsser and a Compressor? With previous versions I've sometimes had to link media upon opening it, but that seemed like random chance whether I had to or not.This is draft 21. Draft 20 has the same error code, while draft 19 has the error "unexpected end of input". Draft 18 works fine.Is there any way I can recover draft 21? A lot of progress has been made - draft 21 is basically the finished product.I'm using Audition CC 2018 on a MacThanksedit: I've just opened the .sesx files in a text editor. 21 and 20 are both blank. 1

the movie is a single person speaking in a small meeting room with walls..microphone is just a collar mic without sponge...(We might buy a better mic later..)will put on sponge help? I use Noise reduction 100% > Declicker (Default) > DeReverb 50%~60% > single band compressor or normalizer (to make sound louder)I can remove reverb on DeReverbBut after I use all the effect, there will be reverb on certain word, and an environment echo sounds like room.i need to put dereverb on certain word to get rid of the reverb there... the echo of room or maybe it is late reverb was not so significant befor I bring the volum loud...but I need to make it louder...what to do....... 

I have about 8 audio tracks and am mixing them down - I want to adjust reverb or other effects while playing back but when I change a setting there is a delay of about 5 seconds before it takes effect, why is this? I'm using a 3.4GHz Intel core i5 iMac with 8Gb RAM and plenty of spare disk space.

Hello everyone,Context: I recently started recording podcasts using a set up composed of a zoom H6 and 3 mics. The podcast consists of 3 persons talking together, sometimes overlapping, sometimes laughing at each other jokes but mainly answering to each other in a fast pace.Explanations: Tracks need to be cleaned of little noises, missed sentences, stuttering etc. I'm using the razor tool to remove non-wanted parts for 1 second or 2 every time. However, as the clean-up progresses, the tracks begin to lose synchronization and the questions and answers from the participants are no longer in rhythm at all.For example, I need to cut a lot of stuttering from Person A track. At the end of the mix, questions from Person A start at exactly the same time Person B is going to answer.My question is : How can I make a cut in all tracks at the same time to ensure that the tracks remain synchronized?I would like to be able to do that for all tracks at the same time and not for the three tracks separ

Dear Colin and Community, I am using Audition 12.1.3.10 (enterprise) through my school. For weeks, I have been using Effects > Noise Reduction/Restoration. This week, the Noise Reduction (process) window stopped appearing. I can capture a noise sample and I can apply the effect, but I can no longer make adjustments because the window that used to appear when I selected the entire track and chose Noise Reduction (process) has failed to appear. Here is a video of the screen capture. You'll witness that the effect works, but I cannot adjust any parameters because the Noise Reduction (process) window no longer appears. Please let me know how to revive the Noise Reduction (process) window so that I can preview and customize how to process my waveform. Thank you! Chris

Does anyone have experience using the Alesis MultiMix 4 USB with Audition?  I'd like to know if the multimix 4 USB works well with Audition.  We are installing some new equipment in an audio lab that will be used in an educational setting. Mostly for students to learn basic recording techniques, podcasting and basic audio editing.
