Hello Adobe users,I was trying to update my version of adobe cc 2015 to adobe cc 2019 and now I have both versions on my task bar. Do I just un-install the old version or will it un-install when I shut down my computer and then start it up again? Thanks, Jim.Moderator: Moved from Adobe Creative Cloud to Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC
I've been trying to edit and refine the audio from a video file that I've been working on in Premiere. And whenever I try to open the file, or save it or apply a filter, I get an error. "Audition has encountered an error reading or writing to disk. We recommend you save your work and restart audition." So it crashes, I restart audition and the same error comes up.I've tried opening the file, a .mp4 file, straigh in Audition, same error as when I right-click in Premiere and try and select "Edit in Adobe Audition." The difference being that when I open it in Audition itself, the error message comes up and it crashes, where as with opening it via Premiere, the error comes up but the file still opens, but when I try and apply a filter, or save it etc. the error message returns and then crashes.I've previously had no issue with editing premiere audio via audition...
I want to be able to highlight a selection and play it, have it stop at the end and then when I hit play again I want it to start again and only play the selection. As it stands now when I hit play the second time it just plays the remainder of the audio file. But I don't want it to loop. I only want it to play the highlighted selection each time I press play. Any help?
Hi,I have Audition CS6 which I purchased and have a key for. I tried opening it today and I'm told to renew my CC subscription. Do I now need a CC subscription to open a non CC application that I bought?
Greetings, I'm using Audition CC on a Macbook Pro. I need to export a single Stereo Track from my session. How do I do this? I only see options to export the entire session. Thanks in advance for your help.Regards,Rajnesh
Unless I'm missing something, it appears the Randomize Track Color option has been removed in Audition 2019/Appearance? Personally I don't care for multi-tracks populated with randomly selected funky colors. I realize how others might find it efficient. I would prefer a static color option allowing for possible customization after creation. All subjective, of course. I've sent feedback.-paul.@produceNewMedia
Hello community!I have some projects with CAF files in it.Everything it was working perfectly on the CC 2018 (v11.1.0), but since I upgraded to CC 2019 (12.0.0 or 12.0.1), these CAF files hasn't been reading.CC 2018:CC 2019:Right now I have both versions installed, because I need this files to work. But someone knows if thats some bug or if something changed on the new version?Thank u so much!J.
I'm wondering how everyone's been finding the stability of CC2019. (At least the Windows version.) Ever since it came out, I've been using it (Build 12.0.0.241) side-by-side with CC2018 (Build 11.1.1.3).I love everything about the new version, especially the new colors and the clip waveforms scaling (and I'd love to see more of that sort of thing in future releases!) But I am finding it buggy. The main thing that seems to happen is occasionally hearing muted tracks in playback and/or unmuted tracks not being heard in playback. Just restarting Audition seems to slap the program upside the head and fixes it, but this gets to be pretty annoying and I find myself running back to CC2018 just for the stability. Is anyone else having this problem or any other oddities?
Hi, I'm using Audition CC 11, in the "Audio File" mode. I want to do something that I think should be really simple, which is to save a copy of the current WAV file I am working on as an MP3. The best way I've found to do that is File > Export > File, but that defaults to appending a "_01" suffix to the file name of the MP3 file. For example, if the file I am working on is "Song.WAV" and I export, I get "Song_01.mp3".I really it's easy to rename manually but I do this often and would rather save a step. I'm also wondering if maybe I'm missing something about what the export feature is designed for (i.e., what is the use case where you'd want the _01) and if there's a better way to do what I want? Thanks!
I had to replace a clip in one of the track, so I grouped everything after that clip so they stay in place. But after I ungrouped them, they all became the same track but with the right in and out points. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm using the CC 2019 version
I need help I accidentally deleted the Hip Hop Vocal Chain preset from the effects rack.
I tried Adobe's chat tech support, he remote connected me amd had no solution.I connect the Presonus Faderport (single channel) the exact way Adobe's control surface support page tells me to.Nothing at all works. It is a lie that Audition CC offers "native support" for the Faderport. The instructions do not work, and Adobe's own tech support chat could not figure it out. Are there any work-arounds?Even the "button assign" section has ZERO of the Faderport's ACTUAL buttons. Crazy that adobe promotes native support, I spend all this money and its not true. PLEASE help.
Hello guys,I am pretty sure this topic has been beaten to death already, and there is a simple fix for it, but I failed to make a perfect clean up for the audio. I have an audio, with one person speaking but the bg noise is sooooo loud and his voice is so low, I could barely make any changes without not altering his voice. As you can imagine, it sounded robotic and alienish. Here is the original audio IWC6 AUDIO - YouTube I would appreciate it so much if you guys would tell me some of the steps you guys take when dealing with such audio! Thanks you guys!
How can I add just the opening of an effect window to Favorites? For example, I just want to open the Noise Reduction effect with one click. Then I will do the actions of capturing the noise print and picking the level on NR, etc. from there. So far, I've only seen how to "record" a favorite, which seems only to apply a very specific action of applying an effect without letting me choose settings, etc. If I've misread this, please set me straight. Thanks!
We have an upcoming gaming project which requires the recording of a large number of dialogue clips (circa 20,000). Wondered if anyone has any tips or advice re how to create an efficient workflow particularly in the following areas:File naming - each clip will have a predefined file name related to the project so we're looking for possible ways to automate the naming of each clip as it recorded, perhaps referencing a source e.g. .csv or xml file or something. The idea being to speed up the workflow and minimise the margin for human error in the file names.Trimming silence - looking for the best way to trim the silence from the beginning and end of each clip without trimming any silence between the words in the dialogueApplying effects and file saving - there's probably a straightforward answer to this but any advice on how to apply favourites and save each clip in one click as it is recorded would be appreciatedThanks in advance.
Any way of displaying the source timecode for a clip (e.g. this is ProTools with view/clip set to 'original timestamp')?
I am trying to create a favorite that will reduce any selected length by 50% (stretch 50%), but it always remembers the original selection length and won't work on any other selection. Back in the day, I had a favorite that would reduce amplitude by -3db and stretch any random selected length by -50%, all in the one favorite. I could use it on any selection I made.Is there a way to get the latest Audition to do that again?
Is there a way to search the multitrack session to reveal selected files in 'files' panel? (indeed any kind of search or 'reveal in multitrack' function)?
After applying the default Noise Reduction, the noise is still very audible at the tail end of every phrase (spoken word). I'm not sure why the noise isn't being eliminated at those points. How can I get the Noise Reduction process to eliminate all noise, even the noise at the end of a phrase? Thanks!
Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the levels on multiple TRACKS at the same time, as oppose to adjusting them one by one? I have 10 tracks in this particular session that I want to lower the levels on, but maintain the continuity amongst them. I need to keep the master gain at 0dB, but lower the track levels so that the master gain levels off at around -6dB. Pretty sure there's not, but figured I'd give this forum a shot.
Show match frame edits (and allow their removal) – Adobe video & audio apps - in case you want to vote for it 😉In most NLEs there is a 'show match frame' or equivalent.Typically this is a small white equals sign indicating where a clip has just been 'split' and otherwise levels/pan etc are exactly the same. The equals sign changes colour (say to red) to indicate that this is still a 'match frame' in terms of time but that there is a difference between either side of the edit (level / pan / clip based plug-in applied etc).So if you make a time selection and CMD+K to 'split' - there would be two small white equals signs across the two edits created - which would turn red if the level of the mid clip was adjusted. They also allow match frame edits to be removed (aka 'joined' in PP).Only way I can see to do this in Audition (once undo is no longer possible) is to 'merge' clips - but this does a mixdown and replace (so is more like a 'render'). Useful at times, but limiting
Hi Everyone!I decided to try to record a podcast while getting a tattoo. I knew minimizing the sound of the gun would be a challenge. Does anyone have advice to do that? (or, frankly, a price to do it for me?Here's the link: Dropbox - Tattoo.m4a Skip to minute 18 to hear the gun sound.
dans Adobe Audition, comment accéder aux données affichées dans l'histogramme d'amplitude de l'onglet "données statistiques" et à celles de l'onglet "affichage fréquence spectrale" ?
Hi,first of all I'd like to say that I really enjoy working with Audition, especially because of it's almost invisible integration with Premiere. I'm doing a lot audio to video and there are some features that I'd like to see in multitrack editor.1) Shortcut for adding crossfade between two clips that are placed on different tracks. Think about a situation when you're editing dialog and you want to keep your room tone consistent. To achieve this you need to fade in and out each clips so that your room tone never exceeds 100%. Presently you have to do all the fades separately for each clip and it's hard to be precise, because snapping is not enabled when working with fades. What I would like to do instead is select the clips I want to add fades to by using Time Selection Tool and then hit the shortcut that creates fade in for incoming clip(s) and fade out for outgoing clip(s). Type of applied fade (cosine or linear) should be defined in preferences by user. This feature would be a huge
