I am new to Adobe Audition CC 2018. I am recording vocals in a multitrack session with an instrumental. When recording with my microphone, I can hear the music in the headphones that are connected to the microphone when I record my singing so I know it matches. But when I am listening to what I recorded, the vocals do not match up with the instrumental. Is there anything to do to correct this? Why doesn't it match up?
Unless I create a new session none of my current .sesx files are opening suddenly. The error it gives me is "The file is either corrupt or using unsupported format" FATAL XLM ERROR etc. the details in the error after that vary. Its worth noting that the same thing happened to all my Cubase sessions at the same time. Also, all my backups have the same date and time and its todays date. I'm hoping someone can explain to me how i can correct the errors myself in Notepad or whatever (if its possible)--specifically what needs to be corrected. I saw a previous past post where adobe staff just repaired the file for the person but I've got a lot of files here and don't even know what caused the problem. Any help is appreciated.DAHLIA MIX.sesx - Google Drive 150 bpm.sesx - Google Drive
I have several clips with similar artifacts I wish to remove using the spectral display waveform editor. How can I save the selection and apply it to another clip? Seems this would be simple but I can't seem to find it. TIA ed
I've been having major latency issues while trying to record a multitrack song in Adobe audition. one proposed solution was to download an ASIO driver. Downloaded ASIO4ALL, installed properly, it was identified by premiere and should be all good. The big issue is since i'm using an ASIO driver Audion does not allow me to select Input or Output devices like it does with MME, so I am currently unable to use my headphones or blue yeti mic while recording. The laptops built in mic is still recognized and picks up sound. Is there any way to use these devices while also using asio
So I do voice over work, and my method is to just record the entire voice over session (about 30 minutes) then split it up into many clips and deal with the timing later. The result is a multitrack session with a dozen minute lengthed small clips all stemming from one original 30 minute clip. In other words every clip has the same name (track 1_001).But on one clip I want to reverse the audio. Seems easy enough. I double click that clip and it takes me to the waveform format. Annoyingly it shows me the entirety of the original 30 minute clip, but oh well, I figure if I just select the small part I want reversed then the result will still be the same. I reverse it, go back to my multitrack session, and wallah, every single clip on my timeline that I had initially split from the original long clip is now reversed and it's driving me nuts. I think the solution is if audition would just recognize that by cutting out a section from a clip, that section becomes its own unique clip completely
Hi all. I'm sure this is a simple fix but am having trouble and can't find the answer anywhere. I'm relatively new to Audition and haven't made any custom changes or preferences to the config. When I listen to audio in Waveform, it sounds great. When I add it to Multitrack, the audio levels seem to fluctuate throughout. It dips up and down. This happens on all wav files.Video attached, where I play it in Waveform then in Multitrack.Help is appreciated.
I have a fair understanding of the reasoning behind why mono signals, when converted to stereo, lose 3dB in the L/R channels. What I don't understand is this:I generate a mono 440 Hz tone at -3dB and save it.I use Favorites > Convert to stereo to convert it. The L/R channels are now at -6dBThen I use Favorites > Convert to mono to go back. Result: the level is now at -9dB.If I kept going long enough, the signal would disappear. Why is that? Surely a Stereo > Mono conversion, followed by a Mono > Stereo conversion should get you back to the original.I'm using CS6.
Hi all,we are currently using Audition CS6 and need to produce time-critical highlights of some live events for one of our customers. To be able to deliver finished highlight clips in time, we have to import audio files that are still growing and where recording from a third party system is ongoing. We then cut out the important parts and create subclips out of it.Importing of that growing (not finished) files is no problem in Audition. The audio file is imported with latest progess of record. But importing it this way can only be done once. If we try to reimport that file after a while Audition doesn't do that as the file has already been important and it seems Audition ignores files with the same name even if they have different sizes. Is there a way to force Audition to reimport the growing file or are there any other best practices for that workflows?Best case would be, if we could relink/refresh that imported file after a while - maybe manually by reflinking it.Best regards,
Hi, I'm trying to fix a stereo recording where one track has only background noise, the other track has the voices + background noise. It sounds like the ideal situation to filter the noise but it doesn't work. I just removed the noise track and filtered the voice track alone, I end up with a mono file and I'm not satisfied with the filtering. Anyone can give it a try?AUDIO SOURCEAUDIO FILTERED BY ME
Hello, How can I convert a male voice into a female voice in Adobe Auditions CC? Best wishes.
Moving from 3.0 to CC version and do not see a "reset" control in Graphic EQ. I often try several frequencies to find the right one and need to quickly put the wrongs sliders back to 0. But I don't see a "reset" control like in 3.0. Am I missing it somewhere? Thanks.
I like to create covers of pre-made songs but have always had trouble learning music by ear. Some songs don't have available sheet music so if i want to cover it i need to learn it, but to do that i need to know the notes. Does audition have some kind feature that can do this or me, it would save a lot of time. If not does anyone know a software that will that doesn't cost £100+I have tried to base the knowledge using the automatic pitch correction feature, but it is difficult.
Audition isn't working for me today, I've tried reinstalling, updating my audio drivers, and running as admin.This is as far as the log file gets:Log file created: 1/12/2018 9:55:11 AM----------------------------------------Ticks = 16 <3700> <AuLog.Startup> <5> Application: AuditionTicks = 16 <3700> <AuLog.Startup> <5> Version: 11.0.0Ticks = 16 <3700> <AuLog.Startup> <5> Build: 199Ticks = 31 <3700> <AuLog.Startup> <5> AuUI initialization sequence started...Ticks = 31 <3700> <AuLog.Startup> <5> Initializing Crash RecoveryTicks = 31 <3700> <AuLog.Startup> <5> Initializing dvaaudiodspTicks = 31 <3700> <AuLog.Startup> <5> Initializing AuMediaCoreSupportTicks =
Hi all.I have the "Return playhead to start position on first stop" activated, and it works as expected during normal playback. However, if I make a selection and play it, the playhead does not return to the starting point upon stopping. It stops at the end of the selection, but goes on its merry way AFTER the selection when you play again. If there's any time you want to repeat playback, it's when you have a selection!Looping is not a suitable workaround, because in many cases you want to hear what an edit sounds like from start to stop.Is this a Mac-specific bug, or does it happen on Windows too? Thanks!

Hello Forum,I wasn't sure where to inform Adobe about a typo and finally decided this might be the spot. So, in the Tutorial that is embedded with Audition CC, there is a minor typo. I've included a screenshot with it highlighted in red. I hope this helps and isn't an annoyance. Cheers and thanks for all you do! I've been enjoying the tutorial very much.Cheers!AxelPS any advise on where Adobe would like these posts would sure be appreciated!
Hi,My audiotion cc 2017 says that the license is invalid and that it needs to shutdown. I have a legit licensewhat to do?and don't forget:LONG LIVE COMMUNISM!
I'm trying to adjust the gain effect with envelopes, but the graph only displays a range form -15db to +15db. Is there a way to get the graph to show a larger range, e.g. +/- 60db?
Hi. My Adobe Audition CC is due to expire on 6/1/2018. I have contacted customer care support to help cancel it as I do not want my card to be unnecessarily charged once the product expires. The customer care support chat team is taking too much time to reply. Please help!
Have a problem with several new work stations. The audio playback sounds great. However, the waveform in the sequence/timeline isn't showing much volume. The mic is at 100% in the computer. Using Adobe Audition CC 2017 with HP Computers and AudioArts Air1 Mixers. The installer isn't sure what the problem could be....
I noticed a potentially useful shortcut in Premiere Pro that I thought would be very useful in Audition: a keyboard shortcut to switch panels within the program (ie: Multitrack Mode--switch from "Selection/View" panel back to "Editor" panel). In Premiere Pro you can do this by hitting CTRL+SHIFT+PERIOD or COMMA, but there doesn't seem to be a corresponding shortcut in Audition. If this already exists please let me know, my apologies if this subject has already been covered.
Hello. Anyone know if I can upgrade my Audition CS6 that I purchased on 2013 to the new Audition CC?Thanks for any help/advice.tena
I have the Adobe Creative Cloud apps. Adobe is stating it has an update for Audition. However, it's not where the other apps are, but on the Home section. When I click it it brings me to the Adobe main page. It almost looks like Adobe Audition is now being sold as a separate app. I hope that is not the case.Thankfully, Adobe Audition still opens for me.
Hello,I have encountered an issue while recording some guitar. I have plugged my guitar into a boss me-80 effects peddle and also seperately tried using a peavey amp, and then using the record out audio cables, plugged into the microphone socket input on my computer. While recording, if i play a chord or play with continuous noise for more than 3 seconds, it will cut out prematurely as if its automatically dampening the sound. Another issue which may be the same issue is if I'm playing a riff where there is constant noise input, it becomes dampened and sounds as though its playing through a quiet radio.Any attempts to help are much appreciated.Sincerely, me.
