I have a sequence with one track of audio and I've Enhanced it. It's a talking head "template-based" project that uses one shot of the talent delivering one line to the camera so I'm reusing the opening and graphics by just duplicating the sequence and using REPLACE EDIT with new person so my color correction and framing stays the same. When I do the a replace edit, the audio track gets replaced with the new one but the sound from the old audio track stills plays over the new one - even though there's just one audio track in the timeline. The workaround is to option-click just the audio in the timeline and choose Render and Replace.
We are aware of an issue affecting some users in Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder version 24.2. A crash on startup may be experienced for some Windows systems with certain NVIDIA GPUs supporting CUDA. Some user are also seeing that they cannot enable GPU acceleration for CUDA. At this time, we do not believe an NVIDIA GPU driver update will resolve the issue since the issue is believed to be in the Adobe codebase. While we track down the source of this crash, we have decided to pull the 24.2 releases of Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and After Effects from the Creative Cloud Desktop application. We plan to issue a 24.2.1 patch as soon as the issue is fixed. This issue affects Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and After Effects. Workarounds and recommendations: Revert back to 24.1 or Update to 24.2.1 (once it is available)
If you're using the text box feature and your premier keeps crashing, this might be the post for you. I'll keep this very simple. When you create a new textbox and type the letters "f" and "I" in your text box (in my case, I was trying to type the word "first"), it will crash Premiere Pro. I was adding a subtitle to a video in the middle of a sentence, which stopped my progress for a solid hour! I couldn't figure out what was happening. I tried typing all different types of sentences and using profanity to see if I had triggered some hidden language blocker, but nope! I can't find a workaround, so I'll have to create an image file for just one line of subtitles. Hoping this is an easy fix on Adobe's end. Let me know if this is a me-only issue! Thanks in advance for the help. Mod note: The title was changed from The Most Infuriating Text Box Crash of All Time to a title that describes the issue.
In File 1 only the first track of audio plays. In File 2 (an ProRes export from PP), all audio tracks play correctly. There are likely some .mov container flags missing from File 1 that are preventing PP from parsing the audio tracks correctly. Could an Adobe Audio Engineer, take a look at the files and let me know which flags are missing so they can be included. On Premiere Pro 24.2.1, my project folders naming with "0" at the start, the "0" is always deleted after relaunch. As I use only digits of date to name my folders, say Feb 27th is "0227", Jan 15th is "0115" the folder name after relaunch becomes "227", "115". It happens everytime I relaunch the project. I also tested with different digits and naming, only when folders with "0" at the start and using only digits in the naming, the "0" will be deleted. If I use digits out of "0" at the start, or add other characters instead of only digits. For example, "20240119" for Jan 19th 2024, or "0225A" for Feb 25th Version A, or even with a hiphen "0221-2" for Feb 21st Version 2. These combinations won't affect any names after a relaunch, the screenshot is the examples. My current solution is to add a underline at the end of the folder name to avoid being deleted. And it never happened on 24.1 or previous version. Hoping for a fix. Spec: Premiere Pro 24.2.1, M
Currently, the online documentation includes this dialog at the bottom of web page entries: The "not really" button leads to this dialog: This dialog is inadequate for addressing problems in documentation: 1. Entries are limited to 235 characters. 2. No images can be included. 3. No additional dialog with Adobe employees or other users is possible to clarify the issue. 4. If the problem is that no documentation exists for a feature, then its not possible to leave a comment on a page that doesn't exist. A better means of documenting, discussing, and resolving documentation issues is necessary. Current means of addressing documentation issues are completely inadequate. This is demonstrably true. Recent example (stretching back to reports in February 2023). R.

For years I've had this issue. I create a custom workspace layout that's suitible for my workflow, and EVERYTIME I open premiere, not only are my windows in a broken state, if I hit "reset to saved layout", it does nothing because it was overwritten. In the past 2 weeks alone I've had to fix it a whooping 14 times. Once for each day. It doesn't matter if I open premiere normally, open a project file directly, or even one of those options again later that same day. This happens with every CC version of premiere that I've used (never had this with cs6), and even moreso with each new update. This is what it should be And this is what I open the app to each time It takes only a few seconds to fix it and resave my layout, but that's still a lot of of time wasted when you add up this happens evertime the app is opened. Is there a fix for this?
We use a dated folder name for many of our assets, ie 031224 would be today. If I create this folder in a PP project, or drag a folder like this into the project, PP displays the name without the leading zero - 31224. Previous versions did not do this. That bug has been there for years now, on Mac and PC, and it's driving me crazy : everytime I create a new project, the project panel loses its position and goes on the upper left... AND the workspace metadata display profile goes back to default. If only the "reset workspace" function worked but nooooo, I have to manually move the project panel, go back to the metadata display to chose my custom profile, and save the workspace again... until the next time I create a project. I teach editing with Premiere Pro. It's a big part of my job, I've had more than 300 students over the last three years. And every freaking time I have to explain that saving a workspace is not enough, it will be destroyed next time we create a project. And in my class we need to create a new project every day. I'm sorry but it's not a temporary bug. Many of my students ask me if Resolve is a faster, better performing and more reliable software and I hate to admit it but it's true in many ways. Don't
Since updating to Premiere v 23.1, I'm experiencing serious delays when performing standard actions on the timeline (scrubbing, trimming, playback, etc). Restarting the application seems to provide temporary relief, but performance quickly gets sluggish the longer I edit. The lag occurs regardless of: whether the playback resolution is 1/4 or high whether High Quality Playback is checked whether I've rendered clips on the timeline the type of media (compressed video, proxies, just audio) I've also tried: updating macOS setting my audio input to none clearing the media cache resetting the workspace I use Productions and am working on the same projects (now upgraded to the new version) that had no performance problems before the last update. If anyone can help me troubleshoot or provide insight, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, y'all. I run the most recent version of Premiere Pro on Mac and I noticed the feedback menu entry in the help menu doesn't link to community.adobe.com but instead still takes me to the now defunct user voice link. This only happens in Premiere Pro, I tested AE and AME, both have updated community links in their help menu, it's just Premiere.
Hi,I am having a consistent bug in which optical flow on clips renders improperly on my M1 Max Macbook Pro. This occurs on both .mp4 and ProRes clips during timeline renders and exports. This bug appears to have been around for some time. Unless fixed, I cannot use my M1 machine on commercial projects. M1 Max, 64GB memory Version 22.0.0 (Build 169) Thanks!
Hello everyone. I have a problem with a Transform preset I've created, that serves to animate a mask which leads to a transition. As you can see on the screenshot1, I have my Transform preset on the left with its mask keyframes, and the mask's form on the right. But now, if I close my project to open it again, you can see on the screenshot2 that all the keyframes disappeared, and so the mask doesn't work anymore. If somebody has an idea to fix that, I take with pleasure.
I have a sequence created from an iPhone recording, the edit rate is reported as 29.99. However an exported XML reports the edit rate as 29. Dropbox link to Premiere Pro project file and XML export: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/qmchq5oyhsnw0l27un17d/h?rlkey=vih7ru9ocdk6hr8vgeozz0jbw&dl=0
First: PC Specs: Windows 10 -64bitsRtx 4050 notebooki7-1250H32GB ddr4Second:I'm having Importer 39, importer 81, low-level, and also werfault.exe, idk why, my drivers are ok, I just can't export videos, I'm almost changing of platform because of it.I begin the project editing ok, but when i close it and reopen, or after some hours when i try to export, this is happening, can somebody help me?I've tried enable/disable, creating a new sequence and putting everthing there with ctr c/ctr v, and also downgrade my premiere for multiple versions, but NOTHING, NOTHING, 3 days with this issues without being able to work, i need help please!! Also tried to use media encoder, but then, it freezes.
To summarize, when exporting or sometimes just rendering the sequence I'm getting the blue screen with the follow message: Critical Process Died.Tried to update all the windows drivers (optional included) and nVidia driver as well.I noted that hardware acceleration is missing on the Premiere Menu tab. Im using a Ryzen 2700x32GB ram 4x6Gbnvme KINGSTON SA400S37480G for Windows and Adobe programs (I believe is this guy causing the errors)I say that because when I used a usual SSD for windows it did not occur the error. But I needed the space so I went for the nvme option. Also using the K-Lite Codec Pack 930 Full as usual it never did cause any issues. Anyone had similar issue?
This issue was previously described in this post:Issues with positioning and using Rulers & Guides However, as three years have passed since this post and the issue is still occuring, I feel compelled to share it again. Furthermore, the issue affects not only text, as described in the original post, but videos, photos, color mattes, and any other visual clip. Guide snapping is important for compositing text over backgrounds, arranging visuals in a frame, keyframe animations, and more. Moreover, as high resolution monitors (4K, 8K, etc.) become more common, display scaling and High DPI functionality is necessary for UI to be properly legible. It is important for snapping to function properly regardless of the UI scale. I have attached a copy of the Premiere Pro project shown in the screenshots. 1. SEARCH/FIND/BIN NOT WORKING!After the update to Premiere Pro CC 13.0.2 (on a Macbook Pro running OS 10.13.6) I started having issues with the project panel bin filter search not showing clips that I knew were in the project - I'd search for a word in the name of a clip and no clips would show up. I tried using the Cmd-F tool instead, and Premiere would either find nothing or stall out and rainbow wheel. Creating a search bin also failed to work properly - I'd create one to search for a word that was in the name or description of dozens of clips, and the search bin would remain empty. I tried multiple solutions discussed in this thread about CC 2018: Premiere Pro CC 2018 Doesn't seem to be able to search the Project Panel . I trashed preferences, deleted the media cache and database, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and tried the lock project trick. I still saw the same behavior. Tried starting a brand new project containing only 4 clips. In one case, 2 of these clips contained
With each and every update of Premiere Pro, I maintain the hope that my Project panel will stay on my left monitor, but no...I have to drag it over and resize it every time I open a project. Certainly a relatively small hassle, but after years of it, I have grown quite weary of having to do it. During the short time that I ventured into the land of Resolve, I was so impressed with not having to do this every single time I opened a project. Alas, Resolve was so lacking in functionality that I missed from Premiere, that it was a relatively short venture. And yes, I know how to 'Save Changes to this Workspace'.And yes, I have tried to disable 'Import Workspace from Projects'. As a matter of fact, just in case I was thinking in reverse on this setting, I've tried it both ways for several years to no avail.
Hello, I'm a Korean Beta Community Manager for Premiere Pro. I want to share the issue over a year in Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro gets extremely slow when you type Korean on Mac and Windows. This issue occurred on Windows from the 22 version and Mac from the 23 version. There is no problem when you type in English. *Basic steps to reproduce the problem. 1. Launch Premiere Pro (Language setting: Korean keyboard set-2) 2. Import an existing project 3. Click 'Type Tool.' 4. Type Korean *Expected result: Typing Korean smoothly in real-time *Actual result: Application performance gets extremely slow Note: This issue also occurred with 3rd party fonts and even Adobe Korean Fonts; it has been a year, so Korean users are frustrated.
I had over 100 templates in essential graphics, plus premiere presets.Yesterday I wanted to use one, but all the templates disappeared. Now my EG browse panel looks like this: I've searched online but I found no one having the same issue.I can't even reinstall the presets because if I try to do it it says they are already installed.Even if I choose to overwrite mogrt files, it doesn't fix the issue.
Ok so I've been working with footage from a C200; shot this right after getting the camera. Didn't want to mess with canon RAW as I'd had the camera a day or two. Everything seemed to go ok but in viewing the footage in Premiere, every once in a while I get these glitches. They look like data corruption. But I checked the original clip in windows media player and there's no glitch. What's even weirder is that if I stop at the glitch in the time line, it's there for a second then goes away. But if I play the timeline back it's there, sometimes for 2 frames, sometimes for 3. If I export frame, it's not there, but if I export a clip of that part of the timeline it shows up. Windows 10 128 GB ram, GeForce RTX2070 Super. No issues with 4K footage before and drivers are all up to date. Going to try running the original clip through Media Encoder and see if Premiere likes that clip any better but this is pretty frustrating. Anyone else have this issue? Attached are an un
On my desktop (Mac Studio M1 Max), I opened Premiere to sync my settings I uploaded 2 days prior from my laptop (Macbook Pro M1 Max). But I was greeted with an error message: Syncing Failed With Error Code -516 Not sure what this means, and it happens when I try to download and upload settings. I couldn't even find a forum with a similar error code, but I tried the basic troubleshooting steps outlined below, but to no avail: Restarting my computerCleaning my cachesBacking up my Adobe Premiere settings in my documents so it can create new folders to try and re-sync from thereUninstalling/reinstalling PremiereUninstalling via the Creative Cloud cleaner toolManually migrating my settings from my Macbook to my Mac Studio, which DID bring them over, but I want to be able to sync settings in case I make any changes or keyboard shortcuts. Frustrated, I contacted customer support who transferred me 3 times because they couldn't figure it out either, ultimately le
