In premiere pro, timeline playback stopped working. It is the main sequence in the project (sequence Gitte Raafiler), other sequences play back fine. The issue ocured suddently, no new clips or effects were added to the timeline. We have tried moving the project to a different computer, and problem persists. Hi! I think something is wrong with my Align and Transform Properties for editing captions. Sometimes there is a Set Horizontal Size and sometimes not! I can't seem to get it to show up, no matter if I re-start, re-save, etc. It only has up/down and general placement. The little icon for "expand" is dead/goes nowhere when clicked. Please help!!!
Hi,This is about an issue with regards to using the Slip Tool on a clip whereby Scale to Fill is used on a clip that is smaller than the sequence dimensions. In this scenario, a 1920x1080 clip is Scaled to Frame Size of a 3840x2160. Normally, if you use the Slip Tool on any clip, it will show the in and out points of the video. However, if the clip is Scaled to Frame Size first, Premiere Pro will bug out and scale the preview shots as well, making the Slip Tool more of a guess. It should instead show the In and Out points of the video in preview without the scaling.I thought it was just my PC issue at first but it seems like its been an issue for a number of years now. Hoping the devs can help out. I am aware that Fit to Frame Size doesn't have this issue however.
When media is offline and I press 'Link Media...' I get to a panel that doesn't scale properly and is has been an issue for a long time. Most of the panel is just unusable space while looking for the offline media becomes really diffucult because the usable space in the panel is so small.
Hardware: Mac Studio 2022 with M1 UltraOS: macOS 15.5 with updates as of 6/6/25Version: 25.2.3 (Build 4) When I add a guide to the Program Monitor, the color I select is sometimes greyed out. This doesn't affect every guide., it appears to be random. I have a 1920x1080 sequence. I have also noticed this behaviour with lines on 3840x2160 sequences. The guides affected are typically the vertical guides. In the same window I have vertical lines at 640px & 1280px with green selected. With rulers on, 640px is green and 1280px is grey. With rulers off, 640px is grey and 1280px is green. The guides switch between grey and green when I toggle the rulers on and off. I have reset the preferences, cleared the media cache, & plugin loading cache. When I reset the preferences, the behavior changed. The change was just an inversion of being grey or green depending on position of the guide. I didn't check toggling the rulers on and off before resetting the preferences. I t
UPDATE 10-14-24: MXF file frame substitution errors has been fixed in version 25 of Premiere Pro --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've seen a number of posts about this, and am now running into the problem myself. Although there are a few differences I'd like to share that I'm hoping may shed more light on what appears to be a longstanding issue. Specs: M3 Max Macbook Pro (64GB RAM), Sonoma 14.3.1, Premiere Pro 24.1.0 The .MXF files were shot XAVC-I from the Sony FX6 shot on a V90 card. I copied the entire memory card structure to my internal drive, and imported the clips using the media browser. The clips are 59.94 fps and 23.976 fps on a 23.976 timeline. As I perform regular editing tasks (slowing 59.94 clips to 40%, adding clips to timeline, scrolling through), I get these error messages. BUT, here's the
Every movie clip I import to Premiere Pro tve Audio is out of sync. Even in the source monitor. Its a fixed framerate 25, 1920x1080 clip 48000Hz. Teh delay is about 15 frames. Its the same with different video cameras and computers. tested version 24 and 25. Tried to empty cash, buffer size, RAM etc. What can I do?
Whenever I import a Mogrt into any proyect (it's worst if the mogrt is a little complex in animations) it completly breaks real time preview, no matter the resolution, it stops previewing in real time and worst than that, it freezes on the frame any mogrt starts and takes almost 6 seconds to render a frame, all this with 1080p footage on a M4 Max. It's astonishing. Also, not only preview lags terribly, but properties panel changes also work awful, ultra slow. It's a complete pain to just adjust the scale or position on any element. What makes it obvious that it's a bug is that if I change position or scale with the visual tools on preview windows it works fast and flawless.I work with premiere every day and just know I started working with a macbook, in windows never had that problem. Any help would be fantastic, as the performance is terrible. My hardware is a Macbook Pro M4 Max with 64gb of ram. Already tried reinstall, clean cache, working with prores only and also changing animations
Hi, I was trying to use Fnord WebM plugin in my laptop but it doesn't work. Premiere version in Laptop 25.2.3Premiere version in PC: 25.1.0Both Windows 11. The plugin works in my PC but it doesn't work in my laptop, so makes me think the problem is the version. Also, my laptop doesn't have dedicated GPU, which is maybe needed for the plugin, but has a better Intel CPU. I installed the plugin the same way in both devices: run the installer, restarted Windows, run Premiere. After that, the installation seems to be successful, but it doesn't show WebM videos when trying to import and does nothing when trying to drag manually. Thanks for your time.
I've found a ton of threads on this issue, going as far back as 2021. Most of them list the "fix" as updating Premiere settings to select "Tool Tips" — this does not work. I've updated (doesn't work), reset my preferences (doesn't work), deleted my media cache files (doesn't work), quit and started new projects from scratch (one locally, one on an external drive - neither worked). As a longtime Avid user without an Avid --> Premiere keyboard cover, this is especially obnoxious. The only solution that seems to address it is in this Reddit thread, which is to manually select the Razor tool and use it on a clip already in my timeline. This works for approximately 5-10 seconds, but even then, it only works on a small handful of tools. Two screenshots below showing this (second one shows the first screenshot in lower right, to illustrate that some tools have the brackets, and others don't). But the shortcuts disappear again whenever I try doing something e
Whenever any of my clips have warp stabiliser applied, Lumetri Color will refuse to auto correct that clip. There are a few workarounds, but they become cumulatively time consuming very quickly when working with a lot of footage. Have had this problem through a few updates now too, hoped it would be fixed but is still a problem. Version 23.5.0 (Build 56)Windows 10 Pro
Hello, I've been using Premiere Pro for over 3 years, but recently, I've been experiencing crashes every time I try to add captions (text). I've tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the software, using previous versions, and even switching to the default font (Arial). The issue occurs after about 3 minutes of working on captions, and when it crashes. If I work on something else than caption such as simple trimming and color grading, it doesn't crash. After it crashes, I receive an error message, although it doesn't identify any specific issues. I'm using a MacBook, fully updated as well.
Hey all, I am working on a music video and today when I opened Premier, the project was missing from the opening screen, I found it on my t7 but all of the colouring has gone, all shots should be with the SL NOIR LDR, colouring, the program says it's on but the picture is in colour, my client does not want colour and this is a big thing. I have tried to take off the filter then re apply it, but that didn't help, it changed nothing. How do I fix this?
Hey there, So I'm up to date with the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro, and am baffled by this project.Any effects I add, or any changes to effects, cause Premiere to completely freeze for about a minute to 5 minutes before I can make any more edits.I've tried resetting my workspace, setting audio input to none, Clearing Cache, restarting, changing OpenCL to CUDA to Software. Nothing has worked.I'm working with 2K footage, all proxied in quarters. Nothing is working. I've checked my GPU, CPU, RAM, Disk space, and none of them are being highly used up.I'm just so confused, any help would be amazing.PC specs for reference.GPU NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3070 TiCPU Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor96 GB Ram
The Effect WarpStabilize causes my laptop to turn the fans to the max wich never happend to me, this seems to be a bug since the stabilisation in davinci resolve is much faster and not causing my laptop to go on full fan speed.
Hi, Couldn't find anything on this in the forums or elswhere so I'm pretty sure I need to change a setting somewhere but: I'm using the pen tool to create keyframes in my music track lower and raise it around the Talking Head bits. I've been using the Ease In an Ease Out presets to create a bezier curve for those changes. However, sometimes when I export or when I reopen the project, many of the bezier handles are changed to the extreme which takes the volume line all the way to the top or all the way to the bottom. Is this a bug or is it something I can fix in settings or something? Thanks. Premiere Pro 14.4.0 [Moderator note: this has persisted and is clearly still affecting users. I made my own Premiere panel to make a consolidated project. I use the following settings: pmo.clipTransferOption = pmo.CLIP_TRANSFER_TRANSCODE;pmo.clipTranscoderOption = pmo.CLIP_TRANSCODE_MATCH_SEQUENCE;pmo.convertAECompsToClips = false;pmo.convertSyntheticsToClips = false;pmo.copyToPreventAlphaLoss = false;pmo.destinationPath = outFolder.fsName;pmo.excludeUnused = false;pmo.handleFrameCount = 0;pmo.includeConformedAudio = true;pmo.includePreviews = true;pmo.renameMedia = false; Now this makes a folder 'Transcoded_...' and put a copy of the Premiere project in it. it also copies the excludeUnused clips but does not transcode clips. I also tried it with the SDK Sample Panel, but this has the same effect.Samples/PProPanel at master · Adobe-CEP/Samples could this be a bug in the API?

This happens in the Icon View window. When I change it to List View, then everything is in order at once. What does it look like? The windows of the project is first normal, then it becomes black and after seconds again normal. And the previews of all projects begin to blink in turn like a garland. This is horror
I am using Premiere Pro 25.0 with Productions and whenever I try to transcribe a project it uses up to 100GB of RAM and then crashes. It takes a while to crash and slowly uses more and more RAM until Premiere crashes or the entire system restarts. I'm using Apple Sequoia 15.3.1. I have 32GB of RAM. Another editor is working on the same Productions file and does not have this issue. Their computer is also an Apple computer with 32GB of RAM and they told me that transcribing used 5GB of RAM at the most when they tried it. Thanks!
So I just recently factory reset my pc due to some memory issues, and it seems to have done the job, BUT now my premiere pro is as good as unusable. So much so to the point that I can't even zoom in/out of the timeline without getting a not responding error.I've been trying to trouble shoot this issue for the past couple of hours and here's a list of things I've tried, all of which haven't worked.Installing/Reinstalling Nvidia Studio Drivers.Changing Video Playback Codec.Proxies.Clearing Media Cache.Lowering Playback Quality.Pre-Rendering the footage.Changing Audio Sample Rate.+Some more tiny changes that also didn't work.I do also want to say that I do vaguely remember my premiere pro doing this exact thing when I first got my new pc, but I don't remember exactly how I fixed it.Any help/tips is appreciated. Here is my pc specs:Intel I7-14700FNvidia GeForce RTX 407032GB DDR5 RamOther Information:Premiere 25.2.1The media I'm using is stored on an SSDOne more thing I'd like to mention is t

After screen recording questions on my iPad Air m2, I send these footage via Airdrop to Macbook pro M4 to edit them on premiere pro (literally simple cut/paste edits) and when start to export it give me the time needed for export and the end of exporting process The loading wheel on MacOS start to appear and the app totally FREEZZES This bug repeated several times.Sometimes it works fine and other times it sucks.
When trying to add a libary that was shared with me I encounter 'failed to add library at this time' in the creative cloud panel when clicking 'add' on the library icon. I can add and delete other libraries that are shared just fine. It occurs for both premiere pro and premiere pro beta which are running at the latest update.I'm working on an Apple M1 2020 running the latest OS. My libaries are synced otherwise. The only way I can access this libary is via the '+' browse shared libaries in the libarie panel where I am sent to the creative cloud page that gives the 'failed to add libary at this time' error in a red bar. Searching this error gives '0' other results. What else is out there to try and get this libary synced?
We're getting lower field issues with interlaced footage and straps within interlaced sequences displaying on HD monitors.Playing out through Blackmagic kit (Monitor3G, Ultrastudio 4K, Ultrastudio HD Mini) on three different specced MAChines - the only consistent being PP2024 (24.6.5)The same issue occurs in PP2025 (most recent version) when I've tested that too.I've tested the same sequences on older versions of the software (PP2020 & 2022) and there's no interlacing issue there on any of the above kit.I've also (re)installed and tested using a number of versions of the Blackmagic Desktop software (12.7.1/12.9/14.01/14.3) and all present in excactly the same way: no field issue on the 'first' field but quite visible on the right hand side of the screen when set to 'second' field or both. Also, rendering has no effect/improvementThis issue is not noticeable when High Quality Playback is selected but that presents some playback issues with lower specced machines. We're using a mixture
