Is is possible to disable a 'next' button or disable going to the next slide on the navigation bar until all content has been viewed (ex: all hotspots have been clicked or all cards have been flipped)? Additionally, is it possible to have this disabled navtigation only for the first time a user takes the module? That way, if they have to go back and review the same module, they wouldn't have to click every part of a widget to navigate between slides.
In Captivate 12, is there a way to set a course to complete/passed when the user clicks an Exit button. I can't set completion based on number of slides because there are several branches within the course. There is not a quiz, but I was going to set the Quiz.Pass system variable to true when the button is clicked. This did not work as I can' access that variable from the Trigger pane. Anyone have a suggetion?
I would like to install Captivate 2019. (with license number 1368-1005-xxxx-xxxx-2532-3668) under WIN 11-64. The License is of Lufthansa - German Airline. It is not in Standard Account, as all others (Premiere, Acrobat, Photoshop etc,) Dont know why.First, the MS Aggregator host must be terminated, otherwise Setup will not work. (Never had this before)Then I install Captivate_2019_x64_LS21. Error 0xc000007b appears at startup. That was it.Had terminated all Adobe SW in Taskmanager, and run Log Collector.Cant get Support from Adobe (shold contact our Admin - they have to Idea of Adobe)
I'm trying to add accessibility text to buttons in Captivate 12.2, and it intermittently deletes what has been typed in the accessibility textbox once I select another tab in the reading order. I've tried saving before moving to another button or tab and still have issues. Is there a workaround for this?
Hello. I'm at my wit's end with this one.A slide video in .mp4 format plays fine in captivate timeline preview, but when previewed in browser or scorm cloud, the file is a black rectangle. Video audio continues to play, but there is no video. A month ago this issue was occuring and after filing a support ticket with Adobe, and not getting any resolution from them on it, somehow it miraculously stopped happening, so I moved on. I have no idea what ultimately fixed the issue. Then after needing to add some new audio, thinking now I was finally ready to release my module, I did one final save and publish to check things in Scorm Cloud before uploading to our LMS. Well, the issue has returned. I've tried: renaming the video file and reinserting (which has been a workround for audio files that do not play after the first instance), I've tried exiting captivate and rebooting my computer, checking for updates. I've tried deleting the video content area from the slide and rebuilding
It would be great, if anyone has an idea for solving that problem.I am using Captivate2019 and Scorm1.2 to HTML5 as a zip-file to upload in moodle.
Hello,I'm quite lost with this so maybe could show me the good path. Firstly, to prevent blocks of text from being pixelated, you can insert an empty variable in the block, which forces the block to render dynamically. This works very well for export, but as soon as I publish to my Moodle (through a SCORM package), the empty variable is converted to a '0' in my text block. Is this just due to the type of export or have I missed some extra 'trick' to make it work? And secondly, I have a slide with lots of definitions to give (a kind of glossary). To keep things simple, I thought I could insert 2 variables (title + definition) in a block of text (see screenshot) and that by clicking on my various label buttons I could assign the 2 variables with a shared action. Once again, the principle works well, but at the start (before selecting the first label) or when I return to the 'empty' state by assigning an empty variable to my 2 variables in the block, it displays "0" again. Hello, In all new captivate can you create logic questions that enable you to jump to a slide if the learner has clicked a certain answer and then jump to another for another answer?
Here are the facts: I’m running Captivate 2 on Windows XP Version 2002 (Service Pack 2) on a 2GHz processor with 2GB RAM and plenty of unused disk space (26GB free). MS Outlook is usually running while Captivate is open but no other apps. I’m connected to a corporate network and don’t know what might be going on undetected (virus scans, other apps auto checking for updates, etc.) and my Captivate file is huge. The file size is166MB, 497 slides; I know… it is enormous. Everyday I delete unused objects in the Library trying to stay as lean as possible. Even before this file was larger than 90MB I noticed serious response issues when opening and saving the file. Often during a save Captivate would hang and go into a “not responding” status and I’d end up being forced to use Task Manager to end the job. Considering my system sizes provided above, is my file size just too large? Are there limits to what one should expect from Captivate? Do I need additional memory to work with Captivate fil

Hello, I chose a google web font for my LMS knowing it would offer the most flexibility, the font is called Inter. However, when I edit my theme in Capitvate (12.2) I do not see Inter as an option under Google Fonts, there are some other big ones missing as well, like Open Sans. It is showing my system version but obvioulsy I would like to use the one from google so I can be sure it is loaded on all devices, it is also not showing all available weights from my system font; only regular, bold and italic.
Hello, ist it possible to publish a Captivate course to PDF?So i can share all slide on PDF slides? I use the all new Captivate Version 12.2.0.19Thanks for response
Hi thereBeen working on a responsive course. And I origonally used PNGs on my smart shapes for the buttton designs. Simple graphic with text. BUt when the project is played on a Mobile phone (in my case a Galaxy S8) The text goes to super low resolution. So I then went to Graphic with no text, and text overtop within captivate. Get slightly better results, but the text does not scale down small enough to fit within my buttons without getting the "show more" popup, I cannot have this. So, then moved over to using SVGs, App looks how I need it, Text is crisp an readable on all devices I have tested on. But now I have an issue where it takes forever for the SVGs to load. I have 2 custom states on my buttons, so It has 5 SVGs to load. But it takes about 1 second for them to load up. which does not look great. There is also an issue on iOS where the SVG buttons require a double tap, but when I tried it with PNG buttons, it worked as required.SO really,
I have a valid license for Captivate 2019, but all of a sudden since the last few hours, attempting to launch the application displays this message "Unable to start your subscription for Adobe Captivate".... the application then freezes and crashes eventually. Can someone please help me fix this issue? TIA. Vivek
Hi There I'm using a trial version of Captivate to create a module for publishing on an LMS. I'm using a mac and the sofware version is 12.2.0.19 The training module has no questions attributed to it (I'm asking the user to click through each slide (of a 5 slide deck). After exporting it as an SCORM 2.1 to an LMS run by another company, the module won't show up as completed. Part of the problem is that the preferences pain looks very limited and nothing like the preferences set-ups I have seen on on-line tutorials - making it impossible to compare the settings. The company running the external LMS tell me they receive SCORM files created from other people and have no problems with them. Second issue is that when i'm previewing the module, the final slide (of a 5 slide deck) is visible for a couple seconds and then the preview closes. I have placed 'Next Slide' buttons on each of the slides that allwork perfectly on the preview but I cannot get the last slide t
HI,Been using the "All new" Captivate this week for a project. Primialrily because it seems to have a better repsonsivness workflow than classic.Done a quick test with about 8 slides, and it all seemed to work. So have since built out the full app totaling 76 slidesHow ever, no when I preview, or publish it and run it on SCORM Cloud, I have only managed to get a maxmium of 5 slides in before I get a " Something went wrong!" message. But other than that I get no other messages or errors, unless I am looking in the wrong place for logs?Any one have any idea what may be causing it?Is this a know bugMy app is fairly simple.Using Image blocks for layouts, and putting interactions on the buttons to change states and go to next slide.Ay insight would be greatly appeciated!Cheers!
Hello, I am using Captivate 2019, not connected to an LMS. HTML5 published output will only be played on laptops (Linx OS, Firefox browser) I have 2 captivate files - one is a training course, the other is a quiz. Both were built at a specific screen size (1280x720) and when published (to computer) for HTML5, the 'Scalable HTML content' checkbox was NOT selected. It has since been decided that the training program and quiz output should be scalable. When I selected the checkbox to publish the content as scalable, some of my buttons 'broke' - that is, they no longer functioned as buttons. By 'buttons' I mean Smartshapes that I select to 'Use as button'. So I had to clean up a lot in the training program but got it to work eventually by re-making/re-adding some of the buttons (Smartshapes used as buttons) and reattaching the code (I hope this makes sense!) For the quiz, I remade/re-added a button (Smartshape used as button) on t
I am using the latest version of Captivate, SCORM version 2004, 4th Edition. If I replace a SCORM package (This SCORM package is a quiz only, no branching, set of 10 questions) in my LMS, the scores of the people who have already taken the quiz disappears/gets deleted automatically. How can I prevent this? I want to be able to make small, cosmetic changes in the quiz, and replace the quiz in my LMS without causing any scores from the replaced SCORM zip to disappear.
Both of these apply to the new adobe Captivate, not classic. 1. Is it possible to disable the 'Review Quiz' button/feature if the user has failed the quiz? 2. Additionally is it possible to allow users who pass/fail to review the quiz, but only see questions they answered incorrectly?
In the all-new Adobe Captivate a block containing 3 buttons insists on lining up vertically in mobile phone view on top of each other even when the buttons are changed to small circular icons. There is plenty of space in the mobile view for the buttons to be spread out horizontally. Am I doing something wrong or is this behavior intended?
I want to have a quiz of 10 questions that is selected randomly from a pool of 30 questions. How do I do this in the all new adobe captivate (NOT classic)? I can only find answers related to this about classic.
Maybe I am being too clever by half. Enterprise requirement is to have all training accessible for visually impaired. In my case, this includes adding a VO to the Quiz slides in Captivate 2019 "Classic". The VO is not proving to be a problem. But when I add Audio to the "Correct" and "Incorrect" response blocks - and these blocks are several words long giving the reason for the correct or incorrect response - "click anywhere or press 'y' to continue" involves a significant amount of time, not an immediate move to the next question. It acts like the slide is playing audio after all the audio has been played, but there is no sound. Just no action until several seconds go by before the next quiz question appears. Is there as "correct" way to add audio the "correct" and "incorrect" prompt boxes so the move to the next quiz question is immediate? Many thanks!
Self-Taught Captivate 2019 (v11.5) instructor here... with what I feel is a basic question but I can't seem to land on the full answer. We currently do not test or quiz; and I have not used any of the quiz features beyond simple multiple choice, etc. We are looking to expand our testing capabilities, and I am looking specifically for a type of solution that will test user's ability to repeat steps on-screen (.e.g, click the right menu) and then move to the next phase, selecting the right options, etc. I know I can create a multi-choice, yes/no, mix/match quiz. But I was hoping something else was possible. Because I lack the correct terminology, I feel like either this isn't possible, or I'm unable to find the correct answer. Could someone assist? Is there an ability to create a test that asks someone to select the menu item they would use to start a task, and then report correct/incorrect based on where they clicked on a scr
