My co-worker created a responsive project, but she didn't really understand the use case for responsive design, and now we have a bunch of learners who can't view the HTML5 (they have antiquated browsers that they cannot update) and I need a quick fix. Is there a way to switch over the Flash\html5 version?I have to fix this tonight before I can go home, (my co-worker is conveniently on vacation). Can anyone help?Thanks!

I need to embed a video in my current project, and I want users to be able to skip back and forward, but I don't want a skin over the whole project. I used Vyond to animate and that only exports .mp4 files. First, I tried to add "Interactive Video," and use buttons keyed to specific bookmarks to achieve this. For example, My forward skip buttons worked this way: Once a bookmark is passed, the button keyed to it is supposed to time out and the next one should appear to replace it. The problem is, once I click on the skip button it won't dissapear like it's supposed to, so it jumps to that bookmark when clicked, no matter how many bookmarks are passed. As a solution I tried adding the video with "Insert video" up in the toolbar. That way, I could put a skin on just the one slide. that fixes the navigation problems, but when the video is paused it doesn't pause the slide. So the slide ends at the end of the duration time, regardless of whether the video is over or not. If the user ha

Hi team!Every time I open Captivate, the log-in pop-up above appears. Upon entering the login ID, it displays the above message and the application closes automatically. HelloI'm having a terrible time using adobe activated fonts in my responsive Captivate project. I have the fonts activated and one of the fonts shows as an adobe font in my Captivate project, but the other two do not. The other two are installed on my computer; however, when I uninstall them they still do not show as options for Adobe fonts in Captivate. I need the fonts for other projects as they are company fonts, so have to have them installed.I've tried going through Adobe's customer service assistance, and they were unable to get them to appear as Adobe fonts in Captivate as well.Ultimately, I need them to publish with my Captivate project on our LMS, as they look very different than the websafe fonts that replace them. Has anyone had this issue? How were you able to solve it?I have Adobe Captivate 2019 11.8.0.586

Hi,After publishing a video demo (Captivate 2019), the audio is extremely quiet for the first 2 or so minutes.  These are training videos and it is not a good end user experience.  Has anyone encountered this before and is able to provide a solution?  Many thanks in advance. 

Hi, I have published a demo video (done this many times before) in Captivate 2019.  However, when reviewing the published video (it is for training purposes), in sections, I can hear the trainers voice twice, talking over herself.  I cleared the background audio after I recorded the training.  I've subsequently gone back to the recording and checked and cleared the background audio (there was nothing there) and republished.  I can still hear the "voice over" in the background, despite all of this.  Can someone please provide me with advice on how to remove the doubled up audio / voices.  I need to get this training video out to users asap.  Many thanks.

Is it possible to use software simulations as random questions for an assessment?I would like my participants to complete software simulations rather than answer questions for an assessment. I need to have 10 pools with 5-10 questions in each pool. Between 1-5 questions to be used randomly for each pool in the assessment.

Hello, I am trying to record a video of my screen to create some content on how to use new software however I have come across a strange issue. No matter what I select to show in the demo (select window, application, set custom screen size), once the video is complete all I can see on the recording is the wallpaper of my computer. I can see the video of me in the corner and my curser moving around the screen but the window I'm working on is gone! When I am recording the video everything looks perfect and is definitely within the red box. I am using a Macbook if this is helpful. Can anyone offer any advice?

Hi there, I have published my SCORM 1.2 file and it is working well! The only exception is that when plugged into an LMS, the beginning screen's large play button does not actually begin the project. The play button in the lower left of the skin and player controls DOES work; the large one does not. Is this a browser issue? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Hi ThereThis is probably a long shot, but looking to see if anyone has had any expereience with this in the past.We are looking to create a SCORM elearning module, which has some 360 video sections to it, but wanting to have it run like a Driving Test Hazard identification.  So as the video plays and the user is looking around, we can have the hot spots appear and disapear using the timeline.I can have the hot spots appear at the correct time, but they just remain there for the rest of the video, which is not ideal for the type of video we will be using.   It is more of a fly through than a stationary clip.Another thing we would like to try and disable is the Hotspots pausing the slide.  Is there a way to have it so the video keeps playing even if the hotspot has not been pressed.   A pause in the video would make it obvious that we have placed a hazzard in that location.I know this is easy enough to do with the timeline, and various actions in a normal sl

Hi, I'm trying to create a Text Entry Box that will 'refresh' on user submitting (hitting enter) for the duration of a video, but retaining the first entry variable,on a 2nd slide. ie user is to note timecode and type short comment, the users multiple inputs from the 1x TEB are to be stored on another slide. The possible number of comments are completely of users choice.  Would also like the comments to be assessed to potentially a 3-5sec window.ie if TEB entry started within 5secs of something happening onscreen. I have noted on other posts this is possible by having objects appear 'off-stage' and using 'if' statements. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in adv - Tracy.

Hi, I am getting this message on the screen. In the help I am finding some tools for this error solving.  I am changing adobeCaptivate.ini file adding Use32BitJVMForPublish = 1. The problem is not resolved. In the next step is mentionned : Invalid characters are present in text fields such as Project Information, Email, Description, Name, and Slide Name in your project. What characters should i look for as not allowed? Can you advice? I have more own courses. Some of them are with this error, some of them are working without problem. Thanks

Is there any way to make a drag and drop interaction in Captivate 7 that does not require the use of the Submit button? I would just like to advance to the next slide once the learners drags the object into the correct position. This is part of a computer demonstration in which dragging and dropping is part of the way the system works. In the audio we ask the learner to click in on a certain object and drag it to a certain area. Or, can I change when the Submit button appears – for instance can I have it appear after several seconds have gone by? Right now it just sits there for the entire slide and there seems to be no way to modify it.

Hello, When I go to File>Record New>Software Simulation I get the following error. I can't find where the Display Settings are to follow these instructions. Can someone help by telling me where the settings are and/or how to fix this issue? Error: Capture is disallowed since mismatching displays were detected. Hello All, A SME was unable to complete a SCORM 2004 3rd Ed file, so I first replicated the issue in the LMS (Adobe Learning Manager). Next I went into Captivate and looked at the slide where he discovered the problem. The slide itself does not have anything unexpected in its objects, actions, etc. that would cause the issue, which is simply that when all of the 4 buttons with answers in them are not executing the "Jump To Slide" action they're all assigned (navigating to 4 different slides for particular-mistake-specific remediation). I removed all pauses from buttons, and rearranged slide orders to utilize the "Go To Next Slide" action instead of "Jump To Slide," even though neither should matter in theory. FINALLY, after a dozen guesses (and previews of the project) at different things it could be, I clicked the button with the correct answer in it (which is triggering all objects not be able to be clicked any more) and sat in frustration for about 30 seconds racking my br

I created a survey and have about six survey question slides set up.  I need help setting up an action where depending on answer that is given it goes to a specific survey question #. for example question #1 is a yes/no answer.  What setup do I need to do exactly where if someone selects "yes" in question #1 it goes to question #2.    If someone selects "no" it will then go to question #3 instead.

I have two old licenses for Captivate. Version 1 and version 3. I only need these versions as I don't use it often enough to warrant a subscription. These did the trick fine when I was using it. Where can I download these older versions?

Upon trying to open any CPTX file I was able to open with no issues, I can no longer open any files. Prior to uninstalling and reinstalling the Captivate, I was not able to open a blank project - I can now open a blank project.  Please see error below that I have already seen as I know it is not helpful given this has been brought up in prior posts and is displayed for many different issues. I have plenty of space on my computer, I save files to my computer that are also loaded and pulled down from a server. I also save files to and from SharePoint. All of what I do has never been an issue prior to today.  I have cleared my cache folder/files, I was on version 11.5.5 and ran the update. Hi! Something weird started to happen with my source files, despite not changing anything in them or Captivate. We are using Myriad Pro family font installed locally in Windows. Adobe CC fonts are disabled. Never had any display issues. Now all of the sudden there's a pop-up "This project will now link to your Adobe Fonts account" when publishing and text captions containing variables get reset to some default (times new roman?) font. In the editor, everything looks fine. Regular Myriad Pro text also looks fine. I am creating a scenario based module for work that has a little helper guide in the top left-corner of the screen. If you click on the guide image, helpful text is shown along with an 'X' to close out the text. Easily enough, you click the X and that hides the helpful text +  close button. I have been using Shared Actions; the entire thing is incredibly simple.THE PROBLEM:When testing the module, anytime I return to the screen with the helper icon, one of the states of text will be visible on screen. If I click the helper icon, the text "shows" along with the X to close. When I close it, it all hides like it is supposed to.I don't know how to  fix this so the text does NOT appear when returning to the page. The shared actions are reading correctly, so I'm not sure what is happening here. 😞Does anyone have any insight? Has this happened to you before? How did you fix it?
