Bonjour, en mode normal tout mon texte est surligné en bleu, en mode aperçu, plus rien. Je n'arrive pas à comprendre d'où ça vient et à supprimer ce surlignement bleu qui me dérange.

Comparisons between Original, Illustrator and the weird InDesign Bengali typesettingAm trying to typeset a document in Bengali. This is using a Bangla font from Adobe Fonts. I could get it to match the correct wordings using Illustrator (with “Show Indic Options” selected under Preferences, but I cannot get it to work in InDesign even with the Language set to “Bengali (India)”. I tried selecting “World-Ready Paragraph Composer” but it looks even more “off/wrong”.What am I doing wrong? I tried installing the middle east InDesign but it’s still the same.I have tried troubleshooting with the Adobe live support and had a 40 min call / remote desktop sessions with them but they don’t understand what’s the problem either.Please help as I don’t want to rely on Illustrator for this book I am working on!

Almost everyday, I have an issue where the top of the InDesign window is off the screen, which means I can't move the window around to position it properly on my monitor. The solution I've found is to use Mission Control to shift the InDesign window on to another monitor, which typically shifts it down just enough to be able to click the top of the window and drag it down more. Sometimes resizing the window will cause it to pop back on to the screen properly, but that doesn't always work. I'm flagging this because it doesn't happen with any other Adobe programs, and it's consistent enough to be really disruptive to my workflow.As an aside, multiple-monitor performance across Adobe programs is quite poor in general; pop-up windows for things like exporting, effects, etc. often appear on different screens at random, and still do so even after being repositioned in a prior use. After updating to InDesign 21.5.1, basic functions such as dragging and dropping images, Ctrl+S, and Ctrl+Z stopped working properly.Three days ago, I downgraded to InDesign 21.4 and continued working on my project.However, when I tried to reopen the file I had worked on yesterday, InDesign would no longer launch properly.I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Creative Cloud, but InDesign is the only application that still refuses to work.I also used the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to completely remove InDesign and then reinstalled it, but the problem remains. When I launch InDesign, only the gray bar at the top of the window appears, and nothing else works. I cannot interact with the program at all.Even when I open an existing InDesign document, I can only see the preview. My Indesign hangs and then I have to restart it whenever I use links or update links. I've tested with all documents on the hard drive and a portable drive - same thing. It is driving me mad. This is on all documents, not just one. Any ideas?

hi, i am currently in y13 (uk) and i am looking to get a new laptop which can run photoshop and indesign because they are what i use for my media coursework and my current laptop can only run photoshop. i would also like my laptop to last me as long as possible (atleast through uni!) and also preferably be lighter so i can take it with me wherever possible so i can finish work on the go any suggestions would be highly appreciated!! obviously cheaper the better but i wouldnt mind investing in a good laptop if it will last longer, ive heard macs are good but i am a hardcore fan of android/samsung so any other suggestions that arent apple would be amazing :)

I placed a PSD file with transparent background into InDesign, and it adds white background to it. I checked the fill on the frame, but it set to none. I worked on the file two weeks ago and it worked fine. I tried placing another PSD file in a new ID file, but it also fails.When I click "view > overprint preview" or export the file to PDF it looks alright.I use latest InDesign CC, Photoshop CS6 and Windows 10.

Mac Indesign 21.4.1 Undo/Redo does not work. Plus stability issues. Never had stability and lagging issues with Indesign until last couple updates. Very frustrating and complicates my workflow. Need to force quite often as well. Bad update. I am thinking about reinstalling earlier versions.

Hello, Im looking to make a script to facilitate a mockup I'm doing, and usually i resize boxes automatically to fit the text or description, but for this one i need it to be one line only and make the overtext appears as "...”.I’ve tried looking for a solution but haven't found any so i came here. I tried tabulation but it just goes to the next line if the text reach the 3 dots, and ive tried looking at all the paragraph parameters too but i can’t find anything helpful (or i missed it).Maybe with a grep replacement ?Thanks in advice for anyone answering !

Hello! So my team and I have been adding alt text to images in PhotoShop and then using Object Export Options with “From XMP: Alt Text (Accessibility)” selected for the Alt Text Source. In InDesign, this works great. We can see the alt text. But it does not seem to transfer to PDF when exported. We have triple checked that the “Create Tagged PDF” option is selected when exporting to PDF. What are we doing wrong? Object Export Options exampleExport options selected 

Recently i was working on project. Saved with no errors. Now I cannot open that file, however I can open other files with no problem. Why my file is not OK anymore?

I have a document where a bunch of tabs have a leading . character. This is not set up in the paragraph (which has no defined tab stops) or the style or its parent style. I can find no explanation for it.Anybody?Update: There was a tab stop buried under the right-margin marker. This UI is a clinic on design failure. Look at this thing. 

Indesign often records screen and audio for a few seconds even if it doesn't have active permission. How is this possible? And for what reason? The screenshot is to show that no app has permission to record.   <Title renamed by MOD>

The latest version on InDesign was not working on our Windows 11 systems: it either wouldn’t launch or when using it, text will disappear in text boxes (even though it is still there) and the Undo action only performs one or two undos. Uninstalled and went back to InDesign version 20.5.1 which appeared to work fine until today: now I am having the same undo problem. Tested in a brand new document.It should be noted that coworkers with Macs are not having this issue.I saw a previous post that said this could be fixed by unchecking the GPU option in preferences, but that is NOT checked in mine (it is greyed out because it says it does not detect a compatible device).It is almost impossible to work knowing you only have one undo, please advise how to fix this!

I can’t believe this is happening again. We really should get some sort of discount or refund for all the time we’re wasting lately with this issue.After being solved, this problem shows up again with the last update. I suddenly lose all UNDO steps, past the last four or five, just like what happened a few months ago.If the problem is related with the History panel, JUST DISABLE THE HISTORY PANEL. We didn’t have this issue before the panel, so I guess it has something to do with it. 

I am able to hold shift and use the free transform tool to change my frame and object at the same time, but I need to be able to type in a specific width - it’s exhausting to try to hit the exact size by dragging, and In Design isn’t letting me get exactly there either. I need the two to be linked, because I used the frame to do some pretty heavy cropping, and I need that to be maintained.

Been experiencing this weird glitch/lag ever since I installed the new indesign update. Everything works fine and smoothly its just annoying this keeps happening. I just zoom in and out to make the page go back to normal before it happens again. Anyone know how to fix this?

Ich benutze Illustrator 2023 da ich auf meinem alten Mac OS 10.15.8 keine höhere Version installieren kann. Leider kann ich seit heute Indesign nicht mehr öffnen muss aber noch zwei Wochen ein Projekt fertig machen ehe ich mich um den kauf eines neuen Mac kümmern kann. Wie bringe ich Indesign wieder zum laufen, damit sich dies nochmal mit Adobe verbindet und mein Abo bestätigt wird ?

After importing from Word, I often find myself with an unneeded style that InDesign thinks is in use somewhere. I try deleting it, and it asks what style to replace it with. But since I don't know where it's applied, I don't know what to replace it with. So I have to fire up Find/Change, select the styles menu, scan through my ~100 styles and select the one to search for. Why can't we have a right-click option to "Find this style" right from the Paragraph Styles pane? We can do that for colors, why not p-styles? Is there any way to use scripting to accomplish this task faster than manually searching the F/C dialog every time? Maybe a script to add to the right click menu, or another way to search that would be faster. I'm curious if anyone else has a better idea for how I can accomplish this. Thanks!

Después de la actualización 21.5.1 cuando abro un archivo en Indesign e importo texto, o si por ejemplo tengo combinación de datos,  si el texto tiene acentos o símbolos como el del euro, se cambian por otros símbolos…. Le ha pasado a más gente? Soluciones? Gracias. 

I was working on a project using Adobe InDesign (on a Mac), saving copies of the file as I went along, as well as saving copies to my desktop. I have finished the project, and no longer need the 20 copies I have saved. I deleted the copies from my desktop, but they still appear in InDesign. When I try to click on the copies, it says: Either the file does not exist, you do not have permission, or the file may be in use by another application. The thing is, I am the owner of the files, and my laptop is now losing 20% battery/hour while it is logged off because the program is using so much energy. How do I fix this problem?

I am creating an interactive pdf with fillable text fields. How do I turn off the spell check for the text which appears as a red "underline" when I type in the box in the pdf? Thanks!
