Please refer to attached Screenshots 01 and 02.I am using a MacBook Pro purchased 18 months ago running Tahoe 26.1.Issue 1: in working on a document I realized that I had been spelling fall as Fall when typing the name of the season;I opened the Find function and set it up as shown in Screenshot 1;it finds the incidents of 'Fall' but clicking on the Change button results in no change;what am I missing ?Issue 2:When I updated my computer's OS to Tahoe about 2 months ago I found a problem opening InDesign files:before installing Tahoe, when I launched the InDesign app I would get a window that resembles the window shown at the bottom of Screenshot 02. I say 'resembled' because, while that window in Screenshot 02 shows recent files, they are not actually the most recent files  - e.g., the window at the top of Screenshot 02, the file in which I was doing the Fall search/change, has today's date 251123.00, but none of the "Recents" shown in the window at the bottom of Screenshot 02 are

I have been trying to place a PDF file into InDesign, and it converts 9/10 pages into .indd format successfully, but then the error message "unable to set boundary box" appears. I am unable to close it or click anything behind the screen to try and ungroup objects or see what is causing the issue.

While working on a magazine in InDesign 21.0.1, my file (which I only had saved in the cloud) suddenly got corrupted (I think); and InDesign promptly crashed. The anchored object needs to be at the top of the Text Frame, but move along with the text  if the text moves. (wherever it's anchored.)Doing this in the "standard" way doesn't work if it has to be on the top line in a Text Frame.Thanks thanks 

I want to disable InDesign V5.0 on an old PC. There's no "Disable" option in the HELP menu.How do I do it?

This setting seems to be on a per-file basis now, not for all InDesign files. That's different than before InDesign 21.0.1 x64.I can select it in one file, but when I open the next file, it's off again. Also, all my Typographer Quotes are now straight quotes, and to change them I have to open each file, turn on Typographer's Quotes, and search and replace. If I just search and replace, the files I haven't updated the preferences for keep the straight quotes. Windows 11. Beginner InDesign user.

hello, i am working on a book (currently in dissertation form) that has endnotes at the end of the entire book. right now, the endnotes are auto-populating on the very last page of the document. after i made enough endnotes to fill up that page, rather than stopping at the end of the page and starting a new endnote page, the footnotes are bleeding off of the page into the blank in-between space. i'd like for the endnotes to fill up multiple, continuous pages. i have tried a few things that have not worked, like copying some over to a new page, or attempting to figure out how to add a second endnote text box on the next page. thank you! 

There is a command to recompose all the stories. It is:Ctrl + Alt + / I want to invoke the same command using this method:app.menuActions.item("$ID/Show Rulers").invoke(); Instead of "Show Rulers" how do I write the above command. Thanks

Im on the brink of waving InDesign goodbye, when this happens ever egain. After Updating InDesign to 20.3.1 every window with a previous checked "preview"-checkbox gets reverted to unchecked – Every. Effin. Update. Is this really neccessary??  

Takes forever to switch from open file to open file!!!!!!! And also takes forever for placed image files to show high res. 

This my first posting here. I am an 86 year-old retired minister of the Uniting Church in Australia, formerly Methodist. I have a large number of sermons, orders of worship, articles etc saved on my computer, many of which are in InDesign format (from when I was a paying subscriber to (I think) CS6. My understanding was that I had purchased a lifetime subscription to InDesign, but I can no longer retrieve them. I have a text frame in Adobe InDesign with around 100 lines, each separated by a hard return (Enter). The font size is 12 px and I want the line height (leading) to also be 12 px.Manually adjusting each line is too slow. Is there a faster way to narrow the spacing for all lines at once, ideally without editing each paragraph individually?

I KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!I checked that keep options are set to "anywhere"Now that I got that out of the way, Whenever I press do a return, or a soft return, the text on the right of my cursor just dissapeares, no matter how much room there is in the text square. I have a file that has 2 pages and currently I have a data merge .csv attached to the file that allows me to create individual PDFs for each of the 54 companies. Problem is that I must create each of these one-at-a-time which is incredibly time consuming. I'm curious to know if there's a way to automate the merge to individal PDFs that is accurately named to each company? Is this possible and how do I do that; berring in mind I have no idea how to write a script. or make it run successfully. Thanks for any help I can get. Kim

Hello,For almost 2 years, we have been testing and debugging our PLNs in their release versions, as we could not get the debug versions to build/link, and it was still possible to run in the VS2019 debugger with breakpoints etc...Now, we have some quiet time, and I deceided to try to get the debug version of the PLN to build and finally managed to et the debug version of my PLN to build and link.But, when I try to use the "normal" version of InDesign to load my debug PLN, nothing happens.Do I need to also install the DEBUG version of InDesign (yuk!) ?Very best regards,Olivier

I have an interactive PDF created in indesign. I have hyperlinks in my doc that open/connect to pdfs in a separate folder where the hyperlinked pdfs are stored.  I would like to have this interactive pdf placed on a website maintaining the separate file structure and its links. How do you accomplish this?

Hello, Updated to Adobe 2025 months ago, and it was working last week until I needed a Mac update. It was not working after it needed an update (crashes on load and shows "not responding"). I updated my Mac, and it still won't work. MacOS Sequoia 15.5. 2022 Mac Studio Apple M1 Max.I have deleted Cache, Preferences, cmd+shift+option+control on start, reinstall, etc., and nothing has worked. Old installs are not working. I've never had this problem with any Adobe app before. Any help?

I’m working on the design below, and when I press W, the layout changes back and forth—see screenshots below. The version on the left is how it should look, on the right, how it should not look. The issue disappears after I restart the application, but it returns soon after. This is a significant issue for professional designers, it means we can no longer rely on the accuracy of what your software displays. Setup: macOS Tahoe 26.1, InDesign 21.0.1. PS: The screenshot on the right seems to display a previous step in the process, for unknown reasons.PPS: I’m not talking about how ‘W’ hides/shows the bounding boxes, I’m talking about the design itself changing.
