Lightroom Classic

Hallo, Wenn ich ein Bild mit Lightroom (14.0.1) verbessere (KI Entrauschen) werden die im Original enthaltenen Stichwörter verdoppelt. D.h. es gibt dann einen zweites identisches Stichwort, was ja eigentlich nicht möglich sein sollte. Aufgefallen dadurch, dass nach einer Metadatensynchronisation mit anderen Bildern der komplette Pfad des Stichwortes im Stichwort Fenster angezeigt wurde (siehe Anhang). Extremst lästig ... vor allem wenn man eine komplexe und umfangreiche Stichwort sammlung hat. Nachtrag:Ich tippe auf ein Problem mit Chars. Da in dem betroffenen Stichwort Buchstaben der Türkischen Sprache enthalten sind.Und es betrifft aktionen bei denen ein zweiter Datensatz angelegt wird, egal ob externes Bearbeiten (Photoshop) oder Verbessern. Lightroom is running extremely slowly and not functioning properly. It crashes frequently, takes a very long time to load, and often freezes during editing, which makes my work very difficult. I usually work with large wedding catalogs of around 2,000 photos, and this makes the situation even worse.I have already tried optimizing the catalog, uninstalling and reinstalling the application, disconnecting external drives, and even purchased an additional RAM card to improve performance, but nothing has solved the problem.In addition, I noticed that when my internet connection is active at the same time—especially when I select and apply changes to a large number of photos—my internet suddenly starts lagging as well. It seems there may be a connection between the two.Another issue is that when I lower the screen resolution, Lightroom crashes less frequently, but the performance is still not good. Hello, I have a new Fujifilm XM5 and I cannot import or view the photos on lightroom. And I want to work on original files. I have the version 13-5-1 of Lightroom and I have a Mac. Could you help me?

My workflow involves editing smart previews on another computer most of the time. Something seems to be broken in the latest update, because after making any edit to the image I get an exclamation mark with the message "Error writing metadata". I had no issue with this in the past up till today and did not change anything in my workflow or settings either. Current version: Lightroom Classic 13.0.1

I recently updated the drivers for my Intel Arc B580. Since then the AI masking feature no longer works. If I try to get the software to detect  anything (sky, background, subject, etc.), it attempts it and then gives up without creating a mask. It then turns off graphics acceleration with the message "Graphics acceleration is disabled due to an error." This is a real pain. Nothing else on my system is having a problem with the updated graphic drivers. Steve

I have a new(er) computer and would like to put my old LR 4 on it as it is just for pix upload/edit/file change. My download links are not working, per ADOBE, only the windows platform is no longer avail. Where can I find the Mac OS version? 2012 to be detailed on year bought.  I actually transferred the program from computer to computer, it loads, but crashes when I try to import. Any help would be FANTASTIC.....Thank you

I am unable to edit photos after the 14.5 update.  14.5.1 - did nothing to help.  I can no longer navigate through previews to cull images.  When I do click on a preview it takes ten seconds to come to attention.  To apply an edit it takes ten seconds for the image to show the changes.  I can't toggle between images because it takes 10 seconds to respond.  This has absolutely killed my workflow.  I have tried everything.  Went back to 14.4 but the bug remained.  Changed all sorts of settings,  created new previews for entire catalog and still nothing helps.  I have a new 2024 Macbook Pro with M4MAX - 1TB SSD and 64GB RAM.  Is anyone else experiencing this crippling bug?  

Hi I will spare the boring details but all of my missing photos are in the same folder (but have different parent folders so I can't correct it that way). I thought it would be easy to relink them using the "Find nearby missing photos" option in the Locate missing photo dialogue. But apparently that's been removed in v14.4??? Screengrab attached. WTF Adobe, why would you remove functionality?  I checked the Adobe help page for this and it still tells you to click that option in the missing photo dialogue. 

I have been working an an Imac 5K for 8 years and since the introduction of the face recognition mask in Lightroom classic, it has worked flawlessly even finding and masking people and faces which were pretty small in a picture.However, I very recently switched to a MAC Ultra M1 and did a clean install of all my adobe suite apps (No Migration but proper installation). Since installation, Lightroom classic is working lightning fast with very fluid navigation, ultra fast process of images, noise etc... BUT, unfortunately, most of the times, Lightroom does not find people, even on portrait where people are looking at the camera with a open and clean face.The only time it works i would say, it's when the faces are about a quarter of the size of the photo. If faces are smaller like in a full body group photo, Lightroom does not find faces.Why is that? Is there a fix to that? Is it. bug or is it due to the M1 ultra chip or GPU?Thanks for anyone's help.

I run Lightroom on Mac (M4 Mac Mini).  All pictures are stored in two external drives (primary drives).  The catalog is on another separate drive.  The pictures (and catalog) are backed up to some other drives.  Suppose that my primary drives die.  Can I update the catalog to point to the locations in the backup drives where the pictures are backed up?Thanks David

A new version if Photoshop Beta went out this morning and now all the Edit in Photoshop for Open as Smart Objects/Merge/Layers are all grayed out unless Photoshop Beta version is the configured in External Editing.  If I have the regular non-beta version, doesn't work.  Even if I uninstalled the Photoshop Beta version it is still grayed out. 

Hola buenas tardes, Publico este post porque estoy empezando a tener problemas a la hora de importar fotos a mi Lightroom Classic. Primero de todo es que es un bloque muy pesado al ser formato RAW para su edición, ergo, más espacio ocupa. Este aspecto es el que me preocupa, ya que cada vez que las importo, me coge el disco C: de mi ordenador (la memoria que trae el propio PC) y la verdad que no suelen traer mucha memoria de serie.Entonces me gustaría consultaros posibles soluciones, o bien alternativas. Gracias de antemano.

I just finished a Book in Lightroom (saved and sent off to Blurb).  I now want to move onto a new book with photos in another collection (no collection overlap).  When I go to the Book module, the pics from my last book show up along with the pics in my "new" collection.  (in the Library and Develop modules they do not show up).   If I do an auto Book layout, all the pics along with the unwanted ones are used.  Has anyone experience this and if so, how do I clear out this "cached pic issue"

Hi. I have a Sony E Mount Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 lens and I'm a bit confused about which lens profile I should be using in Lightroom. To my eye, the automatically selected built-in profile (whose info dialog shows the correct lens) looks a lot different, and worse, than the one that can be manually selected named "SIGMA 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN C023, SONY".   If I would like to use the manually selected profile instead of the built-in one for all imported files, how do I do that?    [Mod: Moved to the Lightroom Classic forum]  

Good morning.I have a problem with photos in Lightroom Classic.Often, when I reopen the program to continue working on the pictures is the information "pictures not found".Why doesn't the program see the photos I imported and worked with them the day before?What should I do to open photos and work with them?Please help.Regards Anett

Occasionally there will be 'fringing' like across the top of this plane in flight and wondering if there is a filter or help in Lightroom to reduce this chromatic abberation?

Nice to meet you. When I try to tether the Leica SL2 with Lightroom classic, Lightroom classic crashes. When I turn on the SL2, it crashes the moment Lightroom recognizes the SL2.   Restarting the Mac and SL2 repeatedly does not improve the situation. The OS is as follows. Leica SL2 Firmware 6.2.0 MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021 Apple M1 Pro Memory 32GB OS Sequoia 15.1 Lightroom classic Version 14.4 By the way, I was able to shoot tethered without any problems with Lightroom classic 13. If you know of any solutions, please let me know. Thank you in advance.  

Not sure if this is norm since I have not seen any documentation on it.I have made a few attempts to add GPS coordinates to multiple images in LrC  14.5.1 I discovered it will not populate all images within a selection with the same information. How difficult would it be to populate all within the selection?

ARGH Just made a huge mistake trying to free up space in Adobe Cloud Storage...removed a lot of photos from All Synced Photographs without realizing that also removed them from their collections. Any way to restore the collection contents??? Thanks–

I have LRC on Win 10 that can't upgrade to 11I have installed Creative Cloud on new Win 11 computer & put images on D drive.How do I install LRC catalog in Pictures in C drive?Thanks

Since upgrading to LR 14.4, I have lost the loupe info display in develop mode. Nothing happens with the keyboard shortcut 'i'.    I've checked in 'view/loupe info' and the display info box is ticked. I've tried toggling on and off, restarting etc. and I just can't get the info to display. Any suggestions? Thanks.
