Hi, if this question has already been posted, I'm truely sorry but I have quite a large non-professional library of photos and short clips. Mostly of our son and his growing in life. i started working on Mac so used iPhoto followed by photos on iMac. Due to age and backup necessities I pushed everything to OneDrive. Now this went perfectly but now I have thousands of unmanaged pictures.I'm looking for something manageable (the adobe multi-platform is in this the best in my opinion) to store, organise and most importantly use ai to recognize people. I think adobe covers all bases. but I also would like that I can set up the 2-3 (whether I push my sons pictures too or not) iPhones to auto-push new pictures to adobe So in case of crash, we don't lose anything. is this even possible. and it's correct I can work on Mac, windows and iPad (9th gen and pro 2020)? other option is ACDSee. Suggestions are also welcome. thanks!
I have read through some of the other questions and I don't see a happy path. I am wondering if someone had a suggestion.I am moving photos from prior years from and old PC to a drive and importing them into LR CC via MacBook. I am doing it old school because the PC doesn't have a great connection and that is a lot of files to move. The problem is the created date is being overwritten to today (day I copy it). The modified date still shows the original date the photo was taken but when it is imported to LR I have the most recent date and it is organized into a 2019 folder rather than 2013 (for example). So clearly it is reading the create date. There is no modified date in LRCC. (I believe there was in classic?) See the image if that isn't totally clear. Any suggestions on how to fix this short of modifying thousands of photos by hand in an interface that doesn't handle it well? Will code.
Hi all. I have a new nikon z7 ii. New sd card, new apple mac. It takes 2 minutes to upload a single photo from my apple to LR. I'm using raw NEF files. Any help, this will drive me crazy.
Hi all, I have a question and I cannot find a definitive answer on the web. I use Lightroom (not Classic) on my MacBook and I want to switch entirely to working on an iPad (so deactivate my MacBook and sell it). Two questions:1. Will this work or do I need to have a active MacBook in my subscription? 2. Should I switch to iPad (only)? And why or why not? What are the positives and negatives? Hopefully you can help me with this question. Jasper
Why did I have to learn from Reddit how to migrate from LRC to LR without the cloud? If you go to LRC and select "Write metadata to file" it writes XMP files and you can then simply open that folder locally in LR and have all your previous work (without going through the cloud first and only then archive it locally). Meaning LR team can implement a much better solution for those asking to move from Lightroom classic to Lightroom and not use Adobe cloud or go through loop holes in order to work locally.
quiero mejorar la calidad de imagén de un manual antiguo que tengo... pero el resultado me deja mucho que desear. He usado un programa AI. Image Enhancer. La diferencia es abrumadora.
The crop overlay does not show unless the disclosure triangle is clicked and the cursor is hovering over the name of the overlay. In my screen shot, the cursor is hovering over Triangle. If the cursor moves away, the overlay disappears. Press Shift+O won't toggle through an overlay's choices while the cursor is hovering and showing the overlay. The cursor has to move away, Shift+O pressed, then the cursor has to move back over the overlay name in order to show the overlay.Cmd+O does not toggle visibility of the overlays unless the cursor is hovering over an overlay name.I haven't rebooted the Mac as yet. I had just rebooted last night after updating the macOS from 14.7.1 to 14.7.2.I'm wondering if this hovering in order to show the overlay is the expected behaviour or if I should create a bug report. I believe that this is the first time I've wanted to see the crop overlay when using Lr, so I don't know if previous versions had this behaviour. In LrC 14.1.1 the overlay automatical
The new update is making the app crash randomly. Anyone else having the same issue?
Why does Lightroom export my RAW files with added contrast? And also in preview mode in Lightroom there is a contrast added which ends up ruining my photos. How do I prevent this from happening? I followed some videos but the settings they speak about are not present for me. Thanks..
SYncing to cloud continues to get stuck
It would be a great time saving option to have a filter for what clients or people like on my shared albums, I always find myself going thru thousands of images manually sorting out the liked ones.
Been using Lightroom (what used to be called CC) for several years now. Did not realize that it is cloud based only and actually only uses your local drive separately (and without the same functionality) and not both in tandem. Worked fine for a long time until I ran into an issue where the program forced me to buy more storage to sync my work to the cloud. Begrudgingly, I did so as I did not want to lose years worth of edits. Over three days, Lightroom synced my library of nearly 48,000 photos. Now, that it is done, 37,000+ of those have an exclamation mark error and Cloud Storage indicates these are 'invalid items'. What do I do? Previous posters instruct me to delete these nearly 40,000 images and then re-add them, but won't I lose my edits in this process? I feel like I have just lost YEARS OF WORK all for the privledge of paying Adobe MORE OF MY MONEY. I am beyond upset and late on a project. I never should have left Lightroom Classic. Basically, Adobe put a paywall on M
I'm using LR iOS 10.0.2 340050/173 on iOS 18.2.I've used LR on iOS for years, but suddenly the EXIF Date/Time info is all messed up for new photos. Off by 50~100 days, not consistent. Tells me photos I took last week with Halide and imported into LR were taken in February 2025. The photo exposure date is correct in the iOS photos library (where Halide saves them) but when imported into LR they have a completely different date and hour - however minutes and seconds stay correct. Anyone else seeing this?
Hi Adobe team, My new Lightroom version 8.1 is not working at all. All throuble shooting issues has been tested. Please assist.
I am considering upgrading from Lightroom 5 to a Lightroom CC subscription plan, so I downloaded the 7-day trial of the 'all-new' Lightroom CC. Unfortunately, I ran into problems immediately. When trying to migrate my catalog, I get this error message. How am I supposed to upgrade the catalog with a newer Lightroom version if I can't even migrate the catalog to a newer Lightroom version?Message was edited by: Gustav Nylund
All the instructions say there should be a camera icon, but when I open Lr mobile, there's no camera icon, so I can't turn on the camera in Lr mobile. How can I do that?
This is a long shot but....... I shot a wedding back in September and noticed half the family photos are missing. Is there anyway to check my deleted photos from that far back? I just want to make sure that they are actually missing and not deleted. The SD card and my external hard drive are missing them too but just in case they are out there somewhere I thought I would ask.
Hi bit of a noob to storage I've always used icloud and apple for my storage however i've always been aware im exporting In Jpeg and i could lose all my raw files on a external hd which is exactly whats happend (recovery is under way with disk drill and im a very lucky boy) so im looking for a storage solution. and why not go with adobe. Im paying £9.99 a month for LRC LR and PS but im confused, and this is why ive never used LR to upload my raw files. I have 20gb of storage and have very few files on Lr because of this as I said I have apple icloud with 4tb and I have used 3.22Tb the failing hard drive has 3.5Tb of data most of it is my RAW files. Why when if you look at the images do i have a 10tB plane but i can only store 20gb of images on LR whats the other 9.8Tb for and how do i get my raws safe once i have recoverd them Im open to ther solutions any help appreciated
Hello!I recently uploaded a few preset zip files to Lightroom, but two of the zips resulted in duplicate presets. To fix this, I decided to permanently delete the preset group that had the duplicated and then upload a single zip file. However, now when I try to upload it, I get an error message that says, "This file has already been imported." I've searched everywhere in Lightroom and can't find these presets anywhere. Has anyone experienced this or know how to resolve it?
Hi, I am currently on lightroom mobile monthly subscription. How do I go about changing it to a yearly subscription? Ive tried from play store but it only has option to unsubscribe. And there is no option to change in the app itself. I've tried from my account as well but it leads me back to playstore. {Edited the thread title by the moderator}
Lightroom (both web and MacOS app) is telling me my storage is full with 21Gb of my 20Gb allowance used. Following the "upgrade" link to see what my option are shows me that my account is the Lightroom plan with 10Tb of storage. Confusion is that I don't remember changing the photography plan for this 10Tb plan, but if I did then why is it telling me my cloud storage is full. I had better get straight what's going on here before I work out what to do next!
After the company I work with changed it's subscription plan I realized that I lost all Lightroom libraries, which I thought were saved locally. Is it possible to recover or migrate these files? Thank you very much in advance!
