Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

According to online help: "In Lightroom for mobile, there is no direct feature to automatically add the word "screenshot" to the caption of photos", yet when selecting an image to add to Lightroom mobile the metadata Caption field is changed to "Screenshot". I want to know how can I stop that because it overwrites the caption that I add in the Photos app. The online chat agent says it does that to help me organize my images, but I don't want it to do that. How do I turn off the automatic caption over write with "Screenshot"?

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing very slow batch editing performance on my iPad Pro M4 using Lightroom. When I apply an edit to a small batch of 5 photos, it takes almost one full minute to complete the sync. This seems excessive, especially considering the iPad’s powerful hardware. Interestingly, when I try the same operation on my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold (Android), it’s significantly faster and seems to work more efficiently, even running edits in the background. I genuinely prefer editing on the iPad — the user interface feels more intuitive and enjoyable than on Android. But this issue is a real letdown and interrupts my workflow quite a bit. Is this a known issue with the iPad version of Lightroom? Or is this behavior expected due to how iPadOS or Lightroom handles batch edits? Would love to hear if others are experiencing the same, or if Adobe is aware of this discrepancy. Thanks!Quan

I work with LR latest version on a Asus Vivobook Pro (Windows).after hardly a minute the program crashes. Even only by scrolling through images in grid view (local).after a minute it comes online again but it keeps on crashing.I also have Bridge installed. Scrolling through images gives no problems. Was thinking Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 is root cause but crashing keeps happening even after shutting of GPU in LR settings.Any ideas what causes this? have deleted and re-installed LR many times.

Apple mon changé déjà 1 fois le Mac car il est neuf , mais d'après eux le problème viens de chez adobe ... j'utilise Lightroom classique et la version "mobile" , le problème est le même sur les deux versions, j'ai en moyenne 5k photos sur le cloud. Quelqu'un peux t'il m'aider ? This issue has been happening to me since around the last update. When trying to Add an Object to the Mask, Lightroom freezes during Detection of the Object Selection. I've waited several minutes for the Selection to load, it has led to unexpected crashes, or just not making a selection for several minutes and I cancel the process.Version: 8.5.1 x64 [ 20250821-1548-c6398d5 ] (Aug 21 2025)Platform: Windows 11Lightroom Desktop

Paid for Lightroom Mobile premium. Can't access any premium features. The app says that it has expired but Apple subscriptions says that it is active and will renew!

I saw that there is already discussions on this topic in the community. However, the solution recommended by Adobe is not applicable, as all buttoms in the Lightroom App / Imports / ... Photos, Screenshots, Videos are already switched off, but the sync of iphone photos into Lightroom continues. Secondly, if I want to delete photos in Lightroom, which are syncronized with from my iPhone photo app into Lightroom, I receive the message that these photos will also be deleted from all apple devices including my iphone, which I - of course - do not want. So how can I avoid this? Can you please help me with my Lightroom sync problems? Thank you! Thomas. 

Hello, I am also facing an issue for some time now and I would like to report it.   I edit all my photos on the Lightroom desktop aplication and sometimes I like to check how they look on the Lightroom mobile app on my android phone.   If I edit a photo on my desktop and create multiple edited versions, I can see all of the different versions correctely named on the android app. However, when I click in any of these versions on the android app the photo actually reverts back to the original unedited version. Even the preview for each version shows the original unedited photo.   I have tried to reinstall the android app and had no luck. If you could solve this would really appreciate it.  I have been facing this issue for more than a month now and it is becoming unconvenient.    Thanks!

The Lightroom CC getting started tutorial states that the default setting on the radial gradient tool is to apply the adjustments 'outside' the 'radial'.  If you want the adjustment to apply 'within' the 'radial' you would click 'invert'. However, on my version (4.2) the default setting is to apply the changes within the radial, and if I click 'invert' the changes apply outside the radial.  I've been unable to locate where I can adjust the default setting for the radial gradient tool. Can anyone help or explain why my tool is acting in the opposite to what's described/demonstrated in the tutorial?

I have shared an album on the web and solicited people to provide likes and comments. I would like to filter in Lightroom on the images that have likes and comments.  Is there a way to do that without looking at each photo individually? Thanks,Michael

Hello, I just tried to upload a picture to Light Room app. It's saying allow access to camera roll. I go to settings like y'all informed people to do. Clicked privacy and went to photos and camera... there's no apps there that are requesting. I'm kind of at a loss of what to do? I have photos on an SSD from which I have imported and edited in Lightroom Classic with no problems.When I try to browse these same photos from the same SSD using Lightoom Desktop I receive the following message. " This Folder Does Not Contain Editable Files ".Can anyone please explain what is happening and how to rectify.Thanks

Every time I open lightroom on my Mac book it closes down with this error message There’s an issue with your system clock.To continue using Lightroom on this device your system clock must be within 24 hours of current time. We recommend that you check your system settings, adjust your clock, then relaunch Lightroom.  I have checked my system clock and it is correct and set to the right location.  I have run the check as advised and no issues were dectected.  How do I resolve this problem? Thank you

Hello everyone, I've been having a problem recently and I was wondering if someon can help me. I have my photos in a file in my MacBook Pro however I noticed that when my photo is loading it says Lr and then when it's about to open it opens up in Lightroom and I don't know why. The photos are in a raw format but I still don't understand why it keeps on happening. I'm a photographer and I have to give these photos to my clients and I don't want them to have this same issue. I hope someone can help me get the pictures to open and stay in the files area and not open up on Lightroom

I am getting tired of things working in one version, then not working and then working again...I have both the latest versions of LR and PS.I select an image in LR > Edit In Photoshop (command or menu item)The image is open in PS but it doesn't switch over so you don't know if it opened until you manually switch...Its really irritating... Another thing that has happened for a while now is: let's say you have a few images open in PS and you want to close them all. You close it and then LR opens up, so to close all images you have to keep switching back and forth one by one. it's a real pain! It's a waste of time and slows down the workflow.Updates fix one thing and break another one. Why release updates that come with bugs? I wish there was a Beta for LR for once so new improved things can be tried.LR needs a real overhaul. So does PS. The interface and UI are getting old.Same windows, icons and sliders from 20 years ago...Pop Up windows alway cover your work and need
