HiHave above complete with CD and code. After updating from Windows 10 to 11, I cannot get my version activated. The servers are no longer online. What to do?
Everytime I open a text box, it is already filled with a latin paragraph of some sort and have no idea why
Alt + Mouse Wheel Zoom to zoom out zooms WAY too far out.
Hello, In this musical score I send you, the background is yellow. How to make the background white ? I have tried to use this tool in "Levels" (see white arrow) (by cliquing on the background), but with no success :
Hi,I’m hoping someone can help me troubleshoot a persistent sharpness issue.I’m creating multiple web logo sizes (970×200, 728×150, 468×96, and 320×66) from a high-resolution PSD that contains layered vector elements and live text. I’m exporting as PNG using both “Save for Web (PNG-24)” and “Export As → PNG” with Bicubic Sharper and Convert to sRGB checked.Everything looks fine at larger sizes, but when I export the 320×66 version, the logo becomes noticeably soft or blurry — even at 100% zoom. I’ve tried:Starting from both EPS and PSD versionsDoubling resolution for Retina (640×132)Using Smart Objects, Bicubic Sharper, and different interpolation methodsTurning transparency on/offExporting from both RGB and CMYK versionsThe original PSD is crisp (including live text for the ® symbol), so I’m not sure why exports lose sharpness. Is there a specific setting or workflow that preserves sharp edges in very small logos? Or is this just a limitation of Photoshop’s rasterization at small pixel
I've been a photoshop user since Version 2 in 1990. Yes, I'm a dinosaur.I used to be able to make a selection with any tool, make my changes to that section, then make another selection and make my other changes. Maybe that doesn't sound like an issue but here's whatUsed to happen.1. make selection 2. level, curve, whatever3. make new selection4. level, curve, whatever5. make new selection6. level, curve, whateverand so on... Happening now1. make selection2. level, curve, whatever3. make selection3a. Why didn't photoshop make that new selection? Oh yeah. I made that NEW beautuful selection and I FORGOT to click off of that OLD selection before I started. So photoshop just ignored them both. 4. SIGH Loudly - Start again - make selection5. level, curve, whatever6. make selection6a. Why didn't photoshop make that new selection? Oh yeah. I made that NEW beautuful selection and I FORGOT to click off of that OLD selection before I started. So photoshop just ignored them
Dear Adobe :If you want to lose more and more private customers who used your tools (PhotoShop and Lightroom) for their hobby rather than business: Well done! Getting rid of the Photo bundle that came in at around 100 Dollars per year, and replacing it with a 1TB bundle (of which I need exactly ZERO mb) is but a bad joke.Switching to your competitors now, won't look back.Your stock speaks fot itself in this matter...Open for any honest response that is not the soul-less empty PR speak, that goes "We are sorry, we try to XYZ for our customers...", because we all know it's about the money. But in the end: How much is the value of a product, that no one uses? - Exactly...
I touched something on my keyboard by mistake, and now all my open tabs are gone. I still have one of the .PSDC file open, but I do not see its name at the top either. How to get back to my missing tabs (with the names of the opened files)?
Hi,I'm after some method of reading metadata information (specifically title, description, but what would be really good would be edit history as well) from a .psd file.I've seen this documentation https://developer.adobe.com/firefly-services/docs/photoshop/api/which seems like it might be along the lines of what I want - but it seems to be for a file in the cloud, whereas I want something that will work on a local file. There's also this: https://github.com/webtoon/psd which works locally and it gets _some_ information from the file, but doesn't seem to include the metadata like title, description, and edit history. Is there anything close to what I'm after available?
For a while now this has been happening when i open my camera raw files taken on an old canon 60D. It seems to be something to do with file loading or previewing because it just needs a bit of time before the full image loads. I thought it was because of a corrupted SD card but I bought a new one from a supposedly trusted source and it still did this. Please help! Is it a camera issue or an SD card one?
I'm having a big problem with some .psd thumbnails displaying weirdly now that I've installed Sequoia. I'm on a MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021 M1 running Sequoia 15.4.1. The thumbnails look very strange. Many have white grid overlays that don't exist in the document, others are plain white, others show every single layer in the document in a mishmash. Some are OK, however, I think it may be file-size linked or maybe linked to the number of layers? My old file thumbnails look fine but the moment I open or use a file some of the thumbnails regenerate and look terrible. In case it means anything, I also can't use the spacebar preview to see what's in those files or compare them as of Sequoia 15.4.1. This is so bad for my workflow as a graphic artist that I may downgrade my Mac OS (already tried downgrading Photoshop and that didn't help even when resaving files.)There's always been a problem with .psd display for files with channel masks (I wish there was a way to specify I didn't want ch
Hello. Hoping someone can help me with a Photoshop issue. When retouching, the selected brush size shows a smaller "cloning circle" than what I selected. The cloning seems more precise as well. It seems like a cursor preference because this also happens with the Healing Brush tool, and Burning/Dodging tools as well. For troubleshooting purposes:- I'm familiar with the difference between the soft/hard brush- Photoshop Cursor Preference is set to "Normal Brush Tip" and the cursor is set to "Standard"- My old MacBook Photoshop settings clone correctly (as well as the other tools stated above). Meaning, selected brush size clones the size selected.- I've cross-referenced the preferences between the two MacBooks as well. Both appear the same but am clearly missing something.- All my data was transfered from my old MacBook to the new MacBook Attached an example using different brushes. Thank you in advance.
Hello, the delete key for removing anchor points in the lasso selection has stopped working... the escape key for exiting doesn’t work either... with every Photoshop update, something always stops functioning... why? The program isn’t cheap, and I pay for it honestly... with every update, I face a new problem...! Does anyone know what to do about this? I can’t remove anchor points, and it’s really slowing down my work.. 😕😕
Hi everyone,I’m working on a few landscape photos where electricity poles and wires are crossing the frame. I normally remove them manually using the Clone Stamp or Content-Aware Fill, but it gets slow when wires are long or too close to the subject.Just wanted to ask what tools or workflow other editors prefer for this.Is there any faster method or a trick that gives cleaner results with fewer visible edges? Thanks!
clone stamp, healing brush, are not allowing me to select source to use
Thanks to all who put forward their interpretations of last weeks Lemon and Lime starter image. There were some great ideas and great translation of those ideas into images.During the two week period of this challenge, we have Halloween coming up. I got to thinking of Shakespeare's witches in Macbeth chanting 'Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble'. So, I've built a cauldron scene in Blender 3D using a fluid simulation for the fire and smoke, textured it in Adobe Substance Painter and finished the rendered image in Photoshop adding the moon surface from a NASA image.. What can you now do to bring it to life? For those that enjoy some realism, it poses challenges with the lighting, from the fire, and also the retention of the smoke and steam in front of any mid ground subjects. For other styles - just go for it. 🙂 The “rules”: Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry. Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decen
Hi All,Went to work on some photos today and was unable to open them either through Bridge or PS. Please see a copy of the message I receive in the attachment at the bottom of this. I use Windows 11 on a desktop. I am running PS and Bridge through the Creative Cloud program. They are both up to date. I've not had this problem ever and don't understand what is happening since I'm using PS 2026, not 2025. I am able to open the photos if I use the "open with" command and tell it to use PS 2026. I rename the photo and save it but when I go to open it again I get the same message that Windows can't find PS 2025 exe. Please help. Thanks for your attention. Sandra
I have two layers with Inner Shadow effects. I want them to have different angle. Why is it so that when I change one layer Inner Shadow angle, then also other layers angle changes.
I’m facing a serious issue with one of my Photoshop files. After my PC restarted unexpectedly, the PSD file seems to have become corrupted. When I try to open it, all the layers appear to be merged, and instead of my original design, I only see a red and green distorted screen.Details:File Size: 887 MBProblem: All layers and folders are missing — the file opens as a single flat image with a green/red overlayEvent: Corruption occurred after a sudden PC restartTried: I also tried opening the file on another PC, but the same issue appears.I’ve already tried reopening Photoshop, duplicating the file, and checking backups, but nothing has worked so far. Could you please suggest any way to recover this file or restore the original layers?I can share the PSD file if needed for further analysis.
Never mind, of course as soon as I posted this I figured it out. It indeed was a Windows 11 thing, even though at first it seemed it wasn't when I researched online. Admin, please delete my post. Sorry everyone!
Hi everyone, I’ve been a licensed Photoshop CS6 user since 2011. I bought it directly from the Adobe website back then and have been using it on my old computer without any problems for many years. Last week, I bought a new computer and installed CS6 again using my original installer and serial number. When I try to activate it, I get a message saying that I need to deactivate it from another computer — but I already did that before uninstalling it from my old PC. My Adobe account shows no activated devices, so it seems the old activation is still stuck on Adobe’s legacy server. I contacted Adobe Support, but they told me CS6 is no longer officially supported and suggested I post here for help. Could someone please guide me on how I can get my Photoshop CS6 reactivated on my new PC? I still have my original serial number, purchase confirmation, and proof of purchase from the Adobe website. Thank you very much for any help or advice you can offer. Best regards, Murat

Hey, as a relatively new user to Adobe Photoshop, i'm seeing if there are any options built into photoshop that will help me make templates for Custom MTG cards that I want to make for my private group. I know there are a few sites that can do it already without needing any special template, but I want to have full control over the cards. If there are any YouTube videos that you guys suggest as well, I would be thrilled to learn more. Thank you in advance!
Hi everyone, I’m building a Photoshop UXP plugin using React that automatically places selected photos into selected PSD frame layers. Here’s what’s happening right now: When I select 1 or more frame layers and then select photos, The plugin places the images on top of the selected frames (so layer targeting works), But they aren’t fitting inside the frame bounds properly — they appear too large or off-center. I think the clipping mask and transform logic is not being applied correctly after placement. Here’s what I want:Each selected photo should fit exactly inside the corresponding frame’s bounding box — similar to how “Place Embedded” with “Clipping Mask” behaves in Photoshop manually. I’m using batchPlay for placement and transformation. If anyone can share a working snippet or guide me on the correct sequence of actions (create smart object → transform → set clipping mask), that would be super helpful. Thanks in advance! 🙏—
This behavior is EXTREMELY annoying and is one of the reasons I use Affinity Photo application instead of Photoshop. There is absolutely NOT reason to keep a file lock on a file that I have closed from Photoshop. When I close a file, the file lock should be released, not doing so if violating Microsoft best practices. Don't even start to suggest this is for "better performance" due to poor coding ethics/techniques. The ONLY way to release the lock on the file is to exit Photoshop complete and wait about 2-5 minutes for it to release the lock. This IS NOT acceptable and violates just about every coding best pratices that exists over the past 40 years (I'm a senior software engineer, so I do know coding best practices).
