I'm trying to record menu items via scripting, and am coming up empty. Modifying the below, I've gotten it to show up in the Automate Menu as "Bologna", and record as "Bologna" in actions rather than "Scripts Name: "Bologna"" 1. How do I create an event ID for my script? I modified this one from Contact Sheet II2. How do I call my menu item properly with a script? I've tried iterations of: app.runMenuItem(stringIDToTypeID("Bologna"));And get the error message:"The object “<unknown> menu item” is not currently available."3. Alternatively, can I use runMenuItem for any of the scripts? How to delete action set through java extended script in photoshop 2025.unloadAction() is no more an action !!

In the last Photoshop 21.2.1 release there is a bug with the rotate view tool. In floating window mode when Rotating the View, the center of the rotation moves to a different area of the image - the compass doesn't stay fixed to the rotation point. In Full screen this doesn't occur. please fix.

  I'm getting a strange error. On Friday, I used Photoshop normally, but today, when I tried to open it, it didn't work. When I clicked the shortcut, it didn't show the home screen, and nothing else happened. When I accessed the Task Manager, it showed that the EXE file was open, but it wouldn't load.I've restarted, checked for pending updates (there aren't), and as a last resort, I deleted Photoshop and reinstalled it, but nothing changed. I don't know what else to do to fix this error. I'm working in an windows, and his updates are ok.

I purchased CS6 Design and Web Premium in 2013.    Have used it without problem...until the two computer I used it on crashed and are dead.    Can't boot them.I have downloaded and installed CS6 Design and Web Premium on a new computer.Download and install went OK.   I can use CS6 programs on a "trial basis".    Works fine.My problem is when I click "License This Software".I am told to sign in (to Adobe).     I do...The sign in appears to work and then a fraction of a second laterI see the sign in window again...   That loop continues indefinitelyAny ideas?  Help would be appreciated. More facts.     CS6 was licensed on the machines that crashed.The products page - https://account.adobe.com/productsshows my license and no indication that it's in use.The activated devices page - https://account.adobe.com/activated-devicesshows no activated devices.How to get my license accepted.

Hi, since the last 2 updates I keep having these problems, they are making me go crazy. First I can't open raw files from Bridge to Photoshop, I get a popup saying the file can't be opened due to a program error. Second, with the updates I lost all camera raw favorite presets and color profiles. And every time I close PS because I can' topen a file, camera raw preferences reset. I tried rolling back, uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, I tried renaming the PS settings folder, I updated my graphic processor. I think I tried everything... I run on Windows 11. when i try to use droplet im getting action is damaged and can't open message when using droplet.underneith of that is says the file was downloaded on an unknown date. it's giving me the same message no matter what drive im pulling images from.   

Ever since the update 26.11 I am unable to replace color by eyedropping the background swatch.   Image>Adjustments>Replace Color   When you click on the on result to change color, the color picker window opens. From there you could eye drop the background color from the tools panel. The eye dropper icon doesn't come up at all anymore when clicking foreground/background color.

I know this has to be a bug because the design of the Toolbox has been pretty much the same for thirty years. You don't switch it up like this. The Paint Bucket and the Gradient tool are always together. Now the Gradient tool is alone - right clicking doesn't give you additional options - and you can't access the Paint Bucket (which is a really important tool) unless you click the three dots at the bottom of the Toolbox panel. I had to ask Help to find it. Help then displayed the icon for me under the three dots. So yay. Now I know where the Paint Bucket is. Not sure why it's there, but okay. I needed to use the Wizard tool to highlight an area and then apply Paint Bucket to fill it with another color. Once I'd selected Paint Bucket, that was the only tool that displayed when I clicked the three dots at the bottom of the panel. One idea I had to leverage the power of AI that would be game changing and useful ,would be the ability to take A photo and automatically composite all the elements into layers, even to go as far as filling in the areas you dont see.So for example imagine a picture of a woman walking in front of a city with cars and buildings. AI could seperate the woman into the top layer, and the city/cars/ect into another layer and fill in the area where the woman was so if you move the woman layer there are no building gaps anymore. Maybe you could select how many composite layers you want to generate or maybe hand select a single element you wish seperate and composite for you to fill in the layers below.This is also useful for editing elements easier and work more freely.AI Video already sort of does this, and you could do this manually which is time consuming but instead we are just taking the same technology and using AIs'  compositing abilities in a useful way directly inside a photo edit

I see a lot of posts on sharpening but can someone recommend a best practice tutorial for sharpening?  I have heard LR is the worst place to sharpen but I input sharpen in LR (and sometimes output sharpen).  But I'd love to see a tutorial.  Is high pass the best way to sharpen for printing?  Mac 15.6.1PS 26.11.0LR classic 14.5.1

Ever since Photoshop 2025 on the desktop has come out I have been having a massive amount of problems with fonts in existing projects. This has been such a problem that I've actually had to reinstall Photoshop 2024 in order to work on most of my previous projects. I've just come to the point now to where it's extremely irritating that I can't use the software so I thought I would throw out a question here to try to figure out what's going on. In the attachments you'll see there are two different screenshots. One is from 2025 where the tax on the bottom of the shield is missing, and 2024 where it's visible. These are the exact same file being opened by two different applications. Being completely disappeared is one of the problems. The other problem is when I go to change text in an existing image it immediately defaults to a different font. I'm running Windows 10. My desktop suddenly cannot access Lightroom pix from Photoshop 2025. If I try to, the sidebar menu freezes and Photoshop shoots up to 99% RAM, which efffectively halts my entire pc. This issue started recently after a long period of working perfectly. Hey everyone, I'm so sad... i used to work with photoshop cs6 as im just using it privately and cant afford the abo. so now I got a new laptop and the old one I dont have anymore.. i didnt know you needed to deavtivate the old photoshop... so now it doesnt work on the new one and doesnt accept the product key.. is there anything i can do? it still shows in my account under bought products ... help would be very appreciated!

Today I saw that Photoshop was no longer installed on my Mac (M1 Pro) laptop running Ventura 13.4.  I had to reinstall and all my previous Settings such as Workspaces, etc. were all missing.  All other Adobe Software that I had previously installed was still installed.  Why did was Photoshop automatically uninstalled without receiving any prior notification from Adobe.  This is super FRUSTRATING !!!

Currently the Remove AI tool, works with distraction removal. It does not permit to draw straight lines. For example: A straight line from point "A" to point "B",  to remove digital artifacts. The Clone and Spot heal have this feature but frequently they are not the ideal choice. Draw backs to these two tools, Clone requires a source from which to clone, and Spot healing tool frequently, alters the edge itself. The Remove Tool, does a much better and cleaner job, especially where an edge is soft. I'm requesting for this enhancement because it is very difficult to maintain and drag a straight line with the Removal tool when the image is enlarged and the line extends across the entire screen of a 27" or 30" monitor. Please do not change this fantastic AI Removal tool, only add additional functionality.Cordially,René

For last few months whenever i try to paint in photoshop, brush automatically truns to mouse cursor while zooming(Z button) or Redo (Ctrl + Z) or paning (spacebar) as you can see it in attached file. Either i need to restart the photoshop or restart the file in order to work again. For the love of something, can you make the Free Transform tool's handles NOT snap to the document edges when Snapping is off? It's only been broken for 10 years. It's so annoying. If I wanted to snap to the edges, I'd turn snap on. Thank you.

When using the Apply Image feature (PS 2025) on a new blank layer above adjustment layers, is it possible to make changes to the adjustment layers below that will be reflected in the new Apply Image layer?  I use the merge setting option on the Apply Image layer.  I have found that the only way to do this is to delete the Apply Image layer, make the changes to the adjustment layers and redo the Apply Image.  Does anyone have any information on this?  Thanks!

I've been banging my head against the wall trying to build a brush panel plugin that captures the currently selected brush with its proper display name. The problem is that Photoshop's APIs keep giving me useles internal names instead of what users actually see.   What I'm trying to do:  - Detect the currently selected brush  - Get its real display name (like "Rob's Main Brush" or "Soft Round")  - Ideally also get the brush preview/thumbnail image   What I've tried so far:   1. currentToolOptions - This gives me crap like "hair 4" or "brush 4" instead of the actual brush names users see. Completely useless.  2. presetManager - Contains thousands of items but they're mixed with  tool presets, crop settings, text presets, etc. Not just brushes. Also has duplicates across different loaded brush sets.  3. brush property (JSON) - This has the actual brush database with real  names, but only seems to co
