Photoshop

Been at this past week with no troubles at all.Now all of a sudden Photoshop V25.5 refuses to open NEF or RW2 raw files. Regardless of whether I'm trying from Bridge 11.1.3.200 or dragging in the file or using the Open dialog.Trying to do anything like that causes it to just freeze.Possibly related? Spent most of yesterday playing with its generative fill AI and I'd left a file open all night that was a big enough one. My other versions of photoshop weren't behaving either so I removed them all and reinstalled the latest one. Also updated whatever I could and still can't get anywhere.Any suggestions??btw, using Windows 11 a machine that's powerful enough. 

After the recent update of Photoshop I'm having an issue with my Surface Dial's function in the app. The brush menu isn't working, if I select the brush icon my on screen dial becomes temporarily transparent and then disappears without pulling up the secondary brush menu which allows for brush size, opacity etc to be selected and controlled by the dial. I use these functions constantly in my work flow so it is certainly annoying although not impossible to work around. The dial seems to be functioning normally outside the app and can still for example control volume level or zoom in and out, but the primary function I use it for is brush control; particularly brush size. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?  I have tried: Unpairing and repairing the Surface Dial to the computer. Removing batteries to reset the device. Resetting the computer and resetting Photoshop. I am using the ~spaces plugin work around to prevent touchscreen crashes that came with the new update.

As far as I know Canves & New Document are same. Why should Ps use different name? 

Normaly I save Ps as *.PSD shows in first screenshot. But it shows now like in second screenshot. How to fix it?

Basically, when I have my selection cursor over items that are in the same folder, it has a blue box around the whole group. If I use the V hotkey to move items, it moves them all. I want to keep them in the same folder, but move independently. How do I do this? The nudge command works, but is very slow.Also, I see one of the toggles for making things visible (eye in a box icon) is yellow. Why is this?

Hello! Since the version before 24.2.1, which I just installed, my PS shows this screen below (it's the same for opening, saving or saving as). It doesn't show the screen contents, so I can't save any work. I hoped it was a bug from the previous update and that the next update would be resolved, but no. The same problem continues. Does anyone know of a solution?(Olá! Desde a versão anterior à 24.2.1, que acabei de instalar, meu PS mostra essa tela abaixo (é igual para abrir, salvar ou salvar como). Não mostra o conteúdo da tela e, assim, não consigo salvar qualquer trabalho. Esperava que fosse algum Bug da atualização anterior e que na próxima atualização estivesse resolvido, mas não. Continua o mesmo problema. Alguém conhece alguma solução?)  

Is it possible to align horizontal text vertically in a paragraph in photoshop? I have many files where there is a text change and the texts need to be vertically centered. However the lengths of the texts are different. In Indesign this is easy but I can't find it in Photoshop.

Hi,How do I reset the brushes to their default settings?I do NOT want to return to the brushes that come with Photoshop or make all the brushes disappear that I downloaded. I want to restore all the brushes that I have now to the settings they had when they first came into Photoshop (i.e. their texture settings, scatter, shape dynamics, etc).Thanks!

와콤 pth-660을 사용하고 있습니다.브러쉬 도구를 사용하다가 보면 어느샌가 빨간색 선 처럼 수직, 수평, 대각선 선만 그어지면서 브러쉬가 찌그러지는 현상이 발생합니다.이럴 때 작업표시줄을 클릭하거나, alt tab으로 화면을 전환시키고 포토샵으로 돌아오면 다시 검정색 처럼 부드럽게 그어집니다.이런 현상이 계속 발생하여서 많이 거슬립니다.문제를 해결 할 수 있는 도움을 받을 수 있을까요?드라이버 재설치, 컴퓨터 교체, 지난 포토샵 버전 등 제가 해볼 수 있는 방법들은 다 해보았습니다.clip studio에서는 이런 경험은 없었습니다. 

After the unfortunate situation with the mixed-up emails, I recently found out that all my plugins, filters, and actions have disappeared from my Photoshop. However all my Presets are still ipresent for Lightroom Classic. Is there any way I can retrieve my plugins from a hidden folder buried somewhere on my hard drive? Thanks.

I'm trying to build a very specific texture in Photoshop, and I'm a little stumped. Anyone know if this is possible? I want a field of dots that meets these 4 criteria:Dots are packed together tighter toward the center and looser toward the edgesDots don't overlapDots are not distorted into ovals (as would happen if I use Distort filters to spread them out)Dots are in a semi-random organic patternDots are all the same size [EDIT: Added this. Forgot to put this in originally—apologies.] I can do this in Illustrator with the Symbol Sprayer tool up to a certain point (see attached image), but then the program slows to a crawl. I need something I can do on a much larger scale. Thanks in advance!

The text below I did not type it appears in the text block when opened in Photoshop.  Downloaded the program today.  Curious if anyone knows how to stop it from appearing each time the text block is opened?"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Before the update when selecting layers in the artboard was easy as just moving the cursor above the graphic/text and clicking, now after the update it does not do it. I just selects the most upper layer. Now I have to right click and select the needed layer in the drop down layer, and text layers can only be selected with text tool. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd be more than greatful because Photoshop is getting more and more apsurd to use with each new update, it's getting ridiculous.  Cheers

I am attempting to sync photo folders from my Mac laptop to iPad, through Finder via cable connection.  I checked the box ”Selected Folders” as I want to sync several folders at once, and not substitute any out.  When I select the “Choose Folder” screen option (Below), the screen with several folders comes up…but there are no check boxes such that I can select several folders to sync at once.  I am thinking there is a simple solution, but I have not yet found it... 

Hi there! I work on the animation industry.We've come across a typical issue many times randomly about Photoshop files becoming corrupted and usless after hours of work. We create lots of visual content and it is very frustrating whenever that happens, specially during deadlines. I thought of an idea/suggestion to make this a bit less painful but I'd like to know if that would be possible to achieve in terms of programming as I'm not a coder of any sorts. If there only could be a way for Photoshop to take a simple and quick flattened screenshot image of the file you're currently working on everytime you save the document. So each time you save it, the screenshot would replace the previous one with the same name, preventing to take too much space by creating a new image every time. That screenshot would be created as a background process and stored in the same folder of the file maybe, or a folder of the user choice as default. This is not a solution for corrupt

Hi My name is Bill and here is my problem:My Photoshop ver 26.1 will not print on my HP LaserJet printer P1102w. All the other versions on Photoshop will print on my Laser Jet Printer. I cannot find, after many hours of searching, why Photoshop ver26.1 will not print under any circumstances. I need help!!!!! I am using an HP Omen computer with planty memory , speed Intelcore I7, Gforce RTX video card on Windows 11. All the other previous versions of Photoshop work without flawlessly.Thank you for you help in advance

I'm curious out to do a floating outline around the text as it shows in the screenshot attatched. I found  font a really like however i cant figure out how to do the floating outline. Ive tried  creating a "Stroke" layer and lowering opacity so im left with the outline which works, however when trying to resize the original layer to use as a fill, to creat the floating outline, it will just never fit properly, even by doing each letters individually.

Not normally bad at this but;downloaded the "stitcher"plug-in.now cannot find where to get photoshop (or lightroom) to send the photos to the extension.easy on a mac it seems - preferences, additional external editor, choose the stitcher. Easy!  I do not have that option though.  any ideas how I find external editor on windows photoshop??
