Photoshop

This is an extremely frustrating issue. I'm placing an AI file into a PSD file and the colors shift subtley. Both files share the same Display P3 color profile and are synced via Bridge. At my work we have experienced this issue numerous times and we are getting complaints from our client about it. These programs are 30+ years old and there should be no issue placing an AI file into a PSD. I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps to no avail. The only solution I have come up with is to export the AI file to a generic SVG web vector format. That solved the color shift issue and allowed the file to still be an editable vector opening in AI.  Adobe, please fix this issue. I'm using the latest versions of both programs. The native files should not be color shifting. 

Hi, I would like to ask expirienced Mac user for help.I'v just got new Mini M4, my first mac, and one of few functionality I'm missing is checking boxes in dialog windows without mouse, for example Resample checkbox in Image size dialog. In Windows they are accsesible with Alt+letter keyboard, so I dont have to touch mouse too mucha, but I still couldn't find a way how to check/uncheck them with keyboard only on MacOS.For me it is big workflow slowdown. Is it possible somehow? Thanks.

I know that it is possible to set a specific pixel size and resolution when using the crop tool. The crop border will then be constrained to the aspect ratio of your chosen dimensions as you drag and move etc. Then when you commit the crop it will resize the image to the specific pixel dimensions you have given. But, that is not what I want to do. Importantly, setting the dimensions does nothing to the crop border. If I have a 1000x1000 px image and specify a 100x100 px crop, the border remains at 1000x1000 px and I have to drag the handles to 100x100 px if I want to crop to a specific 100x100 px region. This is an absurd pain the backside when working with a trackpad, trying to hit the exact size takes way too long. I want to be able to set a specific size in pixels and for the crop border to assume that size. Then I can drag the crop around and get those exact pixel dimensions from the region I want.  I was a long time user of PaintShop Pro prior to Photoshop

Where did it go? I have tried everythign reseting the tool etc.. 

I have already disabled the default CMD+M shortcut on Photoshop, still the app wont minimize using it. I can do it on InDesign, but not on Photoshop. 

When I accidently click "Remove Background" Photoshop pops up a dialog to offer to remove the background. After clicking the X on the top right corner of the dialog, you would expect PS to follow commands and cancel the process. Oh no, it doesnt want to give up that easy. It wants to create frustration and heartache for you as much as it can due to bad coding. In proceeds to tell me that its "Removing Background" and when I click cancel, it does nothing except showing that its still doing something?? I had to wait until it looked like it was done. Cancel button does nothing even when its done? I clicked the X and this time it told me there was an error. Well, I knew that.    

Hi all, I was searching through posts about upres in LR and PS and was wondering what the latest guidelines would be for upres'ing a high res raw file.  Are other 3rd party apps still better then Adobe's?  Thanks,  Mac Sequoia 15.5LR 14.3.1PS 26.7.0

What causes this - it's happened several times over the years and I've never understood what causes this.Left side is PS right is PNG.I've tried saving with and without color option checked and it still comes out darker.

Running Photoshop 24.1.0 on Windows 11 64 bit.Suddenly, my Plugins sub menu has gone gray. Plugins Panel,  Browse Plugins, and Manage Plugins sub-menu items are all gray.My plugins stopped appearing in the now missing Plugins Panel. My Adobe Creative Cloud shows the missing plugins as installed. None of the plugins have been updated by their authors lately. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the plugins and get a message that they were successfully installed. I tried uninstalling and re-installing PS with same results.The Plugins that were actually legacy extensions are showing up in the extension window. All other plugins are unavailable because the plugin menue is all gray. Any help appreciated.

I just updated to 2025 version today and it has crashed 3 times on me. This is unacceptable, I've been using adobe for 10 years now and this version seems even more unreliable. 

The Hand tool just stuck, cannot switch to other tools in Photoshop. Funny enough, when this occurs, other app like Illustrator, InDesign, and perhaps other Adobe apps suffer the same problem. Therefore this is might beyond one app problem. I have tried some which other found working;Shift+SpacebarReset ToolReset PreferencesI also logout my Adobe, Quit everything named "Adobe" and "Creative Cloud". But not working at all. The only thing working is restarting my Macbook Pro, which is definitely not convenient if the problem occurs multiple times everyday. ----I see the pattern this problem occurring when I do split screen Adobe app with other app like browser (I use Edge) and I navigate the screen using pen tablet (I am using Huion H640) on my Macbook Pro M1 Pro. When I jump between those two different app, this problem highly likely occur. I have Windows desktop and laptop, this problem is non existent. 

Anyone else having a problem with the Harminization filter not identifying all Layers in the panel?There are times when I have had 2 Layers in the Layers Panel and only showing 1 when using the Harmonization filter. Layer I want to change is selected prior to opening this filter. Not sure why the Neural filters are kept in Beta mode. Some of these filters have been out for several years. Maturity level should move them out of Beta. Thanks 

I get this error message: Could not open “Bar-bellied Pitta Ken Behrens.jpg” because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete). These same filesa open on my froends computers with the same version of Photoshop. Thanks Sam

Hi - I'm trying to remove green background and replace it with Generative Fill but I keep getting a message that this cannot be done and a tip to review the guidilines. I use the same prompt that I've been using for months with no issues -- "blurred room". How to fix this? Restating Photoshop and my Mac hasn't helped ))

Quite often, I need the center of an image to be blurred. This is almost inpossible in the current Blur Gallery. The only way is to use a ton of Field Blurs. Inverting the Iris Blur should be a very welcome feature!

Premièrement, c'est fou que l'on ne puisse pas signaler facilement un bug à Adobe !Concernant les bugs rencontrer, le Premier, sur le Dynamic Text, photoshop reset la taille des mots que j'ai définie à chaque fois que je ferme et rouvre mon fichier. Très embêtant.Le Deuxième, j'ai ouvert un fichier datant d'avant 2019 et la transformation d'un calque est repassé en non homothétique pas défaut, il faut donc appuyer sur shift pour que le calque garde la même ratio quand je l'agrandis. Sauf que pour repasser en paramètre de base de photoshop 2025 je dois restaurer mon interface, ce qui est plutôt contraignant.J'en profite pour suggérer la révision de la création de gradient qui est tout sauf ergonomique ou intuitive (25 clic pour une couleur)et l'ajout de l'option, proposer de transformer son calque en Object dynamique si ce n'est pas déjà je cas,  quand on veut appliquer un filtre caméra raw.

Hoping someone can help me understand what I'm doing wrong! I made some designs on artboards and exported them in JPG format. When I open them individually, the format is correct (1920x1080) but when I combine the artboards into a PDF using Preview (mac) they show a white background on the top and bottom as if it was a full page. When I am in the export portion of PS, it shows me the transparent background on the top and bottom as well. I'm trying to figure out how to export JUST the artboard so that there is no background on the top and bottom.

Who knows how I can solve this. When I open a photo from LR in Photoshop it still has the original file name. (_33A4587) But when I want to save it, it suddenly gets the name of a folder (c 2025-Jill-14wkn.jpg@ 50% (RGB/8). Who knows how I can solve this, now I have to manually rename all the photos 

As title, after an unspecified period of time PS will randomly become unresponsive. Tried rolling back to 26.0 (which initially was fine, I had gradient bugs with 26.1) and that version is now doing the same thing. Disabled CR technology previews so AI stuff ('New AI feature and settings panel') is not in its own panel in CR and that makes no difference. The only Technology Preview I have enabled in PS is for precise 16-bit document previews. I use PS and Bridge. Tried clearing all caches and it's made no difference.  PC rebooting (Windows 11) has made no difference. It's a bit of a pain having to restart PS (by ending task in Task Manager) multiple times a day.

I have images I get at a set size for print so can't extend. Some are cropped to close so I shrink them a bit which creates about an inch of blank space around it. I will then use the magic wand tool to select the blank space and the expand about 7 px to get some of the image and then click generate or put a period then click on generative fill tool bar. Now it just gives a white border or a border that looks like a postal stamp edge. This used to not be the case. Something has changed. How can I fix so it fills with image?

Hello everyone, I hope to find someone who can tell me the reason for this problem I'm experiencing.When exporting the file from Photoshop, the file appears problem-free, but when opening the file, some problems appear, such as adding boxes or drawing outside the design.This is an image that illustrates the problem. I solved the problem by locking the file, but what I would like to know is the cause of the problem and whether there are hidden files in Photoshop.... file before export File after export

I'm creating a carousel post. On what would be my 3rd slide I have an image, text and a logo. For some reason when I export (save for web), the colors in the image and the logo get distorted-- a black and white tone. If I remove the image and export the same way, the logo's colors are okay. Does anyone know what could be happening?
