Hi everyone! I’m facing a strange bug in Photoshop that I can’t seem to fix. When I switch an image to LAB color mode, the option to create an adjustment layer for Curves becomes inactive. I've been using LAB in my workflow for nearly a decade and have never encountered anything like this. I perform this operation almost daily while working on my photos. But suddenly, yesterday, this issue started.I haven’t made any changes to Photoshop settings or done anything new. I’ve tried switching the file to 8-bit and back to 16-bit, converting it between RGB and LAB, and testing with different file formats like JPEG and TIFF. I even reset all Photoshop settings and completely reinstalled the software. I toggled GPU hardware acceleration on and off, but nothing worked.The most curious part is that I have actions that create an adjustment layer with Curves in LAB mode, applying specific corrections to the a and b channels, and these actions work fine. I work on a Win 11 Pro PC. I want to back up all my Ps Brushes before updating from Ps 2024 to Ps 2025. And, I want to back them up to a folder on my PC that is not in the Adobe presets file hierarchy on my C: drive. I know there's an "Export Brushes" option in Ps under the brush tips panel under the Settings asterisk. Here's the key background info & my question. I have a ton of brushes (Adobe, Web, custom that I've created). I have them organized into topline folders and multiple sub-folders under the topline folders. The sub-folders are where my actual brushes reside. If I click on a topline folder name and then Export will that capture all the sub-folders and the specific brushes (.abr's) within them? I want to retain the organizational structure and not lose any of the individual brushes when creating brush backups. hi everyone! first time posting here. i recently purchased photoshop and i seem to be having trouble saving a project correctly. when i hit save or save as, it asks me the path where i want to save it. i already have a few other projects that are saved "somewhere". i generally dont like to change paths so my question is...what is the original path where all my other projects are saved? is there a stock path?  im using a pc. thank you.

Hi,I'm using asset generator to export 200-300 assets for a UI layout.Is there a way to turn off one of the groups of assets? Maybe some syntax I could put in the group name? For example the top hud group doesn't need to keep exporting assets when I'm working on the bottom hud....and yeah, turning off Generate > Image Assets works, but it turns it off for all assets in the file.Thanks for your help!

Good afternoon, 2 years ago I made a photo with 96 layers and 1 photo in each layer. I thought I saved a version with all layers visible and named. I have to adjust a number of layers and when I now open the latest version there is only 1 (merged) layer known, the background layer. Is there a way to get the layers back (the history is empty)?Thanks Greg

Nor does it install 26, just hangs there and doesn't move, when I am trying to install. 

Is there any other way to remove Photoshop from my computer than via Adobe Creative Cloud? I received an ID through my school's email and I've already graduated, and I can no longer log into Creative Cloud with those IDs because they no longer exist. How [removed by moderator] can I remove Illustrator and Photoshop from my computer when I can no longer log into Creative Cloud? I can't uninstall Creative Cloud either, because I get a notification that my computer has programs under it installed.

Hello - I have two questions.  First, I have upgraded Photoshop from 25 to 26, and Bridge from 14 to 15.  After install, there are no icons in startup for  the new versions.  I can get to them by opening Creative Cloud.  Is this by design?  No more Photoshop and Bridge separate installed apps?  Below screen shot is after v26 PS and v15 Bridge is installed.  Second,  when I click on an image in new v15 Bridge, it opens the file in the older v25 Photoshop.   When I right click on the image in new v15 Bridge to choose the app to open with, only the older v25 Photoshop is there as an option to select.     Thanks in advance

How can I change the names of the currently selected layers? For example, if there are many layer names and I have selected only a portion of them, how can I rename the selected layers? Thank you, everyone.

The initial state of the PSD Right-click on the smart object layer and select "Replace Contents."After replacing, the image was enlarged.Please refer to the attached PSD and replacement image. 

So I am trying to copy a die-cut logo with a transparent background like I've done countless times I always use the magic wand to click the image, right click and "Select Inverse" and then I can ctrl+c to copy it to paste it into another .psd I'm working on But for the last few weeks everytime I try this technique, I'm getting an error saying: Could not complete the Copy command because the selected area is empty What am I doing wrong? Here's a screenshot of my settings

When expanding a cropped image to the original dimensions (after cropping about 1/4 off the top), with the center anchor point selected, there are two issues: 1) the expansion is not symmetrical, and 2) the expansion color is grayed out.With OS 14.4, there is no background layer. I attempted to work around these issues by creating a white filled background layer, but was unsuccessful for both issues. 

I'd like a new PC (yes I know you all use Macs!) for Photoshop (PS in particular but I also record in Cubase so it has to be dual purpose). My choice of graphics card is the RTX 4060Ti 16Gb but reading some tests the 4070Ti Super 16Gb has noticeably faster performance at some tasks as it has more cores and bandwidth. Is that performance that Photoshop could use though to make it worth the extra money (£400 more in the UK)? Does anyone have any real world experience of these cards?

I am using both Photoshop 26 and 26.2 Beta... In 26 the remove tool covers an area in pink higlight but does nothing. In Beta 26.2 it does work to remove the higlighted area but is frequently causing the program to crash.

Hi there, calling for help for CS2 printing problem recently emerged.Previously, my CS2 works fine for printing in Windows 8.1 professional 64bit OS to Ricoh 830DN PS version printer.But a couple of days ago, it suddenly stopped working in printing. And with this Error Message"Coud not complete the Print with Preview command because the selected printer driver could not be found. Please select a printer from the control panel and try again."The trick is the printer and driver are always there, And I could directly print from other versions of PS using them.I tried PS CS3， CS4，CS5 and CS6. They all work fine.So please, if anyone see where the bug is, do tell me how to fix it, Many thanks, please! 

I just bought, upgraded, and downloaded Photoshop 2024.  When I open it I see the usual Photoshop tool bars but I also see my MacBook Pro desktop in the work area!  The tool bars just ring around my desktop icons.  Very fustrating.How do I get the normal Photoshop background back? Thx...

My computer is brand new, runs on Windows 10, has 16GB memory etc. When I downloaded the trial version of PS it worked perfectly, now that I've downloaded the full version it lags horribly and keeps freezing when I zoom, rotate or try to change from brush to eraser.It's not the computer, everything else runs fine. And it's not my graphics tablet or driver as I've tried with a mouse and the trackpad.I've been through all the troubleshooting suggestions, uninstalled, reinstalled, turning it off and on again, had nothing else running, designated 75% of the memory usage to PS, made sure it's using the graphics processor and running openCL etc. It's driving me completely mad and I really need it to work smoothly for upcoming deadlines, has anyone had similar issues or might know something I haven't tried yet...?Thanks in advance
