Photoshop

Photoshop doesn’t remember the Layers panel setting—each launch hides it, requiring manual reactivation via Window > Layers. Tried multiple fixes but nothing works. Any solution?

Is it normal with the new update, to not have anymore the options for the model?

Its been for a couple of years at least., that i cant use gradient on the mask in additive fashion by gradually revealing or hiding the layer even when using classical gradient. Is there a dix so far? Amy pinned threads that we users can request to bring this simple option that has been for years back?

In the photoshop print dialog box I have a very long list of profiles, most of which I never use. Is there a way to cut down on the number of profiles that I see there and have to scroll through? Do I have to find and delete the ones I will probably never use, or can I move them to another folder to get them out of the way?

Please, I need the categories tab to be reactivated when I open the file information (shift + option + command + i) while editing photos. This feature is very important for photographers who work with news agencies.See the attached screenshot. thanks so much !

 Why does an image pixelate so much when I place it in a smaller-sized image using Photoshop 2026? How do I prevent that from happening? 

Last week, Gen Ai using firefly was fine. This week it is not considering the subject when using the prompt. Support was no help.  This morning I tried to remove a white cord laying against a cream colored wall. I selected the area around it and first tried no prompt. It gave me a green sword instead .  I then tried cream colored wall . It gave me three more green swords.  Remove worked on this but not others. I find the remove in LR to be better.  What I really need it for is an action I’ve built that helps me paint out digital paintings. I make several layers with different channels and it builds different versions of the image. I then mask away the parts I like. In the screen shot you can see what it looks like as the final version in the past, what the little girl should look like, how the newest version of firefly handles the same prompt, and then how it looks when I revert back to firefly image 3 . Still not as good as it was. 

Photoshop v 27.5 crashes due to an “unexpected error” every time a document is opened. It doesn’t matter how the document is accessed, whether from the “open” option on the top bar, the document itself on a hardrive, or on the homescreen of the app. Opening a new file works fine.

On Photoshop 27.3.1, document.duplicate() returns a readable handle; on Photoshop 27.5.0, the same plugin/build and same source document returned handle is unreadable (The document with an id of undefined does not exist.).

For years I've been working with a regular RGB/32bit Photoshop document with an Output Transform Color Lookup adjustment layer, and then an Inverse_sRGB Colour Lookup adjustment layer for compositing V-Ray ACEScg renders. This was due to Photoshop not using OCIO natively. This set up has worked perfectly for years but is now broken. Example of the correct colours here:  This is with using ACES Config 1.2. With the latest release of Photoshop the Inverse sRGB adjustment layer now converts overbright pixels to weird colours (hot pinks, reds, or turquoises).Now that Photoshop can create OCIO documents I've just tried dragging my layers from the regular PSD to the OCIO version. I've hidden my colour transform layers and the render looks identical to the non-OCIO document. However, when I go to File > Export > Export PNG the colours are thrown off and it way too saturated. How can I get Photoshop to either stop throwing the colours way off in the standard PSD document,

I’m working on a 24x36 layered file in photoshop. I need to change my canvas size but every time I hit the canvas size in the menu I get this error: Drover error in ok_cancel_dialog:You must override UI_Node::measureFile: layout descriptionLine 00010: sub_layout(name: "content");char 00000: ^^^I’ve tried to make sure my photoshop is up to date. I’ve tried turning on and off each layer. I’ve opened brand new files and I am getting the same error. I’ve tried to unlock the background or even delete it and just leave an empty layer and I still can’t change the canvas size. I’m not using artboards. Photoshop gives me a learn how to fix button that takes me to errors when saving a document, which is not a problem for me. Any fixes are helpful as I’ve only got a few days to get this file out.

I’m having the this issue for more than a week. I’ve installed and reinstalled both older (2024) versions and the updated Photoshop 2025, changed the Mac settings, etc., but nothing worked. Honestly, it’s such a headache, and there’s no way to get a response from a support advisor to help with this. It’s really frustrating.

when airdropping psd file from procreate, ps 26 is opening as a flattened file with no layers, can't find a workaround

For the past year I have been editing pages from Acrobat Files in Photoshop by selecting 'Edit PDF' and then right clicking the page in question and selecting 'Edit Using > Photoshop '. All was fine until last week when random pages generated an error message in Photoshop saying "Could not open document.pdf  because a colour was specified using an unsupported colour space". Both apps have the same colour space set and are updated to the latest versions and I'm on Win 11. Any clues please?

It would be great if it could be customized the interface colors. The default color for this script is white.If my Photoshop interface is medium gray, the text on the script interface becomes hard to read.In that case, I need to change the Photoshop interface to white as well.I don’t like a white interface; I’d prefer both the script and the Photoshop interface to be medium gray, and the font color is white..It would be great if the script’s colors could be customized.Also, wouldn’t it be great if it could read action files by default from the same directory as Picture Processor.jsx?Thank you very much.  

I just updated my Mac OS to ventura, opened photoshop and tried to keep my workflow... but when I try to Save for web an error message appears "Could not complete this operation. A write permissions error has ocurred". I already reset photoshop preferences, increased memory usage on photoshop preferences, restarted my mac and looked at community threads, but I do not use or have installed Dropbox. I also tried to Save for web on my google drive, same error.

After updating to Photoshop 27.5, I had to switch from WinTab to Windows Ink, because WinTab no longer works correctly in my setup. Since then I have found what looks like a bug involving the Remove Tool, the healing/plaster icon with the AI stars. When using the Remove Tool, Photoshop sometimes immediately, and sometimes only after several uses, shows an error saying that there is not enough RAM available.This does not seem to be an actual memory problem. Key finding from testing The issue appears to depend on the Wacom pen side switch assignment: Lower pen side switch = Right Click → the RAM error occurs Lower pen side switch disabled → the error disappears Upper pen side switch = Right Click → currently works Mouse input instead of pen → no error So the issue seems specifically related to the lower Wacom pen side switch when assigned to right-click, together with the Remove Tool. What I already tested Started Photoshop with fresh default preferences → the error still returned

Error message during opening (open as ocio) an exr file with ocio config different to default one (ocio v1 config).Why PS is trying to create ICC profile? Is ocio mode psd file still dependent on ICC system? What interchange roles do I need?   aces_interchange? cie_xyz_d65_interchange? both?  

Hello, I had Photoshop 2024 (v25) installed and Creative Cloud proposed me to install Photoshop 27, which I did. I thought it would be in parallel with the other version, as usual. But in the process, it removed Bridge 14 and Photoshop 2024 and now it's become impossible to install the version 25. Only versions available in the "Other versions" menu are the 26.x series, the 27 and, for some reason, the 22.2 Where has Photoshop 2024 gone?

You know when you close a file and this pops up? Apparently around version 2026 this doesn’t happen anymore for Cloud Files specifically, it just always autosaves, no way to have it be how it was, if you use cloud files you are locked into saving your file whenever you close the window, even if its a misclick.Of course there is using just local files… wich you can’t really see thumbnail preview on file explorer nor does photoshop include a “Local Files” section in its home menu file browser, so you’d be giving up thumbnails unless you want to install outside apps to solve the issue. And well, the obvious… and storing your files in the cloud you also give up that too. And any other possible solution is just extra steps to what worked well enough before.So my proposal here is to give back just this system of saving back as an option for Cloud Files also, for people who want some control of what gets saved when, even for Cloud Files.

When I hover my cursor on some layers on layers panel (particularly clipping masked layer, I’m not very sure though), the layer list randomly scrolls up and down, make it impossible to select particular layer.PS: It’s on Photoshop Web

Versión de Adobe Photoshop: 27.5.0 20260323.r.13 dee573e  x64 (final: Release), al momento de eliminar el fondo de una foto desde la barra de tareas contextuales me salta un mensaje: no se a encontrado el fondo que desea eliminar, la capa la tengo desbloqueada y anteriormente me recortaba el fondo sin ningún problema. que pasos debo seguir para corregir dicho error?
