I have recently upgraded to a new PC. When I open an image in Photoshop the free transform “blue border and handles” are on by default. Despite selecting another tool, or accepting/pressing Enter, I can’t get rid of them. This means I can’t run any Actions. I can rersize the image using the controls, but the borders/handles remain. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Zbysiu
It'd be awesome to have the lock transparency feature on the iPad version of photoshop please! It makes adding shadows and highlights easier while drawing without going outside the area
Durante toda la existencia de photoshop, cuando tenias algo seleccionado en el lienzo, si clickabas fuera del lienzo se deselecionaba. Esta forma tan agil, rapida y productiva de trabajar ahora no esta. Gracias
I have a headshot of my mother wearing glasses. When the photo was taken the flash is reflected in her glasses. how do I remove these reflections
I need to change the background (white-gray squares) to black to clearly see whether I have cropped the object properly. In AE, this is switched in one click. How can I do this in Photoshop without creating layers with a black fill? Just set the background to be not transparent by default, but always black. Thank you.
Greetings: Is there a way to make the work space transparent? I didn’t see a way to do that in Preferences. I do a lot of historic image digital restoration for clients and for gallery sales and often work at the pixel level when cleaning edges, and a transparent background helps me find artifacts, etc., when I zoom out. I’m hoping I can make the workspace transparent rather than have to create a huge tranparent canvas. Thanks in advance for any help. -- AC

If I press the green button, photoshop open in almost full screen but stops at the dock. Lightroom is working properly. Is there preference in photoshop ? A bug ?
Hi guys,I'm currently on a Macbook with the M1 Pro chip and I have a problem with the brush in either Lightroom classic and Photoshop since I got the new Macbook. I'm on the latest macOS and on the latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom. If I try to use the brush in Lightroom or Photoshop, I can hover around OUTSIDE of the image. As soon as I hover OVER the image the cursor gets stuck and i can no longer move it. The effect of the brush is applied however, I just cannot see where I'm painting. Most of the times it works when I lower the brushsize, but there's no fixed size where it occurs. And the same problem with Photoshop. I have a feeling there's a link between the brushsize where i can move the cursor and the resolution of the image, but I'm not sure about that.Restarting the Macbook and/ or LR/PS does not solve the problem. Does anyone have or had the same error? Can't find anything on the internet.
I am trying to replace a head in Photoshop 2026. I found the following video on Youtube however, i can’t find the same tool options in Photoshop 2026. Where can I find a current up to date video on how to achieve a head swap?
It is said beta version is a trial version. Therefore there is no guarantee new features in the beta version will be transformed into subsequent regular version. In this context, is it worth to spend time on new features in beta version?
I know that this question was asked, but Adobe change the structure soooooo much that answers become irrelevant. Please, allow me to tell entire story.Background. I have some old clip files that I wanted to “revive”. When I am/was trying to add audio, I am getting “DynamicLink is not available”. When I am/was trying to generate video “Media Encoder” is grayed out. It happened once. Then after probably (don’t remember entire chain of events) I un-installed Photoshop beta and Photoshop was updated, the issues has been resolved on it is own. I put my clips aside for a couple of weeks, but when I get back to them now, I am getting the same message. I updated Photoshop - it did not resoved the issue. What I know so far about the issue. All files that was mentioned before Trace database, dynamiclinkmanager etc moved to other directories. I renamed all of them plus Media Cached Files - it did not help. The issue is that if I open old clip that has audio OR trying to add audio to a new file,
I have a 4090 graphics card with 128gb of ram. I can run 3D scan processing. Render water simulation in Blender. The only program that stutters and takes forever to load up is photoshop. I used to run CS2 on a little laptop back20 years ago and it was flawless. There is seriously something wrong with photoshops priorities. I would like to suggest a new version of photoshop.. Classic. What I would do for Cs2 speeds.
I’m having a pretty big problem lately with Photoshop iOS trying to edit text on a canvas. When I try to select the text to edit it, the canvas jumps down, so I’m at the bottom of the canvas. I then have to physically drag the canvas down to the middle of the page again to start editing the text. Unfortunately I cannot attach a video to display this.
Hi Adobe Team,I’d like to suggest an enhancement to Photoshop’s masking workflow that could benefit both intermediate and advanced users. Currently, creating precise masks from colour data often requires multiple steps — using channels, Apply Image, Selective Color, and Levels — which can be fiddly and unintuitive. My idea is an Advanced Masking Panel where users could: Select a source channel (RGB, Lab, or individual channels) Adjust hue range sliders to isolate specific colours Adjust luminance sliders to target highlights, midtones, or shadows Preview the mask live and refine it interactively before applying This would allow users to isolate very specific pixels — for example, only the brightest blue highlights in wave spray — without inadvertently selecting background elements. The workflow would remain non-destructive, visual, and much more accessible, reducing trial-and-error while retaining full creative control. It’s a small enhancement conceptually, but it could dramatical
I would like to be able to export my masking from camera raw, to a new layer with layer mask. Today you need to mask and edit in raw, then make a new mask in photoshop for further edits.
I‘ll have another stab at this as I don’t understand this script behaviour:Basically two commands var id123 = charIDToTypeID( "Invs" );executeAction( id123, undefined, DialogModes.NO ); Inverse selection (not inverse pixel colour) - works fine show/hide the crawling ants selection by toggling it: app.runMenuItem(stringIDToTypeID("toggleEdges"));toggles the visibility of the current selection on/off Yay! Two tiny bits of code work just fine. However... they don’t run one after another, you can’t inverse the selection and then hide the selection. I’ve tried. I have no idea why. I’ve added a delay, separate scripts, separate actions, toggle the selection twice. No dice. I’m stumped as to why the two bits of code won’t work sequentially. Any ideas? Answers on a postcard
Once in a few days or so, when I open PS all the recent files are gone from the starting screen, I have to go and open them manually again which makes working with PS tedious because I work with a lot of files in many folders. This issue has been reported over and over for months now and yet there has not been done anything abuot it. We pay real money for this and depend on it with our work and livelihood.Fix it!
When I go outside the last version of Photoshop (27.4.0) and come back, this window appears and the app start to very slow down..
I created this poster 2 years back and are trying to recreate it but are struggling lol, I have found the original file displacement map and recreated the text too but displacement map is not working correctly. It is not effecting the edge of the text as desired it is essentially just shifting the outline of the text does that make sense? not affecting the edges as I originally did it?
The lasso tool jitters when holding the Alt key to draw straight lines, and sometimes it loses control.
Please add a way to preview a brush-line (brush tool when holding the shift key) like Clip Studio Paint does. It allows you to see where your brush will draw the line before you tap. See the attached image.
Please add an option for the brush and eraser tools to display both the brush tip shape and the tool icon simultaneously. This means showing the brush tip outline along with the brush tool icon (and also adding icons for other brush shapes, similar to the cursor settings in Krita and Clip Studio Paint). This would be extremely helpful for 2D designers when drawing line art, especially on 4K screens where the default small crosshair is tiring to the eyes and makes it difficult to locate the cursor.
Looking for a fun way to give your photos a hand-crafted feel? Try turning them into pencil sketches using just a few tools in Photoshop. This simple technique is great for portraits, architecture, or even still life — and it works with any photo you already have. No tablet or drawing skills required.
