Photoshop

I just updated Photoshop CC to version 21.0.0 on a Mac OS v10.14.6. I am constantly getting a dialog box with the message:"Could not complete the Save for Web (Legacy) command because the document is currently being saved in the background. Please try the operation again after the save has been completed."Of course, I understand why this message is showing. What I don't understand is why the app update would cause it to save files slower than before the update. Updates are supposed to improve the experience, right? Well, this is the opposite. Adobe - please fix the issue (and all issues) - preferably before releasing it as a consumer upgrade.

Just updated to the new Photoshop 2020. I frequently have to Transform > Warp images, then crop (all with the exact same dimensions), so I will create an Action so I can replicate this over multiple images. Works great in Photoshop 2019. Does not work in Photoshop 2020.  Says "Could not complete the command because of program error". When using the rectangle/circle selection tool while the image is enlarged, the response time from the selection tool is suddenly significantly delayed if the scroll goes off the horizontal or vertical currently visible canvas when dragging with the selection tool. This is a problem when using Photoshop 22.3.0 on an M1 mac mini, and it didn't happen with Photoshop m1 beta 22.1.0, so I'm still using the beta version. Hi, While using the shake reduction filter in PS CC (Version 21.1.2) I had to stop the process after 10 minutes. My workstation with AMD Ryzen 3970 32/64 cores, 128 GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 2080ti. The identical picture on a Surface with Intel i7 4 cores, 8.th generation took only 30 seconds. The manufacturer of the workstation checked the function on a similar computer, he also faced a blocked function with the anti shake filter. It seems that Photoshop has a problem with the newest and fastes multicore processors. Has somebody a good idea? Thanks and regards Rudi

I can activate the button, but I can't get the intersection line to work in Curves in PS 2020.

Hello,      I am using a MacBook Pro with Catalina and have recent upgraded to Photoshop 2021 (Ver 22.0).  I go into the Neural Filters and both Skin Smoothing and Style Transfer both say "Not Available" but the Download button is greyed out for both.  In the other section, there are 6 Beta filters that also are exhibiting the same behavior.  All Not Available and the Download button greyed out.  There are also some other filters listed that only have a button that says "I'm Interested".  How can I get these filters downloaded so I can try them out?

Hi!This applies to the German Mac Version of Photoshop CC only.There are two shortcuts to rotate the clone source clockwise and counter clockwise. Sadly only one shortcut works. Only the one increasing the angle works, which is Option + Shift + [+]The other direction does not work: Option + Shift + ü. Maybe there’s a simple programming error, as this would be Option + Ü (Shift makes ü a capital Ü). I don't know.Could you have a look in the code to fix it? Thank you very much.Rotating via shortcut is so nice, but useless in one direction only.Sebastian

I have a Photoshop script (Javascript) that copy paste paths from one image to another. I often use the quick export or the export as.. feature. Unfortunatly, the exported image has a different size (in pixels) than the original picture. Thats not only a different scale, but also a wrong canvas.The results can vary even in one file when toggling different layers (randomly)I have Windows 10 and the recent CC version installed.Please let me know if you need more informations.

In Ps 2020 I had about 20 plugins which I told PsCC2021 to install like in Ps2020; and it did install them, But...   Of the 20 only 2 work OK; and then only partly. Basic issue is all are sized too big so only some of the panel is shown and panels cannot be re-sized. The 2 that I can re-size work OK but the size does not stick and are wrong old size when Ps 2021 is opened again.   Plugin developers say Adobe made a new code set for the legacy apps and broke the plugins?   I went to Adobe store and found a legacy plugin, installed OK, but same problem of panel size wrong/broken/does not work.   I am using 4K monitors. Ps 2020 was working just fine with them, and still is. Why break legacy stuff? I appreciate new plugins but nothing I use is there.   Please fix the legacy plugins i/f code...it should be as simple as copy/use what worked in Ps 2020.   Now I use Ps2020 for most things and Ps 2021 for any new features

When using paintbrush and wanting to change from hard brush to a soft brush the brush changes to the clone tool and vice versa when using clone brush

I use an action in my workflow to copy a path from a jpg and paste it into a tiff. Used to work flawlessly from PS CS6 up to and including the previous version of PS CC 2020.Now I get this: The layers palette and the part of the action:   Manually it won't work either, *unless* I first select the Path Selection Tool.   Also, I see that if I use 'Open files into Photoshop layers' from Bridge, the default filename is "Untitled-1" again. A while back (PS CC 2019?) it got changed to "Untitled1" from that. Not sure what is preferred, but it would be nice if you make up your mind, so I don't have to keep changing my actions that rely on the exact filename… In short: *please* stop breaking what didn't need fixing in the first place…MacPro, OSX 10.14.6

Dragging a duplicate layer from one document to another doesn't switch to the document where you want to drop the duplicate layer. Now you have to copy the desired layer, switch to the document where you want to layer dropped and paste it in.Again I say that every update seems to create more problems

Jeffrey, my post was merged with an issue (Photoshop CC 2018: Floating document windows in fullscreen w/menu bar causes window to jump to center) that is the opposite of the issue that I'm having. Problem that I'm having is not that PS is forcing images that are already open to center - it's that when I have to work with tabs turned off I CAN'T get images to open center screen. Additionally, this is not a new issue with 2018, it's been an ongoing issue. Here's my issue again - thanks for taking another look: ----When not working in tabs, images will not open to center screen. They open far left. Which on a 27" screen, is significantly inconvenient. So each and every time I open an image, I'm dragging to center. When not working in tabs, is there anything I can do to have images open centered on the screen, which is where my face is and where they belong? There's a script out there for this somewhere but I lost it. Shouldn't need to have a sc

In the 2021 update, I cannot pan the canvas with spacebar while I'm using the lasso tool (actively drawing a line).   In the 2020 version, holding spacebar would temporarily turn the lasso tool into the hand tool, allowing for easy panning without losing the lasso selection. It was very handy for readjusting my hand during a long selection, or simply seeing more of my canvas as I'm selecting.   This must surely be a bug? Please fix this! It's vital to my workflow!

I have two 16gb RAM computers, and on each using Photoshop CC 2019 with the .01 update, when using Shake Reduction in Sharpening, it inevitably seizes up then crashes the program. In addition, when I am asked to file a report, my email address is always reported as wrong when it is the same one Adobe uses to reach me.

Whenever I try to use Lens Blur it causes Photoshop to crash. It had been working recently. I wondered if something was going on in the latest update. However, the crash occurred even when I uninstalled 2021, reinstalled 2020 and ran Lens Blur. Lastly I had reinstalled everything from Creative Cloud onto my brand new PC. (windows 10).   Any  thoughts or suggestions?

I seem to have an issue importing Sky Presets, the presets are in my Downloads folder on my booted Mac Big Sur laptop, the same issue exists if the files are on my desktop as well.   Edit- Sky Replacement Sky Replacement Window Appears Click the Arrow next to the Sky: Box Select Import Skies, select the file and click Open   Window pops up with Disk Error      

Since the 22.1 update, MAJOR bugs: - ‘could not save because of a program error’ when saving, work around: hiding a few layers or folders. - major lag when zooming in - actions and changes delay in showing, to the point where they never show up - once I close the document and quit Photoshop and go back in the changes are  visible.   what’s going on??   Working on MacBook Pro 2017 (8g memory) running Big Sur

So I'm not going to rage. I really want to. But I won't. I'm using Photoshop CS 5.5 (Windows). I was on the sixth version of a high fidelity Website mockup. The client asked that I provide them the design in PDF format. So from within the .PSD file, I select "Save As" and choose PDF as the format. I complete the PDF wizard and all seemed good. No. Apparently, when you save as a PDF, it turns the PSD file you actively have open into a PDF? I noticed that the file type changed to PDF from PSD on the tab. "That's stupid," I thought. "I'll just change it back to a PSD, since I've made a few modifications since I saved it last." You know, in Dreamweaver when you execute a "Save As", it opens the new file in its own tab. Just a thought. Maybe my next choice was wrong, but it seemed instinctive to me. I decided to "Save As" again, but this time as a PSD file. I still had my layers in tact, so I didn't think there would be a problem. I close out the file. When I open the PSD file back up just
