I am experiencing a reproducible problem with Find Distractions → General Distractions in Photoshop.Find People and Remove Wires work normally.However, when I select General Distractions, Photoshop starts processing and then suddenly quits in the middle of the process. There is no useful error message before Photoshop closes.The issue appears to be limited specifically to General Distractions.I have the latest version of Photoshop installed and I am also using the latest NVIDIA drivers.Has anyone else experienced this? When I drag the edge of a panel (Properties, Layers, Color) in Photoshop, the panel content disappears for several frames, ghost panel edges/scrollbars flash in the middle of the workspace, and the layout jumps around. Screen recording attached. Illustrator is just as bad. Premiere Pro is affected too, but noticeably less. I have two computers. One opens NEF files in Photoshop, but recently the other does not. Message: "Could not open...because of an end-of-file was encountered". What do I do?

Photoshop 25.12, ACR 16.5.0.1954 on macOS Sequoia 15.0. Photoshop will open 8-bit HEIC files correctly. However, a 10-bit HEIC will open into ACR but then fail to open into Photoshop for editing. Both display correctly in Bridge 2022 and Bridge 2025 beta. i want to install ps in my pc but it's not incompatible so, there is any way to skip it and download the app or install an old version the problem is in the processor

Windows 11 laptop, always with the latrst Photoshop version.I'm just learning the crop tool and for the last few weeks have been making some good 5:4 crops.  As of this morning, I've lost the ability to delete cropped pixels, and toggling the garbage pail icon just switches between filling in an area with a solid color or a checkerboard.  I want neither.  How do I get this back?Please see both attachments.  Edit - I changed the PNG screenshots to jogs, but I still can't see them anything in the previews, but you should get the point without them.  I also reset the crop tool which did not help.

In the latest version of Photoshop for the Mac, the keyboard shortcut to scale a photo was available. Easy to use and fast. That function seems to have disappeared. Now I have to go to the top bar and choose “Scale” from a pulldown menu. Why the change or am I missing something?

Hi!I have a form I’m building that brings mapped fields from our Core system into the PDF.  One of those fields is an interest rate (AP_1_INTEREST_RATE).  This field comes in from the core as the number and a % sign, i.e. 1.99%.  That would be great, however, the line on the PDF that it is populating on has a static % sign already, so on the form it looks like 1.99%%.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to strip the % from the mapped field (AP_1_INTEREST_RATE).  I also have the field format as NONE so it isn’t gaining the % because of the way I have it formatted, it’s coming from the core that way.   Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am a novice and just can’t figure this out. I know how to ADD things but can’t figure out how to remove them.   Any help would be appreciated!

Markup and Tune tools are missing in AI Assisted Editor.AI Assisted Editor is enabled in my updated Photoshop 2026, but the Markup and Tune tools are missing from the toolbar.The only available tools are:Prompt Fill Remove Crop and expand Upscale Remove backgroundI have tested both Photoshop 2026 and Photoshop (Beta) 27.11.0 on macOS. I also opened JPG/PNG images directly instead of adding them as reference images, but Markup and Tune still do not appear.Adobe’s AI Assisted Editor documentation shows that Markup and Tune should be available. When you are using the photoshop, Generative feature how do you move the pop-up instruction box off of the image. It covers 1/3 of the image. You can't see the change to the image until after you save it and then drag the pop-up box off of the image. Often it’s not the results I wanted but could not see the results until after the save. Very poor design. 

Tried saving a file using save as and save optimised but can't paste copied text from clipboard or any other text?

I am preparing to take the International Association for Identification (IAI) Latent Fingerprint Examiner Certification examination this fall. The examination materials strongly recommend that candidates become familiar with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020, as that is the version used during the testing process. I would like to inquire whether Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 is still available for purchase or download. If so, I would appreciate information on how I can obtain a legitimate copy of that specific version. If the software is no longer available directly from Adobe, I would be grateful for any guidance regarding alternative options for accessing or licensing Photoshop Elements 2020 for training and practice purposes. Thank you for your time and assistance. 27.10 is slow saving files: 1) Super slow (20 seconds to save a 4K resolution .JPG file.) 2) Erroneous warnings that the file has been updated (it's hasn't) before saving. 3) PS seemingly locking up when saving. Reverting to the prior version of PS (27.9.1) cleared up all the issues. OneDrive being enabled or disabled didn't make a difference.Open and edit any PS .PSD or JPG file. Try to save it. Wait and wait and wait.

I created a file many years ago before I stopped working with Smart Objects.  At the time, I wanted to sharpen sections of the image. I now need to enlarge the canvas slightly to augment the tile border, and in the process of doing that, I noticed that my Smart Objects have transparency.  AI says “the Unsharp Mask filter … operates strictly on the color and luminance channels of an image and does not utilize, modify, or factor in layer transparency or alpha channels during its calculation.”  In the first screenshot below, the finished image with all its usable layers is shown.  In the second, the bottom layer only is toggled on and reveals an out of focus section in the left upper corner which is replaced by the Layer in the 3rd screenshot (2166).  What I don’t understand is what is going on in screen shots 4 & 5, which show semi-transparent pixels.  Those areas seem to correspond with what is showing on the respective masks for those objects.  If transparency is not used for maski

After the previous update, I can't active the Type tool in Photoshop by hitting T. It will switch to it, then immediately switch back to whatever the previous tool was. If you click T and click the image fast enough, sometimes you can catch it. I was hoping the next update would fix it, but it did not. I use the Type tool a lot, so this is not great behavior.

I need to change a bunch for png’s to jps. As usual, I have recorded the action to export and save a jpgs. And I have saved the action which shows in my action window. I go to Automate > batch and do the usual process, however there are two errors occurring at various times of trying to batch automate the same file as it hasn’t been doing what it should do:It looks like photoshop is doing its thing, however, once done, no files have been saved as instructed. The files are saving but without the instructed actions actioned. Saving as the originals.P.S. I have been using this process for decades without issue. And I even used uit successfully just before the action panel was changed by Adobe. I have a big deadline and need this sorted asap. Please help!Thank you. 

Who had the great idea of Gen-Z-ing this? With the new Photoshop-Update it is terrible to “act” on my actions. IT IS OVERBLOWN!!! WHO THOUGHT THIS IS A GOOD IDEA??? It used to be easy to click on/off parts of my actions that I’ve programmed (which is such a cool feature from you guys! Love it!) . Now you’ve made it very hard to “on/off” parts of my actions.Do you really need to “stupify” your software? The new “Actions” interface is honestly terrible, it looks like a bad “beta”. Please revert to the old UI. What I hate: the new UI design structure itself is very hard to read – “what’s active in my action, what’s deactivated”… it used to be really easy to change a programmed action within, now … it’s not. Many more steps are involved now. I was much, much faster before the new implementation. Honestly, who thought this is a good idea/update? I recently updated to the Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.9.1 20260803.r.1 65900e1  x64 (final, Release). Once I import an image and I use the Clone Stamp Tool, it doesn't work as it used to. I use Alt+Click to select an area to clone, but then, when I click on a target to clone on, it uncontrollably clones other areas of the image, at a linear manner. I haven't seen such a behavior before. 

I recently bought a brand new MacBook Pro M5 with 48gb of working memory. Every app I use on a daily basis for work has been smooth, fast, and seamless- except Photoshop. It is consistently laggy. I’ll make a brush stroke and it will show up on the screen 5+ seconds later. I will click on the layers tab and it takes 4+ seconds to register.I currently have the memory usage set to 70%. I tried upping the memory and turning on and off some Graphics Processors settings, but that did not help.Yesterday, I was working on a 8”x10” file at 400 dpi with about 6 layers. I had only been working on that file for 20 minutes max. I went to Activity Monitor and Photoshop was taking up a whopping 16.09gb!!I removed and redownloaded Photoshop last week and am still experiencing this extreme lag.I use Photoshop for work and it has become nearly unusable. I’m running on a M5 MacBook Pro, Golden Gate 27.0. I downgraded to 27.8 and there was no more issues.I updated to Photoshop 27.10 and ran into several unacceptable issues:Opened photoshop after the auto update and tried editing a single 4k image. Zoom was slow, paintbrush was slow, and navigating menus was slow. I had a single layer with a mask and was trying to paint in the mask, but the brush was so laggy and unresponsive it was completely unusable. Trying to do this while zoomed in and the app would lockup completely. I tried with a smaller 1000px x 1000px image, still noticeably slow but no locking up. I’ve edited larger images with more layers and never ran into this issue until now. During this I also checked every setting and permission both in app and at the OS level. Everything was correct. During this time I noticed that while both were open my network bandwidth dropped to 5-7mb/s and I was unable to load pages in a browser. Closing both boosted bandwidth back to the expected

I have my document displayed on 100 %.I make Generative Fill layer.I want to see whole picture with Fit on Screen (Ctrl+0).But shortcut doesnt always Fit on Screen, instead randomly opens up Smart Sharpen filter, which has Ctrl+F5 shortcut assigned).Latest PS updated, Win 11.
