Photoshop Elements

Duplicate photos with same exact filenames (all are .JPG file extensions) and file sizes are appearing as results for Visual Searches that I’m making with PSE 2025 Elements Organizer. They aren’t “.raw” files with the same name and different file sizes.These are not COPIES such as would appear after importing images (That type of duplicate image usually appears with a “1234-1” filename, signifying that it is a copy of an original).I recently upgraded from PSE 2023 to PSE 2025 with RAW Editor installed. After cleaning up the usual duplicate images (FIND / VISUAL SEARCH / DUPLICATE PHOTOS), there remain many images with the same file name and file size in the PSE 2025 Organizer Catalog. They seem to grow with each opening and closing of the PSE 2025 program.The PSE 2023 Catalog that was brought into PSE 2025, was clean of duplicates and was up to date.What causes these duplicates in Organizer Catalogues? How can I make a full backup of photos and metadata from Photoshop Elements 2021 to an external hard drive?

I am having the same issues with trying to login and asking for my serial number and then loops back to login.  It asks to login, I login (even though I'm already logged in online). It then asks to activate and input my serial number even though I already activated it. After taking my serial number(copied from my online account page) it takes me right back to login to start the loop. I am unable to use Photoshop elements 2022 at all because of this. I have verified that creative cloud is installed and updated. I even removed photoshop and downloaded it again from my online accounts page. 

As the title says, I purchased Photoshop Elements 2024 after Elements 2025 was released due to having downloaded a trial of Elements 2024 that gave me the option to buy it before the 30 trial ran out. Based on the date of my receipt and unknown to me at the time, Elements 2025 had been announced and available for roughly a week when I purchased Elements 2024.  Is there a path to getting Elements 2025 at no charge?  I've looked everywhere for how to contact Adobe tech support but I swear it's like they make it intentionally difficult to find how to get a hold of them. Any help in putting me on the right path to figuring this out is greatly appreciated!

I recently received a notice about the new Adobe Photoshop Elements for 2025.   I noticed that it states that the software is only good for 3 years.  Why would Adobe take software we purchase away after 3 years.  I'm guessing I should just stick with my Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 version.  If I pay $99 for software (as I have done many times in the past), I don't feel like it should be something that is taken away after 3 years....and I did not see where it states what happens if you want to update to the next year's version.  Does that version continue then for an additional 3 years.   I hope I haven't repeated a previous post.  I am just wondering if anyone has more information on this or if there is a place I can find it.

Hello everyone  I own a few licences of PS Elements 2018, 2019, 2020 I activated these licences on many computers along time, but those computers are gone now and I can't access them  In the past, I could see in my account in the "activated devices" menu a list of all computers using the licence and I could dissconect them  Now, it is empty and I cannot deactivate them nor access those computers  I got a now computer in which, obviously, I cannot activate my PS Elelements 2018 anymore  How do I go around this? Is there any solution? Support is telling me that my software is too old and there is no support 😞 nor they can access information about these licences (oh....Adobe, very nice 😞   thank you 

I ordered PS and Premiere Elements 2025, I payed for it and have downloaded it. But my 7 days trial has ended and I did not receive any key or similar to activate PS Elements nor Premiere Elements. What to do? Whwere can I find a code or key? 

Hi,I am running Elements 2025 on Windows 10, having the program installed on internal drive C: and all media files located om en external USB drive named F: , it is more than 34k media files in the catalog. I now want to move all media file originals to a new USB disk, keeping the folder structure and keeping Elements Organizer 2025 having control of all the files. I know there is a command inside Organizer to Move/copy files to a new unit. Is that the way to do it or is there a better way? If that is the way, should I choose to copy or to move and what is the differens from the Organizer catalog´s perspektive? Please advise me how to do the disk replacement in the best (safety and time) possible way. Best RegardsPer-Åke

All of a sudden, I can't see my selected files in the photo bin.  Specifically of files from batches older than 2024.  Any idea what's going on and how to fix?  

Is there a way to delete duplicate photos other than marking them one at a time?I have 8000 photos in my Catalog and several are duplicates! I'm not quire sure how these duplicates were generated.

I own a cd of Photoshop Elements 24 But I downloaded from the Web.  I have installed it on a Surface Laptop.  Once installed it  takes five minutes at least to open up the editor.  On my previous computer it opened up in seconds.  What is the problem?   What do I do?

Hi,Hope you're well. I'm having issues trying to reinstall my copy of Photoshop Elements that I purchased a few years back. I've just done a harddrive cleanup and full Windows reinstall, and I'm trying to get my software running again. I've tried to install it a bunch of times, but each time I do it says I need to sign in to my Adobe account, and when I do it takes me to the terms agreement which I accept, and then it closes completely - when I open it again, it does the same thing, leaving me on and endless loop of succesfully signing in and then the software not working. I tried both "I have purchased" entering my serial number, and "I want to try", both with the same result. This morning I decided to give the offline activation a bash, which seemed to be going a lot better than the normal account sign in method - I can actually get the software open. But once I try do the actual offline activation, I enter in the request code and my serial, it says activation limit reached

 I am trying to change the overall temperature of a photo from cool to warmer. I do not see any temperature controls under "Enhace>Adjust Color" . Is there a simple slider control hidden somewhere for making an entire photo warmer or cooler? this seems basic yet i can't find it anywhere. thanks!

The current version might be compatible with modern operating systems but PSE 2025 will not support the NIK collection of plugins such as sSilver Effects and Vazera. Hence the need to install PSE 2019 and 2025!

I just loaded Elements 2025 and I can't figure out how to resize the applications window. I'm running a Mac M2 Max with Ver 15.1.1The Green button does maximize the window and I can drag the window around, but I can't resize it.  I'm probabaly doing something goofy, but I'm stuck. Thanks for your help.

When i launch my Eloements 2020 and go into Organizer to startr doing some work I get a notice to update both PS Elements 2020 and Camera Raw 12.  When I click on Update now I get a box telling me that I need a new app to open this auphd link.  Go to MS Store or the other option is Always use this app.  I click on always use this app but then cannot click OK

Hi, I bought Photoshop elements 2024 and installed Adobe camera raw 16 but it doesn't open the Sony a1 files.  The Sony a1 ARW are supported since 13.1 Adobe camera raw version.  Why I can't open the files with 16 version?

Upgrading to Windows 11 and trying to install old licensensed PE10 caused a Windows crash. Seems like the consensus is to just upgrade to PE2025 (and being forced into periodic 3 year future upgrade cycles). But, the main question, is whether the new PE2025 will be able to accept/process/restore a full backup created by PE10? That is crucial .. otherwise might as well junk Photoshop altogether and choose something if I need to reimport and reorganize all of my photos from raw backups.

Photoshop Elements 2025 on WIndows 11 freezes when opening any kind of RAW file including DNG files.

I have the free 30-day trial of the current version of PSE for evaluation. The details on the screen are tiny! Please can you tell me how to enlarge it? I’m on a Lenovo Yoga 7i, Win 11, i5 with Iris graphics so I think the pc is up to it! Display is 14" FHD IPS (1920 x 1080) 300 nits, wide viewing angle touchscreen, 72% NTSC, 16:9, anti-glare. Altering UI only enlarges the cursor, not the screen. TIA 

I have just upgraded to PE2025 from PE2020.At the bottom of the list of My Folders are Theme 1 to 6 and Themes.How can I remove them.

Hi - this is an ongoing annoying issue...if i have 10 tabs (each one with a separate image) open in PE, and I want to print one of the images, I have to first "remove" each image one by one from the print window. Otherwise it will automatically print the image that is at the top of the list.  i am consistently printing the wrong images because of this clumsy feature. Is there any preference i can click on that will allow me to CHOOSE which image i want to print, rather than have to remove all the images I DON'T want to print? I hope theres some way to do this! thanks

When processing multiple files, PS 14 shows a status bar, like this, that's not visible on 2025.  Is there a way to activate this feature? 

I got a new computer with Windows 11 I cannot load Elements 10 with my discs as the computer cannot accept them. I need something for Windows 11

Before MS support expires I just replaced  my Win 10 PC with a new PC running Win 11 Pro, and wanted to move my PSE23 catalog and files to the new PC.  I successfully made a full backup on the old PC ready to restore on the new one.  Then I downloiaded PSE23  from my Adobe account into the new PC and tried to install it.  It whizzed through about 80% of the installation, then stopped.  I tried several more times, unsuccessfully.  I received error message 183 on most tries.As the following extract from the Adobe installation log shows the first "Fatal" error 183 appeared at 10:14:28 and the subsequent text seems to indicate it was something to do with a "ZIP archive" (whatever that is) that could not be satisfactorily closed. I'm sad my new computer behaved so badly and that I will no longer have convenient PSE access to my thousands of photos.  So would be very grateful if anyone can point me in the direction of a solution.
