When is there going to be an update? You all havent updated or posted anything since 2024 and those were just some bug fixes. There been alot of people that have invested a great amount of time and money into this software. Please let us know if this software will be discontinued or will we have a major update.
Hallo zusammen, ich habe einen seitlichen Charakter mit einem Schnabel, wobei sich der untere Schnabel während der Sprache rotieren soll statt sich auf und ab zu bewegen für die Mundbewegung. Ist das möglich? Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße in die Runde!
Dear members,I am a new user of the Character Animator and I tried to create an own puppet. I used a puppet of Character Animator as a template for the different layers. The problem is, that the eyes of this puppet are unnormal moving and "flipping" when I use it in Ch.. I will try to upload this puppet here. Also if I load this puppet in the Ch the whole puppet is moving. I attached my waterdrop puppet to this post. I have German Ch. I know this is an English forum, but I hope to find help. When I create a puppet that walks with three profiles (front, right, and left) using separate swap sets for views that control the blink, I can get the correct blink for the first two views. However, when I switch to the mirrored view (left), the blink is not correct, and I keep seeing the blink from the first two profiles. "PS: I created separate swap sets for each profile."
How do I get out of the "purchase pro" loop?I've installed and uninstalled program several times, confirmed I have signed into the account the receipt is attached to, installed and uninstalled several times. But it always opens to "starter mode." Then asks me to purchase again. I was so excited for the new character, I can't get to them. 😞
I have an Adobe Illustrator character that has eyes and face stretching in a weird way when I move. I have it rigged the same way as other characters that don't have this issue. Any thoughts?

Hi everybod, dr nick here. When I open this session it pops up this msg-libgit2 error -3(6/Could not find repository from...(and then it gives the path to the ch data folder of said session)This is the second session this has happened to for me. Looking forward to playing w puppets, any help is much appreciated
Bonjour à tous,Je rencontre un problème avec Adobe Character Animator 2025 (version française) et le Body Tracker.Quand j’active le Body Tracker sur ma marionnette, celle-ci adopte une posture bizarre : les bras ne sont pas le long du corps mais écartés comme un singe, même si je veux qu’ils restent détendus le long du torse.Même en utilisant la fonction "Etalonner" cela n'arrange rien du tout.Ma question :Comment faire pour que ma marionnette parte toujours de la pose neutre avec les bras le long du corps quand j’active le Body Tracker ? Merci d’avance pour votre aide !
Hi! I downloaded the official Mouth template, placed it inside the Head group in Photoshop, and made sure all visemes are named correctly. But Character Animator still doesn’t recognize the mouth after refresh. Am I missing something?

i opened an error file or something. and now when i open Ch, it always saying [ internal error code: (405861230:37 = 36) attempt to index a nil value ] and other two warning messages about error file, and CH keep closing after these messages.i thought it will solved if i open new or other normal project, but even if i click my other ch files, Ch always opening my first error file first and keep closing. i already solved this problem doing re-download CH,but i wonder there is other way to solved this problem. like deleting cache, or opening new project or home first regardless of what I did before.actually the function that previous work always opens first when i open CH is a little inconvenient for me because of the loading time. Sorry if my Eng is wrong or awkward. and thank you for reading.
I am rigging a custom puppet in Adobe Character Animator.My setup:The Body group contains Torso, Left Arm, Right Arm, Head, Left Legs, and Right Legs.The limb groups (Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Legs, Right Legs) are set as Independent and set to Attach To Body with Attach Style Weld.Hip and Shoulder handles are placed at the seams.Thigh layers attach to the Hip handles. Upper Arm layers attach to the Shoulder handles.The left leg attaches correctly to the torso.The right leg and both arms stay detached with a visible gap, even though the settings and handle placement match the left leg.Questions:What could cause one side to weld correctly while the other side does not?Could mesh islands, origin placement, or the “Connect Each Island To” setting cause this problem?Should Shoulder and Hip handles be placed on the child layers (Upper Arm or Thigh) or on the group layers?Environment:Adobe Character Animator 2025 (24.5)macOS SonomaPuppet built from PSDSteps to reproduce:Import PSD with the s

During youtube scrolling I came across this video and found it very interesting.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faXf48-wIWU&t=4sWhile it was clear the characters looked very much AI created, I couldn't figure out if this was just some quick AI creation. Does anyone has any idea as to how it's made? WHich softwares used. If at all taken help from some AI, which one exactly etc.
So I ran out of disk space while exporting a puppet and it caused Character animator to crash. Now it geve this error and won't reopen. I spent three days on it. Is there anyway to recover it? Are there any previous versions that I can recover?
Hello Im not receiving the option to select the NDI option in the Live output tab on adobe character animate, ive installed everything and uninstalled everything multiple times and cant seem to find a fix Does anyone have this issue or no a fix ?
How do I stop my character from moving once I put it in position. I am using a recorded audio so I am assuming that the character should not be moving aside from mouthing the audio
I have rigged a nice large puppet in pro-mode (with all sorts of triggers and replays ready for use in starter-mode). I was thinking, that the character could just be rescaled in starter-mode.But that is not possible…Can I somehow resize the .puppet-file in pro-mode before importing into starter-mode?Or any other tricks?Thanks in advance
Hi ! I habitually finds all my solutions by myself, but this time, I dont understand what's happening.. tried so many thing to make the pupils works. The pupils wont move at all. After tagging Left pupil, Left pupil size, Left pupil Range. Nothing moves at all. (Blink works, Eyebrows works too). I can send my puppet file to help you understand my problem.
Hello,I found a thread from 2022 describing a similar issue which was resolved by somone on the Character Animator Team (Dan Tull, are you still out there?).I was editing a scene in my Character Animator project and the application crashed. I restarted but cannot reopen the project. Based on the 2022 thread I located the repo.noindex folder and tried changing the .rope filename to projectdata_old.rope but it did not fix the issue. Here is what I am seeing when I try to open the project file:Can someone on the Character Animator team please help?? Thanks in advance!Matt
Whenever I record, the triggers usually end up between frames instead of lined up with the beginning of each frame. Because my triggers often include a mix of keyframes and replays, which won't play back properly unless the start at the beginning of a frame. This means after recording, I have to manually go in and adjust each trigger to line up to the beginning of a frame before I can even watch what I've recorded, as the animations are broken until I do. Is there a way to make sure that whenever I activate a trigger, it automatically snaps to the closest frame? I've noticed that when dragging a trigger on the timeline, there's no way to place it between frames, so I'm not sure why when recording it does this.
