I am trying to follow a couple different guides at making a looping turbulence displacement. I am trying to add the loopout cycles command but I was not sure if i had to use keyframes with it to make it work. I have keyframes for the evolutions at the start and end of my layer. The first key frame I left at 0 and the last key frame I put in 200 rotations. The wave does fine until around 2:45 seconds or so when it stops. Please advise.

Hello. I have a character I created using PuppetMaker that has three mouth sets (Default Mouth, Happy, Mouth, Sad Mouth all inside a "Mouths" group) and I have triggers set for them as a swap set. I can sucessfuly trigger them before recording and after I record them, the trigger changes show up on the timeline. However, when I play back the scene, the mouth style doesn't change. Only the default is shown. This also affects lip sync. The lip sync only shows up for the default mouth and the other two mouths don't activate during playback even when the timeline indicates a change.The "Mouths" group has no tag applied and each mouth set has a blue "Mouth Group" tag. If I tag the "Mouths" group with the "Mouth" tag, CH reports rigging issues for all the visemes in the Neutral and Sad mouth sets.Tagging the mouth sets with the "Mouth" tag doesn't make any difference. Any help appreciated.

Hello. I can't open any proyect. It shows an error everytime. I check the folder, but the file is there.  

Hello everyone,I’m working on creating an avatar in Illustrator and importing it into Adobe Character Animator following the “Intro to Rigging” tutorial. I’ve attached two screenshots—one of my workspace and one from the tutorial—showing the green dashed line I’m referring to.Issue:I imported my Illustrator file into Character Animator (AI → Puppet).The body moves with the head correctly, and I added fixed handles to the feet.However, when I click on the Right Arm, no green dashed line appears connecting the arm to the torso, unlike in the tutorial screenshot.I also can’t manually create that connection—nothing turns green when I move the handle.Questions:Does anyone know why the green dashed connection line doesn’t appear automatically?If not, can you recommend another tutorial or explain how to set up the arm connection manually?Thanks in advance for any tips!Hila

 Hello,I'm creating a flat 2D character in Adobe Character Animator and following all the official guidelines.Although I’ve carefully set up the layer structure, tagging, and applied all necessary behaviors – the body and arms don’t move at all, only the head is responding.I’ve watched several official tutorial videos, and there are things that don’t happen in my setup, for example:The character is supposed to move as one unit (head, body, and arms together), but in my case, only the head reacts.In tutorials, you can see a dotted line connecting the arms to the torso – I don’t see that line in my puppet.When properly connecting the arms to the torso with an origin handle, the entire body should turn green, indicating the connection – but that doesn’t happen in my case, even when I place the handles exactly as shown.What I’ve done so far:✔️ Added the Body behavior✔️ Tagged Left Shoulder / Right Shoulder✔️ Placed origin and dragger handles&#

My absolute favorite puppets are the Cupcake, mushroom, and the flower in Adobe express but I can only download and use the Cupcake with all it's fun abilities in Character Animator. I would absouletly LOVE to be able to download and use the mushroom and the flower. My nieces and nephews LOVE them.  Hope to see it on the download page soon! Love the program!

Hello,I'm doing a project and I created a Swap set happy and sad, the sad one doesn't work at all, there is just no mouth, and for the happy one, only the profiles work well. The other ones could work but it's either hidden by the neutral mouth or the neutral happy is just blank.I know it's a common issue, but even with the answers from other posts, I still can't seem to fix it.If someone could help with this, that would be appreciated.It's not my personal project, so I can't share much, but here are some screenshots. (my software is in French sorry and some words are automatically translated by CA)

please help.I am at my wits end.I have watched all of the videos.I have read the forums.I cant find anything that has helped me so far.I am trying to add a background (say a picture) to my Ch file.what are the steps?I have followed the videos (most 4 years old) and cannot understand " grab a jpg stick it in the timeline, hand onto a star, pray to the god of gold, and BINGO! there you are".Please . in laymans terms. If i open charachter animatror, from step 1 to 100, can anyone guide me to add a background and put a puppet in front of it?I have tried just dropping and dragging.as some said, and it doesnt work. i have tried importing, but all that does is make my puppet dissapear completely from any windows and cannot get it back. I am totally lost.can someone please help? 

I don't understand the difference when using CH in Adobe Cloud Standard Mode versus Pro Mode. I asked a customer service person about it and they said if I only got AC Standard there would be AI features missing but I could still use the Pro mode not just Starter mode. I'm not really sure what these features are and if I'm going to use them.

I have noticed something interesting when I have a character that has head and body turner on.  When the camera is off, the lip sync for the audio from microphone source is perfect.  When I turn the camera on, the lip sync is almost non existent.  I have disabled the audio from my phone since I am running Iriun on computer and phone.  Is there something in Character Animator that could be causing this issue?  Puppet is a waist up character with three views, frontal, left quarter and right quarter.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.  

I have a character whose arms are palm back when they are at his side and as he lifts his arms over shoulder height his arms should swap to palm facing us. Instead they switch randomly at all angles. Strange this is that my first attempt was successful. 

I'm trying to figure out how to best rig a character's tail so that the base of the tail moves with the waist, and the bottom of the tail has ground detection and/or cannot go below the feet/ground.  

I have created my own puppet but I notice the lip syncing has a slight delay when I'm talking. How do I fix this?

Hello! I have a question: how can I improve the image quality of the scene and puppet in Adobe Character Animator?When I zoom in using the camera during the animation, the video starts to show pixels and the quality noticeably drops. This really affects the final result and is a bit frustrating. Is there a way to avoid this?Should I use vector graphics, increase the scene resolution, or are there other recommended methods? Thanks in advance for your help!

help! I have Character animator 25.0 and I've tried 3 x different Web cams. My face shows up but the puppet doesn't move. The mouth moves with the audio but no blinking, head moves etc. I've tried the common troubleshooting but nothing is working 😞 

Please help me before I lose my mind!I’m having trouble with my puppet in Character Animator 25.I’ve made the head independent, added a neck handle, and aligned the origin, but the head either: Falls off or floats when set to independentOr won’t move at all when properly attached Or when I link face behaviours it hangs off  I’ve followed all standard rigging advice — but the behavior still fails please send advice!

Hi everyone, I have learnt a lot now with all your help and samuri on youtube. I have different hands in a swapset which is working but I didn't latch them because I can just change them easier when I want. However I recorded a motion of the left arm and swapped a hand holding down my trigger key part the way through. I then did the same process with the right arm. If I play the recording both arms move at the same time which is what I wanted to achieve as I can't drag them both. The default hands change to a point part the way through the recording which is what i want for a pointing replay with both hands. But when I select the two dragger recordings and save the replay as a trigger, when I press the trigger key the replay reverts back to only showing the default hands. I'm sure I'm not using the best process to have a recorded action to make both arms raise up with default hands and point on the way up?

A few years ago I remember dropping an audio onto a puppet on my iphone, using an app? or maybe a link on adobe website? and it would lip sync to the basic puppet. Anyone remember how to access this or if it's even available? Sorry for the cryptic memory of this experience.

Hi everyone, sorry to be back again asking, but hopefully one day I can be answering too and helping others. I have lipsynced my puppet and throughout the scene for the song I thought I was trying to keep it simple by just changing background images for different verses. However are some verses I want to change my puppets X and Y position because it's in from of key elements in by background. Every time I change the X and Y of my puppet it has the new position throughout the whole scene. I then tried creating it on a camera timeline but that didn't work. What is the best way? I could split my lipsync, verses, and backgrounds into separate scenes but this seems long winded and a step backwards. What is the best way?

Hi everyone, I have two characters in a scene. One I created myself and one downloaded from adobe. My own character keeps randomly doing a smile even though I disable lipsync in behaviours. My character also smiles when I silently mouth hello but any other speech or mouth actions it does what I want and stays on default mouth. the adobe character is fine. What could I be missing if microphone and lipsync are turned off and it's still doing a smile? Thank you for reading.

I want to create a few seconds of a puppet saying a few things in a transparent background.  This is so I can export the video to my video editing software and I can add a few other things to show as background.   

I am just starting and it is disconcerting that the list of projects continuously grows. Close is greyed out. Is there anyway to close a project?

I created a character in Puppet Maker and it has some great poses and replays. The character is a Left Quarter view and I would also like to create a Right Quarter view. I know I can just duplicate and flip it horizontally in Photoshop to create the look, but the rigging, replays, and poses are lost. Is there an easy way to flip the character and preserve these elements? If I also create a Frontal view, is there a way to apply poses and replays from the Left Quarter view to the Frontal view?
