Questions

I'm not sure what this process is, so am not sure how to look it up. I'm working in CMYK but want to export to print, or as RGB SVG for web.I haven't had to do this before - kinda working backwards - but I have a layered AI file with a few transparency modifiers... how do I keep the visual intensity of the AI file on export?Left side is AI... right side export. Any help appreciated!

Looking to reassign a keyboard shortcut in illustrator which uses this text justification that I use in Indesign by typing cmnd backspace after a tab to align the next line of text to the tab area if using a soft return but can't find it anywhere since I lost my preferences. It used to just work in illustrator with the same shortcut but not nowCan anyone help please??

I’d like to request an enhancement to the Blend tool that introduces easing control for transitions between steps. Currently, blends distribute intermediate objects evenly, which limits the ability to create more natural or dynamic progressions in size, position, or color.Specifically, I’d love to see:Easing In/Out Options: A way to control acceleration and deceleration across blend steps, similar to how easing works in animation curves. This would allow for smoother, more organic transitions.Custom Curve Editor: Ideally, include a small graph or curve interface (like the one used in After Effects or Illustrator’s gradient editor) to adjust how aggressively the easing behaves — from linear to exponential, logarithmic, or even custom bezier curves.Per-Attribute Control: If possible, separate controls for position, scale, and color blends to fine-tune how each property eases over the span.This feature would make the Blend function significantly more expressive and time-efficient, reducin

olá, não sei se existe um jeito de configurar as barras de atalhos para outros locais dentro do Illustrator.Exemplo:A barra exibir, ou editar para o botão direito do mouse.Essa que é a minha proposta, se não existir, é claro. Toda vez que precisamos fazer uma repetição de elemento ou padronagem, ou criar uma malha, em um vetor, ou texto, ou qualquer coisa que precisamos  no menu objeto. Temos que correr com o mouse até o menu e escolher o que desejamos. Eu acho muito lento esse processo e poderia muito bem ser mais ágil se tivesse a opção dessa barra, ou de outras no botão direito do mouse.Essa barra é uma das que mais usamos na criação e composição de qualquer arquivo do illustrator, esse tipo de opção ajudaria em muito na produtividade dentro do software. 

I want to save a PDF file from Adobe Illustrator in such a way that all pages (artboards) are automatically converted to JPEG images, and the size of all artboards is reduced to half. This will prevent the client from using the file for large-scale printing and ensure they cannot make any edits. The file should look like a PDF, but all pages should behave like JPEG images. Please note that "NO Watermark" appare in the PDF file. 

Thsi Script exports PDF files to a given folder without saving the current AI-file.When one of the dialoge windows is open, I can navigate through the options and choose them with space-key. So the button gets blue higlighted but the predefined keeps its white outline. But hitting "Return" an the blue colored button, will not work at all. Trabalho com ilustrator e algumas coisas me incomodam ou pra ser mais exato, algumas coisas me ajudariam. Exemplo. Entendo que ao clicar com o botão direito do mouse, aparece algumas funções como simplicar e suavizar linha, entendo que algumas funções ficariam mais praticas e ageis para o usuário se estivesse inclusa dentro da aba do mouse direito, como a barra de menu "objetos", ou algumas funções dela. Outra facilidade que poderia ser incluida nessa área de otimização e agilidade se na barra de tarefas contextuais pudessem ser configuradas ou se elas agissem de modo inteligente, com algumas funções pre-determinadas de acordo com cada elemento que vc clica na cena, exemplo: Quando você selecionasse dois objetos na cena ela aparecesse a função de alinhamento nela, ou em um icone dela, creio que ajudaria na velocidade e praticidade do usuário com o software.   

Hi I used the radial feature to turn a vector image into multiple copies following the shape of a circle. I would now like to ungroup/isolate each image so that they become their own object so that I can individually treat each vector image without all of them being affected, but also be able to permanently remove them from the group to be manipulated as totally separate objects. Isolate lets me temporaily do this, but any changes are then repeated amongst all the objects as soon as I click out of the group. Is there a way to do this? Thank you.

I need to export .dxf files in the AutoCad R12 release format. It looks like newer versions of Illustrator will only export to R13 and later. Which version of Illustrator is able to export to R12?

Hi allI've recently completed a design for a van wrap that I've sent to my signwriter so he can print and install, but he's software cannot handle the size, the file is 1.9GB after exporting it to pdf.The design, a cherry blossom tree (attached) contains 1000+ individually placed blossoms. Each blossom started as an artist's watercolour sketches, that were scanned at high resolution.  I vectorised each blossom (there were about 10 different blossoms).  I then grouped them and linked them into the illustrator file.  The illustrator file I was working on was over 2GB, it was painful to open, save and close, let alone work with.What was I doing wrong at this point?Anyway, I now need to reduce the file size but maintain is scalability.  The illustrator file is at about 10% of the finished size for each side of the van.(Attached is one side of the van.  The other side is almost identical, just the reverse layout.My systemMacbook ProChip - Apple M1 MaxMemory - 64 GBm

How can I change the raster image settings in Adobe Illustrator after the file has already been created and saved? I used adobe illustrator 30.0 (Latest version).

Hi there, I used to use the eyedropper within the recolour artwork tool to select colours from anywhere on my artboard. Specifically as a textile designer I would need to match new artwork colours to old artwork colours so using the eye dropper tool for this in the recolour tool was the fastest way to change specific colours within my artwork. Adobe have since removed it in version 30.0 and its gone from older versions as well (29.8.2). Please adobe can you bring back the eyedropper within recolour artwork, or suggest a fast way around this.  Thanks

Hallo. Misschien voor vele een makkelijk iets maar ik ben het ff kwijt. Ik heb een aantal kleuren in illustrator waar ik een staal van wil maken. Zodat ik die op meerdere pcs kan installeren. Kan iemand me dat simpwl uitleggen. Ik weet het niet meer helaas. 

I'm hoping that there is a way to hide the bright blue Gen AI button in the toolbar. Just my preference to see it go as the bright blue is very distracting.Thanks

The weirdest error ive encountered but its not just changing the WxH to opposites when rotating. I'm holding down shift to rotate and its not actually rotating to a full 90º.I'm also noticing when i use the shape builder to cut a angle off the rectangle (im making a line at -115º over the rectangle) it also goes from being for example - 12mm high, to having the corner points slightly off and becoming 11.97mm but then if i have another shape itll be now 12.36mm - why is it being so weird with the measurements? I've reset the preferences as well but nothings working

I can't belive I have to ask this question, but… how do I print single-sided from Adobe Illustrator 25.2.3? Every time I print, it prints double-sided. The print dialog doesn't seem to mention a single-sided option. What can I do? Thanks.

Hi! I am new to Illustrator and I am trying to create an put two shapes underneath one another to create a bigger object. However, a very thin white line remains between them, as shown in the image attached. I have tried selecting the two objects and using the Distribute Spacing, with the Space set to 0px and the Align to setting set to "Align to Key Object". However, this didn't change anything. Any idea on what could be causing this problem and how to solve it? Thank you!

Illustrator 29.8.2 (64-bit)OS: WindowsVersion: 11.0Process Architecture: x86_64Built-In Memory: 32482 MB Illustrator has crashed twice in the last 12 hours.  Both times it crashed, the recovery file proved to be absolutely worthless, saving none of the work performed during each four-hour session, which hadn't been manually saved.  Automatic data recovery is set to 30-second intervals, but upon restarting the application after each crash, the recovered files contain none of the work performed since the last manual save.  Upon examination of the file recovered after the second crash this morning, and receiving notification that the crash may have been related to an issue with my graphics hardware, I noticed that all of the data in the layer on which I was working when the application crashed had disappeared, and that the layer heading was replaced with a string of unknown characters, preceded by an icon not known to me (somewhat resembling a monitor).  &nbs

Hi, I'm using the Objects on a Path tool for the first time and I want to be able to delete the shapes that are on the endpoints of my path without it affecting the rest of the shapes or distrubution. I also want to be able to delete the path but keep the shapes in their arrangement. Is this possible? Or is this better to achieve another way? Thank you!  

I've been trying to export a pdf for print and illustrator has decided to put this blue line around the artboard. I can't sent it to print like this because the blue line prints. Can't seem to get rid of it. Please help!

I have seen various posting to include AI which claim there is an Astute Graphics plugin that ships with Illustrator. Trying to confirm bc I am not seeing it in Ai 30.0 Also is there a recommended Astute plugin for non commercial use. The suite is more than I want to spend for my use at home. Windows 11 Thanks
