I have reached a breaking point with Adobe software. It is now using so much memory any time that any time I launch an application I can barely get any work done at all. The apps are slow, they lag, they stop responding. I can’t have more than one Adobe app open at a time.Even now, with InDesign sitting idle it is using 2.09 GB. And Photoshop with a file open that is 181 mb is using over 30 GB!!This started when I upgraded to Tahoe. The memory problems and slow downs were unbelieveble so I switched back to Sequoia. That seemed to ersolve the problem for a short while but it is now worse than it has ever been.Please let me know what kind f info you need from me to help with this issue. I’m posting some screen shots that might or might not be helpful--I’m just guessing because I don’t know.Please help!

I already turn on all the Privacy Security on Mac but nothing happened. Full disk access, accessibility, record, anything. It’s still cannot using eyedrop tool outside Photoshop. I’m using Photoshop 2026 with Macbook

My photoshop files are all dated 1970.  Instead of 2008 and on!

I have been using the latest (V27) which seems to be more reliable but is a resource hog.  I went looking around for things to stop to give Photoshop as much of the machine as possible because is taking FOREVER to do anything.  I see 13 “Helper” aps for Creative Cloud running which near as I can tell only are there to make sure I paid my fees.  I killed the 4 Acrobat helpers already.Question: how many of these background apps can I kill and still use photoshop? I am just retouching pictures.  No cloud.  No collaboration.  And yes I paid my annual rental fee.  The only fancy feature I am using is the “beta” photo restore filter.

My problem is very much the same as people have already asked YEARS ago like this one: Color picker lag in Photoshop CC These issues remain unanswered as if all are totally indifferent to people having such problems...The problem is that after installing Windows 10 I noticed a considerable lag in using ALT key for color picking while I'm drawing with a Brush tool. It takes more time than before to take the color (when the color is really changed on the left panel) and that lag is really irritating. If I do it as before, as I usually did (without so much waiting) then the brush tool is activated and I have a brush mark in the place I wanted to take a color sample from! So releasing an ALT key results in un undesirable brush spot that spoils all the work! It slows down the work considerably especially when you a CG artsit and need to blend colors quickly, taking fast color samples from nearby areas, not spotting them with brush spots of the other color!What I've tried so far to save you

Hi everyone, I am currently in a panic. I need photoshop for work almost every day and after updating my Mac Studio 2023 Apple M2 Max to TAHOE 26.4 (I wasn't running Tahoe before this) I cannot run ANY version of photoshop.It runs sort of in the background but I can't see or access the interface, and when I open a file it seems to be there but again I cannot see the interface at all. I’ve been able to run other Adobe apps without a problem but not photoshop. My computer has 64 GB of RAM and 130GB of storage available. I’ve searched over and over again and I cannot find a solution and I am getting very desperate about this.I also ran ETRE CHECK and it doesn't report any issues.Thanks in advance for any help. Hello, I have been experiencing this issue for a while now and it's been really bothering me. When I try to save my designs, the option "Save to Cloud Documents" is greyed out. I am connected to the internet, there is plenty of storage left in my cloud, my app is up to date and I have the auto update turned on. The only thing that works so far is to quit and re-open the app, and while it doesn't take much time it quickly became a hassle because it happens quite a lot. Does this happen to anyone else? I'd appreciate the help, thanks!

Photoshop 2025 Elements won't open, says I need to “buy now”. It let me use it for 7 days by clicking free trial, but now since the 7 days won’t open I’m unable to open it on my PC. I bought a 3 year term lease on 3/5/2025 so I know it hasn’t run out yet. I reinstalled it and I still get the same message. I tried the chat but because it says I don’t have an active plan it won’t let me chat with a human, and AI doesn’t have a clue. I’m using the same email address I did to redeem the code from Amazon. Please help!!! 

hotoshop menu bar on top has been missing and been trying to find a solution but to no avail. everybody asking me to go to the menu bar that is already missing and fix problem from there . wish means no solutuon . am using photoshop latest 2024 . I open application top window bar not there and have to reset preferences zillion of time just to open the app with same problem . anybody have a solution. would be grateful and thankful. Thank you 

I have a new Mac and tried to install photoshop.  It stalled at 48%.  won’t move forward can’t uninstall it.

HELP WITH REINSTALLING OLD PHOTOSHOP VERSION 26.2 (2024) After updating Photoshop software to 26.3 (2025) from Photoshop (2024) (old version deleted in the process) it came up with the following message when opening Photoshop: "macOS 14.6.1 or later is recommended for maximum performance and correct operation of Adobe Photoshop 2025. An earlier version of macOS was detected." As I'm not able to update to macOS 14.6.1 (see operating info below), I decided to uninstall Photoshop 26.3 (2025) and reinstall the older version Photoshop 26.2 (2024) so I would have no issues using Photoshop. The app shows that I have installed the 2024 version and that an update is available, showing it correctly, HOWEVER when I open Photoshop, it's actually the new version 2025!I have uninstalled and reinstalled (via 'other versions' on the app in Creative Cloud), restarted the computer several times without any success to get the old software back. Question:Is there another way to go

In Photoshop 2026 (ps ver 27.9.1) and Photoshop Beta 27.11 on both Mac and Windows, when you create a Clarity and Dehaze Adjustment layer, painting on any layer masks below that Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer results in the effects of said Clarity and dehaze adjustment Layer turning off until one stops painting on a layer mask, which of course makes it quite difficult to erase or add to a layer mask when one doesn’t see the results “live”. In addition, the same thing happens if one uses the Properties panel to adjust either the Density or Feather of any of the layer masks below the Clarity and dehaze Adjustment layer.  Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer added with and adjustment to both the Clarity and Dehaze sliders   Painting on or trying to adjust the properties of any Layer Mask below the Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer hides the effects of said layer.

v279.9.1 is extremly broken! undo whatever youve done because it it extremely unusable. wacom interaction is slow, sluggish and unresponcive. Ctrl Z doesnt function AT ALL. I did not stay to find out what else is broken. I rebooted the wacom and computer, tried old and new documents and realised the fault is you and not me. It was especially aparent when i loaded the old version of photoshop and it works perfectly.

I just upgraded to Photoshop 27.9.1 and the HUD color picker center square is mostly white, with color fading in on the right and bottom of the square. The regular color picker on the tool menu still works fine, but the HUD picker is MESSED UP! Any idea what happened?

Googling has not helped and, while there is one post in the Adobe Community that presents EXACTLY my same issue, there was no assistance provided (link: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/adobe-crash-processor-exe-doesn-t-stop-after-i-exit-photoshop-and-it-locks-up-my-files-and-or-folder/m-p/14306961) Every time I close Photoshop, I am unable to move or delete the file that I just closed. When I run PowerToys' File Locksmith, I can see the file is locked by Adobe Crash Processor.EXE. I end the Adobe Crash Processor.EXE process and my file is unlocked and can be manipulated. This happens EVERY time I close photoshop, even after ensuring I am updated to the most recent version. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Since the latest photoshop update (27.9.1) when I choose Quick Action>View More all the choices are hidden behind my panels. I literally have to move my panels over to be able to see what's behind. it. Is there a fix for this? 

I open several raw files in Camera raw and click through them using the arrow buttons.I use the mouse to zoom in to 100% and back out.Now the arrow buttons don’t work anymore unless I make one extra mouse click into the film stripe area.One extra click sounds like a minor problem, but when you select hundrets of photos, it gets a lot…Version: 18.1.1

Ok, bear with me please as this is the first time I’m asking a question but I’ve been a photoshop user for over 15 years.  I am having problems in the last month that after editing a bit several things will happen at once- My alt no longer works (I am usually using it before adding layer mask in order to hide all when I notice it).  Any brush type tool (brush, heal, dodge, etc) as well as quick select and lasso, etc will only register the initial place I click and will not drag.  Meaning one pin point whatever size and nothing else.  IT seems to be only in photoshop, although I did notice in Camera raw none of my sliders are working. I can adjust by clicking or manually entering numbers but I cannot grab and drag it across the sliders which I used to be able to do.   That is a constant and doesn’t happen just with the glitch happens.  When the glitch happens, restarting photoshop will fix it temporarily.  I cannot find one thing that sets it off, after MULTIPLE days of testing things.
