why is it if i open an image in PS which has a dpi of 300 (image sourced from Shutterstock), work on the image and then use Export As JPG, the resulting ppi is 72 according to PS. I checked my Export Prefs and they are set to JPG and 100 for quality, so why does it export as 72 and not 300? I need to supply images in my document at 300dpi not 72dpi

When I click liquify and try to edit it won’t let me save it, or cancel. I have done updates, restarts, etc. 

I am using an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card but in photoshop, when I try to use camera raw, I get an error message saying that graphics processor acceleration is required. The graphics card drivers have been updated recently. I see that there is an option to use the graphics processor in the preferences settings but this is greyed out. Any ideas please?

I am trying to remove a stop light from an image, but when I apply the brush it erases but leaves behind streaks of the arch as well as white strip. Any idea why the brush would leave a white strip or copy other parts of the arch? Previously, this image here was copied from the similar arch and laid on top with the move tool. 

I do sky replacements, and I always use the same parameters. But I can’t get Photoshop to apply them, either batch, action, script, nothing works. It always defaults to the basic sky replacement values, and I have to tweak them one by one which is useless if I have may images to do. I’ve tried coding a Jsx file, still no luck, made a lot of tweaks, nothing. No idea why this issue persists. It’s a cool tool, but to be honest not being able to batch it is a HUGE let down. When is this tahoe26 update coming its ridiculous how long this is taking!!!! Every other editing software i have is updated but noooooooooooo not the billion dollar company adobe!

Help! My hotkeys seem to have siuddenly broken.The basic function of making a lasso selection and using Shft+Ctrl+C to make a merged copy of the layers in the selection is no longer working. Instead it opens some weird chat / dialogue box that I've never seen or used before.I can still use this function if I go to the Edit menu and select Copy Merged but the hotkey doesn't work.

Hi, I have a Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet with 16 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 8 S Gen 3 CPU, and on Google Play it tells me that I cannot install Photoshop Mobile because it’s not compatible. If I try to install it manually, it doesn’t work either. Could you provide information on whether this is temporary? According to the technical requirements needed for the app to run, this tablet should have more than enough power.

Hello!I'm fairly new to Photoshop and am trying to practice.I've used the select and mask tool several times without any problems, but today it's giving me trouble. When I use it, it selects what I want, but shifts it.Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you in advance!

When I enhance photos with CS6 extended. I sometimes get a white outline on certain subjects. I attempted to download a 5.17 meg example photo but for some reason it wouldn't download. I'm wondering if there is a way to prevent this from happening or a way to eliminate it when it does.

I’m trying to use File → Export → Export As… to batch-export multiple files in WebP format. In Photoshop version 27.2.0, the format dropdown only shows PNG, JPG, and GIF. How can I enable WebP as an export option without having to add a script?Here is what I see:  

I am trying to generate a simple stethoscope. Why does the generative fill extend BEYOND the selection edges. None of the results are usable. Is this a known defect? I cannot see any reason why that would be an accepted or wanted behavior to generate the image beyond the edges of the selection. Makes the whole thing useless IMO Windows 10Version 26.3.0

When I use the sharpen command in flex.2 Pro I generally get very positive results.  How does flex.2 Pro respond to a command such as “sharpen 150%?” Does this command increase the sharpening default value by 150%?

Am I mistaken or does the clarity and dehaze adjustment layer work on multiple pixels as opposed to »classical« Adjustments that processed each pixel individually? Which would mean »Filter Layers« may have come to Photoshop? 

Whenever I have a smart filter applied to a shape layer, any time I try to transform it, such as scale, the effect disappears even though the eye icon clearly shows that it’s enabled. The only way to fix it is to disable and then reenable the filter. This seems like a simple bug that can be fixed, rather than bloating the app with new AI features. Do better!

Error in Image Processor (command sequence).When I run a batch of files to convert them all, for example to JPG files, and I get the message ‘The fade command is not available’, so for each and every file, and I have to press Enter making this command quite slow and manual.

I am using Photoshop CS6. When I merge a folder with Ctrl+ E, not only does it merge the layers but it also crops it to the canvas size. Sometimes the layers in the folder have images that extend past the canvas and I want to preserve that even after merging.Is there a setting that I need to change so that merging a folder doesn’t crop the merged image?? Am I doing something wrong? (Please don’t suggest “just use the updated CC version” because currently I don’t have access to that at the moment)

hello,I have cutted the foreground car with pen tool and paste on onother background.now the problem is: the shadow on for side of the car looking very ugly on new background.  I tried spot healing tool but I couldn't fix it . I am already 2 hours bussy to fix it .how I can solve this shadow problem on the for  side og the car .  I see also the for side of the car is not very clean.

My question addresses artifacts resulting from selections.In the first image, I simply drew a selection rectangle with zero feather.  (Anti-alias was grayed-out.)  I then used alt-backspace to fill the selection with the foreground color.  The edges of the filled selection are perfectly smooth. Then, I used the pen tool to draw a path, converted the path to a selection (feather radius = 0, anti-aliased checked), then used content aware fill to fill-in the area.  The edges of the filled area are (1) not smooth like the original rectangle and (2) are substantially different from one another.  The edge furthest to the right shows the most obvious jagged edge. The second image shows a path, converted to a selection, then filled with the content-aware fill command.  Notice the slight jagged edge and white line. These images are shown at high magnification.  However, the artifacts are visible at Print View.  More to the point, I would just like to know what causes this aliasing (if that’s wh

I was working on a psd file and I was able to open it just fine on 2024 Photoshop but when I got the new 2025 Photoshop I could no longer open the file. When I tried to open it a popup would come up saying that the file is not able to open and I had to restart photoshop. Not sure what the problem is.
