How do I create a simple dotted line in Premiere Pro? I'm able to draw a solid line with the pen tool, but how do I make it dotted? This must be easy and I'm missing it. Thank you!
ça me rend dingue. Voici 2 captures d’écran qui illustrent cela. merci de bien vouloir m’aider !
Hi, Everyone. This was a tough one to even know how to search properly, but here goes:I had a multicam edit that was working perfectly normally a few weeks ago, then I opened it up earlier this week and it is suddenly completely randomized. The actual synced source multicam sequence is still just fine. My process for this edit is the same as I’ve always done for years, but this one has suddenly randomized. Here’s my workflow:I transcribe the audio track within premiere. I create a multicam sequence by selecting two camera angles and one audio file, and sync by timecode. I open the multicam sequence in the source viewer, play it as I read through the transcript tab, and add clips to a “Selects” sequence using the traditional marking of in and out points and either overwriting or inserting. I then copy/paste (either by actual copy/paste, or by dragging from one sequence to the next) from selects into my working sequence. I edit/refine that, switch cameras, etc. All the normal editing pra
Steps to reproduce the issue:Say we have two clips: one at 16 fps and the same at 60 fps. I'll also attach a second pair of files: scene1_16fps.mp4, scene1_60fps.mp4, scene2_16fps.mp4, scene2_60fps.mp4. Just in case, I'll attach MediaInfo for the files. I don't suppose there's a way to preview what LUTs will look like without selecting them in the Lumetri effect browswer, is there? It's kind of tedious to load them one at a time, and even then, it's difficult to compare one against another or a group of other options. It would be nice if they could display a sample frame of every LUT in a directory/folder as you can view various presets in effects like Trapcode Form and Particular, Particle Illusion, Magic Bullet Looks, etc. Is this an option with any third party color correction plug in? Looks has an LUT effect, but you still have to browse a folder, and choose one at a time. Seems like it would be possible to build an effects bundle for Looks that does this, but would require some work to accomplish. That's the kind of work I'd gladly pay somebody else to do.
Goal / ContextI’m trying to maintain a clean Project Panel where each source file exists only once—no duplicate instances of the same media.⸻The ProblemSometimes I accidentally import the same file into Premiere more than once. Then I end up editing different sequences that reference different instances of that same file in the Project Panel.⸻Main Question (Fixing It After the Fact)Once this has happened: • Is there any way to consolidate those duplicates? • Specifically, can I tell Premiere to: • Point all sequences to a single chosen instance of the file • Then safely delete the duplicate instance(s) from the Project Panel?⸻Prevention (Avoiding This in the Future) • Is there a setting or workflow that prevents duplicate imports? • For example: • Can Premiere automatically detect duplicate files during import and warn me? • Or skip importing duplicates altogether?⸻Duplicate Detection Tools • Is there any built-in tool (or plugin) th
So is there any workflow of MAINTAING my HDR footage in premiere pro that was recorded in Iphone with HDR setting on? Or do I literally need to switch softwares to maintain the HDR look? Was suppose to be a simple 5min edit of blurring he numberplate, that has turned into an hour of scouring forums trying to look for a FIX that maintains the colours and look of HDR that came out of the Iphone. If there isn’t any fixes to maintain the EXACT look, then so be it. Just tires of all those Modify this and modify that, which don’t still give the exact look on how it looks out of the IphoneHere are the 2 photos, one is out of the premiere and one is out of the Iphone
I'm trimming the in-point of a clip with the Ripple Edit tool, but as I drag my cursor the clip shrinks in real time. I seem to remember it not updating until I released the mouse — similar to how trimming with the Selection tool works. Has this behavior always been live, or is there a setting I'm missing?
Hi all, I am looking for some sort of time tracker extension that can register my time automatically and label it per sequence or at least per project. My goal is to get data to reference when I am trying to get an idea of how long different types of projects take. Any thoughts? If there is one that works in After Effects, that would be cool too.
We are trying to make space, but unable to delete files with any success, is there a trick to this?I have the full CC Suite.
Hi everyone, hoping someone can help.I’m currently using Frame.io as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and I’m running into an issue with storage. I’ve deleted a number of files and folders, but my storage usage doesn’t seem to decrease at all.I’ve checked and removed content from my projects, but it looks like the space isn’t being freed up. I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing, such as a trash or archive area that also needs to be cleared, or if there’s a delay before storage updates.Has anyone experienced this before? Do files need to be permanently deleted from somewhere else, or is there another step required to actually free up space?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cannot use tutorials in the app. I have access to the internet, I am writing on my computer right now. The tutorials don't load in the list under help tab and the one that pops up when you first open the the app does not work either! The thread about this was written in 2023, it says this: Navigate to the /Users/Shared/Adobe/Premiere Pro 2023/Learn Panel/payloads/en_US folder When I copy paste the above nothing comes up in files on my mac When I tried to put the same file but changed it to say PremierPro2025 it did not work when looking for files on my mac.
Greetings from the UK! I'm trying to create a multi camera edit from an initial edit on A cam, (using the sound from A Cam) but one of the cameras (B cam) couldn't be processed...any ideas? Could anyone kindly give me a step by step walk through in order to create a sequence using all three cameras? I'm also very much a beginner! Thx, Dom
Long time listener. First time caller. Thanks for taking my question. Long story short, I can’t figure out why Premiere is exporting 8 channel audio as a single channel. This is not a new workflow for me. It’s something I’ve done literally hundreds of times. But I can’t figure out why this is happening or what I’m doing wrong. Images for verification of my procedure. Project set up to import stereo tracks as dual mono so L and R is on channel 1 and 2. Track mixer is set to L on all odd channels and R on all even channels. After I bring in four stereo tracks, making 8 channels total, I set the output channel assignments within the timeline (image 2 shows track 5 as the 5-6 assigned track). I then export and specify 8 channels in the export settings (image 4).I import the exported file back into the timeline, and the only audio information is on track 1 (see image 1). 2-8 are blank as far as I can tell. I’m also only getting left channel audio during playback. It’s the same as
Using Adobe Premiere Pro 2026 is currently completely unworkable for me. Within the first 20 minutes of use, I’m encountering persistent and critical issues that make the software unusable in a professional environment: The playhead regularly freezes or becomes unresponsive The timeline will start playing, then continues playing indefinitely, ignoring all input Playback cannot be stopped — the only solution is to force-restart Premiere Exports frequently hang at 0%, with no progress or error message When this happens, Premiere must again be force-restarted This is happening on an extremely simple timeline: 1 video layer (HD footage) 1 audio layer Media stored on a fast external SSD No effects, plugins, or heavy processing System details: Mac Studio M3 Ultra macOS 15.7.3 Premiere Pro 2026 Troubleshooting already completed: Cleared all media caches Reset preferences Fully uninstalled Premiere Pro (including preferences and support files) Performed a clea
The video was shot upside down so now I want to preview it inthe source panel, but I dont see how to rotate it there.Must I put it in the timeline, rotate it, save it all over againas a new file, import, and THEN view it in source? Thanks anyone
Every time I try to open a project in Premiere Pro, I just get the spinning wheel until I eventually give up and force quit the application. This is happening with all my Premiere projects and is not exclusive to a single one (and the projects open fine on other computers). I can open Premiere and create a new project, but if I close Premiere and try to reopen the new project, I get the spinning wheel again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere. Cleared my cache. Restarted the computer multiple times. I even downloaded the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, which uninstalled and cleared every Adobe product on my machine, then reinstalled Premiere and still got the same wheel issue. I'm not sure what else to try outside of resetting my entire computer... any suggestions?
When I export the video I am editing, it ends up being way brighter than what it was originally. How do I fix this?OriginalExported
I used to make multiple masks with this simple effect - you just use it’s opacity parameter and make as many masks as needed. What is more important, an Alpha adjust mask was independent - you could isolate an object with it and add Drop shadow, Glow, Stroke as a second effect and this effect completely ignored the fact that there is a mask and it’s not the object which is somehow rounded.Image + Drop shadow >» Opacity mask + Drop shadowAlpha adjust + Drop shadowNow I move the new 26.0.2 mask data on the Alpha adjust and nothing happens. The effect does not know how to use that data. With that there is no way to use any layer “edge” effects (stroke, glow, shadow, volumetric rays, roughen edges and so on) without nesting. And everybody hates nesting because it gives you one new layer which even doesn’t inherit the layer name and cannot be unnested if else. So… Adobe, please do something good about it.
I am importing media into my bin and they’re playing as duplicates in the source monitor. They're also reading as the same clip within the bin. Once you place clip on the timeline does it show the original footage within the clip, no longer the duplicate. I’ve reset my preferences, updated my PP app, and still nothing is helping. Please advise.
I don't know how to say or ask this. But when I create a sequence and add any effect, color matte, video, audio or anything I can't see them unless I move zoom slider for 3s to 5s or at least after many frames. I have tried everything, every possible troubleshoots online. Update the GTU, change the settings, clear the media cache, start time and everything. And also, that not any available answer address or solve my problem. I am using Pro 2025. and it's very frustrating that I can't see assets in my sequence and this frustrate me a lot.First image when I stand zoom in-out slider at the end point. And in the second image it is just slight mooved forward.
I use Lightroom Classic as my initial catalog. I import footage by date and tag photos and videos with keywords in Lightroom. I then edit photos in Lightroom and video in Premiere. I’d like to know if there’s a way for Premiere to read the Lightroom keyword metadata so I can view or search by those keywords in Premiere. My goal is to have search bins in Premiere that automatically populate based on these keywords. Is there any field in Premiere’s metadata that can sync or read Lightroom keywords? Any workflow tips appreciated!
When using text based editing, especially when removing multiple pauses or filler words at once, there is a bug which causes there to be multiple 1-frame clips stuck between the actual video-clips. To fix it, I have to manually delete all of these excess single-frame clips, sometimes hundreds of them - as there is no way to automatically delete all clips with a length shorter than 2 frames, or something alike (this would practically solve the problem). This makes the text based editing feature borderline unusable for me, especially for long (30 min+) videos with lots of text. Encounter this bug by going through the following steps:1. Import a video file where someone is speaking2. Use text based editing to automatically remove all (small) pauses3. Find countless single-frame clips in your sequenc e, between the actual cut clips you want to use
HelloWant to export a XML from Adobe Premiere for Davinci Resolve in the right way. I have been exporting XML from Premiere to Davinci for ages and never got any problem. But want to know what Adobe engineers suggests to export a XML from Adobe Premiere to color grade in Davinci Resolve? So I shoot this film in 3840x2160 XF-AVC in my Canon C70. I am done with my editing in Adobe Premiere. Now I am going to send it for color grading. My colorist uses Davinci Resolve. My timeline setting are:Frame size: 1440x1080Square Pixels23,976 fpsDelivery codec: Apple Pro res 422Want to create a XML to send it to Davicini Resolve. Want the colorist to color grade an 1440x1080 timeline. Why I want that? Because I want the final frame size in 1440x1080 and want the colorist to color grade only the crop image (shoot it in 3840x2160 and my final frame size is 1440x1080).How should I prepare my timeline, in the right way, for an Adobe Premiere XML exporting to DaVinci Resolve using my timeline configuratio
